Speaking from Delta Junction, Alaska, where he is working as an electrician for the summer, 20-year-old Barber said he was blindsided by news that Bristol and Levi had reunited. Barber says he and Bristol got together just after Christmas last year, and only broke up two months ago. He maintains that Bristol did not leave him for her former flame—though he acknowledges that Bristol and Levi did begin dating anew about six weeks ago.
“She was totally anti-Levi. I heard from a friend and then Bristol told me the next day, ‘You’re going to be mad. I’ve been talking to Levi.’ I didn’t care, but this is really surprising, you go from hating Levi to marrying Levi in two to three months,” Barber said.
Barber, a Wasilla native, has known the Palins for years and says he’s close friends with the Palins’ eldest son, Track. Johnston and Barber were also friends; the two played hockey together, and Barber was set to be one of Levi’s groomsmen, as news that Bristol was pregnant by Levi was followed by wedding plans. Bristol’s struggles with her baby’s father led her directly into Barber’s arms, the ex says.
“Bristol called me angry about Levi and then we just fell into place. It was good and then went downhill. I helped her out with Tripp more than Levi ever did,” Barber said. “What does Levi have going for him? Nothing. He’s probably the worst person to give fame to anyways.”
Barber is clearly miffed that Bristol and Levi are back together. “I don’t understand how Bristol can go and spend her life with someone who can’t get his GED? What’s he going to do when all this stuff has run out on him?”
Well that interview pretty much backs up everything that I have written about this situation for the last several months. Shushannah did a damn good job of getting his interview. I had just started looking for Ben myself to interview him but she beat me to it. But no hard feelings she did great!

She even thought to ask Barber about the possibility of Bristol being pregnant. It appears he may be suspicious as well:

And what did he really expect her to say when asked if she was preggers? Duh. She is a Palin.

Bristol's gonna feel terrible in like 5 years when she realizes she's caused her family and Levi's family so much suffering. I don't think this is the product of Sarah but just a spoiled girl with a penchant for flair and materialism.

ReplyDeleteBut the late-night host, who ran afoul of the Palin family last year with a misfired joke, took it relatively easy on the young couple on Wednesday's "Late Show."
Letterman joked that Johnston will arrive for the wedding tied to "Sarah Palin's pickup." He also wisecracked that Bristol Palin made the announcement on an "hour-long ESPN special," a reference to the channel's show on LeBron James.
Letterman's final Palin joke poked fun at himself. Last year, he apologized to the Palins for a ribald joke involving one of their daughters.
On Wednesday, the CBS host noted that Johnston, who made comments critical of the Palins, has issued a "heartfelt apology" to them.
Letterman paused a couple of beats, then said: "That kind of rings a bell."
That post had many interesting tid bits. Maybe finally some truth.

So from Ben we learn that 1) Bristol's most recent boyfriend--who surely knows whether B is sticking to her revirginal vows or not-- thinks she could be pregnant (how's that abstinence thingy workin' out for ya?) 2) that Bristol lied when she told the press recently that she and Levi were not in a romantic relationship, since Ben says this has been going on for 6 weeks; 3) that Todd and Track think this is a bad idea, but not a word about Sarah's opinion; 4) that Track called his sister a "slut" and another 4-letter word; 5) that Bristol is a jealous, controlling bitch who broke up the friendship between Ben and Levi; and 6) that fame and fortune have gone to both Bristol's and Sarah's heads. Color me surprised-not.

One good thing came out of this. Ben backed up what Sadie was saying about Bristol calling the shots and not letting people talk to each other. He said she wouldn't let him talk to Levi when they were dating.

Hmmmm now what does that say about Sarah as a parent.......nothing good that's for sure.

ReplyDeleteRight on. It is not her sex life that matters but the fraud. If she had kept her sex special that would be one thing but she sells it and the kids she bares she uses as props. Now she and Levi want to go on and be TV stars based on their moosecrap. Her mother was bad enough. Bristol hits on the most vulnerable, she targets children Piper's age and up. I have a certain amount of concern for the base and ignorant but Bristol's con goes too far.
I am impressed with Ben after reading the article. I only had his other friends to gauge him by and I thought he must be a total loser like that poor John Chandler. Has he ever worked? He seems to be fine with going down in history as a possible FAS baby daddy and out of control alcoholic addict. If he was functioning he could have made himself some good money and gone to school in Hawaii long ago. Instead he ends up in an assault case and in jail. Can't find the court case, do you think Sarah pays him off by keeping his run ins with the law sealed? He does hang and drink/drug with girls under 18. Was he with Willow the night she lead her pals to do the $30,000?
So predictable. Everyone will say 'Bristol's pregnant' so in 3-4 weeks they can follow up with 'Bristol had an abortion.'

