From the Chicago Sun-Times:
After Brandy was booted from “Dancing With the Stars” Tuesday night, a solid source at “DWTS” told me, “People here went crazy.
“Not only was everyone stunned that Bristol [Palin] will be in the finals,” the staffer said, “it just made everyone realize the voting system really needs to be changed. This is going to lead to a reworking of the entire voting system.
“There definitely will be a restructuring to give the judges’ votes more weight. ... It’s tricky, because like ‘American Idol,’ the strength of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ popularity is the fact people know they can have an impact. We don’t want to lose that because that could have a detrimental effect on ratings, but this is getting nuts.”
The source stressed that everyone on the show thinks “Bristol is a very nice girl, but this show is about dancing and not politics! Yes, she’s improved greatly — but come on! Brandy is far more talented than Bristol when it comes to dancing.”
While Brandy put on a good face for the public and on the show, both she and Maks Chmerkov skiy (her partner) were reportedly “livid” backstage — extremely upset about the outcome. Chmerkov skiy told E! Online the voting system is “flawed” and added, “This season has just been ridiculous since day one.”
Like I have said over, and over again. EVERYTHING the Palins touch turns to shit.
Looks like this is beginning to blow up in the Palins' faces. Good.
ReplyDeleteAnd if they change the system, Sarah will say it's another example of how the Hollywood elite hates real Americans.
ReplyDeleteDWTS is reaping what it sowed when it put Bristol on the show. Unlike the rest of the washed-up contestants over the years, she was never a star at any point. There's no need to change the rules -- just don't put a divisive contestant on the show and you won't have these problems.
And I'm not so sure that ABC is sorry. They are getting a LOT of attention over this matter. As the old maxim goes, all publicity is good publicity.
Why do people insist on saying Bristol's dancing has improved. Give it a rest.
ReplyDeleteHere's the video from week 1:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VneaCVaT0ZI
If there's been improvement, it's minimal. She's still just doing simple steps with some added dramatic lighting.
Nigel Lythgoe appeared on The View Thursday morning. He is one of the creators and Executive Producers of American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance and is a 'Real Dancer' himself.
ReplyDeleteSherry read the excerpt of Palin's new book slamming American Idol. Nigel handed it right back to Palin -- BAM!!! Watch Whoopee's reaction - hilarious!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkJ2Um_H_1Q&feature=player_embedded
You do know Bristol is friends with at least one producer and one makeup artist right?
ReplyDeleteI think the real reasoning here is, they finally see their system was flawed and that having email votes at all is crazy. People should be allowed one vote perphone line. That is all. Like idol
Like I have said over, and over again. EVERYTHING the Palins touch turns to shit.
ReplyDelete--
Not fair. This is only because people are jealous that this girl is endearing to America. She wouldn't be sought out by Candies, by good organizations if she weren't. Shes had fans since the beginning. Brandy's fanbase is not that big, and she's bitchy. and boring. at least Bristol is real
Yup. The ol' Palin Toxic Stink destroys everything it permeates. Forever.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, DWTS deserves it all.
Another point of contention that DWTS need to address is the judges' inflated scores to placate the Palin camp and the show's producers. Until they do, the show is still going to be slammed as being rigged and thus compromise their entertainment value.
ReplyDeleteThey ain't seen nothing yet. Can you imagine if Bristol wins against Baby? Their viewers will be fuming.
ReplyDeleteSince the judges have been salivating over her all season, it will be tough for them to be honest now. Besides, they would endure the hate and wrath of the Palinbots at this point. The judges allowed this to happen by allowing her higher scores than she deserved. They are the ones to blame.
nixing the email votes is one thing because thats just retarded but Bristol's ALWAYS been at the top of the dialidol.com rundown AND one of the lowest or the lowest has always gone home.
ReplyDeleteMakes sense:
Hoff was a disaster
Bolton was sensitive but also a disaster
Comedians dont do well and MArgaret Cho doesnt have the dwts fanbase
Audrina was never near the top and no one knows who she is. shes also boring
I was shocked kurt and rick left but its more understandable than bristol
people really didnt like brandys attitude and her and maks' onscreen relationship
bahahahahahaha ABCS totally trying to cover their asses from casting a non=hollywood type and finding out America really does love the underdog.
ReplyDeletealso, people really do like Bristol.
