Defenders of Wildlife are asking for our help.

More than 190,000 caring people have already urged Discovery to cancel Palin’s scheduled TLC show, and now we’re going to make sure that we let Discovery’s executives know that conservation-minded people like us mean business.

As Alaska’s governor, Sarah Palin…
  • Fought vital, life-saving protections for threatened polar bears and rare Cook Inlet beluga whales;
  • Championed cruel and unscientific aerial wolf-killing programs, proposing a $150 bounty for the left forelimb of wolves; and
  •  Argued aggressively for destructive drilling in key habitat for polar bears, walruses and other Arctic wildlife.
Please donate now to help blanket the local subway station used by Discovery’s shareholders, employees, management, and advertisers with powerful ads, compel Discovery to pull the plug on Palin’s show and secure a better future for wolves, polar bears and other imperiled wildlife

If you want to send a message to the people at Discovery please click here and provide a donation to help them advertise to the world why Sarah Palin is the worst possible choice to host a program like this.

The LA Times has more here:

The wildlife group said it plans to keep the ads up for a month as part of its effort to cancel the program. The group is coordinating a petition drive that it says has directed at least 250,000 e-mails to the company so far.

“This is the largest response we’ve ever had to any of our actions,” said Jeff Regen, vice president of online marketing and communications for the organization. “We’re not going to stop until we win.”

Now see THAT is the kind of determination and chutzpah it takes to defeat Sarah Palin and her enablers.  Believe me I know.

  2. This would be more effective to go straight to the source; the advertisers.

If they don't buy commercial time for Palin's show, the show doesn't fly. Let Kraft, Proctor & Gambol, Nike or whoever it is that buys time on TLC know that if they buy time for Palin's show, you're not buying their products. You'll make sure none of your friends or neighbors does either. And you'll use every social network, forum, website, etc. that you have access to to spread the word to avoid the show and their products.

If TLC can't sell commercial time, Palin's show will never air.

It's a money issue. If they can't make money, the show will be canceled.

    The sooner the better.

Current Discovery advertisers need to know that you will BOYCOTT all of their products if they advertise on the Palin Kills Wildlife show.

    Contact them and let'em know.

    This was posted at Alternet:

Paying Sarah Palin $250,000 per episode to kill and eat wolf pups or whatever may not have been the Discovery Channel’s wisest decision. According to the Young Turks, a source at the channel says a presentation of “Sarah Palin’s Alaska” to ad buyers prompted eye rolling, snickering, straight-up laughter.

“People were laughing and it’s not even a comedy. No one took it seriously.”

Advertisers are primed, so write them to confirm that they should not advertise on "her" show.
