Bristol's rehearsal footage and freestyle dance from last night's DWTS.
Well thank goodness Sarah showed that Bristol is NOT a diva on her show "Sarah Palin Sees Alaska for the First Time," or else I might come away with an entirely different opinion.
By the way this footage convinced at least two people I know, who were on the fence about Bristol being pregnant, that there was no doubt she indeed has a bun in the oven.
And did those judges see the SAME dance that I saw? WTF?
Update: Here is Bristol's "redemption dance." Well at least she is not dressed like a damn dirty ape.

ReplyDeleteCompare this to Kyle's freestyle. I think there is only a one year age difference between them, but you wouldn't know it from watching these dances. Kyle seems so much younger and happier and his energy level is so much higher.

ReplyDeleteI was back and forth on whether she was pregnant or not, but these last few weeks, and THIS footage...how far along is that belly? 5 months? 6 months...?
ABC knows, DWTS knows. They were trying to hide it with camera angles in the rehearsal footage cuts.
Bristol NEEDS to be watched, now, the moment she leaves H'Wood. There's a baby comin' and someone will make a TON of $$$ by the tabloids getting the pics of her going to the hospital, and coming home with a new baby.

OMG this girl cannot dance, cannot move gracefully, cannot even walk without lumbering. It is the perfect physical expression of her personality: sullen, surly, dull, whiney and petty. Never have I seen such a wonderful opportunity simply thrown away with both hands! She could have embraced the chance to shine, to work hard, celebrate being young, move with joy... but no. I guess it is too much to hope that she could break free of her family's obvious dysfunction. All she can offer is that horrible excuse for effort, truly terrible dancing, flat affect, poor sportsmanship, and nastiness of playing the victim of "haters". What a waste of an opportunity so few are lucky enough to have. She deserves to lose for no other reason than her poor work ethic and bad manners. And, let's be clear, she has shown herself to be just what she is: "powhitetrash"

Scenario 1) She is, and her mother says "Ha, had, see how easy it is to hide a pregnancy, even on stage in front of the whole world?"
Scenario 2) She isn't, and her mother says "See how all the haters are always picking on Bristol."
Win/win for SP. So I say, keep up the PG talk, just so if #1 is the case, she can't say they fooled the whole world.
There is a profile shot in the practice footage which shows her abdomen from the side, in contrast to the wall in the background. She is screen right facing screen left. The silhouette is very defined. Pregnant! Until I saw this I was not sure. Maybe now she'll REALLY get the sympathy, explain why her dancing was so restrained, trumpet how brave she was to face down the death threats and all the haters, poor brave thing, such a pro-life stance from the wronged ex-fiance of the evil fame whore Levi... (*gag*)

ReplyDeleteBristol Palin, and Mark Ballas weren't even in sync, most of the time. Sometimes she wasn't even moving her feet. Mostly, he just dragged her around. Yup, she'll win, thanks to the teabaggers. The better, more talented dancers are being thrown overboard for Palin spawn. Affirmative action! Bristol Palin is the affirmative action contestant! Just like her mother was the affirmative action VP candidate. Unqualified, and only picked because she is a woman. Conservatives have no problem with affirmative action as long as it benefits them.

The power of hollywood corseting, I tell you....they really had lots of people fooled with those amazing costumes.
This girl is very lucky she has the financial means, and potential TV talking-head career, to help support her children. Many young women do not have this luxury.
I could care less if she's pregnant, I just want her to stop lying about it and I want her to stop pretending she doesn't have sex. Sarah will look either clueless or like she is a liar, as well. But enough of this.

ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I laughed when they showed Mark and Brisket practicing. She was standing on a chair and he lifted her onto his shoulder and very slightly lost his balance. Then, when it came for dancing, they did NOT do a lift at all!!! The other 2 contestants had quite a few, you watch the whiner and you will see there was NO lift. Either she is too heavy for Mark to lift OR they're protecting her pregnancy.

This whole Palin exposure, especially with Bristol, is the saddest story ever told in this century. This girl will need counseling, therapy, because it's not meant for human beings to be under world-wide public scrutiny all the time. Her parents don't seem to care.
They just want the results of Bristol's hard work ethic to make Sarah look presidential. SP has to be the worst mother in the world, and while she's being the worst, she does it with a twinkle in her eye, and a smile.

Over on HuffPo, I commented about Bristol's dancing on a discussion thread about the finals. I said that Bristol dances pretty well for a pregnant lady. It was posted and then it disappeared. Nowhere else in the discussion has anyone talked about her unusual weight gain. I guess I was lucky to have my remark get posted - albeit for such a short time. As to the practice video, I distinctly remember a gray flash of baby belly in the beginning of the clip, when she was struggling to keep her tops from riding up over the gray sweats. Big as life.

