Sarah Palin goes after the Alaska media for not doing their jobs. For once Palin and I are in agreement.

The Twit tweets:

Alaska media slept on the job for how many years re: Obama senior advisor Pete Rouse's claim to be AK resident and "local" voter? For shame.
about 16 hours ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®

Now for those of you who are asking themselves "Pete Rouse who?", Rouse is a Democrat who spent a four years working in Juneau for then Lt. Governor Terry Miller.  Since then Rouse has worked for Senator Tom Daschle for a number of years and now works as President Obama's Senior Advisor.  There is also a lot of talk recently about Rouse taking Rahm Emanuel's Chief of Staff position once Rahm leaves to run for Mayor of Chicago.

Palin's particular bitch "du jour" with Rouse may be that she doubts he is really eligible to be a registered voter in Alaska after all of these years, and blames the local media for not ferreting out the truth.  However it appears that Rouse is, or at least was as of January 21, 2009, still registered to vote in Alaska as reported by the very "Alaska media" that Palin swears has fallen down on the job.

Of course Sister Sarah has had a bee in her bonnet about Pete Rouse for a number of years now, even "suggesting" in her book that HE stole Obama's "CHANGE" theme from her.  She also believes that he is part of the shadowy conspiracy of Obama operatives that inspired the filing of ethics charges against her and is behind the Alaska bloggers.

Like I said in the title I AM in agreement with Sarah on this issue. NO, not the part about Pete Rouse going after her on behalf of Barack Obama!  The part where she points out that the Alaska media did not do its job for "many years."  Because let's face it, if the Alaska media HAD done their jobs there would have been no need for the investigative reporting, and scrutiny provided by the bloggers.

In fact if the media had been doing their jobs all along there is a fairly good chance that today Sarah Palin would be nothing more than an ex-mayor of Wasilla and a stay at home mom.  And the only damage she would be doing would be to the embattled psyches of her children Track, Bristol, Willow, and Piper.

Because do you know what else?  I would bet dollars to donuts there would never even have BEEN a Trig Palin!  I mean if she had simply remained a stay at home mom, and part time political dabbler, WHY would she need her little pro-life poster child?

So now don't you find yourself agreeing with Sister Sarah about the failure of the Alaska media as well?

And here I bet you thought you would NEVER agree with Sarah Palin about ANYTHING!

P.S. By the way to address that ridiculous meme that the Obama administration is behind the ethics charges, let me just say that I have met and talked with a number of people who filed them, and not ONE person has ever been approached by a representative from President Obama either before, or after, he took office.

Ands as for the Alaska bloggers?  Well we were simply responding to a request by Sarah Palin herself who famously said "Hold me accountable!"  So we did!

Stop saying she is damaging her children. Her children are perfectly happy, well-adjusted kids. I know! You obviously do not. I also know from first hand experience her friends and well wishers in Wasilla will stop at nothing to protect her from false reporting and allegations. Why do you think Mr Gross had to essentially make up things for his hit job? Because none of the people who know her would give him the time of day and wen tout of their way to shun him when he pestered them at work and home. ALL of this I know firsthand. I don't know where you get your info but obviously those people do not know the real Sarah

SO let me get this straight: Obama's "Change" theme really belongs to Scarah Palin and this dude Roush stole it from HER?

    LOL LOL

What was Sarah's relationship with the guy....according to this blog he lived in Juneau several years ago and as far as I know Palin only lived there part time for two years. What is the connection? Beside you want me to believe that Scarah was planning on running for President that long ago and came up with this great plan for change? Huhu. Right.

As for the guy being registered to vote in Alaska. If he ever was, there is a good chance that he still is. The Alaska Division of elections doesn't have a good track record for keeping their records up to date. I know this from having worked in the elections office and from seeing friends and families names on voter registration lists years after they had left the state and registered to vote else where.

This is stupid and does not reflect on the news media because there is not story there.

You know what Stupid Sarah, you are absolutely right about the media not doing their jobs.

First order of business media, get crackin' and find out where Stupid got that little Down Syndrome baby from!

I swear, the hubris on this woman. She ought to be sending the AK (and national) media fruit and muffin baskets each week, because if they were doing their jobs her simple ass would probably be behind bars now.

Another Mat-Su citizen, that fought for Freedom of the Press, is to be court-martialed for war crimes and that isn't of interest to the community? His lawyer is trying to help him and he has a defense fund. How will it get funded if no one knows?
    http://www.voanews.com/english/news/usa/Military-Court-to-Decide-on-Afghan-War-Crimes-Case-103936154.html

What ever your opinion on sports killing, the young man is innocent until proven guilty. He needs a good defense. He is up against the death penalty. Are Palin defense funds the only ones that matter?

One of Palin's fans went nuts and turned on her and it is Breaking News that she testified she did not have sex with him and got a restraining order. Good for her that she is doing that but what the hell is wrong with the local news paper?

I'm glad you said it before me - but the ADN didn't go after her either like they should have. She had them curtailed and Parnell has followed in her footsteps. The woman is a fraud! And, I hope she gets boooooed off of every platform she steps on in the near future.

The "real" Sarah Palin claims she made a transcontinental flight after leaking amniotic fluid in a high risk pregnancy. That's certainly damaging her children. They learned how indifferent their parent was to the safety of an innocent fetus.

  9. Did you see that Palin and Cole received a restraining order from one of Palin's fans. Here's the link and read the comment that the guy is a "fan" of Palin and claims to have had sex with her!!!

