It looks like the level of maturity inherent in the campaigns of the two Republicans running for the Senate in Alaska is right around the pre-school level.

So first we had Joe Miller's supporters put forth this rather ugly political ad aimed at Lisa Murkowski.

Which the Murkowski supporters have now responded to with this fairly immature advertisement of their own.

The next thing you know Joe Miller will tell everybody that Murkowski has cooties and Lisa will call him a doo-doo head while she is chasing him around the monkey bars at recess.

Now just for contrast take another look at the ad put out by the only Democrat in the race.

Now my fellow Alaskans ask yourself this, wouldn't you rather have the only grown up in this race representing you in Washington? I know I would!

If you are looking for even more reasons to vote for Scott McAdams then head on over to the Daily Kos and prepare to be impressed.

Why is Bristol posing in an ad for Lisa Murkowski? I thought the Palin's supported Miller?

o/t Tom Van Flein talks to radios Mark and Bob Bristol was working. It's just like the "so-called boo-gate." VF talks about the Palins being loved in the lower 48 and how the locals are the worst critics. This is another example of when the media twists things and how they attack the Palins. Bristol has been damaged.

IMO the whole Nachogate more good publicity for Bristol. She will be found to only pig out on the nachos and the media and ABC are the bad guys.

The girl behind Bristol is the one I am 99% sure I recognize she is the one who needs to be investigated. She is not 21 and what is she drinking? Rum Runners is a restaurant but they are not to serve alcohol to anyone under 21.

I really hope AKers wake up and see that McAdams really is their best bet. He seems to be the only candidate that cares about Alaskans and not just the power and glory of being in politics.

Obviously Miller feels Lisa is the bigger threat to him winning the election than McAdams.

Lets send some more bucks thru McAdams website or ActBlue!!

I've kicked in $100. so far

Great post Gryphen. The problem is that there are no adults in the Republican Party. Love the contrast you show with McAdams ad. I don't live in AK, but wish you all the best and hope your citizen do the right thing.

That is pretty strange about who is in the picture with the nacho eating Bristol. Gryph, can you get a positive ID? You don't have to acknowledge who it is but FYI. I don't think the state will take the investigation that serious. Why would they? All of a sudden the Palins have lost their influence? No one in Bristol's posse would cause a bust at Track's hang out. I'd mention it to the Alaskan Dispatch but they are not going to want to say anything.

Preschooler level is not FAIR. Preschoolers practice being nice!

Miller's Spoiled Princess was written by 12 year olds and Murkowski's was written by clever 16 year olds. Both were probably hired out of state to direct and produce.

Adams' was written by Alaskans who love the state and are proud of it.

While I am very impressed by Scott,I have to point out that the "had a farm" video does not say anywhere that it is approved by Lisa Murkowski.Blaming here for it is wrong.

I read today that polls show Miller with 38%, Murkowski with 36%, and McAdams with 22%.

Being from a blue state, the 22% is a bitter pill to swallow. But being 14 points behind a write-in candidate blows my mind. It baffles me that 72% of AK are so adamant about voting Republican that the guy with the seemingly shadiest ethics is #1, and someone who isn't even on the ballot is #2.

Maybe Jon Stewart can do a Restoring Sanity rally up there at the Dena'ina Center. No offense Gryphen, but it seems like about 3/4 of your neighbors could use some sanity.

Watching and listening to the sides - Miller and Murkowski - makes me want to barf and tell them both to go to you know where! What crap and to think of the money being spent to spew this stuff when it could go to such better causes in our world today. I will vote for McAdams, but have my doubts he can win. Plus, I think the negative stuff going on is going to keep people from the polls, not encourage them.

Scott's TV spot was well done. If Scott runs against Begich, I'll vote for him then. Now, I've got to do my part to help keep Miller out of the Senate by voting for Lisa.

In the second video...the one with the cow at the beginning....the man holding up the "No More Pork" sign is dairy farmer Wayne Brost of Pt. McKenzie who has had his share of Federal AND State of Alaska "Pork." He would be dead in the water without all the subsidies. Hypocrite.

Joe Miller liked those farm subsidies too....HYPOCRITE!!

What is going on with this?

    ANC is a multi BILLION/MILLION $$$ corporation???

If so, why didn't THEY do more for the native's plight in winter??

Why did villages need to accept outside help?

A drumbeat of warnings about impropriety regarding Alaska native corporation contracts

    By Robert O'Harrow Jr.
    Washington Post Staff Writer

    THIS STORY;

In a break with tradition, Alaska native executives acknowledge problems with ANCS, propose reforms
    Eyak Corp.: A case study
In deals between Alaska corporation and D.C. area contractor, a disconnect

Government officials and the media have produced a drumbeat of reports about possible abuses of the large-scale contracts given to Alaska native corporations without competition.

July 2009: A study by the Senate subcommittee on contracting oversight finds that few ANC employees are Alaska natives but that the companies have joined the ranks of the government's largest contractors. The subcommittee's investigation shows that ANCs have taken advantage of their contracting preferences, "receiving large no-bid contracts and passing through much of the work to other contractors." The report, prepared for Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo.), said: "The analysis finds that Alaska Native Corporations are multi-million or billion dollar corporations that are now among the largest federal contractors. Although ANCs provide some benefits to their shareholders, those benefits may not be in proportion to the potential for waste, fraud and abuse created by the ANCs' contracting preferences."

Gryphen; I have to b honest. Scott's ad is just not enough. He needs to put out a hard hitting ad pinning the national
GOP onto the other two I.e GOP wants to take away SS, Medicare Medicaid. Get the elderly to speak thei mind about that. Running ads where you seem fun is just not good enough!
Unfortunately Democrats lack the killer instinct so desperately needed to win in politics.

I think Lisa's entire goal is to make sure Joe doesn't win. I think she'd be happy if she won, natch, but like TR and the Bull Moose party, the ultimate goal is to keep someone from being elected.

Scott's commercial was adorable. Very well done. Kudo's.

I'm sorry to say, I'm still not gambling my future on a choice between two political neophytes (that is, in terms of national politics) one a whack job with no title, and one who's time has not come yet. But I'll be keeping my eye on him.

I'm writing in Lisa's name, coloring in the oval. It's not that hard.

    Best wishes Scott.

Martha @ 12:15 - The native corps. chartered cargo planes to deliver food bank and other donated items to the villages. They also deliver large timber to be divied up per household every fall.

Can't micromanage how people handle their goods and services in their home.

That is why it was infuriating that Sarah, as Governor, went over the detailed plan the Legislature came up with to provide vouchers and direct payments to vendors for fuel services per household - and gave out $1,200 to every man woman and child living on the grid, off the grid, regardless of income or encouraging responsible energy consumption.

To buy her popularity, that $740 million went a long way to paying for people's vacations or new snowmobiles - instead of actual relief at the pump or for our heating oil tanks and power usage.