When your eldest daughter gets pregnant four times before the age of 20, that isn't exactly a sign that you're a truly caring and compassionate mom. In a clinical sense, it usually means the daughter is acting out due to abuse and/or severe dysfunction in the home.
A loving mother doesn't abandon her children to run the pseudo-media darling/political dumpling grifting campaign that Sarah's been involved in for years.
Her children have been crying out for attention and love and consistency for a very long time, and all Mama Grizzly does is continue to eat her young.

I would be hurt if my father kept a relationship going with my ex-boyfriend considering the break-up was so recent. Are Bristol's feelings ever considered here by her parents?

Levi, get a DNA test on any or all children that you intend to co-parent. Have a lawyer draw up a pre-nup contract for you stating that any income from photo shoots, including the engagement, wedding, Tripp and any other children be split 50/50 in the event of dissolution of marriage.

Use the money to go to school and learn something useful in order to earn a living. You have no skills other than appearing in front of cameras, and you can't keep that up forever. Ask Mel Gibson how that is working out. Seriously, get away and get an education. For the money they are paying for those cheesy photo spreads, you both can afford it.
And, if you really want to show that it's not the money that is making you sell your soul, ELOPE!

ReplyDeleteThe only "strategy" that is working brilliantly is the generation of money and notoriety for the Palin clan. Any political benefits to Palin are clearly not accumulating. Her polling numbers continue to decline. Don't confuse prurient interest with voter confidence or approval.
I'm not much interested in the Palin soap opera drama except to the extent that it shows that Sarah Palin's "family values" are shallow and tawdry, and that her apparent inability to even manage raising children with decent standards makes her even more unfit to be in positions of extensive political power and decision-making concerning other people's lives.
The voters have every right to know if political leaders have the integrity, intelligence, and moral convictions ("walk the walk, not just talk the talk') to make wise and moral decisions for the people who elect them. Sarah Palin only talks the talk. Her mess of a family life does not back up her talk (lies). Very damaging to her credibility.
I am happy for TriPP, but this story seems irrelevant to Babygate.

Levi knows more than his family does but Sarah has bought him back so we won't know what he knows, probably ever. Rex and Tank's promoting Levi made Levi some money and may have made Bristol want Levi back, but they can't tell what Levi told them.
Bristol's only relevant statement recently seems to be her saying that getting back together is good for their "children." If she's not pregnant with Levi's child now, what child other than TriPP is she talking about????
Also, the Knoxville transcripts will show if Fox News was right (make that "correct," since we know they are "right") that Bristol testified under oath that Kernell, before TriPP's birth, made public the pictures of her newborn.

Bristol lies as much as her mother. That article was all script and spin. She was also selling her mother as to run for President, didn't she like the idea? There was also the mean girl message on the refrigerator, she is real sick and vindictive. Almost all she says is a lie and it looks like it is the only way she knows to be. Lying is easy for her. I think she has severe psychiatric problems. Too bad, so sad that she is an adult and what happened with her parents is what happened. It is totally her responsibility to get help. No one can do it for her, people like her don't think they have problems and they don't seek help. In her case she will just keep making a fool of herself in public.
Hmm, in the next couple of months, will we get an apology from Ben to the Palins? Perhaps after the apology Bristol can get engaged to him and they can all live "Big Love" style -- Bris, Levi and Ben.

That report of him doing the spy photography for his paranoid mother makes me wonder about his IQ. I tried to find Johnny Chandler's assault arrest and why he went to jail, has anyone had any luck? If Track's tracks get covered by the Palins, you know Willow gets covered, then Track is likely being covered. He is not at all acting like other soldiers. The whole thing is so sad because people need to talk about what is happening to young men that go off to war. It is totally irresponsible of Sarah and Todd not to bring up PTSD and the situation that happened to April Morlock's husband. I am real sick of Sarah Palin's military rhetoric while she shows no heart about soldiers.

