Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

SNL can't resist having a little fun with the new Christine O'Donnell ad.
The SNL skit was cute and I loved the ending with the skeleton playing the piano.
Sigh, I read that Bristol said SNL's skits, Tina Fey's impersonation was not at all like her mother except that Fey kind of looks like Sarah. Wow...75% of people who have seen Sarah and the impersonation are on a different planet than Bristol and 25% of the country. What Fey did was exaggerate the abusrdity of Palin's claim altering it to seeing Russia from her porch. Wow..Pbots are outraged Palin did not say that. What she did say was just as absurd. I observe they avoid repeating what Palin did say just defending she did not say the porch line. So, it's Tina Fey's fault anyone who heard Palin thinks she was not qualified to be President. Lamebrains or lamestream media?
Well, I am hoding my breath on pins and needles to see Palin reality tv where Tripp, Trig, Piper, Willow, Track, Todd, Sarah, the Heaths take over the Crosby family and become satellite stars or regular 'ole redneckin' speechifyin' family swimmin' hole Palin clan who must hunt to eat! (sarcasam)Maybe Tripp will be the next Shirley Temple following his mother's dancin' footsteps??
Tough decision: put the Hoarders, Kardahians, Gossselins, Hefner's bunnies, or Palins's in the whitehouse...hmmm...so much to decide for the future of our country!!
Much as I dislike defending Palin and her palinbots, what she actually did say was that you can see Russia from Alaska...not from her porch. That was about the only thing she said that was factual. Of course, I realize that spoils a good laugh, so it'll probably never be accepted by the rest of us.
The point of the skit wasn't to quote Palin, it was to parody her. The fact that most of the parody was simply a direct quote is the best part of it, to me.
It is completely immaterial whether Palin said from Alaska or from her house or porch. What drives the 'bots crazy, I believe, is that people can't remember what is parody and what is reality. But that is bound to happen when you support a cartoon character for president.
Hope she can cast a spell on Bristol's belly to make it grow more.

ReplyDeleteThe skit was cute. Jane Lynch was the best, though.
ReplyDeleteUh Lynne....you don't have to worry about defending the Palinbots. The seeing Russia from Alaska was her DEFENSE FOR HAVING FOREIGN EXPERIENCE!
ReplyDeleteTina Fey just played on how STUPID that defense was by adding "seeing Russia from her house".

I had to do a lot of googling to find an URL that WORKED to let me see the SNL skit...here's one that as of 3:30 pm PST, NBC hasn't killed:

I was hoping it'd be even funnier...guess it must be hard to do comedy about something that is already unbelievably laughable.
You mean to say, that ad I've seen on the internet was NOT itself a SNL parody? Well bless my socks.

ReplyDeleteMy thoughts, also ,too;)
Fact funnier than fiction.
Wiig can hang with Fey most days
