This can be found almost hidden in a rather expansive article on Boehner courtesy of Politico:
Boehner never accepted an earmark in Congress—and he enjoyed railing against those who did. His heckling once provoked Don Young, an Alaskan himself, to pin Boehner against a wall inside the House chamber and hold a 10-inch knife to his throat. Boehner says he stared Young in the eyes and said, “Fuck you.” (Young says this account is “mostly true,” but notes that the two became good friends, with Boehner later serving as his best man.)
I talked with my pal Dennis Zaki about this anecdote last night and we both agreed that this will only help Young politically in Alaska, as most Republicans up here do not really like John Boehner, and a lot of old timers likely see nothing wrong with using a knife to help negotiate a deal.
(I've certainly had my share of knives pulled on me.)
The article also contains other interesting nuggets, including the fact that Boehner had this to say about Congressmen Jason Chaffetz and Jim Jordan:
“Fuck Jordan. Fuck Chaffetz. They’re both assholes.”
You know that is the kind of talk which might actually get some Alaskans to change their negative opinion of ole John Boehner.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

John Boehner refers to Ted Cruz as "Lucifer in the flesh" and calls him "a miserable son-of-a-bitch." Update!
Courtesy of CBS News:
John Boehner sounded off a litany of insults for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz Wednesday night, labelling the Texas senator "Lucifer in the flesh" and a "miserable son of a bitch."
"I have Democrat friends and Republican friends," the former House speaker said during a frank on-stage discussion at Stanford University Wednesday. "I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life."
Hard to argue with those characterizations.
My favorite part of this story is Cruz's response to Boehner's words.
"The truth of the matter is -- I don't know the man," Cruz said at a press conference in Indiana. "I've met John Boehner two or three times in my life. If I have said 50 words in my life to John Boehner I'd be surprised, and every one of them has consisted of pleasantries."
I actually heard Cruz give this response on video and yes it was just as whiny and butt hurt as it appears in print.
Of course the problem for Cruz is that every other person who worked with him in the Senate has a similar opinion.
Remember that before Lindsey Graham became so freaked out about Donald Trump's nomination that he ran screaming into Ted Cruz's arms, he once said this about him:
"If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you."
Even the Republican money men who are panicky about a Trump nomination cannot bring themselves to give Cruz any money to stop him.
Personally I really don't need for John Boehner or Lindsey Graham to explain to me why Ted Cruz is a disgusting SOB. That fact is glaringly obvious every time I see him on my TV screen.
Update: I actually wrote this post fairly early in the day yesterday to be robo-posted this morning.
Since that time this story has received quite a lot of additional attention.
In fact the Satanists have also now had the opportunity to chime in:
Boehner’s comment is illustrative of how well past time it is to adjust our mythologies to reflect our realities. Cruz’s failures of reason, compassion, decency, and humanity are products of his Christian pandering, if not an actual Christian faith. It grows tedious when pedophile priests and loathsome politicians are conveniently dismissed as Satanic, even as they spew biblical verse and prostrate themselves before the cross, recruiting the Christian faithful. Satanists will have nothing to do with any of them.
Just when you thought that Ted Cruz could not be dissed any harder. Now it is even an insult to Satan for him to be compared to Satan.

John Boehner suggests that the Democrats are not serious about gun control, and that "The president can rail all he wants."
Courtesy of HuffPo:
If Democrats really cared about gun violence, they would have done something about it when they were running Washington, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) charged Wednesday.
Boehner was responding to a question about whether or not Congress should reconsider barring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from studying gun violence as a health issue, especially since Republicans have repeatedly argued that addressing mental illness is the way to prevent mass shootings.
Boehner said the the topic has not come up in his talks.
"I don’t think there’s been any discussions at this point. It’s not been part of the discussions," he told reporters on Capitol Hill before expressing sympathy for the nine people killed and nine more wounded in last week's massacre in Roseburg, Oregon.
"We’ve seen far too many of these," Boehner said, before putting the onus on Democrats.
"In '09 and '10, we had Democrat majorities in the House and Senate. We had a Democrat president. And this clearly was not a priority for them. The president can rail all he wants," Boehner said, referring to President Barack Obama's angry denunciation last week of Congress' failure to address the issue.
Actually the Democrats HAVE repeatedly attempted to pass new gun legislation in the wake of these horrendous massacres and have been blocked time and time again.
As for Boehner's contention that the Democrats had a filibuster proof majority in '09 and '10 well that is not exactly accurate.
And finally addressing Boehner's comment on mental health, well if he wants to encourage the Republicans to start pouring billions of dollars into the poorly funded mental health programs, that is very welcome news.
However he and his fellow straw man manufacturers should know that it will not prevent a single death from gun violence in this country.

