I have mentioned before that there are more and more people who have expressed a desire to tell me stories. No not fairy tales, or campfire stories, but rather behind the scenes stories from Sarah Palin's brief yet intriguing time as our governor.
Sometimes these stories are disquieting, sometimes they are humorous, and sometimes they are downright shocking. They come from people who once worked for her, lived in Wasilla with her, or had some other contact with her either before, after, or during her tenure as Alaska's first female governor.
Here let me give an example of some of what I have been privy to recently.
My standard agreement with people who are willing to share information with me, after I have established that the information is reliable, is that I will NEVER out them on this blog or elsewhere. So let me describe these sources only as "very close to the governor's inner circle" and leave it at that.
From these sources I have learned some absolutely crazy details about Palin's term as governor. One of these is closely related to my previous post about Sarah's disdain for her security detail.
Now I need to preface this by stating that one of the things many of Alaska's ex-governor's miss the most when they leave office is the convenience of having somebody available to drive them to their appointments on time, help them to bypass security at the airport, and make sure that everything is ready for their arrival at their destinations.
If you have lived in Alaska. or a place with a similar climate, you know how absolutely bone chillingly cold it is to climb into a car that has sat outside in in below freezing temperatures, and then sit in it for ten to fifteen minutes, shaking like a Parkinson's patient, while the car slowly begins to warm up enough to drive.
Well an Alaskan governor does not have to do that. They can have a scheduled pick up time, where a toasty warm car arrives at their front door with a hot beverage of their choice inside waiting for them, and all they have to do is sit back and enjoy the ride to their office. Who in their right mind would turn down a perk like that?
Do you want to guess or should I just tell you?
Did you guess Sarah Palin? Well considering whose blog you are on I certainly hope so!
When Sarah Palin was sworn in as our governor she had six state troopers assigned to her security detail.
Two of them were also pilots whose job it was to fly the jet that Governor Frank Murkowski had purchased. Well Palin got rid of that, so those two members of her security staff were reassigned. And that left four.
Apparently one of these troopers was taken off of the detail because, and this is a quote, "the Palin children did not like him." From what I understand he was a very professional man who did not engage in small talk, something that the troopers are instructed NOT to do, and that made the kids uncomfortable. So he was dismissed, and no replacement was requested, so now we have three.
Another trooper was assigned to Juneau for the brief time Palin lived in the the Governor's mansion. When the governor relocated to Anchorage, his services were no longer required, and now we are left with two.
Now as I explained in an earlier post Sarah did not want a security detail to drive, or follow her around Wasilla. But what I did not realize at that time is that she refused to allow anybody to drive her around Anchorage as well!
Now this may seem like a small thing, except that Sarah really was a small town girl and she was not that familiar with the "big city" of Anchorage. Oh sure she knew where J.C Penney's and Costco were but the rest of the city? Not so much.
Apparently on more than one occasion her poor neglected security staff would arrive at a venue ahead of the governor, pick out a parking place for her, and wait patiently for her arrival. Only to see her sail right on past blissfully unaware that she had just missed her destination. You would think just the embarrassment of always showing up late, or having everybody know you were lost, would shame you into allowing your staff to drive you around. But not our Sarah.
So I know the question that you must want to ask at this point, "why in the hell would she NOT allow these trained professionals do their job?" Don't worry, even though you were not there to ask for yourself, I did it for you. And here is the response, also a direct quote.
"I don't think she wanted anybody to know what she was doing." Which kind of makes me wonder, "What the hell was she doing?"
Well I don't know. As a matter of fact, there were LOTS of people who did not know.
Another little tidbit I picked up was that her schedule was always empty. You see the governor has their schedule posted so that their staff can have access to see when they are free. Apparently Sarah was ALWAYS free. Well at least according to her schedule.
So kind of tongue in cheek I asked, "Well surely she at least had lunch scheduled."
"No she didn't. It was completely empty."
I have heard similar complaints from other sources who worked with the Governor. NOBODY seemed to know what she doing, or when she was doing it.
Do you remember when Levi said this in Vanity Fair? "When Sarah would get home from her office--almost never later than five and sometimes as early as noon--she usually walked in the door, said hello, and then disappeared into her bedroom."
Well that selfsame story was told to me by a source who claimed that Sarah "would roll into work around ten o'clock and be out of the office by three p.m. every day." What did she DO while in that office? Good question.
Now to be fair, and it is a struggle at this point to be fair, there is always the possibility that Palin was doing the "people's business" every single day, and that she kept that information carefully guarded from the prying eyes of her....staff. It seems the only person who knew what Palin was doing, and when, was her office manager Kris Perry. And that information, which was always readily available in previous administrations, was only shared with those who could get through to the office manager on the phone to ask. And that was something that was not always easy to do.
I also learned that Palin did not like to be questioned and refused to accept advice from anybody except her closest confidants and her husband. Sarah was defensive, secretive, and often seemed paranoid.
Glenn Beck said this about Palin after she appeared on his show. "Her shields were so high" and went on to add that she did not trust people. I think many of us assume that Palin learned to be defensive and suspicious after entering politics, but I think she has always been very secretive, and has NEVER really trusted those outside her tight little group of friends and family.
So when we wonder HOW Palin could keep a scandalous secret from being discovered, we need to realize that she may have been doing that very thing all of her life.
The question is "What are the secrets she is protecting now?"
Well, I've always heard she was lazy. What chief executive of a state works at the most 5 hrs a day? If you want to actually call it work.
ReplyDeleteLet's just call it "being there."
