New e-mail revelations about the Wild Ride!

Well now isn't THIS interesting?

Subject: Other

Web mail from: Mr. John Carlile

Dear Governor Palin,

Yesterday evening as I was flying back to Juneau from a business trip in Seattle, I had the pleasure of chatting with you and your husband Todd in the Alaska Airlines boardroom. It seemed as though you were engrossed in a book so I spoke mostly with Todd and tried not to intrude on your opportunity to relax. Little did I know that your were in labor at the time. I'm impressed that you were gracious enough to speak with me even though you both obviously had much more important things on your mind. In retrospect, it would have been totally understandable if you had just asked to be left alone.

My prayers will be with you, your new son and your family.
Sincerely, John Carlile

So Sarah, seven months pregnant and leaking amniotic fluid, sits quietly in a lounge reading a book while calmly awaiting her flight. Oookay.

Gee I wonder if Mr. Carlile would agree that "the stage of her pregnancy was not obvious"?

Keep digging folks I think there is still much to learn from these e-mails.

Sarah missed a great PR opportunity!
Katie Couric: What newspapers and magazines do you read to inform your world opinions?
Sarah Palin: Well, when I was in labor, leaking amniotic fluid, I was flying back to Alaska hoping and praying to get home in time to deliver my baby in a small local clinic. My greatest comfort came from the Bible I was reading at the airport during a layover. I especially remember the kind stranger who would not intrude on my private moment in prayer.

What time did Mrs. Palin say she started to have contractions on the 17th? Check this e-mail from one of her closest, Janice. NOthing about the contractions, but wants to know if they want a puppy.

The Mike Bradner mentioned here is a Dr. Mike Bradner. Not sure of his affiliation, as it's redacted.

And then Todd says is it's time for him to get his own Blackberry, on the State dime?

Bonus, Todd's work history and education history from his own mouth.

  10. Mike Bradner appears to be a democrat, former Speaker of the House of the Alaska legislature, and now editor of Alaska Legislative Digest

Odd that he'd be offering a puppy. Could that mean something else?

I call BULLSH*T. For those of us who have been in labor - she was not in labor quietly reading a book.

  12. Sorry, I got the 2 people confused. The other guy wanted to give he a puppy, but Mike Bradner, (redacted), but apparently a political foe, wants to "catch up" with her as he knows her really well. Hmmm, wonder what he intended to catch up with her on.

She sure was reading a book! It was: What to Expect When You're Not Expecting but Everyone Expects you to be Expecting

She had just finished chapter 7:
"When Scarves Won't Work Anymore: The Empathy Belly and Photographic Evidence"

    Other chapter titles anyone?

  22. This was from a comment on either Bree Palin or Palingates around 11/17 when her book came out:

    "Joe Christmas...
Just insult us again you lying fraud. I know it is unlikely it will be babygate that brings this psychopath down, like taxes brought down Capone, but this is a load of crap.

As an ER doctor, an I can say that after 25 years, I know something about the human condition. When a woman is in labor, i.e. contractions, that is true visceral pain. I can recognize it from across the street. Anyone who has had a gallbladder attack, a kidney stone, a bowel obstruction, or any woman in labor will understand, there are no speeches, getting on planes, or holding hands tenderly. If there's praying to be done, it's to the Patron Saint of Anesthesia.

Of course, the idiocy of claiming you can pass thru labor calmly without anyone noticing is just one of several reprehensible points about the 'Wild Ride'.
-- What kind of stupid person doesn't go directly to a hospital with the onset of labor? "Any idiot would know that."
That kind of decision-making wouldn't be appropriate for a 3rd grader, much less any kind of public official.
-- The risks you incur on your child, yourself, the passengers, the crew. No Fucking Way.
-- Audrey's comment that this vainglorious clown would never risk legs akimbo, meconium stained, hoping a flight attendent can repair a rectal tear, delivery mid-flight.

She would be the laughingstock of the world as well as the total humiliation of ruffling her bumpit.

    Liar, liar, liar.
    Quitter, quitter, quitter."

I had to go to Alaska airline to see how long the flight was from Seattle to Anchorage. It takes 2 and 1/2 hours approxiately. Sarah said that she arrived by plane at 10:30 pm in Anchorage and drove to the hospital in Wassilla? and that she gave birth that next morning. If nothing else the baby should have gone into her birth canal by the time she was in Seattle and she would not be able to walk normal as the head would be in a position to be born (even a small baby would be like walking with a large grapefruit between your legs. Most of the time the baby becomes more prominent because of this position even in cases where the mother does not present the look of a pregnant person earlier. The person seeing her reading the book would notice something unusual about the way she was sitting, walking and looking less than 12 hours before giving birth.

  30. It was mentioned on another blog that during Troopergate when Todd and others refused to comply with their subpoenas, Todd was said to be legally exempt because he was a private citizen and not state staff.

Now Van Flein says in response to the emails showing Todd as shadow governor that Todd is actually a state advisor therefore it's no big deal that he's involved in all of the former Governor's official state business.

So which is it, Van Flein? Is Todd a private citizen? Or is he an official state advisor? Because it can't be both, and either one means the other one ain't true.

