Does the National Enquirer even know what they have with the Shailey Tripp story? Updated!

Just in case some of you missed a certain passage in the last NE article concerning this scandal, let me bring you up to speed.

From the Enquirer:

In the latest twist, the source close to Shailey reveals the massage therapist claimed to have had a bizarre encounter with Sarah at the All About You Spa in Anchorage in late 2007 early 2008.  At the time Sarah was the Governor of Alaska and pregnant with her fifth child, Trig, who was born in April 2008.

"One day Shailey dropped by to pick up her paycheck, and the receptionist asked if she could give a client a massage because the original therapist assigned could not make it that day" said the source.

When Shailey walked into the massage room and realized the client was Sarah Palin "She almost fainted!" the source said.

At first Shailey was terrified that Sarah would confront her about sleeping with Todd, said the source.
"But Sarah never even brought up his name. After Sarah left, Shailey said she never told Todd about it."

Now after I read that I contacted my sources, who have some knowledge about this story, and asked them if they had any clearer idea as to exactly when this massage supposedly took place. "Was it 2007, or was it 2008?  This is VERY important!"  I said.

The reply was that it was early 2008, BEFORE Palin revealed to the world that she was "pregnant," probably around January.  I asked if Shailey had ever mentioned anything about whether Sarah was noticeably pregnant during that massage. My sources said that not only did Shailey not notice she was pregnant, but that NOBODY in that office knew that Palin was pregnant before she told the world on March 5th. In fact, THEY were just as shocked as everybody else.

Okay now roll that around in your head just a little.

From what I have learned Sarah Palin came into All About You Spa more than a few times, and for procedures other than just a simple massage as well. (All About You offers a number of services, such as Botox injections, Sclerotherapy for varicose veins, Pulsed Light Therapy for acne and spider veins, Skin Regeneration, and Anti-Cellulite Treatment, to name but a few.) And yet NOBODY in the office had ever noticed she was pregnant. How is that possible?

Remember she would have been about four or five months pregnant at this time, and she was being seen by other woman, some of them parents, and yet not ONE of of them was able to detect that she was pregnant?

Palin's explanation for how it was possible that nobody in her office noticed she was pregnant before she told them was: "I hadn't put on a lot of weight and with winter clothes and a few cleverly draped scarves, nobody saw my girth or suspected I was pregnant." (Going Rogue Chapter 8, pg 191.)

However there were no "winter  clothes" or "cleverly draped scarves" to hide her "pregnancy" from these women.  After all nobody receives a massage through a down jacket.

So how could THEY have been surprised?

As I was pondering this it occurred to me that the All About You Medical Spa was right down the road from me.  You know what that means. Road trip!

Minutes later I walked into the tranquil setting of the spa and politley started to ask about their services.

I suggested that I was interested in purchasing some massages and asked if there were any concerns if the person who I gave them to was pregnant.  At that I was handed some health forms and told that ALL potential clients were required to fill them out before receiving any of their services.

Here are the forms.

As you can see on this form they ask a number of very probing questions about the woman's medical history, including if she is seeing a doctor, when her last period was, and even goes onto ask her about the number of pregnancies, miscarriages, and abortions she has had.

So if NONE of the women in the office knew Sarah Palin was pregnant that meant that she either lied on this form, or told them the absolute truth, which was that she was NOT pregnant.

Now it dawned on me to ask the nice lady at the desk whether or not I could speak with the owner of the business, a woman whose title states that she is an Advanced Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, and perhaps get a quote about what their opinon was on Palin's "pregnancy" at that time. But then I noticed this next form.

Yep, the dreaded HIPPA form.  The bane of all bloggers attempting to learn the truth about Sarah Palin's "pregnancy."  I had run into this damn thing before and I knew that it meant I was not going to get any information about Sarah Palin from anybody who was legally bound by that agreement.

However I did have the presence of mind to ask one more question. "Since the massage therapist may not have taken the time to read this health form before giving a massage are there any questions they are supposed to ask before starting a message?

"Well before the therapist sees the patient they hand them this form to fill out (as seen below) and ask them if they are pregnant or if they are currently menstruating."

"Oh, really!" I said.

