Please Join Sarah Palin as she hosts an "Evening of Hope!" (Hope that we can fill the stadium seats that is!)

Next Thursday, on August the 26th, Sister Sarah is booked to fill the seats of the Moran Theatre in the Union Center for the Performing Arts. Here is the very impressive poster advertising this magical night.

"One Amazing Night!" Did you read that?  Can't you just feel your skin tingling with excitement?

No?

Well you are not alone. According to the Florida Times Union there is a slight bump on the road to the "Evening of Hope."

Slow ticket sales have bumped Sarah Palin's appearance next week in Jacksonville to a smaller venue.

"An Evening of Hope with Sarah Palin" was moved from the 2,936-seat Moran Theatre to the 609-seat Terry Theatre. Both theaters are part of the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts.

Mark Nelson, Florida director for Heroic Media, said the event was moved to the Terry Theatre because there weren't enough tickets sold to hold it in the larger Moran.

Oooh THAT is kind of embarrassing!  So of course you know I have to ask; How is that "Hopey Evening" thing working out for you Sarah?

Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Embarrassing? I'd be mortified. And with such cheap tickets, no less!

Sarah, I guess Florida just isn't that into you.

One amazing night of garbled syntax, religious intolerance, dog whistle racism, presidential bashing and continual stalking. To top the evening off there will be out and out lies, hate filled screeching followed by her slobbering whining that liberals want to molest her children and destroy her constitutional rights to make money . . . .

Hmmmm, sounds absolutely nauseating---yet so very Palin.

OMG. I Just realized that the link you offered Gryphen took us to an ENTERTAINMENT section. And that is where everything Sarah Palin does or says should end up. Of course it's bad entertainment--but nonetheless.

Note the text at the bottom of the poster -- THEY MISSPELLED HER NAME. Yep, Sarah Paling, right there in maroon and white!

Is it Karma or what? Can't fill the 'Moran' theater (TP speak).... bwahahahahahah!

Another great article about the 'Heroes' of hope.

  7. Maybe if they'd spelled it Palin instead of Paling? Or would that have driven sales down even further?

Did you catch the typo on the show flyer? "Our Keynote Speaker is former Alaska Governor Sarah PALING."

    ROFLMAO !!

Couldn't happen to a worse person. Glad to hear that interest is waning. Once her money stream dries up - Bachmann is hauling in more than Sister Sarah - she has nothing.

Just heard "Dr." Laura is quitting her radio show at the end of the year when her contract is through.

Her reason? She wants to move on to something where her First Amendment rights aren't suppressed. Gee, she's adopting the Sarah Palin Victim mantle.

CNN said this morning that "Dr.Laura is the third most powerful and listened to radio personality in our history - right after Limbaugh and Hannity!

I think your previous post question about who's to blame for this country's renewed racist and religious fear-mongering is fed by these three along with Palin, Beck and the rest.

I say good riddance to Palin - her star does seem to be waning. Once the money goes (unless Murdoch or Beck continues to underwrite her), she goes.

Of course, there is always Franklin Graham, but I think he follows money, too.

Want to send Sarah a message that you've had enough of her hate-mongering?

Go to sarahdoesntspeakforme.com and sign the pledge.

It sends a message that she and the candidates she endorses are extremists who you stand against.

The pledge is get out and vote against these kinds of candidates.

Plus, the site has a funny ad about Mama Grizzlies.

Vent here. Sign the pledge there!

Look closely at the flyer at the bottom. Did they spell her name wrong the first time "Paling"? I can't see it that well.

I grew up in Jacksonville, so am proud they can't fill a 3,000 seat theater.

We all know that her speech of hope will turn into snipping, lies and hatred.

  13. It doesn't say how many $100 tickets were sold but even if they were ALL $100 tickets, which they aren't, the grand total income would be $60,900. Not even enough to cover the quitter's fee. Sorry Jacksonville, you got screwed big time.

Oops, Freudian slip -- "former Governor of Alaska Sarah Paling" is appropriate given the need to change to a smaller venue. She really is paling!