There are a lot of people out there who may not have had much of an opinion about Sarah Palin before and now see what a piece of crap she really is. Using your political machine to try to ensure your not very talented daughter wins a dancing contest is so far from presidential. She looks ridiculous. And when young Bristol pops out another kids after making a big point of her abstinence....
ReplyDelete“Bristol is a very nice girl, but this show is about dancing and not politics! Yes, she’s improved greatly — but come on! Brandy is far more talented than Bristol when it comes to dancing.”
ReplyDeleteLOL Really?
Inside Edition just has a segment about this. Seems all kinds of folks are calling ABC to complain.
ReplyDeleteBristol knows, she played her cards by wearing a "Tea Party" t-shirt during a taped rehearsal, then played dumb to recruiting her Mom's sad army of misfits, when asked in an interview. I think she said "I just wore what was packed". Hmm.. She's a fool, I hope she wins. She will always be known as the loser who can't do anything on her own. Self entitlement is the definition of Palin offspring, until it fades and they will be your cantankerous server at TGIF at the age of 25, for lack of education and skill I'll feel sorry for the bitch and give her a pity tip after she flashes her flab for the guy at the table of 15 who is celebrating his 90th birthday. Her cheap body does have an audience, outside Palin-freaks. It's just a little limited.
ReplyDeleteDWTS knows it has screwed up badly this time and unless and until the producer openly make a statement about these changes they will continue to lose viewers. In a case like this an anonymous source from the show is not going to instill faith in the viewers.
ReplyDeleteOn the flip side though I am glad to hear many at the show are upset. We'll just have to see if those in power follow through.
For Bristol to have beat any of the past contestants is a travesty.
@3:27
ReplyDeleteDamn, what's in the water over that at PeeBot central? Something hella toxic, that's what.
"Not fair. This is only because people are jealous that this girl is endearing to America."
Dear Nitwit,
Of all the things of which I am jealous (my co-workers fierce shoes for one), the fact that Bristle is "endearing" to a bunch of idiots is not in the top 11,000.
But thanks for playing, honey. Maybe the Palins need to pay you better or your marching orders need clarifying.
Love and kisses,
MC
another situation where near complete strangers realize any involvement with these paylins causes more trouble than it is worth.
ReplyDeletetime and again.
there are people on this planet who suck the oxygen out of a room.
you stay away from them.
if, you want to breathe.
I have met Brandy and she is really nice.
ReplyDeleteI agree with anon 3:18.
ReplyDeleteI hope all the DWTS staff are so frustrated that they quit. Having BP on the show to boost ratings ruined their credibility from the start and now their show.
How's that 'dancy' thing workin for ya?
With the stories popping up again about Trump the Lump thinking about running for office, I'm surprised they haven't interviewed him to comment on the DWTS voting.
ReplyDeleteIf there is someone other than Palin that has a love of cameras and attention it's Trump. Trump thinks his shit don't smell!!
I don't know why everyone is so surprised that Brandy got eliminated. I knew it would happen as soon as Bristol the Peestool put a hit out on Maks. "He doesn't like me," she whined. Code for...I want him gone.
ReplyDeleteDid anyone also notice that usually the winning couple goes over and a least says something to the losers...but not Bp; she just stood there looking all smug and self-satisfied.
I read where people keep writing that people like BP. I don't know not one single solitary person that likes her. Even my friends that like Palin,Sr don't like Bristol. They are voting for her because they have been given their marching orders by the rightwing blogs.
They need to validate the email addresses ahead of time. Like you get an email verifying that the address is real and then you vote the allotted times via that legit address.
ReplyDeleteCommenting sites like HuffPO do this all the time.
Like I have said over, and over again. EVERYTHING the Palins touch turns to shit.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA LMAO. I can't help but to laugh at bots. They are just so delusional, bless thier little hearts. ha ha ha ha!!
Sarah Palin's new book makes the point that "entitled little whiners" are difficult for employers to handle.
ReplyDeleteBristol is a stunning example of an "entilted little whiner" from her "it sucks" attitude to her "haters" facebook post.
DWTS's flawed tabulation system is precisely the type of situation an entitled little whiner like Bristol exploits to cover for her lack of talent and personality.
If you want to know how to straighten out a young person with Bristol's many problems, just BUY Sarah Palin's new book. It's got all the answers.
