Geoffrey Dunn is pretty fed up with Sarah Palin referring to herself as an "expert on energy issues."

From the Huffington Post:

Perhaps the biggest joke being fobbed by Palin to the American public is that she is some sort of expert on energy issues. Sarah Palin isn't an expert on anything -- remember that this is a woman who didn't know the difference between England and Great Britain as she began her not-so-celebrated run for the vice-presidency -- and who quit her governorship after two-and-a-half years of failed leadership and being found guilty of "abuse of power" in the Last Frontier. It's all smoke and mirrors. She is fed a series of talking points by her advisers before each of her punditry appearances and then dishes them out in what my friends in Alaska have dubbed "word salads" -- without the dressing.

O'Reilly lied, too, of course, when he said, "I'm pleased to have you on the program tonight [as] there is not a governor in the United States who has more experience than you do dealing with the oil companies." Sarah Palin? The half-governor? Uh, Alaska isn't even the largest oil-producing state in the union. Texas is, followed by Alaska, California... and you didn't guess it: North Dakota. Is anyone touting current North Dakota governor John Hoeven as a national expert in resource policy? And why does everyone -- including Palin herself -- keep pretending that she is still governor?

Listen the ONLY thing Sarah Palin is an expert in is telling lies.  But then again how could she not be?  After all she practices that skill every single day.

Even when she was on the O&G commission, wasn't she a layman appointee? It wasn't any (non-existent) credentials as an O&G "expert" that got her the job. It was a political concession after losing the Lt Gov race, right? I remember her saying that maybe now (by being on the commission) she'd be able to have an intelligent conversation with her North Slope workin' hubby.

Do I have the details right?

Let us just hope, then, that Dunn and McGinnis are hunkering down and digging deep, in a muscular way, in contrast to all of the other media claptraps that just regurgitate what the MSM has produced, or have been paid by the SarahPAC or McCain-Palin machine to manufacture the myth.

It is a terrible time in our country for the Fourth Estate, and its guardianship of our Constitutional rights. Most of the big newspapers have been hobbled and eviscerated by the internet transition, the economy and lack of funds for true research and independence. Bloggers are great; some even tread where traditional angels feared to a decade or so ago, stumbling upon the truth and attempting to make it public, but they are relatively catch as catch can, and they have their own vulernabilities to contend with.

There is no substitute for real journalism backed by independent minded deep pockets.

And the support of a loyal, thoughtful, caring readership.

There has been enough coverage of Sarah's more shallow highjinks, as pervasive and dangerous as they are. SOMEONE has GOT to scrape away the self-serving crust of those who know the real details of her past, but have not come forward. Or to connect the dots of all that has been revealed to express this in a coherent, persuasive, substantiated manner, in one place.

She's a fraud. She has been since she stepped upon the stage of her mayorality. She's not an anti-corruption anti-Big Oil Queen, she's the shill of other more powerful interests and they happen to intersect with hers. The more money Sarah makes, the more money they do. There have been gas interests in all of this as well, not just Oil, and pay offs and deals. . .

Much work to be done here, and Alaskan arms to be twisted to tell the truth.

    Democrat and Republican.

I'm just hoping that McGinnis is doing more than sitting on his deck, fooling himself into thinking that proximity is equal to truth. So many of us having been sweating blood to expose Palin from a further distance, exasperated that surely so many in Alaska know exactly what we are shouting about. . .but do not care enough about their country to find the courage to tell what they know.

I heard the perfect descriptive for Sarah. It's just classy and difficult enough that she won't understand she is getting dissed when you describe as being this sort of person.

I apologize for forgetting the name of the journalist on Keith's show tonight who used it, but man, oh, man, it fits Sarah to a tee.

Sarah Palin is a mendacious person (i.e., one who habitually lies, is dishonest and untruthful).

Ah, how she happily struts her mendacity. She is so proud of it; she wants us not to forget the mendacious way she skews her past to suit her present purposes.

I bet if an interviewer called her mendacious in a nice tone of voice, she would thank him or her and smile (maybe even wink).

Sarah the Mendacious - may her fame turn into infamy as people learn more about her. She was right to stay with the Republican Party because it is the party of the mendacious.

Thank God this is finally becoming a topic in the news. Two years ago I was shaking my head in disbelief that this woman was allowed to self-label as an energy expert. It was like she went to one of those online diploma scam sites and bought some credentials. Actually, I don't really believe that; I have always thought she found a cardboard "Energy Expert" button in the bottom of her Crackerjacks.

Later in the article Dunn talks about Palin's barely concealed rage. Of course her rage isn't the rage of the "I don't want anyone to have what I've got tea baggers." Her rage is the personal rage of a stupid woman who is being pumped up to look less stupid, but it's failing. Her rage is the rage of a mediocre woman who has quit everything she's ever done but believes she is better qualified than everyone else--especially a brilliant President who she couldn't carry shoes for and who ignores her.

The thing Palin has most in common with the people who follow her is a dogged belief that the truth is irrelevant. And Palin, having no clue about ANYTHING (especial energy solutions) thinks her ignorant rants are the way to pimp herself out as the GOP nominee for 2012. Of course the way the GOP is going she'll be on a big ship of fools.

Dunn hits it on the head.

There is another line in Dunn's article that is important. He just received "a massive dump of Palin's emails through an Alaska Public Records Act request." Dunn even quotes from Palin's private Yahoo account which was used to conduct government business as he details how Palin dealt with the oil industry.

He is also convinced that Palin is positioning herself to run for president in 2012. I do hope that Dunn's book will be out in 2011, well ahead of Sarah's many interviews with the media, debates with the other Republican candidates and oh, wait a minute, Sarah will be the first presidential candidate to campaign via Twitter and Face Book, with her only appearances on Fox News. And only if she knows what they will ask her ahead of time.

I'm confused about the anger. I see I- who could miss it. She looks and sounds like a cold hardened bitch.

Why do these neocon men help her? That's who is feeding her this garbage. Kristol, Schneumann, maybe Malek, maybe Rove. Why are they supporting such a sociopath? They can't control her. They think they can now but she is a narcissistic nasty nutjob who listens to no one. Todd is only there for the money.
    Do you see the love?

In that O'Reilley video, she looks 55 years old, pursed tight lips, a cold hardened face full of hate. "We can't even get a phone call!" that's what she said. "the Dutch, the Norwegian..they can't get a phone call either.!!! How does she know if they have gotten phone calls? Is she angry the President hasn't called her?? Lol.
Is she that mentally ill that she thinks he reads her facebook??ROFL
And why would ge call her?? Hahahaha

I wonder why Geoffrey thinks she is so full of rage??
To me she looks and sounds delusional and absolutely insane.

Her followers still don't see it yet which is really sad.

I hope she keeps comin on Fox looking and acting like that. Arrogant, inarticulate, nasty, nuts, old and off her rocker.