Sounds like all these songs Bristhole danced to are cheap shots at Levi Johnston.
I think if I hear any of the Palins say "haters" one more time, I will actually begin to hate them.
ReplyDeleteRight now, I cannot stand them. Bristol has become her mother. Both whine, simper, and bemoan every little slight, and neither like to work very hard. If they do put out the slightest effort, they expect to be praised to high heaven for it.
Neither of them have had to suffer in their lives. Neither of them have had to develop real skills or learn social graces.
This is particularly sad when it comes to Bristol because she lacks the physical beauty of her mother or sister Willow so she is more or less leaching off her mother's shadow. It's not going to take long before she looks older than Sarah. I have a hunch she is going to be a bitter, disappointed woman - but more so than her mother.
Even if she'd never seen "Chicago" she could have Googled it, watched a youtube video, or done some research. It is no excuse to say she had never seen or and embarrassing to say on camera. Saying that she had never been to a Broadway show just perpetuates the stupid myth that Palin hated when she "thought" Katie Couric asked her what they "read up there in Alaska." I'm sure she had NO IDEA who Bob Fosse was when Carrie made the reference to him.

"look how sweet he treats her - kissng her, calling her baby (or babe)..." Reading that tosses the cookies topside. I think markis plying the game to get as much out of the cow as possible. Then, in hollywood freestyle, he'll never ring her bell agan.

I saw Chicago , the play right here in Chicago and Brisdull looked like a clodhopper and stuffed into that black sequined spanx outfit. her jive was a joke. Flat-footed and sorry, Bris but shaking your breasts/waving your flabby arms is NOT dancing. How awful. Of course the judges don't help her by praising that which doesn't exist.

ReplyDeleteI thought it was interesting that comments were made repeatedly by the pro dancers about the importance of the free style dance and expressing yourself, and that it was all about the lifts and flips... but Brisket didn't do much of anything, if anything even less effort, poor choreography, and NO lifts.

She is uncoordinated, sullen and morbid. She is playing the whiny victim. I don't like her for that and I hope she loses. There were many good people who got tossed by the Bots - so Miss WhinyA88 could win something else she didn't deserve.
DWTS has lost a lot of credibility - we'll see how well they do last year, after they've allowed all the cheating this season.
That "redemption" number really brought out one of the reasons Bristol always reminds me of a lumberjack trudging home through mud.
ReplyDeleteIf you watch her feet, she walks flat-footed. There is not spring in her step. She does actually trudge or lumber.
At first I thought we were all joking or using metaphors to describe the clumsy, almost bored style she has, but that dance number really made me wonder if we had tape of her walking in flat shoes for any distance if we could speed it up (because she always walks very, very slowly) would we notice that lumbering in normal life? Bet so.
It may just be a physical problem, but I wonder if Bristol lacks real joy in her life. She seems so bored, so pissed, so dull most of the time. Whatever - her physical, social, intellectual, and emotional limitations are clearly on display in this show. I don't think she will ever be more than she is right now because she doesn't have the curiosity and spark.
Let's stop all the preposterous abortion speak. We know neither Sarah nor Bristol would ever have one and there's no evidence to the contrary. Let' continue to focus on her growing baby bump and her non-refute about herself when she defended Willow against those pregnancy rumors.

Just to be clear, Bristol has never had a waist, even when she was skinny. She is a column with the propensity to become an apple. Her extra weight goes to her thighs, face, and arms leaving her upperbody pretty small. I know that jeans can severely diminish one's legs, but I can't get over how big her legs have gotten in 2 months

They did a lift in the freestyle. BRistol had said earlier that spin made her dizzy and she doesnt like lifts. Shes self conscious about her weight probably because she knows Mark is a petite guy. Without heels, Bristol is like an inch shorter than Mark

Bristol seems weighted-down (no pun, honest) with anger and suspicion. She moves and talks as if she's a disappointed bar fly in her forties, thinking life has passed her by.
I've seen brief flashes of hope in her face over the past two years, but they seem just that: flashes. Something or someone has done a mighty fine job of squelching the spontaneous, carefree zest for life out of her.
That takes years of concentrated effort, don't you think?

You gain muscle and bone weight, but not dress size, from exercise but your breasts do not balloon out.
There is the possibility that it is interment fluid retention, so we'll see.
She has greatly improved, which is to her credit, but she can't do dance steps and she often looks like a dancing fat girl.