Sarah Palin provides the perfect example for why John Boehner wants to get the hell out of politics.
So apparently Breitbart was looking around trying to find the most insignificant person they could locate to give their opinion on John Boehner leaving Congress and his role as House Speaker.
They settled on Sarah Palin:
Palin noted, “The silver lining for the political establishment is that with all the time John Boehner has in the next year before he can legally become a lobbyist for special interests he represented as Speaker, he can work on his golf handicap.”
When told the news of Boehner’s resignation, Governor Palin expressed astonishment and delight, “Holy! That’s huge. Let’s thank John Boehner for his service and wish him a long and peaceful retirement.”
Palin then decided to take a victory lap:
Here’s the deal: grassroots conservatives’ commitment to adhering to the Constitution and to restoring America’s freedom and free enterprise is very real. You can only thwart the will of the people for so long. First Eric Cantor, now John Boehner. Senate leadership that’s now on notice surely takes this seriously. The conservative grassroots is calling out the permanent political class and that’s reflected in the GOP presidential polls. Bold, independent Congressmen in Washington prove they’re to be reckoned with now, and they deserve voters’ thanks for doing what we sent them to do – shake up the status quo and get the country back on track. These Congressmen are in it for the right reason, and they ought to celebrate another victory for the grassroots! Thank them!
Yes good job to Sarah Palin and the Teabaggers.
They have now broken the government so completely that Congress is now almost completely ineffective.
But hey do you know who is still getting things done at an almost startling rate?
Yep, this guy.
So you keep right on calling for infighting among Republicans and a do nothing approach to governance, because all that does is make the President's job that much easier.

John Boehner to quit as Speaker of the House at the end of October.
Courtesy of AOL News:
In a stunning move, House Speaker John Boehner informed Republicans on Friday that he would step down at the end of October, giving up his coveted leadership post and his seat in Congress in the face of hardline conservative opposition.
The 13-term Ohio Republican shocked his GOP caucus early Friday morning when he informed them of his decision in a closed-door session. It came one day after the high point of Boehner's congressional career, a historic speech by Pope Francis to Congress at Boehner's request.
Rep. John Mica, R-Fla., said Boehner "just does not want to become the issue. Some people have tried to make him the issue both in Congress and outside."
Yeah I think that Boehner realizes that the writing is on the wall concerning his chances for be elected Speaker again, and its getting out while the getting is good.
The Right Wing has been gunning for him for years now and it was only a matter of time before they wore his old orange ass out.
I cannot begin to imagine what kind of yahoo the Republicans might elect to take his place, but I imagine that the partisanship in the House is only going to get much worse going forward.
But hey, maybe at least this time maybe they will elect a guy who does not cry every time the wind blows.
In front to the Pope and everything. That is just pathetic.

Visiting Washington DC. Come for the political gridlock, stay for the free guns left in the Capitol bathrooms.
![]() |
They found a gun where? |
When a member of Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s security detail left his Glock and magazine stuffed in the toilet seat cover holder of a Capitol Visitor Center bathroom stall, a CVC worker found the gun, according to a source familiar with the Jan. 29 incident and two other disturbing instances when Capitol Police left loaded firearms in problematic places.
A 7- or 8-year-old child visiting the Capitol with his parents found the next loaded Glock lost by a dignitary protection officer, according to the source. A member of the security detail for John A. Boehner, R-Ohio, allegedly left the firearm in the bathroom of the Speaker’s Suite on March 24.
A third Glock was found the night of April 16 by a janitor cleaning the Capitol Police headquarters building on D Street NE. The weapon was left in plain sight, sparking additional concern about the department charged with protecting one of the world’s most important and frequently visited complexes.
The Hill Blotter also explains that the Glock does not have a "traditional safety" which means that lucky seven or eight year old could have been happily exercising his 2nd Amendment rights all over the halls of Congress. Boy I bet THAT would have made the NRA proud.
And remember folks, more guns means a safer America.