A last minute late arrival and she could steal Bristol's whole show. Now that Diana Palin is living in Anchorage and in favor with Bristol she will get an invite. The world will hate the Palins if they don't invite Sadie and Sherry and that is what Bristol's big day will be known for. That and how she makes stuff up and hides. Her mysterious weight issue is, of course, what puts this little wedding on the map.

In Wasilla, if you had to cut all your exes, your kids exes, your wife's exes, etc. out of your life, you simply wouldn't have any friends left.
I'm starting to get concerned about Bristol though. If she isn't pregnant, then what's causing the weight problem? Todd and Sarah are in their late forties and still slim.........you'd think she'd be able to keep the weight off pretty easily with those genes. My first baby at 33 caused me to gain 30 lbs., and I'd lost it all a month after the birth. My second at 39 took me six months. I thought that one of the few benefits of being a teenage mother was that your bod just snapped back into place like a rubber band? It's been 18 months and she's pretty dang chubby still. bt

Filming schedule on the reality show featuring Bristol and Levi and their newly wedded bliss is all askew right now. My media contacts were a little shocked to discover Bristol's, um, current condition, because they were being told that they could do a whole story arc with the two of them getting back together, the wedding, and THEN a new baby. So they are trying to figure out if they can do an abbreviated, five to six mini-series called Bristol and Levi (working title) and hide her latest pregnancy. And then pick up filming the rest of it AFTER she gives birth to this one, but fudge the timelines a little. A lot of pressure being applied by the powers that be to keep this latest pregnancy a secret. Still, it's about the worst kept secret in show business, given how Bristol is obviously a good ways along in this new photo shoot.
Ben Barber's new interview at Daily Beast is also throwing a good monkey wrench into the works. "People" are having a talk with him - as in, Sarah's people. If he retracts his story and goes underground, all can proceed as planned, we have the happy young family reality show, several networks are already interested. MTV seems to be the primary one right now but that could change at any time.
Stay tuned, folks! It's gonna be a bumpy ride.

could this situation possibly a set-up between ben and levi? ben gets her knocked up, then levi "returns to the fold" chastened and repentant, sweeps her off balance with rose petals and smallish bling. time betrays bristol's unabstinence and blows up in her face. levi is vindicated, knowing she was really just a trollop all along, and ben will feign shock and not want anything to do with bait baby... think reality show before and after...
ReplyDeleteThe weight fluctuation has been around at least since 2006 when photos public. And there are the rumors of her messing with diet pills and drug use. Some people just have issues with weight. Willow seems to be fluctuating a little as well, as she looks different everytime we see her. Sarah wasn't tiny in high school and just after and she herself has fluctuated give or take 10 lbs her whole life.

But it’s clear he respects the Palins—especially Todd, whom he described throughout the interview as “the coolest guy.” He said that Track and Todd had invited him to fish with them last weekend in Dillingham, but he couldn’t get out of work to meet up with them. Barber was in Wasilla with the family when they first found out the couple had reunited.
“[Bristol] never had a good relationship with her Mom and Dad, so not telling them (about the engagement) doesn’t surprise me. But I know the whole family isn’t happy about it. I was in town for a night and stopped by to see Todd and Track. They were furious.”
My theory: Levi and Rex were (unsurprisingly) unable to sell to TLC the moose-huntin', ice-fishin', snow- machinin', hockey-playin' good ol' AK boys reality show they envisioned.
ReplyDeleteThey went back with the idea of a Young AK Marrieds type show, starring Levi with the daughter of TLC's latest reality star Sarah Palin. Unable to resist the crossover publicity between the two shows, TLC said OK.
Then Levi had to approach and snag Bristol for the show. Fortunately for him, that obviously wasn't difficult; regardless of what she thought about him, those cable TV show dollar signs did the trick! Her abstinence gig wasn't nearly as successful - in more ways than one - as Bristol had dreamed.
So Levi and Bristol concocted this whole scheme whereby they are blissfully reunited and about to wed against family wishes, when they actually still can't stand each other and are only doing this for the bucks.
Bristol's giggling story of Levi arranging rose petals in a heart on her bed gave away the score. that was fiction - it was OVERkill.
They will do whatever they are required to do while the cameras are running. Then it's splitsville.

