Rolling Stone Magazine slaps the crocodile tears from John Boehner's face and reveals the corrupt bastard behind them.

From Rolling Stone:

The anger of Tea Partiers like Littleton erupted when they suddenly realized that their elected leaders in Congress had developed a primary allegiance not to constituents back home or even to ideology, but to themselves and their own dissolute, pay-for-play, you-scratch-mine, I'll-scratch-yours intramural bureaucratic calculus. Voters got mad when leaders covered up sex scandals, partied on corporate junkets when they should have been working on the public dime, wasted mountains of taxpayer money on political witch hunts instead of working to stave off another financial crisis or terrorist attack — and they got mad, especially, when congressional leaders stopped having the common decency to hide the lavish gifts funneled to them by their lobbyist pals in exchange for political favors, parading around in public with their goodies in hand without even caring how it looked.

The irony is, no one — no one — represents all of these bile-inspiring qualities better than John Boehner. His most striking achievement is that there's a check mark next to his name on virtually every entry on the list of common public complaints about Congress. And yet, when the Republicans rolled back into the control of the House this past November on the strength of a nationwide Throw-the-Bums-Out movement, it was Boehner, the prototypical bum, who somehow clambered onto the congressional throne. It's hard to imagine that in all of American political history there has been a more unlikely marriage than John Boehner and the pitchfork-wielding, incumbent-eating Tea Party, whose blood ostensibly boils at the thought of business as usual. Because John Boehner is business as usual, a man devoted almost exclusively to ensuring his own political survival by tending faithfully to the corrupt and clanking Beltway machinery. How? Let us count the ways.

This is a must read for those of us who realized a long time ago the hypocrisy behind the teabagger movement and that the biggest obstacles to their stated goals are presented by the very party with whom they have aligned themselves.

    The prototypical bum. Man, do they nail it or what? Why is it that Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair have the cajones to do the real investigative, light-shedding work?

    What is wrong with the MSM that they ease the path to two unwinnable and high cost wars and allow our rights to be curbed and debt to build without checks? Allow Fox News and all these bullshit conservative think tanks and ivory towers to dictate facts without calling on it's truthiness?

    Oh yeah, these are the guys that let Bush steamroll Florida and take us on for a worser second term and let the likes of Sarah Palin be a game changer in the national discourse without question and veracity.

    Long live the Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair.

    o/t this is kind of random but I've noticed that teens and 20 somethings in Alaska travel out of state a lot. Vacations are aplenty. PFDs aren't that much are they? Are these younguns just good at saving money or what? Hawaii, Cali, AZ, WA, NY, FL seem to be popular and frequent destinations for Alaskan youth trips.

    I think it's funny how we all psych ourselves into thinking politicians are unhappy or depressed or whatever evil thing we fabricate, when in reality pretty much all of them are sublimely happy.

    "What is wrong with the MSM...?" is that they are a wholly owned subsidy of the ruling oligarcy/corporatocracy, corporations themselves, whose primary allegiance is their owners, and not to the people. See the lack of any independent investigation into the events of 9/11/01, and complete kowtowing to the Republicans. There is no such thing as the "liberal" media; it is controlled by conservatives.

    In order for you to say that, you must be one of those sublimely happy ones. But if you were one of those, you wouldn't have to tell me how sublimely happy you are.

    The last thing the Palins are is sublimely happy. They make that obvious by their demeanor.

    And you're obviously not a politician (nor sublimely happy).

    It will be interesting to see what happens when the Republicans and Obama go after Social Security.

    After all it was the middle aged and elderly Tee Peeers who wielded the Keep Your Hands Off Our SS signs in 2008.

    I am just amazed that the Repo-media have managed to keep them in the dark about the destruction of SS that the Republicans are planning.

    Hopefully the Dimss have waked up to the fact that they need to be running full time PR ads on radio, TV billboards etc. If they don't they will end up in 2012 looking like Wiley E. Coyote, at the end or the cartoon and it won't be funny.

    I think that the tide has turned on the "corrupt bastards club" in D.C. I get the sense that the public won't accept the business-as-usual model from the GOP. However, the GOP believes that their new found power is because they've won over the country and America is becoming more conservative. Accordingly, they are going to do nothing except whore for big business and try and hamstring Obama. I just don't get the feeling that most people are willing to put up with their bullshit any longer.

    Won't Big Orange Boner and the GOP - that sounds like a bad band name - be surprised when they get tossed out on their asses in two years.

    I hate to go totally off topic here, but this video is something I think you need to see. Two people have died in AZ due to Brewer and the republicans cutting off the funding for transplants they were promised. According to the video, the people in AZ are outraged. Those who voted for her should have seen this coming since all Brewer offered them were talking points. Real life death panels are in practice in AZ.

    I notice that the trolls who are posting here have a lot to say about President Obama and the democrats, but they have nothing to say in reaction to RS pulling the sheet of lies off of the Orange Bone Man.

    And for the troll who says that President Obama will cut Social Security, I hate that you have the power to cast votes in elections.

    You don't even know that the Constitution prohibits a president from introducing bills into either House of Congress. This is why we have 3 branches of government. Your comment shows that you don't even know how our national government works. America is NOT a dictatorship.

    Go to the nearest library and check out a political science book. It's a better use of your time than spending time on liberal blogs telling lies and trying to stir $h!t up on a blog where you aren't wanted, and one where no one except another dittohead believes anything you say..

    Well this post is the real story today.

    Not some lame tv show.

    Not the speculation about whether some wannabee media maven and former politician has a spouse suspected of extracurricular activities.

    The depths of incompetence are extreme.

    Howza bout Sessions and the other fool not sworn in- they skipped out to a fundraiser instead of being sworn in. Then started participating as if they were sworn in. The reading of the Constitution before being sworn in also null and void too? Just the beginning.

    I personally agree with Gryphen about 2011 being the year that has a big surprise or two.

    On the steps of the capitol, their illustrious leader, John the weeper, held up his "copy of the Constitution" last year, "pledging to "stand here with our Founding Fathers who wrote in the pre-amble: 'We hold these truths to be self evident ..." , and was so confused/ignorant/drunk, quoted the declaration of Independence .

    "The pre-amble to the Constitution :

    We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America."

    In his own words;

    Now he spends over 1 million$$ to have congress read an incomplete version of the document, in order to comply with GOBPer's revisionist history , whilst he is out giving a press conference and two of his new members miss being sworn in, because they are illegally fundraising in the visitors gallery.

    Can these two members from Texas be impeached before they are sworn in?

    This is only the first day!!!!

    I hope those who voted for these fools consider their folly.