With that I smiled politely, purchased a few gift certificates, and left the lobby of the spa.

So once again the only way that the people of All About You Spa would NOT know Sarah was pregnant, if in fact she was, is if she lied on the medical form as well as directly to her masseuse, AND  if this group of women were unable to detect a pregnancy of four or five months after seeing Sarah partially, or even completely, disrobed.  What do YOU think the chances are they would not have noticed a swollen belly on a 44 year old woman, four to five months pregnant with her FIFTH child?

At this point I am unable to talk directly to Shailey Tripp because of her confidentiality deal with the Enquirer, but I did contact them and give them the heads up so that they could pursue this line of questioning. Apparently they had not caught the significance.

And by the way, for those who still don't think this story has legs, believe me this is still NOT the most explosive part of this amazing story.  I just hope the Enquirer is doing the kind of thorough job that they did on the John Edwards story.

For this week at least it looks like the Enquirer is taking some time off from the story. I hope that does not mean they are caving into pressure from the Palin's attorney (Still Thomas Van Flein by the way), or have messed up their deal with Ms. Tripp.

Of course if the did that would mean that other media outlets, or even bloggers, might get a shot at this story.  No matter WHO gets the story it promises to be a real page turner.

Update: I just received this e-mail from one of my doctor friends:
In a normal pregnancy the fundus of the uterus rises above the pubic bone around fourteen weeks. At that point it's palpable right at the public bone and feels like a hard little orange almost. It's not as hard as a rock or a brick (lol) but it's not soft and "squishy" either. It's very distinct.

At twenty weeks it should be right about at the navel. Read that again. At the naval.

In fact the old trick that doctors used to date gestational point (from before ultrasound made dating pregnancies just about to the minute possible) is that between approx 15 and 25 weeks, the fundus rises one finger width per week. It should be below the naval until the 20th week, and then between 20-25 weeks rises about one finger width per week. This was (and is) "quick and dirty" but, if a practitioner got someone in who said she was - say 16 weeks - and that fundus was already above the naval, the doctor or midwife knows without any tests, in an instant, that either the woman is wrong about her dates OR she has more than one baby in there.

This is extremely important regarding Palin. This fundal height measurment is unvariable. There is nothing related to a mother's weight or the tightness of the abs that changes this (except of course in very HEAVY women with tons of fat you might not be able to find the fundus, but this does not apply to Palin.) If Palin's real due date was, as she claimed, mid May, by January 1, 2008 she would have been right at 20 weeks. That fundus would have been unmistakably palpable to any one who was giving her a massage.

I REALLY need to talk to Shailey. Or anybody else who might have given the Grizzled Mama a massage or other spa treatment around this time.

I'm going to give the NE the benefit of the doubt and assume that they realize that the story of Sarah Palin is WAAAAAAAAY juicier than that of John Edwards. Now, that's if whoever is controlling the media at large will let the NE expose her. Still doubtful about that. But, it does seem that the gloves have started to come off, and it started even before Tucson.

It's hard to be patient, but I have faith that she will be exposed. Thanks, Gryphen, good work!!

I wonder if Sarah and Todd ever think, (I know hard to picture) that if they had just treated you better you wouldn't be so persistant to help bring them to justice??

I believe the NE have the goods on her and her evil cohorts. I just hope they bring it out sooner rather than later, but I think they are playing a waiting game and will dribble out info and pics until she can no longer deny the truth.

If SP weren't so hateful I would feel sorry for them. But I have come to really want her exposed as the lying fraud that she is.

    Thank You.

Awesome. Heh, this is so much better that ANYTHING on tee vee.

Gryph, when you first started posting about this, I specifically remember that an anon commented that her sister or friend used to work as a nurse at this spa, and told her that she used to see Todd come in for massages, and Sarah went in for Botox while she was supposedly pregnant.

BTW, one other thing you might ask All About You is if they do pre-natal massages. I've had them when I was pregnant, you still undress, but lay on your side, and they only use specific lotions or oils. Not all massage therapists are qualified to do them...it would be easy enough to find out if Shailey is or was. Sounds like from the story in NE, no mention of a pre natal massage

  4. Isn't early 2008 when Sarah Palin announced to her office that she was 7 months pregnant and they were all shocked too, because there was nothing on the outside of that woman's body to indicate (no swelling/weight gain/protruding belly)she was pregnant?