Why would Sarah publicly acknowledge someone who is in trouble with the law/armed forces? As we've seen, the media sucks and already made it worse I'm sure. The last thing the soldier's mother needs is more attention. NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO DO WITH THE PALINS
And you cannot blame a child actions directly on parental involvement. I have amazing parents, yet it only took 25 years to realize it for me. Give Bristol time. Shes living her roughest years in the public with morons like us commentary pointlessly. Their relationships aren't out business. Arguably, how Bristol conducts herself as an ambassador is.
Levi - wake up, do the math. Get a DNA test b4 you marry.
ReplyDelete3:58 PM : well said. It is important to the extent that these foolish dramas show Sarah's inability to do any job well - even motherhood. She seems to have quit on that a long time ago.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't go so far as to say "once a quitter, always a quitter," but there is no need - Sarah has always been a quitter - at least from college days onwards. It won't be hard to compile a little list.
I think the only reason Sarah is still with Todd is because of the money she is earning - that and because their divorce was predicted. Sarah wouldn't anyone else foretell her future if she can manipulate the variables.
Bristol lies repeatedly, is viciously jealous and vindictive. But what can we expect from a child raised as she was? There was no role modelling for the better qualities of life. Todd has cared for her some but not enough to offset the terrible harm by Sarah's pathology. She is no doubt starved for love and attention but does not know how to get them except through sex and manipulation no matter how stupid and mean. She may love Tripp but I fear she doesn't know how to love anyone yet. At 19, she needs to take a look at her life, separate from her parents, and take responsibility for becoming the person she would like to be, not the one she became through training and neglect. We can only speculate on the why's of this engagement, but one complex scenario, as someone else pointed out, is defiance of her mother side by side with a craving to win her mother's approval and love. If that's the case, there would be constant jockeying between acting out, and conniving with her mother. I think that's what we are seeing. I believe she is desparately unhappy, and that Levi may be a refuge for her. He has always had gentle words about her, and may want to help her. Unfortunately, he buys into the wicked idea of separating himself from his mother and sister so hurtfully and so unnecessarily. Bristol honey, do you want to become your mother? You see her better than we do. Is that what you want? If you want better things in your life, things such as peace, gentleness, self confidence, trust and love, then ask for help in learning how to live better. With help, set yourself a new course away from what you learned at home; pay attention and learn new ways to be with people. In turn you will be cared for in a way I think you have been crying for. I think you can see what will happen to you - and to Tripp - if you don't change directions. But with help and your own efforts, you can do it.

The fact that Ben Barber had to ask her if she was pregnant shows that they were NOT abstinent.

ReplyDeleteBut darn! Bristol sure looks pregnant in it. So there is a group (I'm one of that group) who are suspicious that it shows Bristol pregnant with a baby b4 Trig (therefore the first of now 4 pregnancies).
Ben Barber shows a very good side of Wasilla. A very sincere and open man. I would hate to learn he is intimidated and loses his freedom. I hope and pray that his community supports him. Wasilla needs more representation by honorable well spoken citizens.

Is the public being asked to believe that Bristol & Levi worked out the reality show plans with no help from Sarah? If Sarah knew about the reality show, then the engagement shouldn't have been a surprise.
ReplyDeleteWhen Bristle stops doing photo shoots for national magazines and stops giving interviews on national tv, then we will consider the possibility that her life is none of our business. Until then, she's just tabloid fodder. She chose that role. Now she lives it.

Hopefully that is what you wanted. He also has 2 other incidents, one for having cigarettes (whoopie) as a minor, and once when he was young at about 8 or 9. Parental fight it looked like. Nothing else of any importance with him.

And true, she set herself up by taking money for abstinence ads, but I think people are being a little harsh, and, quite frankly, a little 1950's sexist in saying things about how she spreads her legs...It's irrelevant.