Call it for what it is. People who denigrate affirmative action should check out how and why they may have ascended in their lives and careers; affirmative action does not mean unqualified people of color get jobs whites deserve. As the Palins demonstrate brains, morals, ethics, and couth aren't necessary to gain monetary success. Skin color is the ticket.

Watch her try to wiggle her tits in the jive. We've seen her do this shimmy move A LOT since it's the only one she seems to have mastered. Yet she didn't do it as well last night as she has in the past. Why? Because the corset they have her strapped into is configured in such a way as to fill in the gap between swollen breasts and belly, thus minimizing the baby bump. The downside is, she can't wiggle her chest the way she used to be able to. It's a dead giveaway.

ReplyDeleteA line drawn from the most posterior part of the buttocks through the most anterior part of the abdominal area is about 45%. That's pretty classic pregnancy when the fetus is still riding high in the uterus.

What a shame. There are so many talented kids out there that would have given anything to be on this show, and Ginorma is unwilling to just TRY a move that looks hard.
During their routine I noticed that most of the camera angles were either long shots, or very close shots.
Yes, Sarah Palin has done this to her daughters. She has pushed them before the public incessantly and she now has to face the consequences for her own poor judgement on that. If these girls were more in the background, like many political families, this wouldn't add up to such potential scandal. People might even respect their privacy if she asked politely - and also stopped talking about them constantly! They have all indicated they don't really care to guard their privacy however, no matter what they say, for they can't have it both ways. They seem to be too foolish to understand that their behavior, their actions, belie their supposed wishes that people would leave them alone.

I am a diehard Democrat, but I do recognize the traditional conservative type and I have to respect it as being simply a different perspective but one I vehemently don't agree with. There are probably many examples of sincere GOP politicians who know enough to put THEMSELVES in the spotlight, first and foremost - but sparingly - and damn sure if they do have a microphone they try to make sure they show true gravitas and say something substantive that will resonate authentically. But they usually have enough sense to know that THEY are the person in question, and that their families are separate and private to the greatest extent possible in a political environment. That's how it is normally done, and that is how it should be done just for the sake of the children alone. Sarah threw this idea overboard, from the very first. She has exploited her family ruthlessly, all while smiling and pretending she is innocent in this.
This woman is nothing more than a harpy. She is the epitome of shrill, and as someone on one of the networks commented this morning, it is unclear if she will ever offer the kind of reassuring, positive leadership vision - not just flowery quasi-religious jingoistic/nationalistic sentiments - that people are starved for. Really, a decent Republican would have a shot right now because people are struggling.
Listen up GOP, Sarah is not your girl. She will fail you, epically. (I am always torn because if she were to run I do think Obama would completely and totally trounce her.)
PS I agree, Bristol looks miserable and is it any wonder? Her mother has backed her into the most excruciating corner in front of the entire world. She looks like she does feel entitled to win with all her pouting and "it sucks!" proclamations, plus she is spinning this line about how she is the "most improved non-dancer". DWTS has never worked this way, fair or not, so it's silly to insist on this criteria now.

She is the epitome of shrill, and as someone on one of the networks commented this morning, it is unclear if she will ever offer the kind of reassuring, positive leadership vision - not just flowery quasi-religious jingoistic/nationalistic sentiments - that people are starved for. Really, a decent Republican would have a shot right now because people are struggling.
PS I agree, Bristol looks miserable and is it any wonder? Her mother has backed her into the most excruciating corner in front of the entire world. She looks like she does feel entitled to win with all her pouting and "it sucks!" proclamations, plus she is spinning this line about how she is the "most improved non-dancer". DWTS has never worked this way, fair or not, so it's silly to insist on this criteria now.

The constant camera exposure, her conservative dress, Christian values, and plain homeliness looks that the bots are so enamored with would be put out there weekly on national tv for them to enjoy. It wouldn't require any movements of grace as the dancing bit does, she would just need to stand there as she does during her 'dancing' routine. With her vocabulary 'skills' and down to earth earthiness, her interview style would be 'fresh'.
It's really a win-win situation in which the show can refocus on letting the better dancers dance and get the cow off the floor! Just sayin........

From what i remember of my pregnancies i couldn't suck my belly in that much , specially in the second trimester, which i think she would be in right now .

