Levi Johnston CBS interview part two.
I think it is funny that they included Staplemouth's statement at the end of this segment. And I have to say that now I am looking forward to Oprah's interview with Sarah MUCH more than I was before.

The feud is about to go nuclear and she thinks it can be all hugs and kisses between Levi and Sarah.
Love the comment they have asked repeatedly for grizzly mama bear to be interviewed and she has declined. They probably didn't offer her enough money so who is really selling their body for money? Sarah or Levi. One is a teenager and the other acts like a teenager! Sarah is more likely a candidate for TOTUS (Teenager of the US) not POTUS.

No matter what he knows, no one is going to take him seriously unless he gets some serious grooming ("Of the social variety"), and is given some solid adult supervision (Hulking bodyguards don't count). ReplyDeleteThe belief that Sarah Palin will agree to an open, no holds barred conversation with Oprah is founded in hope. Hope for the impossible. There is absolutely no way that this will happen. We have to accept that and stop wishing for the unrealistic.
Thank goodness Mercede has a brother that is willing to support her. Boy Levi comes across as an honest young man. Not all stage props are willing to go back into the closet.LOL!!!

ReplyDeleteOh for heaven's sake. OPRAH? She will softball Sarah through the whole thing. OPRAH is no one and nothing. Sarah is there to sell a "book" (with lots of photos and blank white spaces).
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone actually read the garbage OPRAH recommends? It is absolute drivel. So Sarah fits in well with her framework as to "authors" although most authors do WRITE their own books (something Sarah will never be accused of).
Levi is still trying to play the game but I don't think until he really starts letting stuff out, it will ever go his way. He is not actually a true match for a narcississtic sociopathic schizo like her.
I have said it before and I will say it again, Bristol is a complete idiot. Levi so obviously really loved her, but I guess the apple didn't fall far from the tree in this case. He is a sweet kid and I like him. I am going to be extremely disappointed in Oprah if she lets Sarah off the hook. Even if she doesn't want to discuss the Trig issue, there are plenty of other "topics" to hold Madam's fee to the fire.

ReplyDeleteI for one find Levi to be honest and straight forward. A young man who was used and thrown out by the Palin family is now finding a way to navigate the attention she threw his way.
Sarah comes across as anything but truthful. She thinks she can intimidate or bully everyone, including Levi into submission, well she just primed him to be her truth-teller.
Sarah never looks ahead at consequences, a good reason she could never be President! But now she has someone who is not in her family that she can't intimidate and won't back down from her manipulations.
I am proud of Levi for standing up to her. It takes a lot of courage and I believe he is standing on principle and maybe a little anger, and rightly so. She used him for her purposes and then back stabbed him when she had no use for him.
I have no pity for Sarah and I hope that he exposes her lies and lets her find out that not everyone can be manipulated or intimidated by her.
Whose the retard now Sarah! Those words should have never come out of your mouth! And yet you know they did and someone is telling on you! It matches perfectly with your warped sense of life. Shame on You!
It really shows how stupid she really is!
Levi handled himself well, especially as the interview seemed to be more pro-Palin than pro-Levi. I agree with j that he is unsophisticated. Personally, I would like to hope that he retains some of his simplicity, that's what appeals to many of us. I'd hate to see him become a caricature of Palin, and I don't think he'd be terribly happy living in the limelight and in the fast lane.
ReplyDelete$P is still smarting over her Katie Couric interview and will not say anything nice about CBS. It is always easier to blame someone else than to accept our own shortcomings.
I seriously doubt Palin will show up for Oprah and even have a monetary bet with my misguided, but beloved, sister who adores Palin and is a staunch Republican.
I wish there was a fund set up for Levi to give him a hand with tending to his family. I'd certainly donate to it.

I totally agree. I think he is being managed poorly to the point where I think he is just being taken advantage of. Levi should either just put up or shut up. Not saying this as a threat, but more to build credibility so that future statements carry more water.
But I am losing faith in Levi. His big news apparently was that he called Trig a "retard." That is the big news? Really Levi? I mean it is bad if true, but you could at least get something that is verifiable or something on camera or recorder. This isn't concrete evidence I expected which would initiate a Sarah downfall. This just makes him look like a gossip and people don't like that.
As for Playgirl, just don't do it. Poor choice. It plays off as desperate. Also, it has more male viewership. My friend has them in his bathroom!
Just be careful Levi. Build your cred, lose the goons, and be a father. THEN bust Sarah up.
Levi is becoming more articulate with every interview; less self-conscious, more able to relax and even laugh (the Christmas comment was a hoot). Yes, he is still unsophisticated, but far less than before.
ReplyDeleteAs far as idiot questions by the reporter, I imagine she has to include some of the questions some viewers might want to ask. There are probably those that are naive enough to think there's hope for Bristol and Levi at this late date. Slim chance of that.
Does anyone wonder if he's going to have the baby for the holidays, as so many dads do? That'd be an interesting set of questions for Oprah to ask - ha.
Levi strikes me as basically, a nice kid, and I wish him well.
Good for Levi for supporting his family, and making lemonade after the lemons thrown at him by the gang-like Palin family.