John Boehner goes to Israel. And then joins Ted Cruz in announcing that "the world is on fire."
While there Bohner made the following histrionic statement:
“I wouldn’t have believed that I would be involved in as much foreign policy as I am today,” Boehner said in his hotel near Jerusalem’s Old City. “And it certainly isn’t by choice. It’s just that the world is on fire. And I don’t think enough Americans or enough people in the administration understand how serious the problems that we’re facing in the world are.”
Yeah you know who else cannot believe that Boehner has injected himself into foreign policy? The American people.
And Boehner's constant undermining of the President places our country, and in fact the entire world in danger.
Yes indeed we are facing some very serious problems today, and a truckload of those problems can be traced right back to the Republican led Congress.
How interesting that Boehner now adopts the same language used by the most melodramatic attention seeker in his party, Ted Cruz, who famously used that "world on fire" line to frighten a small child.
Apparently the line between the irrational rabid Right Wing and the so-called GOP establishment is becoming less and less defined.

President Obama trolls the Republicans by using their own predictions of doom and gloom against them.
I like how this video plays the Republicans actually making the statements as Obama shoots them down word for word.
And yes I think this President deserves to take a little credit. Hell he deserves to take a mountain of credit.

President Obama needles Republicans during Gridiron Club dinner.
Courtesy of AOL:
Getting older changes a guy, President Barack Obama says, and he admits he's getting crankier.
"Next week I'm signing an executive order to get off my lawn," Obama joked Saturday night at the Gridiron Club and Foundation's annual dinner. On top of that, the nation's graying chief executive says he's having trouble now with his morning cup of joe. "Coffee really disagrees with me these days," he says, "which is why John Boehner just invited coffee to address the joint House."
Obama's standup routine drew laughs from the audience of more than 650 journalists, lawmakers, administration officials, military officials and others at the Gridiron's 130th gathering. By tradition, Washington insiders put aside their differences for an evening of laughter, schmoozing and charity fundraising.
Obama targeted himself - "Just a few years ago I couldn't imagine being in my 50s. Given my approval ratings, I still can't" - as well as people in the government and the media that cover it.
Noting that Walker remarked recently that he couldn't say whether Obama was a Christian, the president said his religion taught forgiveness and cracked, "So, Gov. Walker, salaam alaikum."
Obama said he generally likes Boehner, the House speaker, and noted talk of unhappy House Republicans planning a coup - "or as Bill O'Reilly calls it, 'reporting from the war zone.'"
The Obama Diary has essentially the whole performance by the President, which includes these knee slappers:
Governors Walker and Perry are not the only possible 2016-ers here tonight. We also have Dr. Ben Carson. He wants to make it clear that being here was a choice. The fact is, Doctor, embracing homosexuality is not something you do because you go to prison. It’s something you do because your Vice President can’t keep a secret on “Meet the Press.” (Laughter.)
And we can’t just focus on 2016, people. We just had an election. This new Congress is just getting started, which is why I want to acknowledge the leader of the House Republicans — as soon as I figure out who that is. (Laughter.)
And as much as I like to make fun of my friends in the GOP and the media, it’s not like this is an easy time to be a Democrat. They’re turning last year’s midterms into a movie; it’s called “50 Shades of Red.”
But, as was noted, we are determined to bounce back. The Democratic Party recently analyzed the midterm elections, and concluded we have to spend more time focused on older white voters — which is why I’m here. (Laughter and applause.)
Ahh the Comedian-in-Chief strikes again.
Hey you know maybe Jon Stewart can hang in there for another two years and Obama can take over the Daily Show when he finishes out his second term next year.
I mean it's not nearly as prestigious as becoming a Supreme Court Justice, but I know I'd watch.

MoveOn.org launches petition to hold John Boehner accountable for violating the "Logan Act."
![]() |
"If you turn a little more to the right I can stab you in the back a little deeper." |
By his inviting a foreign leader to address Congress, John Boehner deliberately dealt in foreign policy and thus violated the "Logan Act", thus usurping the powers of the presidency of the United States.
In so doing, Boehner also deliberately violated the "separation of powers" clause in the US Constitution. By law, he must now be tried by Congress, and forced to resign.
Under the "Logan Act" of 1799, (1 Stat. 613, 30 January 1799, currently codified at 18 U.S.C. § 953) Executive power to engage in Foreign Policy is ONLY vested in the President of the United States of America.
The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 30 January 1799, currently codified at 18 U.S.C. § 953) specifically forbids any unauthorized citizens from negotiating with foreign governments.
The Act is intended to prohibit United States citizens without authority from interfering in relations between the United States and foreign governments.
It was passed in 1799 and last amended in 1994. Violation of the Logan Act is a felony, punishable under federal law with imprisonment of up to three years.
I don't usually have a lot of confidence in the ability of petitions to inspire real change, however considering that the rabid Republican base wants Boehner out anyhow, well you never know.
What I think we can all agree on is that John Boehner sucks at his job, and inviting Netanyahu to speak to the Congress and sabotage the President's progress with Iran, was completely unconscionable.
And as it turns out, possibly illegal.
Anyhow I signed the petition.

