The scummy bastard who leaked the e-mails between Todd Palin and Joe Miller has finally been revealed! It was some Teabagger by the name of Joe Miller! Wait, what?

From Politico:

On Sept. 19, Todd Palin angrily e-mailed Miller and SarahPAC Treasurer Tim Crawford, berating the Senate hopeful for his comments on a cable news program about Sarah Palin’s qualifications to run for president. He instructed Crawford not to release any more letters in support of Miller.

A frustrated Miller intended to forward that message on to four of his advisers on Sept. 22, remarking “This is what we’re dealing with … Holy cow.”

But one of the recipients’ e-mail addresses was slightly incorrect: Miller accidently forwarded Todd Palin’s message to an address ending with “@joemiller.com” instead of his own “@joemiller.us” domain.

After the e-mails were posted Tuesday to The Mudflats blog, conjecture swirled over who might have leaked the private communication between Miller and the Palin camp. But the Senate candidate released a statement Wednesday declaring the messages were “picked up by an owner of a similar domain name, unconnected with the Miller campaign, and then apparently leaked by that owner to the media.”

ROFL!!!!  Hang on a second, it is very hard to type while doubled over laughing and wiping tears from my eyes.

Hoo boy!  Okay, okay I am back together now.

So Yale graduate, and constitutional expert Joe Miller accidentally leaked an e-mail showing him getting his ass chewed by the husband of the woman who single-handedly made him a household name?  And then TODD tried to blame the MEDIA?

What a complete joke this guy and his campaign have turned out to be. Unbelievable!

You know JUST when I thought our Alaska politics could not look anymore like an episode of the Keystone Kops, this happens.

Alaska PLEASE keep this idiot out of the Senate!  Don't we have enough problems?

You know - I'm REALLY getting sick and tired of hearing about Joe Miller - from Shannyn Moore and now you! Why aren't you folks also talking about the negativity of Lisa Murkowski? Is the focus as to Miller really against Palin so the TeaParty doesn't win here in Alaska?

I so fear that the 'party of no' write-in candidate is going to walk away with this. And, I don't think our "D" candidate is going to be able to pull it out even though I am voting for him.

PLEASE give some of the negative attention to Murkowski. She is doing little visible campaigning - she's just sitting back and watching this Miller fiasco that is being created on the blogs, radio and some TV. She probably feels she doesn't need to campaign. She's already said that our "D" candidate does not have the experience, so she is obviously not worried about him.

Plus, where are the advertisements AGAINST Murkowski (Tea Party issued)? Was her legal team really able to stop them from being aired on TV and radio due to the letter they sent out statewide? Are she and Palin the only ones that can obstruct 'freedom of speech'?

No, No, No. You have it wrong, Gryphen. Sarah Palin has spoken. She told Hannity (Fox) that the e-mail was "HACKED". Sarah Palin is a real techie, she knows her terminology. There was a trial in Tenn. where she got to say "HACKED" under oath.

So Joe Miller is LYING. Because "leaked" is not "HACKED".

(of course, they are both lying, but Sarah just a tiny bit more than Joe)

This sounds very suspicious to me. Email addresses that are in one's email contacts or one that has been used before automatically comes up when you type the first couple of letters and usually people just click on it.

Not too many people bother to write out an entire email address when a drop-down menu provides it for you.

Unless the "other" Joe miller was already in the lawyer Joe Miller's list of contacts, this explanation doesn't make sense. How could Joe miller the lawyer forget his own email address even if he did write the entire thing out instead of just clicking that convenient drop-down menu?

I call bullshit. I think it was Joe Miller that leaked this to the media and is lying about it now.

  11. From the Politico article:

"The writer alluded that he had some “other information” about the Senate candidate ready to go.

“Let’s let the general election play out, then I’ll add more information,” he writes. “I don’t want anything said here to influence the outcome, and the other information I have might do that.”

Why would he sit on information that would help inform the public before voting? Is this a subtle way to get a bribe?

Did you notice that the owner of joemiller.com has additional information that he's not going to release until after the election because he doesn't want to influence the results? I'm hoping a flood of nasty email (which you know is coming) from Palin cult members pisses him off so much that he releases the rest of the misdirected emails.