Granny68
Paranoia is actually sad. She must have thought the troopers would gossip - ditto re everyone in her office except Kris Perry. She must have been betrayed big time (early in life) and this resulted in the shields.
ReplyDeleteWHO betrayed her?
And now there is a cycle - sarah betrays everyone around her - those who have helped her (Bittney) and her own family: Bristol under bus re pregnancy disclosure, Willow not protected from threats of rape, Trig not wearing glasses/hearing aids + no hat, shoes or pants in cold weather, Todd re Brad Hanson.
I believe she is mentally ill and needs help, yet no one seems to have the compassion to get her to a professional.
What a sad way to live. Yes, I feel sorry for her. Please do not confuse that with my firm conviction that this crazy lady does not belong anywhere where she can affect policy (including political office and news shows).
The McCain people, her former colleagues, her family and Murdoch MUST see that she is unstable and dangerous - yet they enable and encourage her, in the name of big bucks.
I think the part where you say.... "If you have lived in Alaska. or a place with a similar climate, you know how absolutely bone chillingly cold it is to climb into a car that has sat outside in in below freezing temperatures, and then sit in it for ten to fifteen minutes, shaking like a Parkinson's patient, while the car slowly begins to warm up enough to drive." .....is interesting in light of Bristol's claim to drive to and from Anchorage 5 days a week. Waking up at 4:00 am for an early start. Has anyone witnessed her long drive? Is that one of the many secrets? Only in fearfilled Wasilla can this never end. She has terrified the whole place!
ReplyDeleteI have heard through my Alaska connections that people who had the misfortune to work for her, near her, in her administration or peripheral to it, all pretty much said the same thing: that her administration was amateurish, secretive, and lazy.
ReplyDeleteShe is actually Canadian?
ReplyDeleteThat's it??
ReplyDeleteIf the rumors about Menard are true, maybe it was a carryover from her prior days, so that no one would know, ahem, who she was 'seeing'. After Menard's untimely death in 2001, all bets are off. However, we do know about Diana Palin's 'habits', the escapades of the older Palin children, and perhaps there are other family stories that also needed to be kept under the rug. Anyone who is on security detail can be very intimidating to someone who has multiple secrets to hide – or to someone whose public persona does not at all match who they are in private. I'm just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteHistory tells us that abusiveness runs in families. So does keeping secrets. Much to hide.
ReplyDeleteParents can teach you to be paranoid also. Tight knit, closed family circle with minimal social interaction outside of the family.
This could be very funny if it were not so sad.
OT, the IN Touch article has other pictures and the party holding Trig seems to be Diana P.
Shea was always posing for pictures. You could put together part of her days just by seeing what photo-op she had.
ReplyDeleteWhat I don't get here Gryphen is why nobody in Wasilla, Juneau, or Anchorage realizes that there is so much money to be made for themselves from the Palins if they come forward. Are they paying everyone up there hush money? A commenter on Bree Palin said she sees Bristol regularly sponging free government healthcare with her baby at the Native Medical Center in Anchorage. Other commentors claim to have seen Track flashing wads of cash at Rumrummers.
ReplyDeleteSarah is no longer governor, and it looks like she has pissed of half the state by now...she has more enemies than friends. For the good of our country and civil political discourse this fraud must be exposed. You're afraid of a paranoid schizophrenic...please, I thought Alaskans were tougher than that.
Alaskans, get your cell phones and flip cams and start snapping pictures. TMZ, and other media outlets will pay big bucks for real pictures and stories. If Sarah lived in the lower 48 she would already be toast...the papz would be relentless.
I read on AKM that Todd is part Alaska Native Indian. Healthcare is free to him...and I am assuming his children who are also part Alaska Native Indian receive free healthcare. Who are we missing here?
ReplyDeleteSarah........ I am wondering if she waived healthcare insurance thru the state when she was Governor? So since she is no longer Governor, does she receive healthcare under Todd's Alaska Native Indian status?
Dare I say socialist. Anyone know for sure?
I think the slur against Canadians
ReplyDeletewas totally uncalled for. We are not lazy, stupid or religious fanatics on the whole.Every country has its problem citizens but a blanket statement comparing us to Sarah Palin is both cruel and unfair.
Her calendar "was completely empty," like her head was and still is .. well, except for some tabloid details.
ReplyDeleteRocky in Texas said...
ReplyDeleteAn open schedule works really well for people that are Bi-Polar, especially when they slip off there meds.
Maybe she was sneaking off to see her shrink...
ReplyDelete...uhmmm, on second thought, probably not...more likely she was dropping out of sight to drop in for a quick visit with someone.
Who? I don't know but, if she honks off Billo or Beck enough (i.e. stabs them in their "professional" backs)--or steps on the pretty toes of the ladies at Faux News, my guess is that any applicable identity and/or identities will suddenly come out of the woodword. You betcha.
It has occurred to me that Todd and/or a family member may not always be in the wings to guard her against others--it may be that sometimes Todd is there making sure that she is keeping both of her feet flat on the floor--if you get my drift.
Sociopaths always have some kind of sexcapades going on. That is the most likely reason she wanted her activities unknown.
ReplyDeleteNew CBS Poll: Majority Of Americans Don't Want Sarah Palin To Run For President
ReplyDeletehttp://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2010/01/18/politics/politicalhotsheet/entry6113291.shtml
Duh...
It seems that with this post, Levi's story and Andrew Halcro's post from about year ago, we can safely say that Palin doesn't know how to work.
ReplyDeleteI do wonder why people haven't talked, but that doesn't exclude them not talking in the future. There's at least a book or two about her that is going to be critical of her and have plenty of Alaskan feedback. Palin's gotta rake in the cash while she still can. Her glory days aren't going to last forever.
