Floyd Orr has conducted a very extensive interview with one of my all time favorite babygate bloggers, Bree Palin.
Go here to read the entire interview.
After reading the interview I was reminded of just how much I miss having Bree on the team. She was one of the best.
Just a little inside baseball for you, I had sent Bree a picture of the "ruffled ear baby" months before I made my post. I trusted her implicitly and KNEW that she would wait for my post before using the picture herself. And of course that trust was not misplaced.
Too many good anti-Sarah blogs have gone by the wayside.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt in my mind... Bree would have ripped Sarah apart on the Belmont outfit.
Thanks for the link! This has made my weekend. I am surprised by how much I miss my ¨bloggy¨ friend Bree.
ReplyDeletegreat article
ReplyDeleteInteresting interview. I'm beginning to believe that Sarah quit her job so she could earn enough to pay hush money to all the people involved. I'm sure some of her friends have a nicer lifestyle because of what they know.
ReplyDeleteThank you for plugging the interview, Gryphen! I have always been on your team all the way. keep up the good work!
ReplyDeletehttp://palinbabygate.blogspot.com/
thanks for that link, gryphen. it was good to hear from bree again.
ReplyDeleteBree represents an educated working mother that manages to be a policy wonk despite all her other obligations.
ReplyDeleteWhat is with this Grizzly Momma crap? As an Alaskan working mother that is also too a policy wonk, I don't need to be categorized as such to be a meaningful (and threatening) contingency of the American public. I also don't want these psycho women in public office even if they do happen to beef up our numbers in the process.
As usual, Sarah's got it wrong.
And Floyd did a very good job in this interview. I miss Bree's blog very much. She tapped directly into my concerns for the calculating and manipulative fraud Palin has perpetrated to get McCain's attention.
As usual, Palin got to where she is by other's strength and record, she is a coat-tail catapulter in a most fascinating and outrageous manner.
I think it should be a critical fact that the Governor should not have even accepted that speaking engagement in Texas so far along in her high-risk 'pregnancy.'
ReplyDeleteI missed out on my own brother's wedding because I was seven months along and worried about complications that could arise en route, on sight or mid-air. Not only is that considerate of the fetus, it is of the wedding party and the passengers. Right?
It showed incredible carelessness or willful recklessness on the baby's safety. And illustrates her enormous ego in wanting to be featured at such an event, just like her accepting an unvetted telephone conversation with French President Nicolas Sarkozy that turned out to be a duo-host radio show that spanked her good.
Bree has it right when she says Palin tries to jump on opportunities with her gutteral non-blinking instinct without consideration of the consequences.
I miss Bree! She always threw in just the right amount of snark.
ReplyDeleteAnd, thanks to Floyd for all his hard work and insight into babygate and Sarah in general.
What about the fact that the whole Sarah Todd wife swapping saga is about to be exposed
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly, I didn't read Bree's blog all that much while it was up and running ... guess that I believed that it would always be there!
ReplyDeleteNice interview! I'd attempted to leave a comment on the PB site, but cannot get signed in properly to do so. The interview brought up a couple of lingering thoughts that I've always had about the whole story as told by SP ...
First, it's quite uncommon to have an amniocentesis done at 13 weeks gestation; amniocentesis is generally done between 16 and 20 weeks gestation. (CVS -- chorionic villi sampling -- is preferred in earlier pregnancy, generally being performed at 10-13 weeks gestation.) I suppose that one could give SP benefit of doubt that she'd interchanged the term "amnio" while meaning CVS, but I believe that many women would know the difference so that there would be no reason to dummy down the term. This leads me to believe that SP had made up this 'fact' or she would have used the correct terminology.
Secondly, and there is likely no way to answer this: where was Toad during the alleged conception? Given that he'd be gone for 'weeks at a time' with his job on the North Slope and his fishing gig, to say nothing of her travel schedule, were they even in the same locality so that conception could occur? (Given the "mid-May" due date SP originally gave in the "Secret's Out" article in ADN on 03/06/2008, conception likely would have occurred in late August 2007 ... )
Lastly, I've noted a number of commenters talk about the "hole" in Trig's heart as though it's a fact. Is there any reliable source that he does indeed have a septal defect, or was born with one? Bree mentioned in the interview that there was a higher likelihood in Down Syndrome, but I've never seen this as a bonafide fact ... has this been confirmed somewhere, or is it just internet folklore?
THAT is a nice interview!
ReplyDeleteBig Hugs to Mr. Orr and Bree and you!
Take care, Gyph.
tallimat
Gryphen - Thanks for pointing me to the interview. It's great to hear from Bree.
ReplyDeleteI miss Bree too.
ReplyDeleteC'mon, can it be proven that Sarah and Todd actually participated in wifeswapping activities? This is being brought out to completely sabotage a potential candidate based on pure rumor. They seem to have been/be a loving couple, with children who all look just like them
ReplyDeleteYou know, we can't have it both ways. If both are true, that Todd and Sarah were physically a part of a wifeswapping thing in the 90s AND later Sarah did have an affair with Brad, then why would Todd get SOO mad at his wife's affair that he dissolved all contact.