I've been a non-partisan Alaska voter for 30 years. I've learned that Republicans are Election Savvy. So, think about it. When you are in the ballot booth, a write-in for Lisa, could very well increase the gap between Scott and this Joe guy. If Joe wins the election, your vote will go to waste. IMO. Just really, really, think about it. Scott is running on the Dem ticket, but he is pro-development and wants to increase our oil production. He IS an Alaskan!!! (not a carpetbagger who will take our resources out of the state!). With the current Dem Administration, and Pete Rouse, former Alaskan as chief of staff.. having Dem Senators from Alaska will have more affect to move along our oil concerns than Mr. Joe, or even Lisa... Think about it.

When are we going to stop attacking people personally just because they disagree with us on one or numerous issues? Each person you choose to attack is somebody's friend, somebody's sibling, somebody's parents. It really is sick. If you don't agree with them, fine. PROVE your way is better and more efficient. But don't stoop to some devilish level by destroying their family, friends, acquiantances and themselves. That only proves the United States still embodies a high school mentality.

I'd like to say this is one sided, but it comes from both. Pres Obama's lucky not to have to withstand personal attacks. He only has to answer questions regarding his faith and past experiences that have lead him to where he is which is completely legit. It seems most politicians these days find themselves defending their loved ones against cold, heartless morons who disagree with one professional attribute of said politician's career etc.

And yes there are tons more personal attacks on Reps. Sad. I'm not surprised more and more college students are ashamed of their past Dem affiliations.
Open your eyes to a fucked up world and current administration. And that has nothing to do with Bush, Obama or Sarah Palin. It's been that way for a LOOOONG time.

  28. A little digging turns up a post that has been removed today from the JoeMiller.COM (NOT DUMMIE JOES.US site) website where there is now a blank wordpress blog. Luckily this was cached and still available and will answer some questions why Joe the Idiot mistakenly sent his Palin rant to the wron recipient.

Joe Miller of Alaska wanted to buy this domain name

Funny thing happened a few months back. A guy named Joe Miller called from Alaska and wanted to know if I wanted to sell this domain name. After all, he said, it looked like I wasn’t doing much with it. Well, he was right about that, and I do get contacted a couple of times a year by guys named Joe Miller who want to know if I want to sell the site. I always tell them “no”. I latched onto it in the early days of the internet, and once I sell it, I would never get it back.

The story gets interesting when he says he is willing to offer “several thousand dollars for it”. Oh, well, now that’s different. I told him I would think about it while on a trip to Mexico and let him know. He called from Alaska the day I got back and was really leaning on me, telling me why he wanted the site. He is a lawyer and was planning a run for the US Senate and wanted the site because it already had name recognition and he wanted the .com vs. the .us that he now has.

His offer of “several thousand dollars” changed over the next few days as he kept going lower and lower with his offers, telling me it wasn’t worth much. He kept e-mailing with different reasons why he couldn’t pay “several thousand dollars”. Why hell, I didn’t want to sell it in the first place. My opinion of the guy was that he was really not a very good negotiator and we ended up with no deal and I was sort of upset at myself for wasting all that back-and-forth time with someone who turned out to be full of wind.

I forgot about the whole thing until recently, when indeed, Joe Miller, the lawyer from Alaska, made national news by upsetting incumbent Lisa Murkowski in the Republican primary by about 2,000 votes. I had Googled him early on, wanting to know who I was dealing with, so I already knew that he had no political experience. For a West Point and Yale grad, he didn’t strike me as the “sharpest tool in the shed”, as they say. When I found out that he had been endorsed by Sarah Palin and the Tea Party, I realized how he had managed to win an election. Now, after reading some of his comments and the comments of Alaskan’s who don’t care much for his politics, I can understand why this guy may be a good example of where we are as a country and how we “choose” who will represent us. Anybody with enough money behind them can get shoved inside the Beltway.

