From Yahoo news:
First, reporters discovered that Delaware GOP Senate nominee Christine O'Donnell did not attend Oxford University, despite her claims to the contrary. And now Claremont Graduate University says O'Donnell never attended its institution.
"Claremont Graduate University has no student or education record for an individual named Christine O'Donnell," a school spokesman told Christina Bellantoni of Talking Points Memo, who confirmed Gary Scott's blog report.
As of Wednesday morning, O'Donnell still listed "Claremont Graduate University" in the education section of her LinkedIn Page.
So we have Christine O'Donnell lying about going to college, Joe Miller fudging the facts about taking farm subsidies and lying about traffic accidents, Jan Brewer lying about law enforcement finding headless bodies along the border, and Sharron Angle seems to never stop lying.
And these are the people that the Teabaggers, who refer to themselves as "We the people." are fighting to elect? I guess this new strain of Republican is much like the old one, as long as they spout the proper talking points, honesty and integrity are just not that important.
OT, but so important.
ReplyDeleteLet's get the 'G' man to DC!
*
Gryphen hasn't weighed in on whether he is heading to DC for Jon Stewart's rally.
We want him to go, yes? Do we need to help him get a ticket? Should he take his daughter? We need his boots on the ground report, don't we?
I declare a 'Let's get G (and his little girl) to Washington' Campaign, (if, of course, he wants to go.)
He works hard for us, he gets important, relevant information out into the cybersphere on SP and JM and CO and RP and all the twisted and delusional characters out there. He makes us laugh really hard, he sometimes makes us cry. He touches our hearts and he feeds our intelligence.
He NEEDS to be in Washington DC to rally even MORE troops, inform even more people about the goings on in Alaska. It's a huge opportunity to get the word out, to bust SP on her lies and obfuscations and to come back and tell us all about it. What do you say? Should we get him on that plane? I say YES! Let's send him with flyers and pictures and A WHOLE LOT OF FACTS to disseminate to the rest of the 'sane' people there. He's the one to do it!
And maybe he can take his photographer friend along as well, to record the entire event. If everyone put a few bucks in, we'll have a ticket (or two) in no time. I'm sure one of his loyal readers in the area would be happy to host him for a few nights. LET'S DO IT! Let's get the 'G' man to DC!
Yesterday I read a piece in HuffPo about the fact that reputable news orgs can't even correct politicians' lies anymore. They lie so frequently that "lying politician" isn't considered "news."
ReplyDeleteYep, as Matt Taibbi succinctly noted in his recent article about these creatures, they're "full of shit."
ReplyDeleteIt's so ridiculous to lie about education! That's one of the easiest things to disprove.
ReplyDeleteThey're not just liars, they're big dumb-azz liars.
Not only is lying a prerequisite, there is also cheating, grifting hypocrisy and bigotry. Nice bunch of values don't you think?
ReplyDeleteTeabaggers would probably prefer not to have to tell so many lies, but they really, really, really want their country back.
ReplyDeleteChristine is probably a high school dropout. Watch and see.
ReplyDelete"THEM" the people are delusional. And that explains that. Their meds, PLEASEe?!!!!
ReplyDeleteLiars as well as being delusional with illusions of granduer. It is a requirement.
ReplyDeleteANON@3:05PM said"Not only is lying a prerequisite, there is also cheating, grifting hypocrisy and bigotry. Nice bunch of values don't you think?"
ReplyDeleteDon't forget sexual phobias.
Nah. Its a prereq that all politicians and journalists be lying, self-serving hypocrits. And I mean all of them
ReplyDeleteJust think. If the MSM actually did their jobs objectively, no one, dem or rep, would escape being called a lying douchebag.
ReplyDeleteMiller has not filed a personal finance disclosure as a candidate for the U.S. Senate, as required by law. According to Title I of the Ethics in Government Act of 1978 and Senate Rule 41.1, candidates for U.S. Senate must file a disclosure form within 30 days of raising or spending $5,000. According to the Federal Elections Committee, Miller raised well over $5,000 as early as April of this year.
ReplyDeleteSeems like Joe doesn't like to play by the rules. Are rules only for others?
c'mon G - go to DC! I STILL don't have a room, but you can hang w/ us - I think we'll be in Alexandria or Arlington. We could have an IM after party - how much fun would that be??!!! (esp. in old town Alexandria?!)
ReplyDeleteT
They are all delusional so, yeah they lie to themselves, why stop there .
ReplyDeleteIf any of these idiots are elected, I will honestly think those voters in the various states (to include my own - Alaska) have lost it.
ReplyDeleteWhy is such out and out lying and care of their fellow citizens no longer important?
I am so proud of President Obama and appreciate everything he is trying to do for all of us. It's wonderful seeing him on the campaign trail and I hope the "D" party gets behind him again. We can maintain the majority in Congress and I'll bet we do.
. . . and Meg Whitman employing, and stupidly mistreating, an undocumented housekeeper. The lady now has Gloria Allred as her lawyer. Get the popcorn.
ReplyDeleteShe is not lying if she believes her own lies. She is honestly delusional.
ReplyDeleteDeja Vu Arianna Huffington
inconvenient timing
As long as they hide behind their flags and Bibles their lies will be excused, what a bunch of hypocrites!
ReplyDeleteI think CNN or MSNBC should create a fact checking program (besides Rachel Maddows that does it so well) that airs a couple times each day and continually fact checks the claims, news and noise coming out from politicians and the media.
It might squash pundits' BS quickly and put it in the correct context, instead of letting Fox blab about nonsense continually until they've brainwashed all their viewers that it's factual.
It would be the FACT CHECK show that everyone could turn to for the truth and people would stop getting away with all their lies.
Grifters on the Government they hate.
ReplyDeleteHYPOCRITES! Damn it.

I know that the title of this post is meant to be funny, and it is.
ReplyDeleteBUT, at the same time, since the Tea Party is the political expression of the collective right wing nervous breakdown/psychotic break with reality, I think the answer to the question is YES!
"Is it a prerequisite that ALL Teabagger candidates must be liars?"
ReplyDeleteEasy---the answer is HELL yes!!!

~~Again....HELL yes!
Gryphen, I'm surprised at you. Using an old-fashioned word like "liars"? This is the 21st century! Even "delusional" is passe! These people inhabit an alternative reality -- it's real to them, so accept it! Embrace reality diversity!
ReplyDeleteShe wouldn't lie to Nazis about a Jew in her attic - but she lies about what schools she's attended?