ReplyDeleteNo I don't believe either Todd or Sarah were a physical part of the swinger club, but it doesn't mean they couldn't hang around the group if it's true they did. I also don't believe an affair was consummated between B and S (haha). I think an emotional affair was enough to put Todd over the edge. He seems rather protective of her even today.
Anon at 9:56 am: Remember that she was NOT PREGNANT! If you had been faking a pregnancy, you could have attended your brother's wedding, no problem. You would have gotten on the plane with no worries at all. Just like SP. --Amy1
ReplyDeleteGryphen, please post a picture of that little teeny clinic where Sarah had her child. You know, that little crackerbox shack with the dirt floors:

Floyd and Bree -- what a GREAT combination, and a great interview. Thank you! Hows about you interview Audrey, Floyd?
ReplyDeleteSo great to hear from Bree. I'm thoroughly enjoying the variety of blogs on the topic right now, but there was something great about the triumvirate of Gryphen, Palingates and Bree.
ReplyDeleteWhat is the direct email address for Floyd M. Orr? I can't get any of the links to him on his site to work, and I'd like to leave a comment there regarding the Dr. CBJ topic. (Sorry, it's just a comment - not any real good "poop"). Thanks
ReplyDeleteI wrote two huge comments to Floyd's "palinbabygate" blog last night, but lost them both. I can't get signed in - help!
ReplyDeleteHeidi 1, I was not aware I was having contact problems at my site. I shall certainly check that out. In the meantime, you can send me anything at tabitha at nctv dot com. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteto 10:27 AM,
ReplyDeletein the MSNBC emails, Todd talks about planning a family trip to Hawaii or somewhere for end of August 07. I have no way of knowing if the trip happened, but there was an exchange between him and Bailey(?). So if Trig was conceived in aug and due in may, they could both be the parents. I'm not entirely convinced Todd was away THAT MUCH; on business and slope, yes, but they seem to be a couple who plans things well (hahaha, yes i reread that).
Anonymous, yes I would be quite honored to interview Audrey, Sadie, Gryphen, or any other legendary names in the Babygate saga. I am not only good at interviewing, but I am good at keeping secrets, also, too! And I am very modest, also, too!
ReplyDeleteTodd's schedule on the Slope was two on, two off like many Alaskans.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the identical twin theory, this is the composite pic that I posted on my web site, Palin Peyton Place. It shows not only the difference in the ears, but how similar the babies look in the face:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/35383132@N00/4715160688/sizes/l/in/photostream/
And this shows why I believe the first baby that was introduced as Trig, on Aug 29th, 2008, was actually 'Ruffles'. Five days later, he is switched out with 'Round Ears'.
http://www.flickr.com/photos/35383132@N00/4715365960/in/photostream/
Those are the two pictures that I am trying to get out to show that those two babies are being used and switched around by Sarah as casually as she switches out her earrings.
Floyd: I too lost a long post TWICE on your site. So I'll post it here.
ReplyDeleteFirst, GREAT interview, Bree and Floyd! Thank you.
I wanted to add my take on the chronology of the amniotic leak lie. I think it was first mentioned by SP as an offhand lie to her father after her return from TX (which is a clue about who was in on the hoax and who was not). Because in the post-"birth" interview, of which we have the audio, we hear SP responding to the reporter's leak qu with "WELL! If you must get that personal, . . ." whereupon the reporter says she's asking only because SP's dad mentioned it to her the day before. So then I think we hear SP manufacturing the details of the Wild Ride and the leak on the fly -- on the fly! With, yes, her total disregard of consequences and typical lack of knowledge (re the basics of high-risk births, in this case).
Also, re the criminal activity question: I wish we would keep the house fire in which Dar died in mind. Because she was an NICU professional in that tiny world there, I am betting that, via the professional grapevine, Dar knew whatever there is to know, and she might have been ready to talk. And then she died in that v suspicious fire, which was never reported on in any reasonable way. And if people in Wasilla believe Dar was shut up in this way, that would certainly be consistent with no one wanting to come forward with any info that would move this story forward.
Also re crime: Bree rejects "Flowers in the Attic," but I don't. I think there was something way worse than "my unwed 16-yr-old is pregnant" to make SP do the hoax. I say that because of how efficiently that issue was addressed to the whole world at the RNC the second time. With all the drinking and drugs at the time of Trig's conception, and the fact that we don't know who Trig's father OR mother are for sure, I would say there was something so awful for SP that doing the hoax seemed like the far preferable risk to take at that point.
My guess has been that the amnio at 13 weeks, for someone who would never use amnio results to abort, was for the purpose of confirming paternity, to know how awful this problem really was. And the amnio confirmed the worst fears re paternity, so the hoax was her best shot, because if the other came to light, it would be worse. (If the 13-week amnio ever actually happened, that is.)

