Fellow Alaskan blogger, and staunch Republican, Andrew Halcro identifies who HE would vote for in a matchup between Joe the Teabagger and Democrat Scott McAdams.

I don't agree with Halcro too many issues but he guy knows his Alaskan  politics and what he sees in Joe Miller is something that bothers him very deeply.

In my opinion the REAL Republicans in Alaska should follow Halcro's lead and run, not walk, to the polls to vote for Scott McAdams in the general election.  At least he understands the needs of Alaskans, and is not pandering to a group of angry Teabaggers living in the Lower 48.

BTW if you want to see Andrew's full interview on Moore up North please click here  for part one and here for part two.

I'm fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I agree with Miller's views on not bailing out banks and other similar issues....HOWEVER, the guy is a genuine nutcase who won't take accountability for his words and actions. Another Palinese bully.

I do not want a religious fanatic like Miller making the laws for this nation. I'll be voting for McAdams who is clearly saner but not my first choice.

Did Joe say he was a disabled veteran?
Did he say he won a Purple Heart?

If not, do they give Purple Hearts for mental disabilities? Nothing wrong with that as long as it is fully disclosed, and if he is fully recovered that he no longer receiving government funds for a condition he no longer has.

Andrew Halcro and I agree on very little. However, I appreciate his thoughtful opinions and respectful demeanor. He has a lot of class. While we may disagree, he is willing to stand up for and speak out for what he believes. He always gets his ducks in a row before he opens his mouth and never -as far as I know - engages in ad hominem attacks.

Dede endorsed the Democratic candidate in the NY 23rd. A lot of Republicans voted for Owens.

I was very proud to be a Republican on that day.

If Lisa has any moral courage left she will endorse McAdam's.She has nothing to lose but the respect of her supporters if she goes with Miller.

Mr. Halco has it right. To vote solely on the basis of who has an R or a D after their name is not a wise strategy. People need to vote for who will do the best job for Alaska and the country and sometimes given the choices that means you vote outside your party affiliation. The term for a US Senator is SIX YEARS. Thinks about that - Joe Miller for SIX YEARS?

Appreciated Shannyn's little comment at the end of the short clip. "We already have one crazy celebrity out there, we don't need another one" (Joe Miller). Is she setting the record straight after her business with to Gross? After all else is said and done, she indeed considers SP a crazy celeb?

Man, I think we're on the verge of something totally exiting. One of two things will happen in 2011:

One, the GOP will make small gains, pat themselves on the back publicly then implode behind the scenes. Because, really, if they don't take back at least one house, some heads should roll. The question is whose head. Aside from Steele's. (We all know they like to blame brown people for all their problems.)

Two, the GOP takes both houses, and then are sacked with a bunch of nutballs like Sharon Angle and Joe Miller who have some views that are really out of the mainstream. Their success is owed not to the party machine but to their "independent" streak. IE, they're crazy. Maybe they'll be good little boys and girls and toe the party line...but...it kind of seems like they're a bunch of timebombs...and will have their own rules for playing the game. In which case...Barack Obama will have a good time playing divide and conquer, and the GOP will implode. Some of these tea party people, I can see them taking umbrage if 100 percent of their ideas aren't accepted and forming their own little caucaus/party. I'm almost rooting for that. Guess I still have a 90's grunge girl anarchy streak in me.

Just the SINGLE issue alone is enough to expect ALL Alaskans to vote for anyone OTHER than the nutcase who wants to turn back the tide of federal monies paid to the state.

Its INSANE that this moron feels Alaskans should shun such funds...in any normal election, (like it USED to be, where if someone said something this crazy, his chances became ZERO overnight) this wouldn't even be an issue...the guy would never be heard from again.

Same with that tinfoil hat wearing weirdo in Nevada, Sharron Angle...the fact that polls show her neck and neck with a mature, actual person, with experience in politics, after claiming everything short of being abducted by Martians, and anally probed, is a frightening statement about American voters in 2010.
