Ticket sales to events featuring Sarah Palin continue their death spiral. Thank God her daughter now has that fledgling acting career to help make ends meet.

The Gwinnett Arena near Atlanta Georgia has the capacity to seat 13,000 people.  That MAY be about 12,000 more seats than they will need.

From AJC:

David Glover figured the hard part was over.

He landed one of the biggest names in the country to headline the first fund-raiser for his Gwinnett County ministry, Zachariah's Way. Tuesday's event at the Gwinnett Arena will benefit the ministry's main program, which helps churches learn how to better serve special-needs parishioners.

But apparently not even Sarah Palin can make ticket sales sing.

"It's going better, [but] we're just trying to sell tickets," said Glover. "To be honest, it's something we didn't anticipate at all. It speaks more to the economy and all that, but we thought Sarah Palin and Atlanta and throw it out there and people would come."

This is a religious event, for the special needs community, held in GEORGIA, a state so deeply red that by comparison it makes Alaska look positively periwinkle.

This is an appearance that encompasses not one, not two, but THREE of the demographics that Sarah Palin is supposedly the most popular with, and STILL she cannot put asses in the seats.  NOW does she realize that she is irrelevant?

How much is she hitting them up for? Of course, she'll say she's doing it for free or returning the fee as a donation, but I'd really like to see the receipt.

  2. $arah will probably just vilify the President when she speaks at this religious event. I wonder if she knows that the Bible considers that a sin?
Oh, and if she is counting on Bristol to further the family wealth with her acting abilities, a poster put it best:
If they'd just made a cardboard cutout of Bristol, made a hole for a sock-puppet mouth, and run the script lines through a vocoder, they'd have saved a few bucks, with nobody the wiser.

Sarah Palin cannot put asses in the seats!

If they call on Bristol to do her famous line, "Due ewe have a son ore a dallter?" maybe then they will sell out the arena?

Hey it's a shot... a long shot, but it is a shot!

LOL Pattie. I prfer the commenter who stated "with a few more acting lessons she could do porn."

Palin has been overexposed -not a good thing for a total idiot. Even the right sees her for the ignorant, non-christian, money mongering, crybaby, blamegame, mean girl that she is.

  9. There is an earlier event of a reception with Palin for $1000. Maybe that will boost the revenue of unexpected low ticket sales to her speech.

Palin's devoted fans hold people in disdain who give a speech and do not charge an enormous speaking fee. Charity, volunteerism and donating your own money to a cause is held in contempt by a small percentage of persons. Human virtues are mocked by them deeming people who act with virtue as fools, stupid and themselves "clever", supremely religious which is the opposite of reality.

The public prefers to get something worthwhile for their money. I am certain that control there be no press allowed Palin to control people from knowing she delivers her talking points, vilification, exalt self as most superior, demonize the opponent as villian speeches equivalent to campaign trail speeches and populist rhetoric be it feminist, red neck, poor person, downs syndrome family, poor family speeches.

I can't wait for the Mama Grizzly to go ona rampage reviewers and people are "attacking" Bristol. Acting is not a gift or talent Bristol was born with like other people.

I predict the See of Pee divides when the TLC reality show starring Sarah and Todd airs clearly not a "documentary" to promote Alaska nor "serve Alaskans" It will be all about the Palins, their boat, them, their cabin(s)etc. Yet again, the Palins protecting their privacy, doing it all for others!!:)lol

  10. According to ajc.com the event is scheduled for Tuesday of next week. IIRC, the lowest ticket price is $25, and you can pay $1,000 to attend a special event with Palin. Money wasted if you ask me. I don't think Palin can make a speech at a religious event of this sort without taking a pot shot at the president. I'm keeping a very close eye on this event since I live in GA, not far from Atlanta. When I read this on the ajc.com web site yesterday, I was one happy creature. Zachariah's Way has to sell a whole lot of tickets over the weekend, or they will be in a deep hole financially after paying Palin's speaking fees. Karma is a mean old b!tch!

Well, as grandma always said--why pay for the milk when you can get the cow for free. Since Sarah's fees have been unmasked and she charges special needs children, religious groups and struggling colleges --but not money heavy groups like the NRA she's starting to smell bad to people who can't really afford her babbling fee.

There is such a thing as polluting your market. In other word, Sarah routinely shits where she eats, then stiffs the poor patrons with her word salad, grabs the bucks, then runs to the rich people and babbles for free.
Boy she sure is a giver---but what she gives requires an antibiotic.

Many people who are religious do not consider $p religious. She talks the talk, attempts to, lets say, but her actions are not Christian. Her main appeal is to racists. The rest have a fetish for grannies dressed like street walkers. No real Christian wants to be associated with her.

This event must've been in the works for awhile,
as the promoter started trying to line-up Palin from the time she resigned. He even flew to Alaska to personally contact her. But, according to him 'everything there was so crazy at that time,'
he failed, but didn't give up. He found Heather's tel.# & she informed Palin & the rest is history.
It was the Wash. Speakers' Bureau that contacted this
GA. group & said Palin was interested in doing their
event. So yes, Palin will probably pocket a wad of
$$ if the WSB is involved. Also, how do these
desperate-for-funds groups have the money to hop on
jets to travel a couple of thousand miles just to
personally contact someone for one of their events?
Also, I looked at this group's website, but can't figure out what it is they actually do. It's called,
pureministryproject.com, but apparently it takes a pile of cash to do it.