OMG!!!! I have been a "lurker" here at IMM for quite a while but I just had to post on this article. I absolutely LOVED Bree Palin!!!! It was through Bree where I was first introduced to the whole Palin hoax story. I actually grieved when Bree ended her blog. I would continue to try to go to her blog for something like two months, refusing to believe that she was no longer blogging. I was wishing someone would bring news of Bree. I understood that she needed to do other, more important things in her life but I truly miss her. Her blog was so easy to understand and it all made sense.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gryphen for letting me know what Bree is now doing. Tell her, I, along with many other "regulars", miss her. The person posting with a cat avatar (can't remember his/her name) cracked me up all of the time on "Bree Palin". I also miss seeing that picture of the fake pregnant Bree from DHW.
Great interview....
ReplyDeleteFor what it's worth...I too was an older mother and had an amnio test... not at 13 weeks but at 16 weeks.
I asked about having it done earlier, but my doctor, a very experienced "big city" doctor at a prestigious OB/GYN practice, said that it just wasn't done any earlier because it would not be reliable. It would be reckless to put the fetus at risk (because an amnio is risky) if the information to be obtained wasn't good.
Details, details. They never add up with Palin.
The death of the NICU nurse, Dar, combined with the fire at Palin's church (which supposedly burned adoption records) are also two other details that point to an UGLY situation. There are no coincidences, right, and these two are way too convenient.
I totally agree, anon 8:11. Because of Bree's comment in the interview about there being no criminal activity - in her mind that is, I spent a good part of my day today reading the googles. About Dar's death, and about the church fire. The whole thing has me riled up again. These are not "coincidences" or "unfortunate events" by any stretch of the imagination. They point directly to a horrible hoax, with deadly results, concocted to cover something so shameful that Sarah must be behind it. IMO.
ReplyDeleteSweeeeeet !!
ReplyDeleteIt was a good read for a rainy Saturday night.
(I finally got a Google account.)
I enjoyed the interview also. It was informative to read why Bree initially researched Palin and how she came to blog.
ReplyDeleteIt became obvious to me that those of us who did research about candidates in particular Palin, national newcomer, ended up on one side of a political divide with people who accepted the spin or brand about the VP candidate.
It just occurred to me that the Mama Grizzlies is an antedote to truth that Palin clearly did not protect her "cub" of unborn child nor did she protect Bristol when tapped nor later.
I believe it is vital the Wild Ride and Palin's atypical choices, her changing stories be widely known for the majority of women recoil at the story and it speaks volumes of Sarah's character. Truth also gives new meaning that Palin nor her daughter were "attacked" visciously but from shocking and incredulous horror about the Wild Ride and mystery pregnancy long absent of any physical signs. If Palin had not run as Hockey Mom, Mom of America to woo Clinton supporters and clinch the Evangelical voters
pro life and family values (sexism)
curiosity and truth seeking would not have been as sought in these areas of Palin's life.
One week ago I was sharing the background facts with my 29 year old daughter who is expecting her first child, 12 weeks pregnant. She related a sstory to me about a young coupe who's fetus was diagnosed like Trig. As she recounted their caution, adherence to medical guidelines for the safety of their expected child, my daughtr had tears in her eyes, choked up comparing the Wild Ride story. She concluded Palin is a sick woman. The Mama Grizzly spin does not hold any weight in the light of facts of the Wild Ride.
I have only met two mothers to be who willfully chose to ignore medical advice eating junk that jeopardized their and their baby's life. My point is maybe 2-3% of females are in Palin's category.
Any female who would make wreckless decisions void of care and concern of her child in utero especially knowing the child's high risk for her political ambitions are above the well being of an unborn child can not be trusted to have our citizens, the majority's best interests at heart. Anyone who has conceived recognizes this about Palin.
Palin will serve only Palin void of regard and consequences to any one. Her recounting the wild ride tape is powerful and needs to be heard by people. Labor is about the child foremost and of course the mother too. Palin, it's all about her bragging how "tough" she is.
I agree with Bree the McCain campaign believed they could hide Bristol's pregnancy or Palin likely sought to pull that one over for she thinks like that. the issue was the intent to deceive and hide something so obvious and Sarah's anger she had to tell the truth.
The focus appropriately needs to be on Sarah limited to her choices and habitual practice to deceive people and her choices to risk Trig's life, position Bristol to get run over for Sarah's political ambitions and questionably conceal her pregnancy also for her ambitions. The public was to believe what they were fed and not see the proverbial elephant in the room i.e. Bristol's pregnancy of the poster family of family values and abstinence. Palin would have been way ahead if she were capable of telling the truth.
Off topic here but Track was born on 4/20/1989, ironically that is the 100th anniversary of Adolf Hitler's birth.
ReplyDeleteGreat interview.
ReplyDeleteThanks to Gryphen for posting the link to a great site I did not know about.
Thanks to Floyd M. Orr for a great interview with Bree.
Too bad no anon comments at that site- but I understand why.
Thanks for stopping back to visit the blogs Bree.
Keep watching to see what turns up. Lots of turds in that Paylin punchbowl-some floaters and some sinkers- will more sinkers suddenly rise to the surface?
Bad smells abound.
I have to ask - didn't Palin give birth at Mat-Su Regional, which is a (fairly) nice facility? My sister-in-law has given birth there and I find it hard to swallow that they are not equipped to handle twins...