One need only look at the emails that have been released to know she was never in the office. My first thought as I read some of the emails was "why aren't they having these discussions face to face? Why on earth are they emailing such piddly sh*t when a decent meeting would have everything done?"
ReplyDeleteDuh! Because Sarah was never around. Because Sarah couldn't make a move without Todd. Sheesh, take your pick. She was in waaaay over her head.
Sarah's biggest fears? Her looks are fading (the old gray mare ain't what she used to be).
ReplyDeleteHer money is not going to last long (a fool and her money are soon parted).
People are laughing at her (because they know she's low IQ and babbles a lot of b*llsh*t to cover it up).
"no one seems to have the compassion to get her to a professional."
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter how compassionate somebody is, you can't get someone to a professional unless they're willing to acknowledge they have a problem and be willing to go. Sarah doesn't think she has a problem. It's the whole rest of the world that's screwed up, not her!
She's been outrunning her fraud ever since ever.
ReplyDeleteI am married to an Alaska Native however I am Caucasian and I am not eligible to receive health care through Indian Health Service so it is doubtful if the former GINO gets health care that way. But the way she is who knows?
ReplyDeleteOur newspaper in Melbourne, Australia had this article mocking Palin today by using all her own words(alad).
ReplyDeletehttp://www.theage.com.au/opinion/politics/sarah...
Bluerinse
Virginia Voter is right! Sarah has flipped Alaska the bird! Alaska was just a stepping stone to where she wanted to go. She never planned to be more than a one term governor - that was apparent when she hired that firm to promote her politically shortly after she took office. And now that she has her gig at FOX, she will visit Alaska less and less often.
ReplyDeleteSo why are Alaskans still protecting her? Do you think she would protect anyone except herself? The only way to stop being afraid of Sarah Palin is to put her in her place by telling the truth about what you know. She has used lies and manipulation to keep everyone under her thumb. Enough is enough. Put an end to it!
todd is only an 1/8 native, which make baby trippers 1/32. i really doubt bristol waiting in lines for under-funded care at the native hospital, if he is even eligible to go there........
ReplyDeleteI have seen copies of her appointment calendar online and I was amazed at how few appointments were scheduled per day. Maybe two appointments....30 minutes for interview and 45 minutes for a committee meeting.
ReplyDeleteHaving held a high level job in a large business....I would have to schedule down time on the appointment calendar to find time to work on projects.
Having security around makes your moves noticed and in many cases recorded. I don't think, Sarah wanted that. She probably got use to a high degree of freedom when she was Mayor and wanted that same freedom as Governor. I have worked with people like Sarah. We had on guy who left the office to make calls on clients except he went home to mow his lawn. Started to notice him when he returned from the "calls" with a different tie.
This is terribly disturbing news. I don't feel I can support her for president at this time.
ReplyDeleteA scam artist is always worried about being found out.
ReplyDeleteSarah knows she is all fluff.
The camera loves her but the microphone hates her.
The only thing she did well was a photo op.
Perhaps the real reason she did not want to be in Juneau is because she'd have to be accountable to people there. In the Anchorage area, she could stay at home "working" out of her blackberry.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, as I've written more than a few times previously, s'error palin had a nice no-show job. Her schedule was open because she simply was not doing her job. I'm not alone in this opinion and she never did a thing to counter the impression that led to that opinion.
If the state trooper security detail had stayed with her for her "entire" (half) term, they probably would have found out she spent half her working hours either in Taco Bell, or at home in her jammies sitting on her ass.
ReplyDeleteIf history can serve as an example, just look at Tiger Woods and how fast (and far) he 'fell from grace'.
ReplyDeleteI think Sarah Palin is no exception and at some point a revelation will come out that will will knock down her house of cards.
I believe She's got some major skeletons in her closet and someone that matters is going to snitch, eventually.
how come nobody calls her on her familys government run healthcare>\? not one person.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure but I think the Canadian comment wasn't meant like that. Just that she made a comment about The Presidents birth certificate when people have speculated she is not an American born citizen. People are generally more conscious that that on this blog.
ReplyDeletetop 10 reasons to be paranoid (lazy & secrative)if you are $carah:
10. Track is a Menard
9. She lied her way into a mayor seat just to hire a city administrator to do the job while claiming to save the city by not accepting the 'raise' offered to former John Stein.
8. Threw John under the bus after helping get you on city council.
7. Threw Murkowski under the bus after he didn't appoint $P to Senate but chose his daughter, Lisa instead.
6. Lied her way to governor but promptly turned into a chronic flip-flopper, liar and non available administration.
5. Fired security detail and ALL staff at Guvs mansion claiming to save us money while charging for her children's travel that she was forced to pay back.
4. Her daughter(s) are behaving not unlike "Girls Gone Wild Videos" Son involved in criminal activity.
3. She gets VP nom but does NOT turn over the reigns to Lt. Gov.
2. She is writing fiction as a memoir on state time...
1. She quits half way through saying for the good of Alaska, while taking every op to pimp her image and family out, knowing full well her lies will be exposed. SO HURRY stuff as much money in the coffers NOW, before the world knows the truth. THAT is why she has never been a "spokesperson" for DS. She FAKED the DS pregnancy: On state time. And she WILL be exposed.
Tick-tock Tick-tock Tick-tock...
Kinda explains her rabid reactions to a perceived betrayal.
ReplyDeleteOne has to wonder how she would feel if Todd violated her trust and betrayed some sort of secret.
Isn't paranoia part of narcissism disorder?
The comment about Sarah being from Canada, wasn't meant to be offensive.