  16. Does the blurb really call her Sarah Paling? Ha!

If tickets sales fail to fill even the new smaller venue, I would be willing to host this one amazing night in my basement, also, too. I have a couple of card tables, some lawn chairs plus the chairs from the dining room set. (Dont worry, Sarah, I promise you wont have to sit in the chair with the wonky leg) I could make some Lipton onion soup mix/sour cream dip for a snack. If someone could lend me another pitcher I could even have two flavors of Kool-Aid to serve. And if there's less than 10 people coming I would make s'mores! (just a thought, tho, I bet you could get a better turnout if you lowered the ticket price from $50/$100 to "free admission if you bring a can of food for the homeless") C'mon, Sarah, this will be fun! Call me!!!

600 x 50 is a mere 30k. Lookes like that hopey thing is leaving somebody in a big hole.

Sarahis like a Slinkie - not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see her tumble down the stairs.

I laughed at the typo with Sarah's last name!

Here's something else that looked funny to me: the stylized 'H' logo for "Heroic Media" just under the three photos looks like a diagram of a b*tthole.

Graphic artists notice these things...I guess they were trying to save money on the poster.

The pitbull is turning into a tea-cup poodle.

This is it. The downturn time is here for Sarah Palin riding on the VP nominee wave. She can't ride on those coattails any longer. It's up to her credentials now. She's going to have to buck up and show some substance, which is doubtful to be there.

I'm glad to read this news. I hope Quitty insisted on a private jet, or first class travel, and at least two private suites at a swanky hotel for her entourage, PLUS her inflated speaking fee.

Of course, she needs to be escorted by several security guards, in case she has to speak to a disapproving teacher.

Yes, I hope her sponsors have to settle for the honor of her presence, rather than make any money on this deal.

Glad to hear about "Dr." Laura as well. I honestly enjoyed listening to her show years ago, but she has gotten increasingly harshly judgmental - even cruel at times.

She has a second career waiting as a dominatrix for people who enjoy being verbally abused.

It's really too bad that the Moran theater didn't work out. The fans would've felt so at home there, seeing as they themselves ARE "morans". What a shame.

Well, I'm sure Former Governor Paling will give a really awesome speech the Terry theater. LOL.

Not enough "morans" to fill the Moran theater! LOL!

and they misspelled her name??? HAHAHAHAHAHA! I bet she pulls the plug & says it's not breech of contract b/c it wasn't really her.

    MORE BAD NEWS!

An Evening of Hope with Sarah Palin" was moved from the 2,936-seat Moran Theatre to the 609-seat Terry Theatre. However if they do not sell 600 tickets for the Terry Theatre, plans are that they will move the event to Joan Karley's garage which has a seating capacity for about 15 people.

  33. emrysa10:01 AM

hahahaa, from 3000 seats to 600. that means they haven't even sold 600 tickets.

oh, but she's so popular that she's representin' the entire united states, ya know! lmao

    ReplyDelete
  34. Anonymous10:18 AM

If you go to the venue website, or even to the Ticketmaster website, they both say "tickets not available" without giving a reason. Hmmmmmmm.

    ReplyDelete
  35. It seems the crowds are shrinking
    although Paling's (oops..Palin's)
first big gig speaking at the Tea Bag convention drew around six hundred. If the speaker can't fill the venue then the speaker can't command their fee.

The good thing about this for our country is that fewer people will be exposed to Pants on Fire to Liar of the year posturing as an innocent mom aka grizzly with Piper and Trig (cubs) by her side as she smiles lying through her teeth. I am all for anyone making an honest living or billions honestly.

Did anyone see Blago playing his victim act garbage that the state wants to spend "tens of millions of dollars to persecute him" instead of helping (innocent children etc). I laughed thinking he sounds like Palin about her ethics charges spinning numbers out there spewing fiction so she be the star she is the victim.

Perhaps more people have heard and seen enough of Palin that she has nothing more to offer. There is no depth to her. Let's see what the reality show hopey thing works for her and her new book. I wonder if the tabloid trash of this summer and past will stack up to her book of "values". If the speaking gigs slack off Bristol and Levi can create a new drama or maybe Sarah can make more money going after Jews. Heck..anyone different will suffice to get attention!

I live in Jacksonville. It's a conservative Republican city. For her not to be able to even come close to selling 2,000 tickets in friendly territory is PATHETIC.

Looks like her star is fading.

    ReplyDelete
  38. But, but....how are they possibly going to pay her $150,000 speaking fee with only 600 tickets at $50 each?