3:18
ReplyDelete"Bitchy and boring" describe Briskett quite well.Especially boring.
Anon @3:27
ReplyDeletePlease tell me how I am jealous of Bristyl Paylin. Because she got knocked up at 18? Because her mother suffers from a severe mental disability that is untreated? Because of her incredible beauty? How about her genius level IQ; am I jealous of that? Or maybe it's her academic achievements I'm jealous of. Do tell. Just because you and the other 'bots are so miserable in your lives that you engage in unwarranted hero worship just to give your lives meaning, does not mean that the rest of us are unhappy in our lives. Newsflash: we are not jealous of the Paylins. In fact, if they weren't so contemptuous, we would probably feel sorry for them. If you would like to defend your queen, please come up with a credible argument. "You're jealous" is a junior high school remark; which by the way, is where your queen lives.
fyi, Neither Sarah nor Bristol has "recruited" a team to vote in mass. Bristol cannot help it if her supporters are vast in number and passionate in response. Why don't you check out Brooke Burkes blog post. Enlighten yourselves.
ReplyDeleteThis is a true sign that people have no sense of joy in their lives, nor can they separate politics from entertainment (both sides) Bristol is a girl doing her own thing. She doesn't answer to her mother, she earns her own living. She lives solely for her son and deeply loves her family.
It's called Jealousy. And there is no scandal, further revelation or stupid rumor that will bring this family down or tear them apart.
3:27 said: "people are jealous" of Bristol.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, will you morons please give up the delusion that those of us with brains are jealous of anyone in this pathetic excuse for a family? It's really getting old.
Yeah, I'm so jealous of an overweight teenage mom from Wasilla. I have 4 beautiful children and manage to stay thin despite the fact that I'm not dancing all day. As your idol, Sarah would say: Uh, newwwww (that's no to you non-idiots), I'm working at raising good kids and it's important to me to be healthy and look good.
check out derek houghs newest tweet. its a pic of the final 3 with the producers, most of whom Bristol is fb friends with

ReplyDeleteSorry Bristol lovers (both of you), she should have been gone after the gorilla nonsense. Everyone knows it. Now they are shouting it from the rooftops! The voting system, too friendly judging and rabid Palin fans have kept her on undeservedly.

ReplyDeleteCandies is a good organization? Have you seen their skanky diseased pedo-fantasy ads?
Oh my, we've got a bridge to nowhere to sell you!
@4:08 - nice try at deflection. Trump's got nothing to do with the Palins' collective, hateful screw-ups.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts, when he was but a mere State Legislator, have a daughter make her way to the top 20 or better on American Idol?
ReplyDeleteHe hadn't used her at all during his highly covered run for Kennedy's seat.
My point is, she was an able singer who made her place in her own right - yet we don't remember her name, couldn't pick her out of a crowd, and daddy never once used her as a shield or a prop. That is a parent that cares about their child's privacy, identity and being classy.
@ 3:27 - yeah I have to raise my beer to you. that really was the best laugh I've had all day. when someone claims that others are jealous of the palins, it shows that the accuser has the mind of a teenager. it's such a juvenile perspective. but I suppose if it weren't for the juvenile perspective, the palins wouldn't have any fans!
ReplyDeleteI can't remember one single person that has brought out so much bad in people than Sarah Palin. Sorry Sarah but the legacy you're leaving isn't a good one.
ReplyDeleteCan they give Brandy and Maks the opportunity they earned?
ReplyDeleteHow convenient. Bristol made it to the semi-finals and they can't change that the judges gave her a pass, over and over. I won't be surprised if it works out perfect for the work-ethic-hardworking-single-mom-abstinence-activist to be able to skip the winners tour. ABC is still slime and deserves to be outed for all their crap.
Mark Ballas knew he could sign on for another project because he wouldn't have to do the winners tour.
Classic! The Palins are imploding for all of Americans to see, and are being revealed as the hillbillies they are! Multiple articles coming out revealing the true character of Palin. Rebubs saying they don't want her to be the GOP candidate. Fox noise staff joking about Palin's reality show. The totally inappropriate FB postings by Willow and Bristol. Yhe obvious conspiracy on DWTS which is getting huge negative coverage against the Palins & their fans.
