Andrew Breitbart gives the worst interview EVER!

Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Wow! have you ever seen anybody as defensive as this guy?

Yeah, MSNBC and other media sources did kind of jump the gun about wiretapping, but when you have two guys dressed like phone company repairmen, and they have a guy with a recording device sitting outside in the car, it is a fairly easy mistake to make.

I think this guy is a joke and he is terrified that the conviction of O'Keefe will reveal that he is a partisan hack who was so desperate to find some dirt on the Democrats that he was willing to hire a little weasel whose only claim to journalistic ability was a completely manufactured ACORN expose.

And this is the kind of "journalism" practiced by Fox News and its affiliates. No wonder the teabaggers are so ignorant.

WTF are you going on about now? Schuster was reprimanded by his bosses for being "ignorant"

Absolutely correct Gryphen. If this leads directly to Diaper Dave Vitter, ProstitutesRUs supporter, we'll have a field day.

And in all honesty, Breitbart is a moron....and he wants dirt without confirming anything. He deserves to look like an ass.

They just don't get the "what goes around comes around thing" do they?

Another fact overlooked in all this is that the father of one of the defendants is the Republican attorney general in Shreveport who has been targeted by Landrieu to be replaced.

  4. So they asked to see the phone closet. What were they going to do? Disconnect the phones; check the lines out? I mean what was the point? They were going to TAP them - that's the only possible reason they'd have to check out the phone closet. It was not a PRANK. A 13 year old activating a fire alarm in school commits a prank. A 25 year old man posing as as a phone repairman and trying to obtain access to telephone lines commits a crime; a felony. And he admitted it. I hope this is tied in with FOX so badly.

Boo Shuster let Breitbart control him. What a punk.

He should have asked him to retract the slander of Acorn.

Keith would have handed him his ASS

Thank you Gryphen for posting the link to the Huffington story by John Atlas and Peter Dreier.

I have watched some of the videos that they 'allowed' to be seen in that they refused the viewing of the raw footage, and at no time does O'Keefe in his "pimp" gear appear in the same frame as the ACORN person. In fact, in a few, you can hear the abrupt stop in the footage indicating a very poor splicing job.

One video watched, you could see the woman (pink top) punked O'Keefe. You could see in her face how she was constructing the story which built on itself to the point it was truly unbelievable, yet O'Keefe was the idiot and fell for it hook, line and sinker.

This all will come back to bite many people, including those Rethuglicans in DC.

Vitter, Vitter - where are you Bitter Vitter!! Watch you neck baby as it's in a sling too!!

I don't know what I was thinking. I always thought an interview went something like this:

Host: Welcomes guest, asks a question.

    Guest: Answers question.

    Host: Asks follow up question.

    Guest: Answers question.

Host: Asks new question...you get the idea.

It was good that Shuster let Breitbart make such a public ass of himself, but he let it go on too long. He should have shut him down.

  9. Breitbart has a whole lot to be defensive about.

I only got to about 3:50 in the clip. The talking over each other was driving me nuckinfuts!

However, it was enough to confirm that Breitbart is an asshat!

Maybe I'll try to finish it in a little while, though.

One should not make any judgments on this case based solely upon new media at this time.

Simply because based upon what Is known there are two charges possible at this time, yet only one has actually been made. The FBI will can add/amend charges at any time and will do so based upon the evidence.

Phones, recording devices, or any other paraphernalia found on or around the defendents would have been confiscated and admitted as evidence. Based upon this, there would have been a warrant with cause issued to any telephone company that the defendants have accounts with, to include voice mails, etc. With one or more persons, conspiracy to commit felony charges are possible along with any others brought to light by the ongoing investigation. Breitbart better be hoping no calls were made to him about this incident or he to could be seeing warrants for his phone records and charges.

First charge of fraudulent entry to federal building with intent to commit a felony has been entered.
Trying to enter the separate area of the communications closet (in actuality a room) would be a separate charge, due to it having it's own security which they tried to circumvent.

At this time, what we have is various individuals trying to influence public opinion. Only necessary if they think it would go to trial, which may or may not happen. A plea depending on evidence is possible. Discovery only on the charge made at this time is necessary, so what is known by the public is only based upon the initial charge. Nothing else.

There is a gag order in effect on these charges, which at least one defendant has chosen to ignore, which is not smart and can influence whether or not the FBI choses to offer a plea or the judge to grant one.

There is a lot more to this case, than what is in the media right now, whichever way it goes and whatever the intent at the time might have been.

Don't think post 9/11 mentality in this case, think post Oklahoma City and then think about why and what that means and is about.

    Hey Anon @ 3:49,
Breitbart also admitted that "journalist" O'Keefe was on his payroll. Asshats like Breitbart push the IOKIARDI mantra to include felonies. Breitbart is scared shitless because if O'Keefe rolls over on him, Mr. B is looking at serious jail time. Andrew Breitbart strikes me as someone who would end up being very low on the federal prison food chain. Breitbart would be responding to a lot of "Yo, bitch!" requests from people who aren't impressed by his arrogant smartass routine.

Breitbart is a posturing imbecile who condescendingly rebukes Schuster for using the word "wiretapping" when referring to O'Keefe's charges. True, he has yet to be charged with that crime, but O'Keefe and his shit-head posse did have wiretapping equipment with them, so while not technically accurate, Schuster was not distorting the essential elements of the story. Breitbart and O’Keefe have not a shred of dignity left which they can defend. O’Keefe is an indicted felon and Breitbart may soon join him in that ignominious distinction.

