Todd Palin was not only the "Shadow Governor" he also occasionally signed his wife's name to his e-mails. Update!

So this poor woman, Georgette Kozloff, is VERY upset that, then governor, Sarah Palin endorsed her high school friend Joe Schmidt as Department of Corrections Chief despite a vote of "no confidence" by the Alaska Corrections Officers Association. And she sends the following e-mail to express her frustration.

Governor Palin,

I have long supported you and have absolutely been in love with how you
conduct yourself and conduct business for our State. I have been behind
your husband in his desire to go back to the Slope, stating it's no
one's business but yours and his. I have applauded you, flying out to
be at your son's graduation (my son serves in the U. S. Navy). I have
laughed and cried, and more recently read and viewed the pictures of
your newborn son, adoring how precious he is and knowing he's being born
into a loving and strong family.

Having said all of that, Governor, this time you have missed the mark by
a mile with your "unconditional support" of Joe Schmidt. All the good
things you've done.. .have been undone in one fell swoop in my eyes.
Everyone knows you went to high school together - so what are you
saying? That all of these people are liars and have some ax to grind?
I do not have family members who work in corrections - this is just
plain old common sense. You seriously need to rethink your stance on
this issue. Corrections is in a world of hurt. This man not only
didn't ask for more money for corrections (that's fine), but he GAVE
some BACK? And now you don't believe the people who have given him a no
confidence vote? Come on!

I didn't even write to you when you cut the DPS budget by 1.2 million
dollars, and I DO have a family member who serves this State as a State
Trooper. That was bad enough.. .but this .... this is just wrong and
believe me, you need to seriously think about rectifying this situation,
despite the fact that this jerk is your long time friend. Do the right
thing. Practice what you preach, Governor.

So here is a Palin fan who is suddenly VERY discouraged to learn that her idol is more interested in giving important government jobs to her trusted friends than in appointing people who are actually equipped to do the job.

For some reason Palin assistant Janice Mason sends the e-mail to Sally Heath (?), cc's Todd Palin, and also claims to have sent it to Randy Ruaro her Deputy Chief of Staff, even though it was obviously written to Sarah Palin concerning her decision to endorse Joe Schmidt.

Couple of interesting things here.

One, it appears as if this email were written by a ret....oops sorry...person of limited mental capacity.

Two, we may want to assume that this e-mail was written by Sarah Palin, but in fact, as the e-mail address fek9wnr(@iyahoo.com tells us, this email did NOT come from Sarah Palin's e-mail account but rather that of her husband, and shadow governor, Todd "Iron Dog winner" Palin.

Three, apparently Todd not only wrote this completely unresponsive e-mail but also signed it using HIS WIFE'S TITLE!

Perhaps we can still argue whether it was okay or not for Todd to be involved in state business. And argue the legality of allowing him to be cc'd on so many important e-mail communications concerning the state of Alaska. But I think almost anybody would draw the line at excusing a governor's spouse from signing e-mails while posing as the Governor of the State of Alaska!

The response from Ms. Kozloff is simply too good to leave out as she is clearly stunned by the fact that Todd/Sarah did not seem to even understand what her e-mail was addressing!

Governor, I will respond to this and then I won't be writing again.
My email to you was entitled CORRECTIONS and had to do with your unconditional support of your friend, Joe Schmidt. Your response addresses the DPA budget.

I won't respond as to the DPS budget numbers or Corrections for that matter. My email was
clearly ALL about your response and how bad it looks. You know that. Your response, or lack
thereof, only showed me that what everyone is now talking about is exactly true. You don't care what the residents of this State think. You don't care what the employees of the State think or feel. It's all about you and your friends. I am so disappointed.

It is kind of interesting to read the actual e-mail exchange that caused somebody, who was clearly a support of Governor Palin, to suddenly learn that the woman is a fraud.

There would be nothing wrong if Palin's staff (And let's remember that Todd was NOT on the Governor's staff!) were to answer an e-mail on her behalf, and sign their own name at the bottom. But it is quite another for Todd to answer that e-mail while posing as an elected official.

How many other times did Todd Palin pose as the governor? Let's remember that Todd Palin was not elected to any office! He should not even have been reading state e-mails much the less answering them while posing as Sarah!

I think we need to dig through these other e-mails, and see just how many times Todd wore the Naughty Monkey pumps and skirts in the family. Just WHO was actually running the state of Alaska?

P.S. For those who are claiming that Sarah herself might just have sent this response using Todd's Blackeberry, I have to say that you do NOT know Sarah Palin very well. She is NEVER without her TWO Blackberries, and it is very unlikely that she has ever needed to use Todd's to answer an e-mail.

Update: It looks as if Todd did indeed commit a class B misdemeanor.

(d) Impersonating a public servant is a class B misdemeanor.