ReplyDeleteAND NOW...another ridiculous book "by" Palin with an all-American title except it's another bashing of Levi and others, while claiming she and her family are perfect, including her chaste daughter Bristol, but everyone else sucks, including all the untalented people on annoying reality shows (does she own a mirror?) This family is so done wasting our time, good riddance!
Troll @ 4:30
ReplyDeleteSo Bristol is a victim of overzealous supporters of Sarah Palin?
In Palin World, everyone makes them victims, and they are just a normal, real, relateable, hard working Family Values troupe that loves and defends each other through all these bad times. Yes, there is no joy in our lives. . .
Whatever you are on, I want some of that!
I feel so sorry for Sarah's kids, I just want to adopt them all.
ReplyDeleteIt is obvious to me that none of them have been "parented" and that is not only a damn shame but a ruination of their potential.
Screwing Alaska is one thing. Screwing your kids .... reminds me of that scripture, "and the sins of the father shall be visited upon the son".
Her children will pay for her perfidy long after Sarah is dead and gone.
I don't see 'rapture' in Sarah's future.
4:38, cut 3:27 a break, he/she probably thinks that Candies sells candy. You have to walk these simple folk through everything.
ReplyDelete10catsinMD, you suggested validating the email addresses ahead of time. What good would that do? Each person would still open hundreds of email addresses via the free sites like Hotmail, Mail.com, Gmail, etc. Each of them could then be verified by sending a confirmation email. That would not make the voting process any more truthful.
ReplyDeleteSay it laprofessor @4:24!
ReplyDeleteI grew up with a narcissist for a father. He acts a lot like Stupid Sarah. Everything was all about him, just like everything is all about her. These people live in their own little bubble. The slightest little prick to that bubble and they are completely off the main track. I look at those kids and see myself 15 to 20 years ago. There is no joy in that family whatsoever. There's a lot of nervous tension and play-acting, but genuine happiness, not so much.
When BP grows up, she will see that she was nothing more than an enormous float in her mommy's 'look at me' parade. The ride is always fun at first with all it's perks and getting what passes for mommy's love and adoration, but the crash is unbelievable and unbearable.
"...ridiculous since day one." Ya think? And may I add, terribly unfair to the talented dancers who went by the wayside. That seems to be lost on Miss Arrogant from Wasilla. Christian values my ass.
ReplyDeleteThe tea party voted for candidates in the primaries who were clearly unqualified, and eventually most of them lost. The tea party have been voting Bristol into the finals, and finally we see just how dangerous they are, bragging about voting dozens of times over the allowed amount. They must think that they get to vote that way for Sarah Palin in the primaries and general election. All that they have proven is that they have a talent for voting for totally unqualified people, and that includes Bristol, who is not a good dancer. Thanks Palinbots, you are peeing in your own bathwater.
ReplyDeleteWell, Gryphen, it looks like you have a pet troll today. As far as trolls go, I'd say this one is "bitch and boring."
ReplyDeleteThe old "jealousy" routine has no juice. It is grade school and only draws attention to how mindless everything Palin is and how blind her followers. No one sees Bristol doing her own thing. Not even close. Bristol is like a trained dancing bear. A poor pathetic animal who has to live off the mercy of the SarahPac/TeaParty. She has no popularity of her own. No friends that will help her achieve those goals. Continue to enable her since that's all you know.
ReplyDelete@4:30 "Bristol is a girl doing her own thing. She doesn't answer to her mother, she earns her own living. She lives solely for her son and deeply loves her family."
ReplyDeleteBristol is a girl doing the grifter thing she learned from her mother. She might not "answer" to her mom, but she has at least two semi-functioning brain cells that tell her she better not cross her, either. She knows which side of the bread has the butter.
She "earns" (and I use that term very loosely) a living not by hard work, but by riding her mom's coattails. If her last name wasn't Palin, how would she ever have qualified for DWTS?
Face it, she's a semi-literate unwed mother who, if it weren't for having having her mom's last name, would be turning tricks in a Anchorage truck stop to pork up on Ramen noodles right now.
I wish we could keep the bots outta here so we wouldn't have to read their drivel. It's always the same palin adoration crappola from the low-information crowd. Blech!! I'd go to the C of P if I wanted to read that post after post.
ReplyDelete@ 4:30 You are right. Any single mom should be able to be on DWTS. Bristol didn't get on because of her mom. She is doin' her own thing. Riiiiiiight. We are jealous because of Bristol's mind! That girl can SPELL!