I still find it very strange that Bristol's son Tripp is named after Todd's "friendly masseuse"! Something very strange has gone on in that family and I think there was an adoption to cover up the real scandal of daddy cheating on mommy!

As a Massage Therapist but in
another state, pregnancy is one of the main concerns when someone comes in for a massage, there are certain things and types of massage you DO NOT DO if a client is pregnant...the statement in your entry said when Shailey walked in and saw it was Sarah she was shocked....maybe she didn't review the health info...

I have even inquired if a regular client being seen for auto accident injuries was pregnant since her belly seemed to continue to grow over several months, although the client didn't say anything I had to ask because a pregnant woman for starters cannot lay flat on her belly usually after the 3rd month or lay flat on her back after the 3rd or 4th month(somewhere in there) due to the weight of the baby pressing against certain arterial blood flows which could cut off blood and nutrient supplies to the baby and mother....my massage table has a lift out section for pregnant women so they can lay flat on their belly, the belly is supported by webbing....a MT always reviews health info and asks for updates on conditions....I remember each of my clients and I have many....I would think Shailey would remember this famous client and whether or not she was pregnant...

    Oh Happy Day

Does a client have to fill out the form before each and every massage? Probably not. So Sarah could have filled it out correctly prior to the date she discovered she was pregnant. It would be understandable that Ms. Tripp could have been a little nervous prior to her giving Sarah a massage on that day and may have failed to ask the with child questions. However, is Sarah was having massages on other dates, it seems unlikely that other therapists would have forgotten.
Sarah's (RAM's) reply: Of course Sarah would lie as she didn't want anyone to know she was preggo.

However, if this was the case, then Sarah has no respect for life.

    Surprise, surprise.

What a sad, closed-off world it must be that the Palins exist in. Every dysfunctional aspect of their pitiful family life is because of Sarah. She's got her family under her well-manicured thumb. They have to watch what they say to maintain her many lies. They have to support her grand delusions. They have to become enemies to Sarah's critics. They can't leave the compound to lead normal lives and they don't have the "cojones" (Sarah's words) to challenge her. They're just frittering their sad lives away because of Sarah's blind ambition. She's crippling her own family and it seems she's got no qualms about making them into casualties of her crazy war.

Yuck. What an awful dreadful woman.

  14. Anonymous4:27 AM

Even if people at the spa say she didn't look pregnant even in just her panties, it won't be the thing that exposes the whole story. Palin will say she didn't show very much. Then you'll get a few people telling you " my cousin Carrie never showed At all". I think the only thing will ever end it is if Palin admits she faked the pregnancy because the tide of the story starts to turn against her and someone really important starts asking questions. The question for Palin is if she didn't show much, why did she wear coats and scarves to hide what wasn't showing? We all know it was to hide that there was nothing there.

Those are pretty thorough medical questionnaires the Med Spa has clients fill out. As a recipient of numerous legitimate massages, I know for a fact that a massage therapist would definitely know if someone was even a couple months pregnant. As a rule, the masseuse is very in tune with the body and how it feels. She would notice ANY signs of pregnancy. Also, a MT massages the belly...I'm pretty sure they'd know if there was a 4-5 month fetus in there. Also, if Sarah was preggers at the time of her massage, I would certainly assume she'd tell them if she was pregnant, so they wouldn't knead her lower belly. When I was pregnant, I couldn't even lay on my stomach to have a massage. They had a special pillow to lie on. Maybe those tight abs of hers hid that baby bump even from a person whose job required them to feel every tense muscle and every small lump.....ya right lol

  16. Thank you, thank you, thank you for connecting the dots!!! I am a trained massage therapist and was sitting with my jaw dropped wondering why no one had brought this up! And also praying that behind the scenese someone had noticed and the dots would get connected eventually and that NE was digging deeper to get the facts all in order before releasing more.

Even IF Palin was pregnant (which I don't think she was) - the story is still important because if she didn't tell them and went ahead with massage and other treatments some massage techniques and procedures could have been harmful to the baby (or even caused a miscarriage - especially for an older woman with a history of miscarriages). So she either lied about being pregnant or potentially put her unborn child at risk - either way don't let her off the hook and she has to be held accountable and the truth spread far and wide.

