He is getting much more natural. And he certainly has a clear understanding of the issues.
Update: I should have done this earlier, but if YOU want to help Scott McAdams trounce Sarah Palin's Teabagging butt boy Joe Miller then take a moment to visit Act Blue and donate to Scott's campaign fund.
And if you need more incentive to donate, just take a moment to picture Sarah Palin's face on the day that she learns her endorsement was instrumental in helping Alaska to have TWO Democrats representing them in the Senate. I imagine it will look something like this:
Or perhaps this:
The SECOND I read that Murkowski conceded I rolled out of bed (in the middle of the night, I might add) and found McAdams Donate button.
ReplyDeleteScott sounds like more the rill dill than Palin.
I donated to ActBlue for McAdams. Perhaps, those anonymous people who helped with the Vanity Fair article, can show their silent support by helping McAdams get elected. :-) And be sure to vote and bring all your friends. Isn't Miller a Palin clone?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this guy. Alaska should too. He knows his stuff and can actually articulate it in a plain-speaking, honest, factual, and persuasive way. This guy sounds naturally smart.
ReplyDeleteOnly blind ideology (or Sarah worship) would keep any voter from stepping over Slicky Joe to beat a door to Scott McAdams.
Hey, have we all shown Gryphen some love lately?
ReplyDeleteDon't be a Palin; tip the little guy!
oops, I meant "beat a PATH to Scott McAdams DOOR."
ReplyDeleteScott, delicious irony, YES!
ReplyDeleteBut even better, inevitable KARMA!
I gave $15 to McAdams through ActBlue yesterday, in honor of Michael Gross and Vanity Fair.
ReplyDeleteThis guy is really smart. He will make a great common sense Senator.
ReplyDeleteHe is the ril dill.
Love the $arah is supporting the Ivy League lawyer. I'll be using that.
Yes- Don't think your $20 donation doesn't matter. 5,000 people times $20= $100,000.
ReplyDeleteCollege kids donated one latte worth ($5) EVERY week to Obama's campaign. He raised an unprecedented amount of campaign funds. It adds up. And you can use your credit card. Think of it as an investment in your future!
I love what Scott McAdams has to say. If I were an Alaskan, my choice would be very easy. I donated to his campaign via Act Blue and it felt GOOD!!! Thanks Gryph for all you do!
ReplyDeleteThe other night when I contributed to Scott through ActBlue, there were 900 of us. Now there are nearly 1,300. Let's keep it up. There is no one more deserving.
ReplyDeleteHey, are those moneybags hanging from her ears? Bit too obvious, Sarah, dial it back a bit.
ReplyDeleteHey there Gryphen -
ReplyDeleteSorry, a bit OT, but.... What is the deal with the Beck-Palin 9/11/2010 show up there?? Do you know what's happening? It would be GREAT if you could break this story before it happens!!!!
Conscious at last!
Excellent clips. McAdams is calm, clear and concise. He will represent Alaska in way that every Alaskan be proud of and relax with, knowing he is a rational guy.
ReplyDeleteIf you know anyone who says he or she will vote for McAdams, be sure to show them the photo of Joe Miller holding his wife's neck - yes, neck - while he chats on his cell. You will find the creepy photo over at themudflats.net under Sept. 2nd's posting called "S)he Who Counts the Vote."
Joe Miller comes across as a domineering control freak. Read the comments - men and women agree there is something not cool about his body language as he interacts with his wife and then ask those folks if they want someone like that representing Alaska.
Can almost guarantee they will prefer McAdams as well they should.
Is it bad to hope Sarah's freezes the way it looks in the second paragraph?
ReplyDeleteBecause, actually, I do.
OT - I'm curious to know if the tickets for the Beck/Palin bonanza in Alaska are selling? If so, if she is so despised there, then who is buying them?
ReplyDeleteHey where was Jan Brewer's cojones during this debate? Another thing screech was wrong about. I can only hope that as Palin careens towards menopause, she is going to have some moments like this!

OT: Todd Speaks...
ReplyDeleteAnd the article pretty much proves everything the Vanity Fair article said, if you read between the lines.

How can people possibly support the DEMS? NExt year, there's going to be a 5% tax increase for everyone - far more than the CLinton admin. Ugh Im moving to canada until 2012
ReplyDeleteI donated $25 last night in honor of the Vanity Fair article about Palin. I really hope McAdams can pull this off as Miller is acting as if he's already won the Senate seat in his interviews.

ReplyDeleteSarah Palin is a woman who is not like the stereotypically soft, submissive lady. She stands up to wrongful, evil government and calls out scandalous, bad boy politicans. If I were Barack Obama, I'd be shaking in my $500 loafers, before I'd commit suicide for wrongfully accusing Goldman Sachs of scandalous activity.

ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Poutine. :)
Alaska Republican Joe Miller is telling his supporters that he is refusing to take corporate and out-of-state money, yet the Tea-Party-backed candidate has hired a prominent K Street fundraiser to help with his bid for the Senate.
ReplyDeleteMiller, to date, has relied extensively on the Lord to raise funds for his Senate run, his campaign told supporters in an email sent Sunday evening that was obtained by HuffPost.
"So far the Lord has always provided the money in this grass roots campaign, and this time God is going to use you to provide!" Miller's campaign told supporters, inviting them to attend a fundraiser with Miller and his wife. "It cost alot of money to run a clean campaign and we all know that Joe's campaign isn't receiving any monies from corporations or from out of State entities."
That pledge, however, runs counter to news, broken by Roll Call, that Miller has hired Mike Gula, a high-powered Washington fundraiser with The Gula Graham Group. K Street will now be supplementing the Lord's work. "Gula is in the process of assembling a K Street steering committee on behalf of the Miller campaign, and sources say he would not have taken Miller on if he didn't think he could raise political action committee money for him," Roll Call reported Friday. Gula and Miller did not immediately return calls requesting comment.

to 10:45 AM, if you think that excerpt or whole article proves anything about anything, you're precisely the reason journalism is so fucked up today. The fact that Gross uses anonymous bellhops and such proves he's a pussy. Especially since there are documented interviews with hotel employees and beauticians say Palin is one of the most gracious people and tippers they've met. Look them up, Peoria IL is one off the top of my head. Most politicians 1. would never go to a small town beauty parlour 2. graciously have their picture taken and shoot the shit for hours 3. have a hotel ship in their favorite mocha moose coffee. No, Sarah Palin is a wonderful human being and a ball buster. Whoever denies she's a feminist truly doesn't believe in the term or ideology. What other woman, besides Hillary CLinton has had shit thrown from all directions at her YET continues to forge ahead? Sarahm like most good Americans sees through Barack Obama. And HE WILL BE STOPPED
ReplyDeleteScott McAdams was interviewed on The Thom Hartmann Show this afternoon. He sounded much more confident, spoke clearly and came across as sincere and knowledgeable. It's great to see Scott getting some press in the lower 48.
ReplyDeleteI hope he wins!
People keep saying Sarah's the biggest train wreck. WEll I think this takes that cake

Hey- to the brilliant economist
ReplyDelete@ 11:29
Do you love your freedoms? Well if you want to have the freedom to keep cheering on wars-- like in Afghanistan, that costs! You are OK when we spend our taxes on wars, aren't you? -- It's just when we use public funds for education and health, roads and bridges that you have a problem- right ? WAKE UP!!

12:03, That Gina Louden piece is astonishing. Aside from it's hysterical and shrill tone, it is more shallow journalism than the VF piece she attempts to bring down.
ReplyDeleteLouden apparently misses the delicious irony that it is SHE who is misrepresenting the VF article.
To start with, all the things she claims were "attacked" were actually only "mentioned." Big difference. He "attacked" Palin's shoes? Her underwear?
She also now claims she remembers Gross and "the hint of something" she "didn't trust in his eyes."
What melodrama!
Louden is also a narcissist in the grand tradition of Palin: she assumes her opinion should carry more weight than that of the likely hundreds of people Gross spoke with.
Louden, you are a liar! and your desperate attempt to deflect criticism of Palin is just that. YOU are gross.
1:19, *yawn*
ReplyDeleteuh, oh, and, bullshit.
Wow, the little trolls think they've found a bridge to hide under and make grunting sounds.
ReplyDeleteGosh, Gryphen, you know you are on to something good when they show up.
May McAdams win and save the Alaskans who think Joe is the answer from themselves. They'd better look to see what the Koch brothers want from Joe because they're buying him, lock, stock and barrel.
No anon 3:02, you are gross. also, you are filled with so much hate and contempt that it blinds you from seeing happiness and goodwill. That woman shared multiple amazing mom moments with Sarah, as have I, and it it with her that I continue to combat insipid ingrates who wish to see nothing but Obama-influenced reality. Good luck with that btw
ReplyDelete@1:19 rants: " Whoever denies she's a feminist truly doesn't believe in the term or ideology. What other woman, besides Hillary CLinton has had shit thrown from all directions at her YET continues to forge ahead?"
ReplyDeleteSpeaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Governor Jennifer Granholm, Senator Barbara Boxer, Senator Diane Feinstein, Senator Olympia Snowe, Senator Susan Collins--you know serious women politicians with titles and elected jobs that they have not quit.
Palin a feminist? Only if you think it means "Christian" moms using dirty sex talk on Twitter.
McAdams and Alvin Green from South Carolina should join the coffee party