ReplyDeleteI think that the writer was infering that Sarah isn't a US citizen.
Sharon TN
Wow!! Just Wow!! 'Member? They used to have a dog. Maybe she was takin the dog for a walk. This is pretty random all right. Next... something more uber, or supernal or something. Or rupertaroni
ReplyDeleteHer lack of security detail and distrust for anyone outside her inner circle fits with a narcissistic personality disorder. They typically have many sexual encounters so this would explain why she didn't want security detail. Narcissists don't trust others, etc.
ReplyDeleteIf she is truly this paranoid, why in the world would she seek the spotlight unless she has a personality disorder.
Anon @ 4:22 - the comment was not a slur against Canadians, but a joking reference to the internet rumor that Palin was not born in Idaho, but across the border in Canada. I think the rumor was started as a joke because of all the Obama birther nonsense.
ReplyDeleteRemote car starters - god's gift to cold states - relatively cheap too.
ReplyDeleteOne of the secrets of success: good spelling. Gryphen wins the Spelling Bee. Hardly a misplaced or misspelt word for that matter. Keep the info coming in.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone remember the story of when she went into the House Speaker's office to yell at a staffer that had a copy of her (The Governor's) public calendar?
ReplyDeleteclassic paranoia...
There are many downright mean, nasty, vindictive, selfish, money-grubbing (go on and on) people out there, who exhibit the same traits as Sarah Palin.
ReplyDeleteBecause they are not nice people doesn't automatically mean they need medical and/or psychological help. Who knows (or really cares) what the reasoning is behind certain rotten behavior, whether it is inherited or developed because of certain events in their lives.
The bottom line where Palin is concerned - she's what she is and will probably always be an unpleasant person - so don't expect intervention from the people around her - it unlikely will never happen.
I find her change of pace with security to be interesting. Wherever she goes now, she has security. The article about her appearance at the Daytona 500 mentions that their security people will be working with hers.
She didn't want anyone around her before, and suddenly she's surrounded by them. Does she fear for her life for some reason, does she secretly not want one-on-one contact with her fans, or is it all symbolic of her importance in her mind?
As for people not speaking up about what they know. There has to be a certain fear of retaliation if it was discovered who provided the low-down. Wasilla is small-town and it is pretty easy to identify someone if distinctive facts are given. Not everyone is interested in the money or notoriety that would follow should they sell their secrets. Others may simply want to mind their own business and not get involved. Personally, I think fear is the biggest factor of those who maintain silence.
Most people that don't trust others are untrustworthy themselves, ie Sarah. And, it does look as if she did not want to be accountable for her time by releasing her security.
ReplyDeleteI have never ever heard Sarah apologize for anything, or even say she made a mistake. At least Reid didn't deny making the comments he was quoted as saying, apologized for it, and said that's the end of it.
That guy Halcrow was saying all this stuff a long time ago and nobody listened. They thought he was just mad cuz he didn't win. Meanwhile, she was taking phone calls from Cheney! The Gov of Alaska ought to be damned careful who he takes suggestions from. We have a lot of oil up here and we need to remember the people own it.
ReplyDeleteShe could not hire a manager for the state, like she did for the City of Wassilla. She was in over her head. Most likely, she shut the door and watched TV until it was time to go home.
ReplyDeleteTrack's Girl Friend was her executive secretary. Circle closed.
Oh yeah! And remember we all want to read the emails. They should be published in a little book. Those members of the public might be surprised at how that conservative mind-set worked things.
ReplyDelete"What the hell was she doing?"
ReplyDeleteSmoking that dope!
The paranoia produced by methamphetamine abuse results in sucpiciousness, hyperactive behavior, and dramatic mood swings.
Already limited, the drugs make her (even more) *wackier*-erratic, eccentric, or irrational..
Already a very sad and troubled woman, Sarah Palin has got some very, very, dark days ahead. Indeed..
Wasilla is the capital of what again? And didn't Sarah just get a brand new set of teeth?
ReplyDeleteThere just has to be someone there willing to give her up. If six figures are available for a staged family visit, the going rate for the truth must be very, very valuable.
That family has a history of alcohol and drug abuse. Why would $arah be immune?
ReplyDeleteThis may seem to be O/T about SP's work habits but it's definitely about Palin. I'm watching KO and Rachel showing the clips of Scott Brown repeatedly denying his statement suggesting Pres. Obama was born to an un-wed mother. Brown glibly denies saying it - doesn't matter that the video is available to the world. Palin got away with it without penalty. She's still rolling, why shouldn't he do the same?
ReplyDeleteI've never seen politicians lie like they now do even when there's proof to the contrary. Scott Brown is another Sarah Palin. She got away with blatant lies, why won't it work for him? There's only one hope and that is that Palin is thoroughly embarrassed and humiliated by her deceit and dishonesty.
Pretty Boy Brown may be a Massachusetts Senator after tomorrow but he'll get to vote on issues that will effect all of us. We're going to be inundated with politicians like Palin & Brown. Incompetent and stupid as she is, she left a huge footprint. Hurry up you folks who know the truth about her.
And this was the woman who as VP would Secret Service around constantly !! And they would't take "no" for an answer....
ReplyDeleteToward the tail end of the tailspin which was her administration I personally felt that Alaskans were in danger from their own hostile state government. It was like you felt a loyalty litmus test was required. Perhaps she thought by doing less she was being supportive of her mantra that there should be very little government. No doubt, Mr. Parnell was supportive of her values through the tailspin. We should not elect someone new and for good measure remove her last appointees and not approve the AG for symbolic censure of her flagrant disregard for expected governance out of respect for the office she abandoned and the people of the state of Alaska.