Just thought of another medical procedure that might be traced to determine pregnancy and that is for dental X-rays. They always ask if you could be pregnant, even though they give you the lead apron, but I think they hold off on doing the X-rays during pregnancy.

Also is this the same "dermatology office" that Brisol worked at? Seems pretty upscale for Todd to be having sex there, or was that at a different location? It also seems very medically oriented. I've had massages and never had to fill out a health form but just asked if I were pregnant.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Anonymous5:09 AM

It can be dangerous to have a massage while pregnant as it can induce a miscarriage--which is why a massage therapist always asks--apparently there are certain acupressure points to avoid. And as for having Botox or any other treatment like that--NOT recommended while pregnant.

In support of Anon 5:08 comment, even a dental hygienist can pick up on pregnancy before the belly swells.

When I was 4 mo pregnant with my 1st child, barely showing,I had my teeth cleaned and there was excessive bleeding of the gums. I asked the hygienist what she'd done. And she asked me if I was pregnant. Gums swell and bleed easily from early pregnancy.

  31. When I was starting into my fifth month of pregnancy with my son, I had a massage.

While I could still lay on my stomach in a bed, I wasn't able to flat on the table. It was too firm. I had to roll a little to my side.

The average fundal height of a uterus at 19 weeks is approximately 20 cm. A pregnant uterus is firm and hard. If you are a thin woman with "tight abs", there is not lot of places where it can move to when your laying on your stomach. I have no doubt that a massage therapist would be able to tell at this point if a woman was pregnant.

Time to say it: Sarah Palin is not a serious presidential candidate

But enough is enough. She is not another Thatcher – nor is she another Reagan. She does not have the experience and substance of a Romney or the genuine warmth and charm of a Huckabee. Given her star quality and wide support, she could be a plausible king-maker and power broker for some more credible candidate. Some of my senior Republican friends are disappointed that Governor Chris Christie has decided not to run this time around, and fear that the party may not be able to find a big enough figure in time. But developing the profile of a relative unknown would be better than going with a super star who would burn out spectacularly under fire.

What about Sarah's other lifestyle habits? Does she exercise regularly at a gym where people would've seen her in light clothes doing strenuous activities that would be restrictive during a certain point of pregnancy???

There have to be numerous clues to explore. Does Dr. CBJ have a lab or ultrasound machine in her office or do patients have to go somewhere else for lab work, ultrasounds and amnios? People would've seen Sarah at least checking into these diagnostic areas during certain key times of her gestation.

What are the dates of the pediatrician visits after the baby was born? What about the paperwork Sarah & Todd would've had to sign to get him circumcized (if he is)?
If the baby had jaudice he would've had to go in for testing and light therapy.....

Let's keep this momentum on all these clues going people!

I got a massage when I was 5 months pregnant and I was clearly pregnant, and I told the massage therapist. You also cannot lay on your stomach when you are 5 months pregnant so I got my massage laying on my side. This being her 5th child, Sarah should have been showing by 3 months, as the more children you have the earlier you show due to your abdominal wall muscles being so stretched out from multiple pregnancies.

"I still find it very strange that Bristol's son Tripp is named after Todd's "friendly masseuse"!"

Gryphen said he knew that there was a link to the Tripp name over a week ago but has not followed through with that information.

Gryphen posts: "And by the way, for those who still don't think this story has legs, believe me this is still NOT the most explosive part of this amazing story." And then says in a comment "Right now I have no real idea, ...". Maybe your readers deserve to know the truth about what you really now.

Having said all that, this is a good line of research but it looks like it's all going to come down to what S. Tripp says. At best it would be she-said, she-said. As you noted, they can't release any medical records.

The R's know they'll have lost 2012 already, the question is, who is going to take a hit for the losing Party. They've got to commit to fund-raising, working the circuits and building name recognition. Ask John Kerry, he knew he didn't have a chance in hell, Dems knew it was a loss.