  29. After a little digging I found a post by the owner of joemiller.com dated last Tuesday stating the offer by Joe Miller the idiot from Alaska and his offer his domain for a few Thousand dollars:

For those thinking that he couldn't accidentally send an email because of auto complete addresses? Well, if he's been emailing Joe for a while, it makes sense that it would auto complete for THIS joe and that would explain how it ended up with him. I think our friend Joe Miller in Texas needs to make sure that Palinbots don't find him. He's got more dirt on Miller, you can count on that. And I bet you anything the Palins and Miller are frantically going through ALL their outgoing emails to see what else might have been sent. Wouldn't it be so ironic if this took the three of them down?

  33. It looks like the Joe Miller who owns the .com domain has closed comments. There is no link on the site to send email, nor is there an email address listed.

(I mention this latter part simply because not everyone who owns a domain sets up an email account with it.)

The one-page site says he's a photographer but doesn't say where he's located.

My guess is that he's wisely decided to run silent for a while and hope no Palinbots figure out what his email address is. I hope he keeps himself safe because I'm sure he'll still be on the receiving end of a good deal of pissed off Palinistas.

BTW -- How stupid must Miller be to forget his own domain extension? I guess Mr. Grassroots didn't actually buy the darn thing, cuz if he had, one would think he'd know what he bought...

Imagine how careful he'll be with the finances and information of Alaska if he gets his mittens on it.

Now that he IS the candidate, he needs to show Alaskans that he is not Palin's "buttboy" as you so charmingly refer to him. He is declining to endorse so that he appears to be his *own man*. When Joe Miller emailed his staffer about the Palin rant, he would have to type in the user name (at least the beginning part of it) of the staffer before the auto complete mechanism kicked in.
Even he has been communicating with this Joe Miller in Texas, unless his staffer has the same user name as this guy, the auto-complete would not pick the one with the wrong domain name.

He is just trying to find an innocent excuse to cover his ass. But he is not smart enough to make up good lies.

    Hilarious!

OOPS! Can I get those emails back?

Like someone says- everyone in several crews is busy trying to figure out what else they have accidentally sent to the wrong person.

BUT WAIT- the bad stuff that might be embarrassing has already been deleted, so it is a little hard to check!

Think quick right wingers... Did something similar not happen to the previous president and his crew of political advisers?? That's right it did!

    http://tech.blorge.com/Structure:%20/2007/05/25/bad-email-address-sends-karl-rove-emails-to-reporter/

So if someone planned ahead,(so that the same careless mistake might be taken advantage of) maybe they got some nearly the same email addys. The better ones to have are for the more obscure folks that not many people know are connected to Sarah and Joe.

Sometimes the incoming email might be more interesting as far as revealing who and what.

    HAHAHA

And might be true also too:

Maybe any other mismailed emails are not yet the topic of discussion so that more may be captured before the leak is discovered.

BTW- if you haven't done anything that you shouldn't have- then you so called rill murricans have nothing to worry about.

It was going to be handled internally as is the will of the Personnell Board process, but Sarah couldn't stand the thought of letting a prime grandstanding opportunity get away - hence her 'quitting' the Oil & Gas Commission, freeing herself from the gag-order.

Conservatives also crow about the leaked JournoList and climate change scientist emails. Do they respect the content or people affected in those breaches?

Todd's reaction and Miller's response to Todd's email speaks volumes about what's going on behind the scenes.

    Maybe it's not Miller's meltdown...

    4:02,

Joe@joemiller.com would be the first selection in an autofill scenario. Alphabetically, it precedes Joe@joemiller.us.

And yes, I believe it has been pointed out that the two emails are that similar. Miller must have been really agitated to forget to select the second address.

Person complaining about unfair attacks is too funny. I guess Fox leaves out more details and facts than I thought.

I wonder if the complainer posting here has heard/read any of Sarah's speeches? Apparently not. They are nothing but lies, attacks and insults toward the president and democrats from beginning to end.

She started attacking during the campaign and has not let up since. And she is quite vicious.

If these Tea folks had a positive message, ideas and a plan they would not inspire such strong response from democrats.

Stop picking on every dang thing I can just imagine how many iteams or things you or you or you has done or will do over time that is a slip up. Like me I type these comments late at night tired and make a few if not many typing errors so yeah big deal.
