Well now I don't know WHAT to expect on Sunday. (Mystery cleared up. US Magazine changed their video, and it now gives December 12, as the broadcast date for the Kate Gosselin episode. You can see a preview by clicking Gosselin's name in the link above.)
Will we see Sister Sarah breaking Alaska Fish and Game laws by hunting for Caribou without a proper permit? Or will we see Sarah tease and make fun of her out of state guest in order to make herself feel superior?
Or maybe we will see some combination of the two, where Sarah takes Gosselin out into the woods and shoots her out of season and then comes back to the camp and teases her eight children about never seeing their mommy again. (You know I think THAT'S the one that sounds the most like the Grizzled Mama!)
By the way if Kate Gosselin was REALLY relying on Sarah Palin to protect her from ANYTHING then she has not been paying much attention as to how Bible Spice Barbie takes care of her "friends." Just ask Elizabeth Hasselback.

ReplyDeleteFor all that is wrong with Kate Gosselin, I have never seen the women disparage her husband publicly. I watch her construct her sentences very carefully so that she, at least, shows us that she always acts in a way that her kids come first. I am sure she is not perfect, and she exploits her children as well, but at least she attempts to try to say and do the right thing by her kids--I don't always buy it and frankly, don't pay much attention to her, but the few times I have seen her interviewed, she is far more mature, has much more class and tact, and is guarded in her answers than scara will ever hope to be. Why she would want to spend any time with sp is puzzling and makes me not believe anything I just typed. TLC sure sold a bill of goods when they came up with this episode. I bet Kate Gosselin will be cringing for weeks after, but happily cashing her checks all the same.

That story came out probably as a result of E's disapproval of Sarah's anti anti obesity comments. Except Sarah has never come out against anti anti obesity. The Palins lead active lifestyles; they are purely outdoor people who have tons of gym equipment. While I don't think she approached the let's move program right, she has a point. We dont have the money to fund such campaigns and people are going to eat what they want no matter who says what.
We as a country need to seriously think about cutting back the damn welfare and unempl programs. There are jobs people. NO ONE IN THIS COUNTRY IS ABOVE WORKING AT MICKEY Ds. If thats the only job that stands between you and govt checks, you take it. Some people have looked up the website for Alaska game and fishing licenses, and it seems that Sarah doesn't have a permit for commercial fishing (salmon and halibut) nor does she have a hunting permit. Did Gryphen also mention that summer is not hunting season? Seriously, everyone involved in those staged reality scenes should have had a license because they were involved in taking and killing fish, and they are going to be involved in shooting at animals. The license is not given only if you catch a fish or shoot an animal; it is given for trying. As they say in Arizona, "show me your papers."

I agree. I don't think that Sarah Palin has to go out and hunt food for her family - she makes multi millions of dollars a year now. Hopefully she understands that there are many people in her state that are poor and in need of assistance and she will at least donate whatever she shoots for tv to the needy. Perhaps I expect too much. Additionally, I don't get the whole Annie Oakley thing -- people in the lower 48 don't do this shit for the most part and many don't think much of Sarah Palin out there bagging a beast that looks an awful lot like one of Santa's reindeer for dinner. A lot of people will find Sarah's gleeful participation in killing things offensive.