This is what stinks about that phony Wild Ride Story: She is governor of Alaska, returning to Alaska, in labor, leaking amniotic fluid, about to have a baby. Where is the email alerting officials in Anchorage to meet Sarah and Todd at the airport with an ambulance???

All right, there is no email alerting officials that Sarah may need medical attention at the airport. There was also no phone call. There was no ambulance, no emergency vehicles to rush Sarah to quick medical care. Todd drove up to Wasilla when troopers could have met them, and cleared a fast track to the hospital. No, there was no labor, no emergency, no baby.

Okay that is complete bullshit. I am a mother of three and I can honestly say that there is no way in hell you would see me(or any normal rational woman)who is eight months pregnant with a downs baby at an airport calmly reading a book while in labor. This is madness.

OT I read a lot of emails from the MSNBC site and saw Toad was extremely upset with Halcro's Blog and the dairygate. They really hated Halcro, one email about him had a lot of redactions(Halcro lies again)(Ivy was upset about being called a babysitter). My favorite email so far was with a subject "Shame!"

Maybe somebody should check to see when John Carlile got the job with the Dept. of Fish & Game?? Shortly after he and his wife didn't notice that Sarah was in labor?

About the Wild Ride: She woke up at about 1:30 a.m. in TX - would have to guess was awake most of the night. Made her speech then two long airplane rides to get back to Anchorage by 10:30 p.m. AK time. Any woman who's given birth KNOWS that there is so much discomfort when she's in labor, there's no way in hell that she could even sit still much less sit calmly reading. I'm not going to use the "R" word about her so I need another word to describe how ______ she must be to think that anybody would believe that crock of BS.

  36. Anonymous3:32 PM

I went into labor at 23 weeks, there was no saving the baby. The baby was less than 2 pounds and still the labor was intense.

They gave me pain meds that are traditionally avoided that would affect a normal, healthy baby - but even with those powerful drugs, the pain was something that could not be masked.

Reading a book quietly in an Alaska Airlines Boardroom? Bullshit. She wasn't pregnant.

Yes, and emails from that day show NO recognition even of the fact that SP was very pregnant and traveling, never mind IN LABOR since early that morning. I firmly believe that no one knew that she was "in labor" on 4/17 until they announced Trig's "birth" on 4/18. Nobody but the two con artists behind the story. Hi, Sarah and Todd!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Anonymous4:09 PM

Also too, on having a morbidly premature
baby - when there was still hope that we could save her, I was ready to lay at an incline head down at the hospital for as long as 10 weeks, my husband and I were ready to do anything to save our first child, but the body wanted what it wanted and when a uterus decides to contract and expell, no amount of will power or medical technology can overcome.

Waking up after midnight with a curious pain carrying a preterm DS baby and doing what she did? Uh uh, didn't happen, don't care if she's got a uterus and cervix of steel, DID NOT HAPPEN.

And going back to work three days later? Nursing?
Agreeing to shoot for the second most powerful job in the
world postpardum with the demands of a special needs infant? Bullshit. Even with the tiniest possibility that this woman had Trig, what sane person would do this? Any of it, all of it?

The Heath's and Palin's really go overboard on what they
think they are about. I'm done with them selling crazy.

It should be noted, too, also, that Palin declined to take any security personnel with her on the Texas trip, only Toad. I saw the email about that over at the crivella west site.

And as a woman whose water broke 12 hrs before giving birth, I can say it's no picnic giving dry birth, either. In fact, I went straight to the hospital with a towel between my legs, there was that much fluid, and the towel was soaked by the time I got there.

No, wait, the author said Sarah was ...what....Reading A Book???mmm...now that is interesting . At least there is some validation to her being literate. Of course we all know that the best way to avoid conversation on a plane or in an airport is to pretend to be engrossed in a book.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Anne NC6:54 PM

Gryphen, I can't recall if you have a source regarding her security detail but I found it interesting that she changed her plans on April 14, stating she didn't need security detail and that Todd was going to accompany her to Texas. Did she always decline security if Todd was with her? Did they usually meet them at the airport?

The simple fact that none of the emails mention her being in labor but they took the time to email them about her speech is very telling. The gossipy emails are evident throughtout the entire batch that MSNBC obtained yet in this instance, they declined to tell them she was in labor??? I don't buy it for a second. Something happened that week that made them move the date of birth up to Saturday. Was Trig getting too big, too quickly to pass for a newborn? That's my guess.

What about the flight attendants not noticing a woman who I'm sure was listed as Governor Sarah Palin on the passenger list, who also happened to be 8 months pregnant and if so, would be using the bathroom at least once an hour?? Again, impossible.

Those lies really come back to bite you in the ass, don't they, $arah?

Twelve hours before I delivered my son I was incoherent on a gurney, my hair in braids and I wouldn't have recognized and chatted with anyone or sat at an airport reading a book. I was there at the hospital with a multipara, her nineth delivery, she arrived after I did, and delivered before I did. She was very obviously progressing toward her delivery. Afterwards she was very gracious and charming. But not before. Ms Palin's delivery story doesn't square with anything I know about childbirth.