They still have to offer someone up, it would be a losing battle but it would have to be tactical. Sarah Palin would be a sure loser, but the R's would be smart to use her as the backdrop to 2016 - as in, we as a Party learned a lesson and we won't go back to minimizing, un-serious, fractious and divisive lines.

They'll work on rolling out the Big Tent, the new and improved and stabilized R that won't cave to a vocal minority to define their effectiveness.

She had a vested interest in keeping it quiet because she was a possible VP candidate. I also read that she said she didn't want anyone to think she wasn't up to to job as gov. Anyway, the reason I am writing is that I worry that we are going to look like the crazy Birthers (Obama haters). With so many things that SP has done to deserve our ire, is this really worth pursuing? I'm afraid if you're wrong, SP &crew will use this to invalidate our concerns on the other imp issues. Recently stopped by redi-care to see if my aching wrist might be something worse. Question number 1: are you pregnant? (and believe me I'm WAY too old to be with child).

Except for the mechanic at the car repair shop, just about everyone and his brother asks me whether I'm pregnant before just about doing anything. The dentist, the allergist, the vet, the pharmacist, the manicurist, the hairdresser, ...

BUT hipaa constrained or not, none of these people (short of getting NE size dollars) would share that info. It's just not done. And even less likely, given that Palin was gov at the time.

Even if there is PROOF that Palin was botox-ing while supposedly prego, the media will give her a pass. Palin has already confessed to endangering the baby's life via the wild ride and the media does NOT care.

CBJ has to be confronted by her medical board and be forced to confess. NE has to NAIL the good doctor with the facts.

good luck, G. The closer you get, the hotter it will be. Take care.

  49. Two things about the timing of the massage.

One was that Shailey should know if Sarah was pregnant.

The other was that Shailey's affair with Todd was underway at the time. The timeline would work for Todd and Shailey to be Trig's parents.

I know Shailey's friend said Trig wasn't hers, but non-disclosure would be part of the adoption agreement. If Shailey herself were pregnant, another reason she was shocked to see that her client was Sarah could be that she was afraid Sarah would notice and connect it to any rumors about Todd.

Since the birthers feel that they have every right to question POTUS legitimacy, why shouldn't people be able to ask sarah palin where is her son's birth certificate?
There have been enough questions about this ever since she announced her pregnancy. The good people of her own state were the first to question her.

Maybe a few protesters EVERY place palin is or speaks should carry signs we want to see the birth certificate of Trigg!

    NO flame.

Sarah Palin claims she boarded a transcontinental flight after an amniotic fluid leak in a high risk pregnancy (over 40; previous miscarriages; down syndrome; pre-mature) and avoided many Neo-natal Intensive Care equipped hosiptals to have a baby in small hospital that's not even allowed to deliver twins.

If you think "hiding" the pregnancy was understandable, I can see your point. But I really can't see that the above "wild ride" is understandable.

Welcome to the Palin pregnancy investigation. I hope you continue to read and learn about the many, many, many weird circumstances of this so-called pregnancy.

    Good job catching this, Gryphen.

So, Sarah went for a personal spa treatment in December 2007 or January 2008. She tells us she had an ultrasound at 12 weeks. Presumably, she has had massages before and knew what they entail (even if she never had a massage, she would know that the masseuse would be up close and personal).

    There are three possible scenarios:

    1. Sarah was about 20 weeks with a pregnancy she was trying to hide. In this case, she would have lied to the spa and put herself at risk for the masseuse detecting her pregnancy.

    2. Sarah was not pregnant but knew she was going to fake her pregnancy (so she was "hiding" a fake pregnancy). In this case, she wouldn't have to lie to the spa, but she would risk them knowing she was not pregnant (or that she was a freak who could store that 20 week fetus somewhere a masseuse couldn't feel it and lied to them on the forms) when she announced at 7 months.

    3. Sarah was not pregnant and didn't know at that time she was going to fake a pregnancy. She didn't lie to the spa and she wasn't worried that anyone would find out she wasn't pregnant OR was pregnant or anything of the sort.

The third scenario makes the most sense.

I really hope the NE follows up on this. Can you imagine the headlines?

I agree with Anon who sayss people need to be cautious out of respect to the family. Things happen for good reason. Sarah's demeanor during her last "pregnancy" was telling. She always appeared on the brink of tears to me.