ReplyDeleteThat's the angle that has indicated pregnancy this entire time, whether she is in a heavy corset, her hoodie uniforms, or other layered casual clothing. They have tried to combat that revealing angle in so many clever ways, mostly with her costuming.
It has always been obvious from the side! They surely have bound her in, which in itself makes me sick.
For all the rehearsal footage we get to see there is probably plenty that has ended up on the cutting room floor. I am amazed at the carelessness or else the audacity of the producers this week.
Perhaps she is getting ready to be honest and just doesn't care anymore? Or is she going to disappear for awhile?
I imagine that she doesn't know how to eat right. This can lead to eating a lot of junk food high in sodium, which leads to water weight gain, swelling, etc.

My sister was very very disappointed. 1) Lack of footage of Homer, mostly centered around Sarah. 2) Sarah's horrible voice. 3) Sarah's disregard (&Bristol's) regarding the halibut. She said it was so unChristian, when given the beating heart of the halibut, that Sarah just said "gross", and threw it overboard. no reverance at all. 4) Wonder how Christian my sister would think Bristol is with her dancing? Together or as separate couples, they appear on other talk shows Wednesday and Thursday.
They don't usually have their dance wear on on these shows. Therefore it will be interesting to watch for lines etc in the clothing she wears as it could be tights or street clothing.
Under normal circumstances (i.e. lack of pregnancy or other unknown medical condition) Bristol is a very slim curvy flat bellied young woman. In the Harper's Bazar photo shoot on You Tube, with Willow and Tripp (Bristol throws a Tea Party), she is not the same person we see today.
ReplyDeleteI've been in the pregnant, but now I'm on the fence. She has gotten so much bigger all over. I'm overweight, but I swear her thighs are bigger than mine (with or without dance tights). Her upper arms look like mine, and I'm in my 60's. Some have commented that if she were fat, she would have rolls instead of a smooth abdomen of pregnancy. I thought about that and came to the conclusion that heavy girdling would smooth out the rolls. So I'm on the fence, leaning towards not pregnant, and wishing someone would get her to a doctor. Something is wrong.

Just watched Bristol's tango on You Tube with the original Chicago cast. The judges were nice to her in the comments. Dancing takes your whole body, not just legs and arms. Bristol obviously can't do that, so she has been given a pass and a pass, and a pass.

First I used my actual email address and then I decided to see if I could just make one up and see if it worked. Mark Ballas. Stop using this word and rolling yourself up in Palin politics. Stop defending Bristol by suggesting that she should win a dance contest on the premise that she had no prior performance experience. That's a different show, not Dancing With The Stars.

Other than that, not much. Mark is not only a miracle worker to get that much out of her, he probably needs to see a shrink just to get his sanity back from all the drama. I have a feeling behind closed doors, sp is going to pay dearly for making Bristol do this. Also, too, recently in that infamous Facebook exchange with the two potty-mouthed, foul Palin daughters, one of the guys posted, "I thought you already had that baby," referring to an earlier pregnancy Bristol had been thought to have this year. Which she either miscarried or aborted. Care to comment on that one? Again, also, too, if she's not pregnant NOW, just how many times WAS Bristol pregnant this year?
Because it was at least one time - probably two times.
Deal with reality. Just because you might be closely connected to the family (*hear us, Sarah/I mean theBetterFaceBookLurker?) doesn't mean you know bat shit. Billy takes Roxie's case and re-arranges her story for consumption by sympathetic tabloid columnist Mary Sunshine, who always tries to find "A Little Bit of Good" in everyone. Roxie's press conference turns into a ventriloquist act with Billy dictating a new version of the truth ("We Both Reached for the Gun") while Roxie mouths the words. Roxie becomes the new toast of Chicago as Velma's fame is left in the dust. Velma tries to talk Roxie into recreating the sister act ("I Can't Do It Alone"), but Roxie turns her down, only to find her own headlines replaced by the latest sordid crime of passion. Separately, Roxie and Velma realize there's no one they can count on but themselves ("My Own Best Friend"), and the ever-resourceful Roxie decides that being pregnant in prison would put her back on the front page.

I'm absolutely amazed that for other contestants beside the Palin child have gotten such caustic comments from the judges, i.e., footwork is atrocious to Kyle and they totally dumped on Michael Bolten. I've not heard one negative comments from the judges this season about the Palin child's dancing skills. I can only conclude that they have dumbed down their standards for this miserably talented contestant.