Something that just smacks me in the face with all this sharing of body fluids between friends is getting tested for STD's. Maybe the kids in Alaska never heard of the term but it's time to introduce them to it.
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be a cavalier attitude towards sex and consequences. Where are the parents, doctors and community to help educate these kids.
I'm gonna be honestand say I didnt tell my parents about my engagement or that I found my birth mother (even though I dont speak to her to date). And this has nothing to do with what kind of parents they are - I grew up happy and healthy with a good head on my shoulders and have never had a bad relationship with anyone.
ReplyDeleteLots of teenagers/young adults are promiscuous. That's pretty common. Bristle and Levi are no exception. We get that. But. It is the juxtaposition with all this abstinence talk, apparently no birth control used in that family for multiple generations, multiple generations getting married with buns in ovens, talk about personal responsibility and family first, people being paid for being unwed revirginated moms, a 19 year old talking about a "memoir," both Bristle and Levi selling themselves because they were too dumb to use birth control or actually live the abstinence talk, this entire new episode that shows they are still both idiots, ol' mama grizzly running around touting family and abstinence (not that she has ever lived her words). It's the whole big, trashy package. They are not relevant to anything actually worth discussing in our country. They are merely an unpaid "reality" show. Balloon Boy's dad is probably really annoyed that he went with losing his kid in a balloon instead of having all his kids get preggers or vandalize stuff.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing I believe though, is that Sarah isn't running the Bristle show. She is certainly trying to control it, but she has an older daughter who is too much like her. Stupid, completely lacking in maturity, practiced liar and rationalizer, wants things she hasn't earned by hard work, schemer, narcissist. Just as we know Sarah fought with her father and wanted to "show him" that she was better than everybody else, so goes Bristle. The idea that Sarah is choreographing this is as silly as the idea that Alaskan bloggers are paid operatives of Obama. Don't need a complicated conspiracy here. This is just a bunch of low lifes acting like low lifes. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one.
The free haircut that Levi asked his mother for? I think that at the last minute either Bristol or the photog said, geez Levi, you need a haircut before we can do this photo shoot,and Sherry was the quickest way to get it done.
ReplyDeleteTrack's story will probably never be revealed, like other military miscreants with connections. McCain got out of all his problems. I have a right wing neighbor with a son who was in military trouble and they wiped out his crimes and covered for him. If what goes on with Track was known it would take her down. I don't think the people of Wasilla care, they just want to protect Mama Grizzly.

Did you see the funny picture of Bristol lounging in some geek toga outfit with Little Abner in the background? This is what happens when white trash gets too much money too fast. It does look like a reality show try out. As bad as Sarah's taste is I don't think she would have allowed that disastrous photo.

It is looking like Rex Butler is still in the mix. Is Van Flein still representing Bristol and working with Butler? That could be interesting.
Personally, I think Todd engineered the whole thing. Everyone else gets trashed or outed for talking trash, but The Toddster, he's "cool."

If Levi is on medications for anxiety or other his brain is a blur. He mumbles like too much Oxy or something along those lines.
In Bristol's dim little head, when she was told she needed to "practice abstinence," she thought this was like "practicing the piano" - you know, something you do for just a few hours a week. She's still practicing it once in a while. She's just not very good at it!

There was a segment on the Today show that seemed to point rather clearly that S'error got the apology and then things were worked out about future plans.
It's part of the show--this engagement thing.
I'd keep my eyes open for any type of possibility occurring in this performance of the Palin Circus of Fools. As a previous comment reads, this could be a distraction for a slow news cycle. Hmm...anything else? I know it's way out there, but keep tabs on Willow. Just sayin' that the family who covers up pregnancies up for each other...

Sister Scarah had better get out her maternity outfits--she has another pregnancy to cover up. It used to be that you looked at a family like the Palins and wondered why they were so dysfunctional. Now the Diva's loyal followers exclaim that this all shows that she should be President! The Palins are a joke all around the world.
ReplyDeleteIf Bristol and Levi go to US Magazine and demand $100,000 for a story about getting engaged behind Sarah's back; and then Bristol also goes to People and demands big bucks for an exclusive interview about how she and Levi are thinking about getting back together--why doesn't this scream FRAUD or LIAR or SCAM! Both of these magazines have been used--two greedy people who will do or say anything to get big money. Why get a real job or your high school degree when magazines will publish whatever fiction you spoon feed them? The two are alltime lowlifes--making up stories to get Sarah some attention and to give them money for drugs. Someone has to stop these two celebrity wantobees from just making up stories. Next week will be a $200,000 story about how Bristol is pregnant and needs help figuring out who the father is. The Palins are laughing all the way to the bank.
ReplyDeleteMama Bears usually spend time with their cubs. Obviously, Sarah found it more profitable to spend her time deciding what women she should endorse for the upcoming elections. Her kids are out of control and Sarah has no desire to help them--why should we listen to her descriptions about the high standards of Mama Grizzlies and pit bulls and barracudas when Scarah is just a phony. Watch out for the Wasilla snake.