ReplyDeleteGo back to from where have come, Trolli.

ReplyDelete"Dancing with the Meh"
lol now that was good. and appropriate. and correct.
here's one thing for folks to consider: willow is next. palin is grooming all her kids to be "tiny hollywood starlets." well unfortunately for palin, the tiny part won't work, but she's continuing to push for the 'hollywood starlets' part. classic case of a washed-out woman trying to live her dreams through her kids. pathetic.
This is my 1st yr watching some of the shows, I really wanted Jen or Bran to win. Really there needs to be an investigation...how else to fix - unless it understood on all levels. BP knows the truth while pushing the story that America loves her <<<<. This Much. >>>>
ReplyDeleteAmerica don't roll like that!
They should fix it before Monday's show. That would make the bots go insane.
ReplyDeleteWhooo, the bots are out in full force. The Palins will drag anyone and anything down to their level once they get their claws in you. Let's see...Mike Wooten, Walt Monegan, Frank Bailey, Lyda Green,Meg Stapleton, John McCain,Nicole Wallace, Steve Schmidt, Joe Miller, Sharron Angle, Ken Buck, John Raese, Christine O'Donnell, TLC, and now DWTS. Sarah and her family have turned everything and everyone against them at one point or another. It will happen to Becky Mansour, and the rest of her lame brain trust sooner or later. She turns on everyone and everything that gets in her way, and now Bristol is doing the same.
ReplyDeleteThe Palins are nothing but vampires, they bleed you dry then move onto the next victim in their never ending quest for cash and prizes. Ever watch vampire flicks or True Blood? Eventually someone's going to have the wooden bullet that will do them in, or they get killed off by an older, wiser vamp. That's what happens when get greedy, invade another vamps' territory and take more blood than they need.
I haven't watched DWTS, only seen the clips online lately. Has there been a history of of this type of thing on the show before i.e. undeserving contestants making it ahead of others?
ReplyDelete"And ye shall know them by their fruits."
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin's fruits: bitter divisiveness and disharmony, wherever she goes, whatever she does. And it appears to be hereditary.
Brandy shows more elegance, physical grace, and talent in that one still shot than Bristol has shown cumulatively all season.
ReplyDeleteI remember reading an insider comment when Kate Gosselin was on DWTS that the producers had signed her for a certain number of episodes. A week or two after I read that comment, she had appeared the number of times the commenter said the contract stipulated, and she was voted off THAT WEEK.
ReplyDeleteI also remember reading multiple places that Gosselin was a bitch to everyone on set, and the costumers took it out by making her look seriously ugly. I kinda think they're doing the same thing to the Pregnant Pistol. I hope they are.
Oh...so NOW they say the system needs changing. As if they didn't realize this all along. They knew what was going to happen when Bristol won (which was most likely according to plan, anyway). They already knew that they would feign surprise at the system just to make the public think this whole thing was not planned. ABC and many other powerful people are behind the Palins and want her in the White House and that Black man out. This whole thing is political and smacks of trying to rehabilitate the trashy family called the Palins. Look to see more antics like this.
ReplyDeleteTime to get serious about this because I can guarantee you that the people behind the Palins are VERY serious about putting this bimbo and her family in the White House.
dwts no like bristol?? haha
ReplyDeleteP'BOT FREAKOUT AND FAIL!!! lol

"Sarah and her family have turned everything and everyone against them at one point or another."
ReplyDeleteIvy Frye and other old Heath pals are still with her. The NYT had a new crew since 2008. Old Heath/Palin friends remain close.
Thank goodness. The viting system sucks and it shows.
ReplyDeleteI think the pink elephant in the room should be, "Why is Bristol Palin" on a show like this to begin with? Is she a celebrity? No---her mom is, and not a good one by any means. Her claim to fame is an early cake in the oven courtesy of Levi Johnston, a thing which must make them all so proud.
ReplyDeleteThen again... Sarah Palin makes for good fodder and food for bloggers (me included) so if this brings more schadenfreude, I'd say keep her there. It's a bad show to begin with.
Sarah Palin doesn't have friends, she has willing servants, people she's paid off, and people who are scared of her.