I think something happened in the mid 2000s and Todd started drifting (not uncommon for high school sweethearts). I really think Sarah still loves Todd and is the one trying to continue the relationship. We can pretty much assume they were talking to reality show producers as early as summer 09 and they purchased the extra lot by their house around her resignation. I dont see a divorce happening. I am openminded but I also have met Sarah and have seen them together.

Yes, the faked pregnancy story DOES involve (at least one) child. It also involves a politician that was featured in a magazine story with the headline "We're glad we chose life".

When a child because a vote-getting ploy, the truth over-rides the child's right to privacy.

Sarah Palin faked a pregnancy (rather badly). If she had refused the VEEP tap from McCain, she would have been the granted the softness of the media that she enjoyed up to Sept. 2008. MOST Alaskans knew about the faked pregnancy but cut their gov. a little slack. Sarah's bid for greated power is the SOLE reason the fake pregnancy will be exposed.

As a Nationally certified and licensed massage therapist, I can tell you that it is crucial for the client to tell us they are pregnant and how far along. AND the massage is done in the side-lying position. Depending on the trimester, there are risks of miscarriage due to pressure points related to acupuncture that must be avoided, too. Pregnancy massage has it's own entire training system in place as an addendum to what is learned in school. If Palin was pregnant (not) and did not tell the person who was doing the massage, she created a very risky situation for herself, her baby and the person giving the massage.

Not to say that some MTs don't, but as a military wife I've had them over a span of 20 years in about 10 different places, including foreign countries. Never a belly massage. However, every one asked if I was pregnant.

Even if Palin wasn't showing much(her likely excuse) at 4 month pregnant, the hardness of her uterus, even if NOT protruding all that visibly would not be able to be laid on at 20 weeks(ish)for 30 minutes much less an hour-standard lengths of massages.

If Tripp can prove somehow that she massaged Palin while she was supposedly pregnant, and it was NOT a pre-natal massage, then in my mind that is all the MSM needs to go full bore with this story and expose her sick charade for all to see.

Obama's birth is not a mystery.

The state of Hawaii says that his certificate of live birth is authentic and consistent with what every other citizen of that state has.

There are 2 birth announcements in 2 separate papers in Honolulu that stated his birth back in 1961. These could not have been retroactively planted decades later.

Finally, Obama's mother was, undisputedly, even by tea bag nuts, an American citizen, thereby granting her offspring automatic American citizenship- no matter where they were born.

Therefore, unless this young biracial couple, who had their mixed race child before the civil rights movement, believed with certainty that their child was going to have a shot at the presidency someday, then there would be ABSOLUTELY NO REASON for them to perpetrate this elaborate scheme to ensure his destiny.

No mystery with President Obama, but there is a BIG mystery surrounding Trig as to why his mother, who has called him a gift from God, chose to endanger his very existence through the wild ride, seldom is seen holding him, is always away from her special needs child, and subjected her developmentally challenged newborn to the campaign trail, with irregular sleep patterns, loud noises, large crowds, etc.

    There's the mystery.

Great work, Gryphen! People have commented that Sarah might have had botox during that time, which I don't think a pregnant woman would do. Our cousin was pregnant and developed a terrible cold; her doctor did not want to give her any medication because of the pregnancy.

When Palins Deceptions was up, they posted the few pictures of Sarah taken when she was supposed to be pregnant. I notice that in some of the pictures, her hair was streaked and highlighted. I commented then that women also avoided using hair dyes and chemicals when they were pregnant. I received a very nasty comment, telling me to back off, and that I was spoiling the "hard work" that everyone one else was doing.

Circumstantial evidence consists of little pieces of unrelated information, when taken together, paint a picture. Sarah didn't appear pregnant. She had procedures that most pregnant women wouldn't have at that time. We also need to examine her official calendar as governor to see when she had those regular check ups. People noted that Sarah's "obstetrician" was present at the shower for Trig, but it was Dr.CBJ who wrote the letter, and there was no mention of another doctor. Trig would require prenatal attention, something beyond the range of a family doctor and a small town hospital. There are lots of little pieces that taken together create a picture of a non-pregnant Sarah, or an absolutely unbelievable story.

