For those of you who may not be completely familiar with what this lying little shit did, and how Fox News pumped him up and covered for his lies it might be educational to take a look at some of the BradBlog's amazing work on this story
here (In this report O'Keefe's employer, Andrew Breitbart, tries to minimize the importance of the fact that O'Keefe did NOT dress like a pimp during his ACORN investigation is to his allegations against them) and
here (In which ACORN demands a retraction from the New York Times for running with this story before getting all of the facts.)
dude is clever! luv the grilles, lol..
ReplyDeleteHilarious!!

Colbert goes where NO ONE else will go!!! I would pay some serious $$$ to see the look on Sean H's face after watching this...
ReplyDeleteColbert: No one messes with him! I LOVED it!
Brilliant. Thanks for posting this Gryphen.
ReplyDeleteI don't know--after Sarah's look, yesterday, maybe she should see if Roger could hook her up with O'Keefe.
ReplyDeleteOn second thought, disregard...I doubt that Breitbart could offer O'Keefe a high enough budget to afford her for the leading role in his next "film." She is a pretty high-priced...Hollywood wannabe.
If the McCain staff had let her dress herself and her family during the campaign, she would, about now, be lazin' around on the couch surrounded by crunch wrap crumbs.
Piper! Get the vacuum and sweep up this mess I've made! And make it snappy.
Yes, Mommy Dearest.
what happened to bree's blog? another one gone! was she threatened?
ReplyDeleteI was just coming in here to ask the same thing about Bree. Hope she's okay.

ReplyDeleteGryph, where did Bree go? Your blog roll says "Bree says Good-Bye" and the link goes to can't be found.
What happened?

Gryphen, the hilarity of Colbert is immeasurable, but the crux of the story is unbelievable because one would absolutely think the NY Times, of all MSM, would NOT place a correction to this story. I am an avid fan of the NY Times, so I am shocked that they would not comply with Brad's request for that correction. Generally, I feel I can trust their reporting, but I supposed today, one can really only trust the blogs [especially since every issue in blogs are backed by links to prove the fact]. This is terrible for the NY Times especially since the NY Post [Murdock] actually printed a correction or retraction.
ReplyDeleteBut to now realize that the little shit O'Keefe did not actually wear his pimp fashion until he decided to ham it up on Fux Cruz really puts him in a shit place in my mind. All the creep was trying to do was MAKE HIMSELF POPULAR - exactly like his cohort S. Paylin. They ought to be introduced so he take lessons from her grifting. You betcha she would teach him some new tricks about lying since she is such a pro!
Go Colbert.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Hannity's head will explode now.
Failing that maybe he'll at least be embarassed, because that O'Keefe twit just used Hannity big time and Hannity loved every minute of it.
Maybe ACORN can sue Fox when they get done suing O'Keefe and Breitbart.
Gryphen... this was a link posted on Palingates. E-Online is reporting a story on " Swaggate ". And George Clooney is making Jokes about her.
ReplyDeleteShe also had some wine shipped back home. Would this be her " religious wine '... or will this be for Willows next Party..? The quote from E-Online at the end is good.
"All Palin's rep would say is: "We strongly stand by and support the host's [Silver Spoon] request for a retraction and apology from E! and will not comment further until that happens."
Of course! We'll apologize about the same time Palin takes a break from sipping her gratis wine and writing avocado-green thank-you notes to the vendors who gifted her so luxuriously!
This woman doesn't still plan to run for political office again—does she?

Whether or not O'Keefe was dressed like a pimp, the transcripts of the exchanges make it pretty obvious the acorn workers had to understand that was his role:
ReplyDeleteTranscripts
And Hannah was certainly dressed like a hooker. It had to be pretty obvious that the sharply dressed man with her was her pimp, independent of the transcript that proves it.
I saw Colbert last night and laughed so hard it hurt.
ReplyDeleteI mean that video has to be true right? Just like the acorn was real. Right?? Also too.
please, what happened to bree?
ReplyDeleteit's one thing to go on hiatus and cease new posts because you're busy in the real world, but to delete the whole blog? after a year of work? something must have happened.....
ReplyDeleteand the p-bots are sending tina fey death threats?
ReplyDeleteseriously, sp supporters are the type to be crazed domestic terrorists.....
O/T--Gryphen, do you know what happened to Bree?
ReplyDeleteAfter she did a post on the e-mail from the State of Alaska, Benefits Div., she said she was taking a break.
I typed that e-mail here, Gryphen, on one of your threads. Whether or not Bree saw that here, I don't know. But, she picked it up and did a post on it.
Now, her blog has shut down. Bree was a fan of Audreys over at PD. She commented there often. I hope she is O.K.

Bree's last post:

As I'm sure you can tell, I am hopelessly distracted with real life which at this very moment is banging very loudly on my door. And, as I cannot give this blog my full attention, I am afraid I am going to have to say Adieu.
To my readers and commenters, I cannot thank you enough!
(Catfood: Please, please, please get a blog, a tumblr, or a twitter account!)
I hope she's OK...
Now that was serious comedy. Hannity of course had it coming in spades.
ReplyDeleteColbert is brilliant! Thanks for posting the video and reporting on the story the MSM is mostly ignoring.
ReplyDeleteI am very disappointed at the followup to this story in the MSM. It's there, but it is buried.
ReplyDeleteO'Keefe seriously edited all the footage. . .not only the dressing up like a pimp part, but the hours of footage taken at other ACORN offices where the reaction was negative. . .one office even called the police on them.
There was a lawsuit that followed on the heels of ACORN's funding being cut by the government as a result of this 'yellow journalism' and the judge presiding was presented with all the 'lost' footage. . .and ruled against the funds being cut.
I have even been a critic of ACORN in the past. . .there definitely has been some misdeeds at the top and a lot of loose organizational behavior regarding voter registration (none of which has been proved to result in actual voter fraud). But ACORN also has a credible track record of reporting on itself, especially in regards to voter registration.
But I guess this sort of detailed follow up is not 'sexy' enough for the MSM.