ReplyDeleteVirginia Voter is right, had she governed in the lower 48, she'd have been exposed by now. She must have gotten her hands on a lot of people's private information (tax records, certificates, building permits etc...) and didn't want anyone to find out, but now that she's such a "commodity" for the tabloids, I'm surprised no one's come forward and exposed her yet.
ReplyDeleteNot only did she not want the troopers to know what she was doing... she also didn't want them to see her fake relationships with her children/family AND she didn't want them overhearing her telephone conversations.
ReplyDeleteGryphen, you should do a record request for Palin's calendar/schedule when she was gov.
I've seen some. They're empty.
Anon @ 4:22
ReplyDeleteCanadians are awesome!
Pretty easy to figure why she didn't want a security detail or trust them besides the fact she couldn't just do what she wanted without prying eyes.
ReplyDeleteTwo names..... Mike Wooten and Walt Monegan. She tried to screw Wooten over, and did screw Monegan. So how could she trust any State Trooper? She had to figure they'd all be gathering evidence for payback. BECAUSE, that's what she would have done in their position. It's the shits to be paranoid isn't it Sarah?
Rick
Nothing on her calendar? Not good at meetings? I recall that after Sarah lost the election, she was flooded with offers to appear at various Republican organizations which had fallen in love with her. She may have lost the election, but she was still hot! She kept blowing off appointments, Meg had to announce that they never had signed on officially, even good friend Fred Malek offered to come up and help Sarah get organized. He suggested that she get some staff that could handle scheduling.
ReplyDeleteSarah didn't have the attention span to organize her speaking engagements, study issues, or stay at her job as governor. And, she must have been very defensive about the poor job that she was doing, always trying to cover it up.
I'm going to suggest another factor. If I am on the right track, it may account for a reason that people will not talk or be implicated in telling secrets about Sarah.
We have a young relative with a substance abuse problem. He has learning disabilities, short attention span, and is always insecure about bluffing his way through things. He is always covering up, afraid of being found out. He cannot complete his work, no matter how simple the task. He used alcohol and/or drugs to bolster his low self esteem. He could not keep appointments, didn't want people to know what he was up to, every description of Sarah Palin could also be a description of him.
He could also spot someone in the same kind of trouble; takes one to know one. When Grandma's new caregiver failed to show up, or took off early one day, he was the one who knew that the caregiver was out scoring drugs. Takes one to know one. I'm just saying.
So, while Alaskans were assuming there was a governor there; there was not actually a governor necessarily in place there at all times. Alaskans were emailing their requests and hearts desires and "nobody home". How desultory and unexpected; and perturbing and yet beguiling all at once. I hate beguiling and being beguiled by my government. I guess bidness as usual. I don't think so.
ReplyDeleteOff-calendar visits don't have to be with men, either. Her very best, life-long female friend, with whom she went to at least two colleges (and who probably was her roommate) is a lesbian. This is not an insinuation, either. There may be perfectly acceptable explanations for her absences IF you count being AWOL on the job as being acceptable, regardless of the reason for the frolic and detour. AWOL on the tax-payers' dime approved by the tea baggers? Not so much. I still think someone needs to be present AT THE TEA PARTY CONVENTION, dressed up just like one of them, passing out free, detailed flyers with lots of back-up info about her at the door to all who enter. Imagine the on-scene reaction.
ReplyDeleteSomebody PLEASE drop the fuckin' bomb.
ReplyDeleteSecrecy and paranoia go along with sexual abuse. It's a really really common theme. I have no doubt that she is one of the most dysfunctional, disturbed people I have witnessed. Her appearances lately were so frantic and manic. I wouldn't be surprised if she's an abuse survivor. Do I feel sorry for her? No. Because she appears to take out her psychopathology on everyone around her. She makes her children lie and keep secrets. This is sick. She is a pathological liar with zero ability to self- analyze or take resonsibility for her mistakes. I am a clinical psychologist and Sarah is a very sick person with a combination of borderline/ narcissistic disorder with psychotic features. Many personality disorders overlap and she could be bipolar too, I don't know. But I've watched het enough to believe she is a sociopath who only cares about herself. She clearly puts her needs above her children, her husband, her state, and the people of this country.
ReplyDeleteRe Canada: As long I have have been reading this blog and IM and Bree, I can't remember a single slur against Canada (I don't read some of the troll posts).
ReplyDeleteI think the "SP was born over the border," was a joke; that's how I took it, too.
My impression is that Canada has a really good reputation here in the U S of A. A sterling reputation, in fact. A country of educated, polite people that we could learn much from -- if ever we switched to a learning mode.

ReplyDeleteI'm with you. sarah is a tweaker.
Shit , it's walking distance to Shooters Billiards. The owner , Ricky Reese just got popped for 23 lbs. of meth.
re: the driving
ReplyDeleteI read a report by someone lucky enough to get to ride with Miss Sarah in August 2008 just before the RNC event. It sounded like she pretty much drove with her elbows while -- wait for it -- fiddling with her Blackberry (he did use the singular). I remember him saying that somewhere during his 'wild ride' Sarah used the Blackberry (while driving) to arrange a playdate for Piper. Among other things. He was also at their home, which sounded chaotic with keys locked in the car by accident (resulting in a rescue by a state trooper, not a locksmith) and multiple trips to retrieve things forgotten the first time they sallied forth. Wish I could remember where I saw the article, my mom read it as well and was pretty horrified by the description of 'driving while Blackberrying'.
The latest public poll on whether Sarah should run foe president:

"Let's just call it "being there."