You touched on what is, for me, the saddest part of the Trig story. I want to see Sarah's fake pregnancy exposed because I can't stand seeing liars get away with their lies. And faking a birth is one of the most egregious in my mind.

But regardless of HOW he got here, Trig's HERE. And how he is being treated by the woman who calls herself his mother is so horrible and immoral I have to push it out of my mind and not even think about it. She is NEVER in Wasilla-and I live in Wasilla. If she is, it's for a day or two and then she's off to the lower 48 somewhere. AZ these days right? Speeches. Trig is not in tow. Who is caring for him? He needs his MOTHER to care for him and she just can't seem to go there.

I think this is the main reason she isn't more of an advocate for the special needs community. She doesn't want to be one because she sees having Trig as a burden. With her pro-life stance, sure, I'll buy that she thinks he's a 'blessing', but not HER blessing. She doesn't want to deal with that, so she has other family members and nannies do the dirty work. She trots him out only when convenient.

If she decides to run, it will be interesting to see how she uses him. He's not a 5 month old she can hold lovingly. He's going to be going on 4years old and from what I hear, still drinking from a bottle. Not a picture of responsible parenting of a special needs child I don't think.

The NE also pointed out that that they were patient because they wanted to smoke John Edwards out as per the advise of their expert. I broke my finger a couple years ago, and when I went for the x-ray, I had to fill out a form listing the date of my last period. For health reasons, I'm on Implanon, so I hadn't had a period in more than a year.

The technician, who wasn't familiar with Implanon, freaked out when she saw the date of my last period. I explained that in addition to being on birth control, I wasn't sexually active and there really was no possible way I could be pregnant. The technician consulted with a colleague, and they then asked me to hand-write and sign a note on the waiver form to the effect that I was not and could not be pregnant, and that if I was pregnant I would not hold them responsible for any damage to the fetus.

No, this wasn't a massage therapist--but this is an example of how seriously the medical profession takes even the remote possibility of pregnancy, even when you, the patient, assure them you aren't pregnant.

I do have to point out a couple of things. Yes, she surely would have lied directly to the masseuse and on a form about whether she was pregnant. But, for just a massage, there's no way she would have completed that first form re: miscarriages, abortions, etc. It's just a massage. I've gotten tons of massages at spas in my life and never been asked or would have answered intrusive questions like that. Also, a typical massage does not involved your stomach, so aside from visibly noticing her non-pregnant state, I would not expect the masseuse to feel her fundus. (That sounds funny :)

I haven't read any of the responses yet, but right up front, I have a problem with your story: I (female) receive regular massages from a very capable, licensed massage therapist who also is a massage instructor at a local community college.
She NEVER touches my belly - I lie on her couch usually head-down until the last 20 minutes or so, and when I turn over, she massages my arms and legs and my upper torso - what sticks out from under a blanket - but NEVER touches my belly. Once or twice she DID reach under the blanket, but that was only on the very side of my belly.
So, at least from the touching standpoint, there is a no-go. At least in her practice, I am covered by a blanket, which she pulls down to stay draped over my butt/legs. Don't know if that is different with guys or not.

If a picture is worth a thousand words then this graphic is worth ten thousand.

Amidst all the discussion over who Trig's mother may be, some of our readers have stepped forward to gently remind us that a crucial message may be lost in the debate - the one message upon which this blog was founded. That message: Given the evidence, it is highly, highly suspect that Sarah Palin gave birth to the Trig Palin.

So to prove that we are still on message, we would like to halt the debate over who Trig's mother is and observe a moment of silence as we reflect upon who is not. The debate, we are sure, will resume. And that is fine just so long as we don't lose sight of the original message.

Do we have anything other than Tripp's word that she gave Sarah a massage? Even if she came out and said she saw her when she would have been 4-5 months pregnant and didn't notice, that's not breaking news. Others have said she didn't look pregnant, and people already appear to have dismissed Tripp's account of things in general.

If Tripp did sign an exclusivity deal with the NE then that really hurts her credibility and makes further investigation of her claims very difficult.

I'm not a 'bot'. I want the truth to come out like all of us. I just want to make sure we are investigating credible leads.