John Boehner blinks, House passes clean DHS bill with no attempt to defund Obama's immigration executive order.
Courtesy of CNN:
The House cleared legislation Tuesday that will keep the agency operating through the end of September after a standoff last week threatened to shutter the agency and furlough thousands of workers. The 257-167 vote sends the bill to President Barack Obama for his signature.
Republican House Speaker John Boehner, who rarely casts votes, backed the bill, along with his top lieutenants. A majority of House Republicans opposed the bill. Just 75 GOP lawmakers joined with 182 Democrats to push it across the finish line.
The legislation does nothing to rein in Obama's immigration executive orders -- a top priority of conservatives. That issue was a sticking point for weeks as Republicans tried to tie DHS funding to the repeal of the orders but the party couldn't overcome Democratic filibusters in the Senate.
Seriously who didn't know that eventually the Republicans were going to have to cave on this?
I mean how did the so-called "party of fighting terrorism" think they were going to be able to justify refusing to fund the Department of Homeland Security?
But you know this is REALLY going to piss off the teabaggers and they are going to work non-stop to remove Boehner from his leadership position.

House Republicans are so obstinate that they cannot even bring themselves to agree with other Republicans.
Courtesy of HuffPo:
The House of Representatives voted Friday night to avert a shutdown of the Department of Homeland Security, so they can come back and have the same fight in a week.
The vote was the result of a divide between Republicans in the House and Senate over whether to surrender now or hold out for one more week. The GOP had been hoping to use the DHS funding battle to block President Barack Obama's latest executive actions on immigration. Senate Democrats successfully pushed Republican leaders to allow a full-year DHS bill without immigration riders. That legislation passed the Senate 68 to 31 earlier on Friday, after even the most hardline Republicans said the effort to kill Obama's plans through the funding bill was futile.
But House Republicans weren't ready to cave. Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) brought a three-week continuing resolution to a vote Friday afternoon, only to be blocked when 52 Republicans joined the majority of Democrats in opposing it. House GOP leaders had to regroup, apparently reaching a deal with the more conservative members of their caucus to bring up a smaller stopgap measure that would keep operations running at DHS for just one more week.
The Senate first passed the one-week continuing resolution by a voice vote, just hours before DHS was poised to shut down. The House then approved the measure by a roll call vote of 357 to 60. President Barack Obama signed it into law just before midnight. A majority of Democrats joined Republicans to vote for the short-term fix, after House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) told her colleagues that the passage of the one-week resolution would assure a vote on a full funding bill next week.
This is of course nothing but really bad Kabuki theater, because when a week is up and the Republicans try to force through a funding bill that strips funding for the immigration piece, the President will veto it, and they will be back at square one.
I know the Republicans are hoping that the American people will blame any government shutdown or defunding of Homeland Security on Obama, but history has proven that is unlikely to be the case.
Right now the American people are watching is disgust as the Republicans, who now control both the House and the Senate, fight among themselves while the President pushes to do something significant about our broken immigration policies.
This seems like a lose/lose for the GOP, and a huge win for the man in the Oval Office.