ReplyDeleteGranny68
Or not...
I see traces of exhibitionism in that woman as well. This exhibitionism is difficult for children I think. A strange prism indeed. Who made the decision to hire her at FX really. How much are they paying...her...really. It may not be much at all. Oh, well. I would have been called on the carpet for leaving the state premises as she did and when I was a state employee years ago the supervisors always did a delegation so state business could lawfully be conducted. The power was real and respectfully delegated. The personnel board who I think should be removed did not enforce that state regulation as far as I can see so state business could lawfully be conducted. What happens if someone just won't comply with his/her oaths of office. Nothing I guess. Great.
ReplyDeleteI was curious when she was in Hawaii why there was no security, when just days earlier there was the extraordinary show of force at the book signing at the military base. Also had security at the Wasilla Sports Complex. I think you might remember that Gryph? :)
ReplyDeleteI see that she has inconsistent use of security, available when someone else is paying for it I suspect. Harper Collins picked up the book tour security tab. Not so much in Hawaii. If SP would not pay a hairdresser in SLC or a barista in Wasilla, or a bellboy in FL, she sure as hell is not going to pay for security.
Doubt she has security in NYC, by the way, anybody have guts of steel enough to look in at Fox to see if our Sarah showed up. Otherwise, why the hell did she spend the weekend in NYC while her teen daughter was out late into the night with a group of male friends and only one other girl?
This post just validates how I feel, in my bones, that this woman is. It makes sense, and not just because I *want* it too. It just makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI am anxious for the Trig situation to be ressolved.
Anon @ 6:50
ReplyDeleteFrom you POV as a clinical psychologist - at what point will Palin crash? What will she do when and if there is a "bomb" dropped about some deep, dark secret?
Will she ever accept any responsibility for her actions? Even to herself or her family? Or will she disappear?
Norah O'Donnel made a similar comment about Palin "friends" and how insulated and inept the whole gang is. It is known she is paranoid and can't trust anyone. Murdoch was not US born but he can sure tweak with Americans. Nothing with Palin will change as long as people will protect her. Whether she pays them off with money, quid pro quo or they fear arson, a deadly accident or their secrets exposed it has the same result. The tiny state of Alaska needs to get crackin'.
ReplyDeleteI am in agreement with Virginia Voter, why is no one getting any documentation, like cell images? We know Alaskans get zillions of drunk and stoned teen images. Even low quality images work when a person tells a narrative. The current thing for the Mat-Su crowd is to go to Anchorage. They go to parties and places like Rumrunners. It is what's happening. That and snow boards and machines. Partying, sex and having babies. One or two do actually go to other than "online"school. I don't know of too many teens that let underage get in the way of a good time.
The Bristol and Tripp going to free government healthcare sounds dubious. If true, it would be important for the custody case to have the facts. Politically the public deserves to know. If true, an image can't be that difficult.
The problem with all the anonymous is that it is like crying wolf and will make Sarah look sympathetic. If people are lying and making things up to make her look bad, it undermines the honest reports. Her own fanbots would do that to weaken others.
For Pete's sake, practice using your your cell phone cameras. Teach your children well to get documentation and note who people are with and other notables. It could pay off and even help pay for school or a vacation.
The Palin family secrets are deadly. Their poison will keep spreading, don't let it go on and on. We need some true Wasilla heroes to go into action. It can be done anonymous with a quality media person or journalist.
Have any one of you self-annointed, self righteous egotistical manics considered for once, just one eeeny teeny moment, that perhaps the reason no one has "stepped forward" is that there is nothing to step forward about? well over a year now and NOTHING...all you do is perform verbal masturbation on/for each other. move along minions, nothing to see here. Never was, never will be.
ReplyDeleteWe have several good choices to account for Sarah's secretive behavior. Paranoid, defensive, afraid of being found out- for sure!
ReplyDeleteSome people are suggesting time out for a quickie. The problem with something on the side is that we have seen examples of people who are able to maintain their career and see extra people (Bill Clinton, Tiger Woods, David Lettrman). The only guy who went missing was Gov.Sanford, but he had been governing for six months without his affair affecting his work.
People who had unreliable work habits and abused drugs are a better example. I am thinking of someone like Robert Downey Jr., who, when he was abusing drugs, just didn't show up, or showed up late. Ditto Michelle Phillips, Marilyn Monroe, for example. In Massachusetts, a noted orthopedic surgeon walked out in the middle of an operation because he needed cash to pay a drug dealer.
Of the two choices, I think that needing to score something to feel good leads to more unstable behavior than looking for a love in all the wrong places. The lover can always talk, could even have compromising pictures. The dealer can't talk.
Remember folks, one brushstroke at a time. See how much you are learning! It might make someone who really knows something feel safer devulging what they know to Gryph because, as a whole, this is a pretty smart group. So many so close to the truth and the whole picture is blending together quite nicely now...think where we all were a year ago! Patience...she's a very sick person and there are two very small children under her roof and a husband who pulled a gun on Levi. Give him time to pull the picture together so it will be a masterpiece when finished!
ReplyDeleteHere is another reason to get rid of the security.
ReplyDeleteWhat if hubby Todd wasn't the only person telling the governor what to do?
Any competent law officer might have discovered this.
The way she ran things with no calendar, email outside the state system, no security and all the rest told about this.
The only evidence of what was happening would be he said she said, and from someone she handpicked.

Nonsense! Gryphen has Palin by the coattails, and she is going down big time!
To follow up on the Dec 28 post linked in this piece - whatever happened to the question about confirming the timeline with the head of her security detail?
