Every time I hear this guy talk it breaks my heart just a little more.

"Are you okay right now?" Can I answer that?  No! He most certainly is not!

Somebody has taken advantage of this unfortunate man and I hope like hell they are discovered and given an appropriate consequence.  I don't know like maybe having to sit in a room for several hours while Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin explain how government works to him or something.

And here I thought Alaska politics were broken.

One way to find out who is backing him is for the SC party to not fund his election and then find out who is.

Somebody gave this man $10,400 dollars to put in his bank account so he could write a check for his filing fee. Either that or he lied big time when he claimed to be indigent when he was charged with indecency.
Who was that lawyer who was prompting him on Olbermann? His public defender is only paid to defend him on the obscenity charge not on legal issues arising from election fraud. Did Olbermann’s crew get pictures of the lawyer?
Somebody has to know who the lawyer is and who is paying the lawyer.

Let's all guess who is behind this.

I'm leaning toward Brietbart. He doesn't care of he convinces other people to break the law. O’Keefe is so stupid he hasn’t figured that out yet.

Herr Rove is too careful and I don't think he would pick so unconvincing a patsy.

Somebody local maybe, because it looks like somebody has a hold over Mr. Greene or he would have bailed about half way through Olbermann’s interview.

I'm not familiar with this CNN journalist but it is amazing how his struggle to vet this unknown doesn't come off as elite, sexist or racist? Sure, it helps that he too is black, but anyone, male, female, minority, white, young, old, . . .any person of the press was accused of everything under the sun for picking on a virtual stranger wanting to be the second most powerful person in the world.

Sarah Palin, for all of her thin resume and manufactured narrative - had a well oiled, well financed spin machine called the GOP protecting her, decrying any vetting by the press, bloggers, groups and private citizens and managed to both lower the bar and vilify journalistic practice and standards.

There are still lessons to be learned here, with Sarah, with Bachmann, with DeLay, Blago, etc., no matter the affiliation or platform, pay attention to your elections, your candidates, the issues. It will all inevitably affect not only your backyard, but even your office space, doctor's office and bedroom. If you don't pay attention, you end up with President Palin and Senator Green.

This is highly suspicious. As the mother of a soldier injured in Iraq, I wonder if Mr. Greene is also suffering from some undiagnosed brain injury. He comes across as incredibly sincere, and my heart goes out to him as well. Leave it to the Repugs to screw over yet another vet.

I saw an interview with 2 democratic state reps and they both delicately said they didn't know who he was, and one even alluded to his mental capacity. This is sad indeed. I said it on another blog, he is a pawn and probably doesn't realize the repercussions of it all. I hope someone who cares about him and loves him persuades him to step down and speak up on how this came to be. This is sad and tragic on so many levels.

  6. It's sort of sad, but South Carolina isn't exactly known for picking the brightest to represent them. If the Dems get the GOP to play by the rules, real debates ect. Greene might win enough sympathy to win over Demint. After all he wouldn't be a worse Senator.

It breaks my heart too. Poor guy. Breitbart might be behind it - I hadn't thought of him but I don't think he would have the clout or connections to rig the voting machines. I do suspect DeMint, Rove and their ilk. Repubs are beyond desperate.

That poor man. He's so obviously scared and doing his best to say what he's been told to say. Whoever's behind this should go to jail for a long time.

Wiki says "Clyburn recalled the events surrounding the 1990 primary, when Rod Shealy recruited unemployed black fisherman Benjamin Hunt, Jr. to mount a primary challenge to Arthur Ravenel, Jr.[19] He also claims that Greene's campaign manager works for Representative Joe Wilson (R-S.C.)"

Joe "You Lie" Wilson. Coincidences, coincidences.

How sad there is something wrong going on down in S.C. I hope that someone will give this man the help that he needs.

I also think the SC Democratic Central Committee was totally asleep at the wheel! Not one single Democrat asked any questions about Mr Greene?? Even just a simple, "Who is this guy?" He never campaigned, never attended any meetings, no one ever picked up a phone and called him? Ludicrous.

I read that Greene actually has a Political Science degree . (It's on Firedoglake).
Something clearly happened to this man mentally. It is very sad. I have seen both sides, right and left, MSM "giggle" about Mr Greene and they should be ashamed.

  12. This reminds me of the alleged voter fraud with Bush. Common sense would tell you that there is no way this man won 60% of the votes for the South Carolina Democratic candidate. That would be right up there with Sarah Palin giving birth to Trig.

This is the programer who explained how the vote was rigged:

August 02, 2006 — Clinton E. Curtis, ex-programmer tells all during a Congressional hearing on voting fraud. In October 2000, Curtis was asked by Tom Feeney (R), then Speaker of the House in Florida, to write a computer program that would render electronic voting fraud undetectable. Curtis did just that.

This is so painful to see. I wish the poor man gets whatever help he needs.

I think Anonymous 6:24 is on to something. Perhaps this man is suffering from trauma suffered during his tour in Iraq. Other causes might be drug dependency, and handlers who threaten exposure or holding back the drugs. I am siding with a military-related brain trauma.

Whatever the cause, this man needs to be counseled and encouraged to side aside. I hope he has family or friends who will speak the truth with him and who have influence over him for his own best interests. Still, why have they not stepped forward before this point?