Right On, Sister Sarah. I hope that Alaska media gets off their lazy behinds and finds out about those big-shots pretending to be Alaska residents when they aren't - kind like this http://www.alaskadispatch.com/voices/medred/6978-more-questions-about-joe-millers-hunting-and-fishing-license

"I would bet dollars to donuts there would never even have BEEN a Trig Palin!"

The very, very sad situation is that there is a child

and the child was born with DS

and the child is quite likely not getting the intervention therapy that would have given him the best possible chance at living his life to the best of his abilities.

This is all blue smoke and mirrors to divert from the issue of Cheechako Joe and his subsistence huntin' and fishin' license. That must make the AIP real happy. Wonder what Todd really thinks about that. If the guy makes it to the Senate, he will be a mark for lobbyists who know how to justify everything.

Yeah, the Frontiersman has the story on Scarah's stalker, but where is the story on Scarah's Indigent Joe??
Extremely biased Frontiersman should stick to covering cute little puppy stories as that's all it's qualified to report.

And Please Scare-yah, we are all wise to your tricks and tactics. Your're just trying to deflect the spotlight of truth off of your Indigent Joe.

If he kept up his residency requirements, eg, owning or renting a place to hang his hat, keeping his license and registration up to date, there is no foul play. Nothin nefarious or to be gained.

Now if he had filed for and kept his PFD's that gets a little tricky and the morality question comes into play. If he got it, I hope he made very symbolic donations to cover services this fundy tight ass frigid State refuses to cover or bother to upkeep.

But by all means Sarah, open the door to investigate who exploits their Alaskan 'residency.' The once stationed members of the military enjoy exemption from PFD disqualifiers about being out of state more than 180 days a year. Every active duty soldier that once served in Alaska but has been transferred to other bases would be fools to give up their ADL's, for they, their spouse, children and other dependents enjoy this loophole and get a check every single year and don't pay State Income Taxes at their subsequent locals - with nary an interest or intent to return to Alaska. They milk that baby til the MatMaid cows come home!

You gonna go after our Patriot Soldiers Sarah?

You get to define who Real Americans are, I knew it was only time you'd do the same with your neighbors.

Sarah, you Real Alaskan, daughter of Pioneers. What of the First Alaskans? Oh yeah, they only matter when the race card comes up, and you pretend you, old blue eyes Todd, your children 'live' with descrimination in Aladka everyday. . .oh the hardships of this brave Frontier woman.

But I digress. . .did you and your family apply for the 2008 PFD? Weren't you all out of State enough to disqualify yourselves from eligibility? Oh that's right, your Administration of high school BFF's and college drop-out administrators rubber-stamped or changed your records to correct any percieved improprieties. You got nailed on some of them, but in your world (outside of the DWTS cross-section of an American audience) you and your supporters are cleared of any and all wrongdoing and only criticized by Obama operatives.

You are such a loser. Soon you'll shout to your kids, "We weren't good enough for Hollywood, we'll never be good enough!"

Why does Sarah hate our men and women in uniform, going after them for accepting PFD's years after they'd been stationed in our State?

Does she suggest we close that loophole for these grifting Patriots fighting for her 1st Amendment Right to use Twitter, FB and Fox News to go after their enjoying our socialist oil royalty payments?

I live in a town with a huge Coast Guard presence and clearly these guys aren't heading to Iraq or Afghanistan (but they are super when it comes to plucking our fishermen from the sea!) but the reality is many choose to remain Alaska citizens after they go on to other assignments. But, I do believe they have the same requirements the rest of us have to remain eligible for the PFD. Maybe we should look this up before going off?

sorry gryphen. palin is what she is today because of the alaska media, so she has no right to go calling them out on someone else and should not be cheered on for doing so.

What kind of mother exposes her young daughter to the mean and hateful comments in her own speeches? What kind of mother intentionally thrusts her children in front of the cameras?

It is obvious that Sarah only thinks about Sarah. If she were to act in the best interest of her children, she would let them have their own friends and a normal social and school life. Encouraging them to consider themselves victims or protectors of their savior mother is a tremendous disservice to them and will have lifelong consequences.
All the world will see how the money grubbing and attention seeking distort their lives.

How does one "unregister" to vote actually?

I mean, I've bought seven houses in three states in the 20-odd years of my marriage (AK included,) and never once did I do anything to "unregister" to vote.

Maybe I'm still on the rolls in AK. I have no idea.

Is Pete Rouse seeking a fat government paycheck by conning a bunch of hicks into thinking he's going to end the federal government? No? Then who gives a damn about Pete Rouse.

Palin is a coward. She is really upset about the Miller article in the ADN. Since she could think of no rebuttal to the article's content, she decided to attack Rouse via Twitter. Very lame, and very un-presidential for one who thinks she deserves to be the next POTUS. If she can't confront the ADN head on about the veracity of the information it published about Joe Miller skirting the law to get a fishing license, how will she deal with someone like Hamid Karzai?

The 18 year old home schooled kid that Kristan and Sarah filed a restraining order against is possibly a paranoid schizophrenic. He had an issue with the Secret Service. He also felt comfortable at the White House and made threats toward the President. If the Secret Service was involved wouldn't they have told Palin and Cole that he was not in Alaska? It was right to file a restraining order if they thought he was in Alaska but something doesn't line up.

__ Mr. Van Flein provided evidence that the secret service investigated respondent alleging that he had threatened__

I recall how fast the FBI was able to respond to Palin one fourth of July week end. You would think the Secret Service would have known he was not in Alaska in a heart beat.