ReplyDeleteYou'd think one of Sarah's bots would be able to spell "anointed."

Yes there has been plenty that's already come out. There's the fact that Palin is the strangest, (IMO sickest) individual who has ever run for any national office. I for one will never forget that nor will I let friends & family forget it. Anyone she endorses, anyone who takes up for her immediately tars themselves with the same brush. She may think she got off w/o paying a penalty but that's a delusion. And I'm a voter as are the people that I come into contact with. You can't fool all of the people even some of the time.
A good deal of my internet time is spent reading all of the posts and the comments sections of Bree Palin, Palingates and Immoral Minority.
ReplyDeleteThe vast majority of comments contain more wit, originality, attention to detail and TRUTH than anything Mrs. Palin has ever thought up on her own!
IMO folks aren't stepping forward because of fear.
ReplyDeleteLook what happened to Curtis Menard Jr. right after he had the audacity to scold GG about neglecting the/his children. Water in the gas of a person known for his attention to detail, especially aircraft safety?
I bet there are major stories about Toad and his AIP buddies that need to be aired and would surely explain the reluctance of the folks in the know to spill anything.
It's easy to surmise what Sarah was NOT doing while governor.
ReplyDeleteLike, educating herself on current events, natinal and international issues. Figuring out what a vice-president does. Reading...any of them...all of them. Memorizing the founding fathers. Working on those parenting skills. Taking a course in public speaking.
The list is actually endless...
Thank you to the Anons, vonrupert @ 6:20pm, and Amy1 @ 7:08pm--your kind words about Canada are awesome.
ReplyDeleteI agree...I have never come across any negative remarks made against Canada. As a regular Canadian fan of IM, it is heartwarming to here the supportive comments from this friendly and welcoming blog community - a key reason why I visit daily.
"at what point will Palin crash? What will she do when and if there is a "bomb" dropped about some deep, dark secret?

Well, first of all, narcissists never accept responsibility for anything unless it makes them look good. Problems are *always* someone else's fault, even their own kids'...they will protect themselves first at all costs. Everyone around them is eligible to be thrown under the bus: parents, grandparents, spouses, children, total strangers, and even good friends. This is one of the reasons narcissists tend to have few TRUE friends. They have the appearance of being popular, but seldom confide in anyone and are often paranoid.
Persons with NPD can crash at any point (helped along by their bizarre, convoluted lying), but are *very* likely to do so as they reach middle age and their bodies start to change. Minor changes that most people expect as they get older are devastating to a narcissist, because they no longer match their ideal self (young, fit, attractive, healthy, superior to those around them). Something as minor as a few wrinkles or middle-aged aches and pains can send someone with NPD into a rage.
They may try to keep up with their earlier image (exercising for hours every day, plastic surgery, new car, lucrative career, affair with someone 20 years younger, etc). Of course there is no way to actually turn back the clock, so as NPDers age their frustration increases, and NPD behaviors typically get more extreme.
I'm with FlynnD--I spend lots of time where FlynnD does, and $P never has said ONE THING that compares favorably with the "wit, originality, attention to detail, and TRUTH" contained in one blogpost comment in one day!
ReplyDeleteA shout-out to:
Anonymous 5:02 PM:
"This is terribly disturbing news. I don't feel I can support her for president at this time."
This made me HOWL with laughter!!!
And I have to second (third, ninth, eleventh...) VirginiaVoter's remarks: Now that $P is spending so little time in Alaska, wielding so little actual power, it's time for people to get out the flipcams, engage the papz, and get the hard evidence: Those who fear ending up dead (Curtis Menard Jr., Dar Miller, R.N.), or fired/harassed (Walt Monegan, Mike Wooten)... well, I don't think $P now can noodge her tools to attempt acts that would fire someone or comprise first-degree murder if completed.
It well may be possible to determine, without violating HIPAA, just who provides health care to the Palins. If $P continues to toss around the phrase "socialism" like a beach ball (which she will), if public monies fund the family's medical care, it indeed is our right to know.
Anon at 542pm: "I find her change of pace with security to be interesting. Wherever she goes now, she has security....She didn't want anyone around her before, and suddenly she's surrounded by them. Does she fear for her life for some reason, does she secretly not want one-on-one contact with her fans, or is it all symbolic of her importance in her mind?"
ReplyDeleteNone of the above! She's actually terrified that someone will walk right up to her and ask really tricky, 'gotcha' questions such as "What do you read?" or "Where are Trig's glasses?"
Palinbot said: "all you do is perform verbal masturbation on/for each other."
ReplyDeleteActually, no--that's what Glenn Beck did at the beginning of his SP interview...when he read his diary to American History-Challenged Snowflake.
"I wrote this about you last night, Sarah...with my other hand in my pants....I sure hope Sarah likes me....Maybe she'll call me Ronnie in bed. will she pretend to be pregnant with my child? Will we share a lunch a Taco Bell?"

Oh yeah! And remember we all want to read the emails. They should be published in a little book. Those members of the public might be surprised at how that conservative mind-set worked things.
ReplyDelete5:51 PM
-----------------------------------
Yeah, where are those emails, anyway? A lot of reader's of Celtic Diva's blog paid for those, but she seems to be as tightfisted releasing them as the State was when they released them to her. Seems to think she's the only one able to ''review'' them and we should all just wait. Except, I suspect, she's in over her head by the sheer volume. Release them already so others can help.

Someone on here has cast accusations of Palin's friend being a lesbian. I call Bull Shit...