ReplyDeleteIvy Frye is like Igor to Sarah's Frankenstein...a drooling sycophant, limping behind her whispering "yeth, mathter."
DWTS will lose future audiences. And perhaps good staff. Even if they change their voting system, this foolish season has left a sour taste for their audience. Brandy and Maks will have a rich reward of some kind, a very lucky break, if they can keep their dignity through this.
ReplyDeleteAnon @ 4.30 Ramen Noodles? now that is cold!
ReplyDeleteCyberbullies flame war.
ReplyDeleteCyberbullies flame war:Are the Palin Girls Cyberbullies? Analyzing their Facebook flame war.
Warning: This article contains profanity as quoted from Willow and Bristol Palin's Facebook posts.
The language, however typical of adolescent taunts, is shameful, especially in light of the recent cluster of suicides by gay kids.
But what's also striking about the thread is that it has all the hallmarks of a typical teenage Facebook flame war. The Palins sound nothing like image-conscious celebrity kids, and since they seem to know some of their Facebook critics, the fight quickly gets personal and nasty, just as any high-school Internet battle can. Of course, the Palins aren't regular teenagers. It's not bad luck that their adolescent misfires went viral—it's inevitable.
Way to go, ABC. You're stuck with them now!
ReplyDeleteFollowing on what LaProfesora said, claiming that anyone that criticizes the Palins is jealous is beyond ludicrous. I've posted since the day Sarah came on the scene after the convention that I was concerned about her girls and dynamics that I see in that family - and yes, there is enough video and pictures out there, not to mention what Sarah says, to get a good picture of the dynamics of that family. I can be critical of Bristol even though I feel sorry for her. That said, we still make our own choices in life. I see how she became the person that she is - how could she not? - but she is also young enough that she could choose to be different if she wanted to be. Being in Hollywood by herself gives her a chance to be around different kinds of people if she were willing to open herself up to accepting people's differences. Do I think that will happen? No, but at least she is getting out into the world and experiencing different things and people and maybe seeing that there are other ways to be other than petty and mean and vengeful as she has been raised.
ReplyDeleteAs far as being jealous - why would I? Professional degree & credentials, amazing kids, spouse, extended family, friends, etc., etc., etc. Why would anyone be jealous? Their life is nothing to be proud of as far as I can see.
Letterman used Bristol and Sarah tonight (Thursday). His top ten was about Sarah's new book. He joked about DWTS saying Palin is paying people to vote as many times as they can and that's a Federal offense, so she'll be in prison instead of running for president.
ReplyDeleteToo little...Too late
ReplyDeleteThe Palin girls are cyberbullies.
ReplyDelete"Bristol is a nice girl"???? Really? Actually, she's a vicious bitch, just like her mother.
ReplyDeleteLevi, grow a pair. Get your documentation in order and sue this bitch for custody of your child and for defamation. He's getting old enough to be suffering from her hate and ignorance.
Bristol is an example of the kind of trash talking her mother did about American Idol, but of course their parents weren't governors. Bristol is a pig's ear you can't make a purse from, though. She's extorting enough money to buy one, though.
I know we're not supposed to feed the trolls, but this time I've got to. First, I've always found it interesting that EVERY Palin supporter that comments here is anonymous. Come on, identify yourself ! Aren't you proud to be a bot ? Anonymous 3:27 pm : You say that Brandy's fanbase isn't that big. Where can I find that information ? Tell me where you found it. Why is this the only time Bristol was above Brandy ? You say Brandy is bitchy and boring. How ? Has she said something bad about someone ? "Bristol is real". Define real. As far as Candies, I remember an ad campaign that showed Jenny McCarthy sitting on the toilet with her pants pulled down. Classy !
ReplyDeleteAnonymous 3:42 pm : Yes. Really !
Anonymous 4:30 pm : People who live solely for their son actually spend time with them. They let them see their father no matter what their feelings. They don't speak badly of them, especially on national tv.
Ok. I'm done for now.
This is an example of what Palin represents in her truest form. Giving back to the people...she just stole from the people. How sad for Bristol, she know she can't dance in her heart and she only won because her mother represent lies and cheating. Marketing for ABC and ratings at what cost....Max and Brandy and Kurt??? In some respects hopefully Brandy and Max helped us not have to have this insane woman in office. Here is hoping!