Meanwhile, stickler for the truth Breitbart was one of the biggest fans of O'Keefe's pimp daddy act. Subsequent investigations revealed that NOTHING was done wrong by ACORN in relation to that bit of teabagger ridiculosity. Teabaggers howled, yet like all of the other bullshit charges against ACORN, it is just so much nonsense. Despite all of the teabagger hot air expelled about ACORN, no vote fraud has been proven or even formally charged and nothing wrong was done by ACORN employees while O'Keefe enacted his pathetic "journalistic" charade last fall. The entire ACORN meme has been flogged to death for at least 6 years by the fanatical right wing of the GOP and every single bit of it has been absolute bullshit. Not a damn bit of substance in that whole time.

So, teabaggers would be well advised to cease and desist with the comically idiotic cries of “ACORN!” whenever you are trying to gain political traction against President Obama. It has simply grown tiresome in its ludimocrosity. Unless, of course, you have new information as to precisely when the ACORN concentration camps will be up and running.

You teabaggers wouldn't recognize the truth if it bit you in the ass. If Schuster is "ignorant" then teabaggers are knuckle dragging cousin fucks who hyperventilate about every bit of imbecilic drivel that issues forth from the piehole of Breitbart and the mendacious tribe of GOP whores at FauxNews.

Spare us your indignation of anyone slandering O'Keefe or Brietbart. These two arrogant morons somehow imagined that federal law didn't apply to them. I remember when one of the pillars of conservatism was “law and order.” My, how times have changed.

Whether O’Keefe faces wiretapping charges or not, there is no legal defense for doing what he did. None. If Breitbart had ANY connection to this stupid little felonious stunt, then he too should be charged. I hope these pompous little odious turds all do jail time. That’s what happens when you violate the law. Teabaggers don’t get to do whatever the hell they want without consequences.

If Breitbart and O’Keefe and Co. liked teabagging on the outside, I’m sure they’ll be the recipient of many federal prison “teabagger parties” in the very near future. It will serve them right.

  13. Schuster was reprimanded by his spineless MSM corporate toadies for being inappropriate, not ignorant.

Only an ignoramous will believe O'Keefe wasn't attempting to wiretap Landrieu's phone.

  22. It is one thing if these idiots had simply been in the office and checked the phones, tried to call, saw that the call would not go through and record the reaction of staff at the time to this, which by the way is what they are claiming was their intent.

What they forget in their claims is that we know from the police affidavit that they also asked to be taken to the closet which houses the wiring for the phone system. THAT calls into question their stated motive and there would be no reason for them to be headed for the closet (which is when they were "caught" without credentials) unless they were planning something different than simply taping the office staff in order to get their reactions to supposed "down phone lines".

These young men will be very lucky to keep themselves out of jail for this stupid idea, and hopefully they will spill their guts about who put them up to it, but they may not do so because it will keep them from ever being trusted by anyone ever again (who might want to partake of their "services")

Well if Breitbart wanted to stay out of the spotlight that is tarring the Louisiana Gate burglers he totally blew it.

Asking some one to retract something they have already retracted, in front of a couple of million witnesses is pretty stupid and indicates a reeeeeally bad attitude.

I suspect that MSNBC and other news media, like the internets will now go after this guy, not so much for his tactless interview as for his attitude, and lack of professionalism, and aggressiveness.

    Why was he so angry?
    Why is he so defensive?

Well he, or his four puppies are being sued by ACORN. And since ACORN just won in court concerning their O'Keefe dirty trick, as defendants, there is a good chance ACORN will win as plaintiffs.

ACORN’s lawyers are probably already subpoenaing Breitbart and his employees and documents.

He is now finding out what it feels like to be the target.

  24. Seems to me if these knuckleheads were just checking on Senators staff and phones...counting #of staff/phones that could be a possible excuse. But, when you mess with the phone closet...you have to know what you are doing. Who gave these knuckleheads training in this area?

    Details...we need more details!

  27. People usually lie when they have NOTHING to justify their positions. In my opinion this explains, in part, why Breitbart appears to be so angry and defensive. O'Keefe became a media celebrity with the help of Fuchs Noose, Breitbart, and their rw supporters. Because they have nothing that can prove that ACORN has committed voter fraud, they cook up scheme after scheme in an attempt to smear the organization. ACORN has been investigated and proven innocent, but they will not accept it. Congressman Grayson successfully blocked an attempt by republicans in Congress to stop ACORN from receiving any money from the government. The lawsuit he filed established that the bill would violate the Constitution because it would have been a bill of attainder, designed to target one entity for a specific punishment. Breitbart is already in trouble. Lawsuits against O'Keefe, Breitbart, and others involved in the highly edited ACORN videos have been filed in two states because it is illegal in these states to videotape anyone without their permission. I wouldn't be surprised at all if the money trail leads to Breitbart and beyond.

It's just a shame that people like this can't be interviewed in the press the same way they could in court. He doesn't answer questions, he just evades, talks over the questions and demands he answer the real question, and stall for time until the interviewer gives up.

Of course, our favorite former Alaska Gov does the same thing, except she's learned not to submit to anything that might resemble cross-examination.

If I'm a prosecutor, I subpeona this guy for a grand jury and see him try his tap dance there. I subpeona his records and investigate the sources of his funds. It sure looks like he paid these guys to do this kind of stuff, if not specifically then in general. David Schuster was right to ask him that first, at which point he ducks he question and simply goes on the attack. That's what someone with a guilty conscience does. If he wasn't worried, he'd say how much he paid the guys. I'm guessing it was a lot, more than what their direct services were worth.

  29. Well lookey here: Jim Letten, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana, has recused himself from the case against four conservative activists who were arrested for allegedly interfering with phones in Sen. Mary Landrieu’s office.