Does Playgirl have articles along with pics? You know, "to bare it all" has different meanings to different people. It can refer to body parts--or to revealing more significant sorts of things...
Gryphen: You, no doubt, know more than you're telling--is there a posibility that Levi might just...well, you get my drift.
One thing for sure, a the moment that SP was nervously giving her resignation speech, young Levi was in New York--as I recall, Meghan Stapleton was (dispatched?)there, too. I, for one, believe that at that point in time, SP's knees were knocking at the prospect that the boy was about to "bare it all," right there and then.
You all should read the article written by Ann Althouse headlined at Hot Air. It is very fair to Levi and very true. Almost makes you want to cry...so sad.

ReplyDeleteLevi's credibility holds up in this segment. The side glances (with smiles) continue when asked to describe offers he turned down and again when asked about reconciling with the Palins. It looks like the camera may have cut off other glances toward Tank. Levi sounded so wistful when saying he wished his relationship with Bristol worked out.
Too bad it was pretaped and we didn't get his reaction to Palin's exaggerated tongue-lashing. Another pretaped interview with ET airs tonight.
On yesterday's segment, they aired video of Sarah & Todd returning to AK to see Track before his Sept 11 troop deployment. It was another angle of the scene I watched live and which shocked me at the time. S&T's children and a rally were at the airport to greet them. Sarah hadn't seen her children since the convention and I was shocked at the brief attention she gave them, especially Trig who got a peck on the cheek, as she hurried toward the podium. This may have been the moment I seriously questioned Sarah's birthing Trig as I couldn't imagine a mother not needing to hold her 4 month old baby after almost a week apart.
Just a thought. I had wondered why Levi would do the Playgirl shoot (other than to have it be published right around the time of her book just to embarrass her). It would seem to undermine what credibility he had.
ReplyDeleteBut in light of this ongoing "tease" he's doing by the drip-drip of embarrassing facts and alluding to really bad stuff that will take her down, I wonder if it is about more than just money & modeling. The fight no longer seems to be about the Johnstons vs the Palins (its about Levi vs Sarah) and the odd "Me and Mrs. Palin" title in the Vanity Fair article does make you wonder if there was a Mrs. Robinson thing goin' on back when.....so is the very personal nature of the Playgirl pictures just another tease/"shot over the bow" at Palin about what he is about to "expose" about her ???

Levi seems sweet but dumb, and is making a big mistake with the Playgirl job. It is really a porn site, not just "tasteful" photos of hunky men, and even if his photo does not show him in sex acts, other parts of the Playgirl site have this kind of material. I can't see it helping his career in any way; just the opposite.

I'm sure given SP's statement about selling his body, alot of her followers have been calling him a prostitute, whore, etc. They are vicious when defending their queen. And SP has to trash him on Oprah b/c she's already done so in the book. She thinks her best move is to completely destroy his credibility so when he does out her no one will believe him. I think in the end he is going to completely sell her out.

FYI -- Levi is being interviewed on Entertainment Tonight (Thurs). Part 2 of the interview will be on Friday. One of the teaser questions they have just asked is Whether Sarah and Todd will get divorced.

Many of her readers can't get past laughing about genitalia, I suppose that is a step up from being stuck on fart jokes.
They are people who are banking on Levi being only a kid surrounded by people who see him as a meal ticket or chance to diminish a strong conservative Christian woman.
Levi is saying he does pay support and see his son. His goal is to share custody.
Why do Althouse commenters make those remarks about Levi not having a family? That is like Sarah going along with mocking Lyda Green sick with cancer or calling a child retard. If someone has no family that is misfortune.
Levi was homeschooled with Bristol at the Palin's house. It sounds like the Palins did take some responsibility for the teen. I'd like to hear more about what he has to say about the education he received at the Palins.

I think Levi did very well, he's a lot more "sophisticated" and calculating than people are giving him credit for. He's 19 years old and has his family to support, protect, and defend. He has a child to support, and after being marginalized and discarded after Sarah's benefit from having him around evaporated, who would blame him for feeling hurt?

The more I see this fella, the more I like him. You have to remember that he is still only 19. Maybe he's doing Playgirl to needle Bristol. Did you ever think of that? After all she dumped him.