ReplyDeleteTo the person who thought producers being facebook friends with Bristol was proof of anything. Um, no. Not so much. Producers ARE social networkers. The entertainment business is transient. Knowing and keeping contact with people is how to know where the jobs are. Face Book is a tool. They aren't going to do anything that might seem like a diss of Palin in public. Too easy to watch.
ReplyDeleteDear Palin-bots...
ReplyDeleteIf Bristol were really as popular as you claim, you wouldn't have to CHEAT to get her into the finals, would you? And you DO realize that just because a small number of rabid fans inflate her numbers--it doesn't *really* make her any more popular. All it does is taint whatever she "accomplishes" on the show.
And don't say you are cheating because "everyone else does it." That excuse never worked when you tried it on your Mom and it won't work now. All you are doing is revealing your true "values"--that you'll lie and cheat and defame others to get to your goal. That you go to such insane lengths over a silly show... No one is going to be convinced to vote for Sarah Palin just because she fixed a dance competition. Perhaps the opposite. Your values are showing.
I haven't watched DWTS, only seen the clips online lately. Has there been a history of of this type of thing on the show before i.e. undeserving contestants making it ahead of others?
ReplyDelete5:33 PM
NO, the usual complaint is that there is a "ringer." Usually, it's just that someone is more athletic or has done something similar - Kristi Yamaguchi - figure skating is similar but some doesn't necessarily translate into dance-think Apolo Ono - speed skater) The athletes know how to train, have stamina and balance. Sometimes it's a real ringer - Scherzinger was closest - the reality show for them a few years ago emphasized dance ALOT, even though it wasn't ballroom.
But the premise behind "the winner was a ringer" is still that the best dancer wins and that a talented amateur hasn't been given a fair shake. .
This is that a far worse "dancer" (Briskett is REALLY horrible) is winning what is billed as a dance competition.
Cheat, Bristol, cheat--'cause you sure can't dance!
ReplyDeleteFlip Dancing with the Stars.
ReplyDelete(In Palin-speak, you know what Flip means)
I'm a real American.
ReplyDeleteI DON'T love Bristol.
If truth be told, it is a myth that we love underdogs. We really love winners. We love an underdog that turns out to be a winner.
Bristol is a mean, wannabe. She will never be a true winner with her attitude.
As another commen-tator posted:
ReplyDeleteBristol Palin - the Paris Hilton of the all-you-can-eat buffet
The republicans and tea party idiots love to holler about "voter fraud" except when it works in their favor.
ReplyDeleteI know that this is a poorly made version of Community Auditions and not a national election but the same principals apply. If you can't win legitimately, cheat.
IMHO, this comes a day late, a dollar short!
ReplyDeleteIn the meantime, they have lost countless viewers (not just the ones who are tuning in right now to see the next victim of the TeaPublicans), and potentially stars/performers.
They should have IMMEDIATELY done away with the type of voting system they had.
Does anyone believe that next season (if there is one...) there will be another TeaPublican on the show with as much interest of having the show fixed? I don't think so! Next season, the show will be nice and mellow, with very little upsets - but not because they are re-vamping their system!
What is truly sad, is that if not now, at some point, Bristol will realize that she is not a good dancer (she said it at the very beginning that she doesn't have good rhythm, critical to dance). Knowing that you have received something you did not earn or deserve, especially at the expense of someone else, will slowly erode self-esteem & self-confidence. Guilt, misplaced or not, is a huge cause of pain & anger and one or the reasons why counselors do what they do.
ReplyDeleteI actually do agree with SP that we pay too much attention to childrens' self-esteem (although I disagree with her hugely re Idol and how she has extrapolated the issue - logical thinking is beyond her). Small failures early on help us learn how to do life. Unfortunately, it is clear that Sarah never learned that lesson else she would not react as she does to criticism and disagreement. Saddest is the lessons being learned by her children. Clearly self-esteem doesn't matter to Sarah or she wouldn't teach her kids that the ends justify the means - where is the sense of accomplishment necessary to building esteem? Nowhere.
Okay. Maybe Maks won't say anything. But Brandy has enough money to handle any fines or lawsuits for breaking a non-disclosure.
ReplyDeleteIf Bristol is pregnant, Brandy will spill.
We just put up a new video based on the Sondheim song CHRYSANTHEMUM TEA, which we call the CHRYSANTHEMUM TEA PARTY