Even Fox News is shocked at the Republicans for inviting Israel Prime Minister Netanyahu. And at Netanyahu for accepting.
Courtesy of Vox:
Fox News is not exactly known as an ally of the Obama administration, especially when it comes to disputes between Obama and House Speaker John Boehner, or disputes between Obama and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Yet two prominent Fox News hosts, Chris Wallace and Shepherd Smith, harshly criticized Boehner and Netanyahu on Friday for secretly arranging a Netanyahu speech to Congress that is transparently aimed at undermining President Obama, and set up without the White House's knowledge.
The White House, State Department, and many foreign policy observers, including prominent former US ambassador to Israel Martin Indyk, expressed outrage over the move. And, in a sign of just how many lines Boehner and Netanyahu crossed, so did the two Fox News hosts.
"I agree 100 percent," Wallace said when Smith read a quote from Indyk criticizing the Boehner-Netanyahu maneuver. Wallace went on:
"And to make you get a sense of really how, forgive me, wicked, this whole thing is, the Secretary of State John Kerry met with the Israeli Ambassador to the United States for two hours on Tuesday, Ron Dermer. The ambassador, never mentioned the fact that Netanyahu was in negotiations and finally agreed to come to Washington, not to see the president, but to go to Capitol Hill, speak to a joint session of congress and criticize the president's policy. I have to say I'm shocked."
I have to say when you do something so outrageous that even your propagandists cannot endorse, you HAVE to know that you have stepped over a line.
At least one would think.
You know if I were the Republicans I would think long and hard about how angry I wanted to make the President at them.
The man has been extraordinarily patient with them so far, but much like the Incredible Hulk, I don;t think they'd like him when he's angry.

Republicans release their own video of the President's SOTU speech in which they edit out remarks criticizing them over their stance on climate change. Well of course they did.
The official website for House Republicans has posted on YouTube a version of President Obama’s State of the Union address which cuts out comments where the President was critical of Republican rhetoric on climate change, ThinkProgress has learned.
On John Boehner's official You Tube page he offers the "enhanced" version of the speech which features embedded images and factoids that refute much of what the President was saying.
Oh and it does one more thing:
At the 43:25 minute mark, President Obama is supposed to say “I’ve heard some folks try to dodge the evidence by saying they’re not scientists; that we don’t have enough information to act. Well, I’m not a scientist, either. But you know what — I know a lot of really good scientists at NASA, and NOAA, and at our major universities. The best scientists in the world are all telling us that our activities are changing the climate, and if we do not act forcefully, we’ll continue to see rising oceans, longer, hotter heat waves, dangerous droughts and floods, and massive disruptions that can trigger greater migration, conflict, and hunger around the globe.” Instead, the entire section is skipped. Obama’s comments resume with “The Pentagon says that climate change poses immediate risks to our national security. We should act like it.”
Gee I wonder why the Republicans were so sensitive about THAT part?
Could it be becasue it demonstrated how full of crap they were in their argument over climate change? Hmmm?
Well I have only on thing to say to that.
By they way Politifact has also been fact checking the President's speech and for the most part he got just about everything right.

John Boehner's bartender arrested for threatening to kill him.
![]() |
"Jokes' on him. I've been embalmed for decades now." |
A federal grand jury has indicted an Ohio man on charges of trying to poison House Speaker John Boehner.
Michael Hoyt of Deer Park called 911 in October and told dispatchers that he had wanted to poison Boehner, R-Ohio, at the Wetherington Country Club in West Chester, where Hoyt was a bartender, according to court documents. Hoyt was indicted Jan. 7.
Officers from the Deer Park Police Department met with Hoyt, who told officers that he was Jesus Christ and was going to kill Boehner because the speaker was "mean" to him at the country club. Hoyt then told officers that he had a gun, and he planned to shoot Boehner and take off, according to the documents.
Hoyt was voluntarily taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center for a psychiatric evaluation at the time.
The man also stated that he thought John Boehner is the devil, which I have to admit makes sense. I mean I don't personally believe in the devil but if I did he would look almost exactly like John Boehner.
The bartender also believes that Boehner is responsible for the Ebola virus.
First I want to say that this is a horrible situation and I am glad they caught this guy before he harmed one hair on Speaker Boehner's giant orange head.
Having said that I also think that this would have been the perfect crime.
After all who has more contact with John Boehner than his bartender?
Okay well maybe the attendant at the tanning salon, but the bartender is definitely a close second.
Maybe Congress should launch an investigation. You know just to be sure that John Boehner is NOT the devil. Couldn't hurt.

Sarah Palin takes four minutes to tell her subscribers that she does not know what she thinks about term limits.
I was actually looking for something else when I stumbled across this episode of "Ask Me Anything" from the Sarah Palin Channel.
Essentially it demonstrates the kind of meandering, undisciplined manner in which Palin actually ponders questions that she does not understand, when there is no script in front of her to keep her focused.
You might think that she would do a little research, and have an actual response, before turning on the cameras. But nope, that is how the Leftists respond to questions, not crazy self described "constitutional conservatives."
My favorite part is that she is so disinterested in the topic that in the last moments she actually pulls out her cell phone and starts checking it while she is still talking.
And remember, people are paying her to provide this kind of content.
Now compare that to her recent appearance on Fox News yesterday when she was still pushing for John Boehner to be replaced.
Can you believe she said "balls to the walls?" So classy.
Did you see her bounce up and smile from ear to ear when Stuart Varney suggests that she won her debate against PETA?
Sickening.
Especially after she doubled down on the "At least Trig didn't eat the dog" remark.