ReplyDeleteThank you! You wrote exactly what I was thinking. It was very thoughtfully written and polite. That to me had more of an impact then other notations on this site.
Some posters do seem to take a small gleeful delight in writing mean words (slutty, enormo..etc.) about Bristol.
A couple of times I went to a comment section on one of the main sports sites after reading the story and the words were horrible. The posters there showed the anger, hate and yes 'gleeful' tearing down of that person. Anyone that disagreed with them was spewed disdain upon them in following posts.
I like this site, I check in everyday and enjoy the stories but some comments can get a little .... old and mean.
I am by no means a fan of the Palins (I REALLY can't stand her) but there is a difference between writing styles in expressing a positive or negative and your post was nicely done. Thank You.

For God's sake these were the DWTS finals and Bristol's getting paid a boatload of money to do this, yet she acts like they're forcing her to clean toilets! I feel so sorry for Mark who was stuck with this trainwreck and had to constantly reassure her and hug her and build her up just to get her to move her feet twice an hour! ReplyDeleteYesterday, I was driving a rental car and having enough trouble figuring out the mirrors and the heater that I didn't get to the radio before I got on the road. Rush Limbaugh was on. He did a short segment on Bristol DWTS that was, honestly, incomprehensible because it really didn't have a point.
ReplyDeleteHis said that the left was mad because Bristol was winning. And, he was using it as a demonstration of her mom's popularity. He stopped short of saying, "VOTE!" but I got the feeling that it was implied by his approval of her popularity (though, luckily, he didn't make up any lies about Bristol being any good, like most of the pro-Palin blogs do).
Of course she is going to win.

We've seen the judges ignore Bristol's lack of effort and talent, we've heard the producer deny there was any wrong doing with the voting. Face it, the whole production crew has to be in on the fact that she is pregnant, making easy dances for her, creating camoflauging costumes and holding her to a much lower standard. ReplyDeleteI know that some folks are on the fence about the baby bump, but women do not increase in bust size like that unless they are pregnant. They just don't. Many women gain 2 cup sizes while pregnant, and Bristol has.
I will literally have a stroke if it turns out that Palin isn't pregnant. There is no way for a woman to gain weight like that when exercising this much!

I do think that Bristol is 6 months now, give or take 2 weeks. She can't legally abort anywhere in the US, and clinics that do LTA only do them when the mother is in danger or the fetus is severely disabled. Trying to obtain an illegal abortion this far along is tremendously difficult and dangerous.
I wonder if there is a family waiting for Bristol to deliver in 3 months.
Ok, I know this may be way out there but here goes. Bristol and Levi got back together in what? July? and announced they would be getting married. Then things didn't work out and they split again. Does anyone think that Bristol might have gotten pregnant again with Levi at that time and that is why she is looking pregnant right now? Are they paying Levi off to keep his mouth shut until after DWTS is over and done before Bristol announces her pregnancy with the same father, Levi? Levi seems to be hanging very low key lately.

ReplyDeleteI told my hubby that this week the judges would be praising Bristol no matter how her dance turned out because so many people are mad they have to make it LOOK like she will have earned the winning spot as well as getting as far as she has. Not only that ABC has brought people "stars" forward on ET and other media to state how much they think Bristol has earned this position. Well, the judges did just what I said they would. Her dance in the cage was STUPID and looked like she was just running all over the stage with ribbon like a 10 old little girl playing in her bedroom. She looked like a dang pole dancer as well. Now here is the latest rumor. Palin is trying to get Christine McDonnell on the next DWTS. I think her goal is to make it look like the teathugs can win anything and continue to give her more coverage! This woman NEEDS to go away!
ReplyDeleteAt first I don't think SP knew about the condition but it would be hard not to know now. I think that now it is all about keeping it under wraps at such a critical money- making time (TLC show and book release). They will try to do so for as long as possible until something makes them (if ever revealed) address it. I'm sure they're working on what they'll say at that time so that they are still just the "everyday people" that SP's supporters all think make her so great.

Bristol the stupid pistol should have never come this far, that is what we all know. DWTS is the worst show on earth, they are trying to save their collective ass! I hope this program fails from here on in. It reminds me of the stupid Kate Gosselin crap last season and how far she went. I guess it's all about the ratings. May be Bristol and Levi secretly eloped during her re-virgined and second engagement media splash. She learned that he was doing Lanesia again and Lanesia was pregnant or claimed to sleep with everyone and Levi or everyone but Levi. Lanesia was just so loose and she fed her story to some scandal sheet or she didn't but never cleared any of the rumors up. It's a good time for Levi to keep his mouth shut.

Actually Meghan has some dance experience and knows as much as Bristol about how to fake sex acts onstage. Remember that she participates in those Sturgis biker events. And Jenna knows about moaning and writhing on the floor.
To make it fair to all contestants, ALL of the "stars" ought to be politicians or close relatives with name recognition.