I honest-to-god think people are bored with her. She offers the same-old, same-old: victim, freedom, victim, troops, victim, bad Obama, victim. There, you owe me $100,000. She whines and complains, starts false fights, and has nothing new to offer. Maybe people are finally wising up. Too bad, buttercup.

    More of the same...

In late April, the Fort Worth Star-Telegraph ran this story:

    http://www.star-telegram.com/2010/04/26/2143605/ticket-prices-drop-for-sarah-palin.html

Same problem in Dallas at that time.. So, you would think that event organizers would research her ability to "put ases in the seats" so to speak, and realize that her little star is not nearly as bright as it used to be.

Evidently, this is not the case, as
    David Glover proves to us.

On the other hand, I suppose it must be difficult for event organizers like
David Glover to come up with some empty headed bimbo who preaches nothing but hate of this country, and has absolutely no moral character... the redneck trifecta.

I fully expect to read more of these types of stories, and will giggle like a little girl everytime I do. It's just too funny.

what's probably really keeping people away gryphen, is that the rural whites (palin's core fanbase) don't want to have to go near atlanta because of all the black people we've got here. it scares them when they're outnumbered. I would bet they're terrified at the thought of having to drive through atlanta in the dark on their way home.

the population in metro atlanta is almost 6 million people - less than a week to go and they've only sold 1000 tickets? ouch!

You asked: "NOW does she realize that she is irrelevant?"

But the answer has to be no. It's a hallmark, well known, of her mental illness. She ain't gittin' it.

The rest of us would be so embarrassed, if nothing else, that we'd trip over ourselves shutting up and getting back home and out of sight. Not the wackos; they just keep going and going until they put the little pink Engergizer guy out of business.....and they don't feel bad about that, either.

I live in metro Atlanta and am pretty surprised that she's not able to fill the arena. Georgia is a BRIGHT RED state and I assumed everyone (but me) adored the Northern Numbskull. This gives me hope--maybe not all my fellow citizens are dumb as hammers.

Scarah KNOWS NOTHING about 'special needs'. She didn't birth Trig and now that he's too heavy to tote around like a 'loaf of bread', he hasn't been seen in public! She's not taking direct personal care of him, but rather fencing him out with family members or others, so she has NO CLUE what 'special needs' means or [physically/emotionally] requires. She is never around him and I believe she doesn't want to be around him. Special needs takes 'every second of a person's time' devoted to the person with those needs [hell, even a regular baby or toddler requires every second devoted to it. She can only muster that type of attention to herself; no one else matters.

I'm THRILLED her tickets are not selling and there is no way anyone could convince me that it's due to the economy. She has overplayed herself and when she has nothing to offer except the same 'old, tired lines', who wants to pay even one cent to listen? Couldn't happen to an uglier person!!!!

The falling off of her ticket sales doe not surprise me too much. She sell negativity. She is snarky, which actually doesn't look all that professional on a national level.
She has managed to say something to offend just about everyone at least once, even the Tea Baggers who she told to join the RepoTaliban.

Does she realize that when she supports a Tea Bagger candidate that she loses support of most of the republicans of that state or district?

She has no positive suggestions of how to deal with the things she criticizes. Instead of, like may POTUS wanna bees, writing a book setting out her vision of programs and pollitical goals she wrote snark and lies.

And the Alaska Progressive bloggers, like a good herd dog just keep nipping at her heels, with the truth.

The red necks she says she is one of can't be all that thrilled with her two houses, two lake side properties, two cabins, one airplane, one boat and an endless wardrobe.

She is shrill, mean, doesn't act like the Christian she says she is, she lies constantly and she isn't even an expert on the things she says she is an expert on much less anything else, like science, history, international affairs, government, the name of one news paper or one Founding Father.

I agree with many commentators before me Sarah has no clue how to raise a special needs child. He should be receiving therapy and education. As a mother of three children I was appalled at the way she treats Trig. Two of my children have minor learning disabilities (they both started school at the young age of 2 and a half, they had very intensive speech and language classes)it was nothing as bad a Trig and I would never fly then all over the US just for fame and fortune or to be the first lady VP. She is a disgusting piece of shit. As for her dimming star it couldn't have happened to a more deserving person. If I believed in God I would say that he is shutting the door for SP and will never open it wide enough for her to plow right on through.

I have always said that giving birth to a special needs child is easy compared to the time, energy, and money a parent needs to invest in order to ensure that child lives up to his or her potential. She has used this poor child as a prop, and seemingly has little if any interest in his development.

It's encouraging to know that her appeal is dimming. As clueless as she is, she will keep on saying and doing the same stupid, ignorant things that continue to turn people off. Everything she presents herself to be is only a facade. She is a neglectful mother, the opposite of being the embodiment of a "mama grizzly." Her vitriol and lies, especially directed at the president, show she is far from being the Christian she only gives lip service to being. She is no expert on anything, despite her attempts and those of her most rabid supporters to portray her as one.
For someone who likes to portray herself as a strong feminist, she is a whining crybaby who can dish it out but can't take it. Her choice to be interviewed only on FOX also belies that image. She is long on criticism but offers no solutions of her own. Her descent into permanent irrelevancy can't happen fast enough for me.