John Boehner easily wins reelection as Speaker of the House despite pathetic attempt by Teabaggers to oust him.
The House of Representatives voted Tuesday to once again make John Boehner its speaker, handing the Ohio Republican the gavel for the third time despite a late challenge by dissatisfied members of his own party. Tuesday's vote saw the most votes against a sitting speaker since 1923.
In the final tally, Boehner received the votes of 216 House members, while House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) received 164 votes. A number of discontented Republicans, however, voted for other candidates, including Rep. Daniel Webster (R-Fla.), who, with 12 votes, got the most opposition votes from the GOP.
Sarah Palin as you all may know was pushing for anybody EXCEPT Boehner, but focused on two favorites:
Please consider "Gunnin' for Gohmert" or going "Yahoo for Yoho" when you vote for Speaker of the House today. Both Representatives are true constitutional, commonsense conservatives who've proven to America they keep their promises to We the People.
Well as it turned out Gohmert only received three votes, one that he cast, and Yoho had only two.
So once again Palin backed those sure to lose.
Story of her life.

Louis Gohmert plans to challenge John Boehner for the job of Speaker of the House. And just when you thought the House Republicans could not get any crazier.
![]() |
"I have no problem speaking in my house so what's the difference?" |
Texas Rep. Louie Gohmert said Sunday that he will challenge House Speaker John Boehner for his post when Congress returns this week to Washington.
Gohmert, among the House Republican caucus’ most conservative members, made the announcement on “Fox and Friends,” saying he decided to run after Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., said Saturday that he would challenge Boehner for the chamber’s top post.
“We have heard from a lot of Republicans that said, ‘I would vote for somebody besides speaker Boehner.’ But nobody will put their name out there,” Gohmert said. “That changed yesterday with Ted Yoho.”
“After the November elections gave Republicans control of the Senate, voters made clear they wanted change,” Gohmert also said Sunday. “There have been numerous examples of problematic Republican leadership, but we were hopeful our leaders got the voters’ message. However, after our speaker forced through the CR omnibus by passing it with Democratic votes and without time to read it, it seemed clear that we needed new leadership. There had been much discussion. But, until yesterday, no one had stepped up.”
Sure why not?
I mean it's not like anybody takes Congress seriously anymore anyway.
Just for take a moment, close your eyes, and imagine Louis Gohmert as Speaker of the House.
Which one are you doing, laughing or crying?

Hey do you remember how Sarah Palin piled on with criticizing Steve Scalise for "palling around" with racists? Can you spell "hypocrite?" Update!
Scalise and Boehner went to visit Palin in Alaska and they all color coordinated pic.twitter.com/yRRqZUyZnX
— Benny (@bennyjohnson) June 19, 2014
(Steve Scalise in the guy on the far right.)Gee it seems like just yesterday that Palin was agreeing with Mark Levin that Rep. Steve Scalise is a naughty naughty racist man who should lose his job, with absolutely NO mention of the fact that she once posed for a photo-op with both he and John Boehner.
Oh wait, it was yesterday.
The Twitter account is for one Benny Johnson who is a serial plagiarist who at the time of this tweet was still working for Buzzfeed. (He now works for the conservative National Review, where things like making shit up and stealing from others is much more accepted.)
Now there is still the possibility that this picture is photo-shopped, though it is hard to imagine why one would do so in June of 2014. By July of that year Palin and Boehner were trading barbs over the idea of impeaching the President, but in June everything seemed relatively calm.
I mean it's not like Palin is so desperate for attention that she will pose for a picture with anyone even remotely well known even if she does not agree with them politi....yeah the picture's most likely real.
So gee it looks like Rep. Scalise has a history of hanging out with racists.
Update: Yeah I'm thinking that if the photo is real it is from 2008. And that link really suggests that it is real.
(And thanks to the anonymous commenter who sent me that link by the way.)
Update 2: Oh yeah it's real.
Update: Boom!