What friend and why wasn't this ever reported? Cough up some proof troll.
mxm said: "I was curious when she was in Hawaii why there was no security, when just days earlier there was the extraordinary show of force at the book signing at the military base. "
ReplyDeleteBecause in hawaii whenever brown people came close to her, she ran off screaming anyway.
I have been wondering about the e-mails from Celtic Diva too. Even an update? I have checked but haven't seen any, or have I missed it?
ReplyDeleteShe does not need security in NYC because people like me are not violent and she has few rabid fans here!!
ReplyDeleteNothing this woman does is "common sense". I see major red flags. She's hiding her utter lack of knowledge and family secrets. If this was someone I knew I'd be worried for them.
ReplyDelete"Her didn't want anyone around her before, and suddenly she's surrounded by them. Does she fear for her life for some reason, does she secretly not want one-on-one contact with her fans, or is it all symbolic of her importance in her mind?"
ReplyDeleteI think part of it is projection. You know how the rethugs project what they say, think, do and are guilty of always project it onto other people? Her commenter's over on the sea of pee are always posting crazy, violent shit about Obama and real or perceived enemies. And being secretive, with known skeletons in her closet that she knows can do real damage, she doesn't want anyone to get too close.
It's all her own fault. If Palin hadn't riled up the crowds at her rallies and posted hateful comments on her FB page, she'd have a lot less to worry about.
And the poster who said she didn't want anyone to get too close to ask her a question, that was brilliant! LOL!
One more thing. Do anyone of you remember when Jon Stewart sent someone to Wasilla to interview the Mayor?
ReplyDeleteTurns out, the Mayor only works two days a week. And really all the job entails is signing people's paychecks.
You might be able to find it at the Daily Shows website in the archives.
"She does not need security in NYC because people like me are not violent and she has few rabid fans here!!"
ReplyDeleteSo true. Most people in NYC don't even think about her too much.
I work in state government in SC with some former state law enforcement division guys. They say that Sanford used to always make his detail pull over & get out of the car when he got certain phone calls. Now we all know what THAT was about!
ReplyDeleteMy reading on Personality Disorders indicates that as a Narcissistic Personality starts to "fall apart", they go into more paranoia. My guess is we would see more paranoia and further retreat into her parallel universe. She will never admit to an error of any kind unless it strokes her ego.
ReplyDeleteIndy_girl, TY for comments re what Palin (NPD's) could be expected to do when the inevitable crash hits them.
ReplyDeleteWe will never know what that brittle protege of Cheney et al. was doing. No one knows. I dislike personalities like this which are possessed of fervent desire for unfettered power. I liked it better in Alaska when people who genuinely want to serve and use administrative powers to solve not create problems in their regions. Like Jay Hammand, like Bill Sheffield, like Tony Knowles, like Bill Egan, like Wally Hickel. Will we ever have well-intended governance EVER again? Parnell is just doing her bidding I believe and she is still getting her talking points from Cheney I believe. Isn't that nice for Alaska? Some despot wanna be is pulling the strings of our government. We need to vote out Parnell and every other repub for the time being.
ReplyDeletemary b:
ReplyDeleteDon't forget that the mayor of Wasilla who was interviewed on the Daily Show was Dianne Keller, SP's cousin.
Must run in the family!
What if the rumors of divorce were true....Todd would make sooooo much more money with his book.
ReplyDeleteJust curious, why is it we never see friends with Sarah? It is always a family member....and is piper in school?
why on earth would a rational chief excutive of Alaska dismiss their security detail? Oh, nevermind! Paranoia will detroya :-)
Anon@7:49 AM--When I was reading this post about Palin and her security detail, it reminded me of Sanford who also had a habit of wanting to "drive himself" places. Ditching one's security detail can lead to serious problems. Sanford was hiking the Appalachian trail in South America! Because of Sanford's behavior, the S.C. legislature is thinking about changing the rules on security details for its' governor and other state officials. Had Alaska been in the lower 48, Palin would have had a more difficult time ditching her security detail and may have ended up being exposed as Sanford was. The look on his face last week when the S.C. House voted to censure him for bringing shame to the state was priceless. I'm waiting to see the same look on Palin's face after she's been exposed for what she really is, a lazy intellectually incurious money-grubbing scandal-ridden shyster.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this post, Gryphen. This puzzle piece fits in with many other reports of her secretive behavior.
ReplyDeleteSadly, I believe that her behavior was probably triggered by abuse, and that she may use drugs to help ignore reality.
If the drug use in Wasilla is wide-spread, no one may want to come forward for fear that SP will spill the beans on everyone she used with or bought from. With her vengeful attitude, she will have loyalty to no one, or care how much sorrow and distress she can cause.
That said, I sincerely hope she filled her hours with shopping in Anchorage stores. She is on record as saying how much she "hates shopping" so the opposite is probably true.
Are there any salespersons out there, reading this blog, that can contact Gryphen and confirm that SP was spending her afternoons shopping in their stores?
kinda off track but some comments fit with her paying styles,,, i cant name names but i do know scarah doesnt pay for nor return her rented videos in wasilla,,, she would rather keep em and let others suffer not seeing them than remember to drop em off,,, her explination? ill just buy em,
ReplyDeletelate to this discussion, but this speculation that sarah is on meth is a red herring.
ReplyDeleteThere *is* a member of the extended Palin family that definitely exhibits extreme physical evidence of meth use (in a relatively sort time).
sarah shows no evidence of meth use. Amphetamines, yes; meth, no.
she ain't runnin' no where. Not enuff money, and too much work.
ReplyDeletePOTUS is a pay cut, and she'd have to WORK....
Nah, she is a fringe/freak playa, not electable, but a useful idiot.