  110. Small follow up note to the update.

One other reason to be concerned with a larger than expected fundal height is a congenital deformity with the baby. If the fetus esophagus didn't develop normally, it wont be able to swallow the amniotic fluid. The fluid will build up in the uterus and raise the fundal height.

My sister went through this when she was pregnant. She was scheduled for a ultrasound because of it. I knew her dates were correct because she and her husband had been trying to get pregnant and she was following the calender closely. I didn't tell her my fears, but I prayed that she was pregnant with twins. Luckily, that was the case. Identical twins!

And to the women who have stated that they have never had a abdominal or 'belly' massage, that is not the point. The point is that a woman who is actually 4 or 5 months pregnant would have a very difficult time laying flat on her stomach on a massage table. A massage therapist would most likely pick up on the fact that a woman was having trouble with that, and begin asking questions.

Another point, while she and the staff may not have read the history right before the massage, I would bet they would have all looked at it afterwords. And I imagine at the very least, she would have been asked if there was a possibility she could be pregnant before she started giving the massage.

Sarah Palin claimed in her book, 'Going Rogue' that she had two previous miscarriages. If she was actually pregnant and didn't disclose the pregnancy, she was blatantly negligent.

But I don't believe that is the case. I believe she put on the forms that she wasn't pregnant, or else the staff would not have been surprised when it was announced in March. I also don't believe she could have been pregnant and not have it pick up on in this situation.

I posted this in a previous post--my daughter is a massage therapist, I have friends who are therapists, and NO ONE would ethically work on a pregnant woman without taking precautions. There are some techniques that are EXTREMELY DANGEROUS to the woman and fetus. One of the therapists about freaked out when I confirmed this.

I don't think this was an attempt at a fundie abortion because Palin could have been medically in trouble herself. This just backs up the likelihood of her NOT being pregnant at the time.

Gryphen, I'm a liscensed massage therapist, and you do need to speak with Shailey Tripp, but I do want to say two things before we all think that she can definitely offer some kind of proof.

Now, I don't know what exact protocol this spa or she followed but, based on my experience,at most spas, when a return client comes to see you the therapist does not ask them to fill out a new form. The therapist will ask what is presently going on, anything new or problematic? They would not ask about a pregnancy unless it was visible or something that the client had disclosed she was actively was working on.

Secondly, abdominal massage is often not included in a general full body massage. This can be due to time constraints--between the amount of stress that most clients carry in their neck, shoulders, and back, one unfortunately often simply doesn't have enough time to work on the abdomen. Also, many clients simply prefer not to have their abdomen touched. I ask my clients, both pregnant and non pregnant if they are ok with abdominal massage.

However, I have never given a massage to a pregnant woman, who at five months, was willing or able to lie on her stomach. Up to three months, most women are okay with stomch lying--at this stage of a normal, uncomplicated pregnancy there is no risk to the fetus, but during the fourth month that changes.

Thanks for all of your hard work in unmasking this dangerous fraud. I hope all of your efforts will soon reap rewards--for all of our sakes.

I know we all would like to think Todd fathered a child with another woman and Sarah covered for him. However, how does one explain the fact that Trig (ruffles and present child) has Sarah's exact ear formation. Piper and Tripp has it as well.

We know by size of infant Trig was born in 2008. We know form multiple accounts Bristol was not pregnant in 08. However, why did she leave Anch High around Spring Break?
In March, Sarah wrote an email addressing the Philly trip, saying she needs details so Bristol can schedule work and school around it.

All the info is there. It's putting it all in place and discounting mere opinions and rumors including anything Sadie, Levi, Bristol and Sarah have said previously.

Article on massage during high-risk pregnancy
    http://www.integrative-healthcare.org/mt/archives/2010/05/high-risk_pregn.html

Because complications, illness or death are more likely to occur in a high-risk pregnancy, any healthcare provider must proceed with caution and vigilance. For the safety of the client and the massage practitioner, any high-risk pregnancy necessitates communication with the woman's prenatal healthcare provider and a signed release form. This release form should contain at least two components:

    1. Confirmation that the prenatal healthcare provider (physician, ob-gyn or midwife) approves massage therapy

    2. A listing of any precautions or limitations of massage procedures

When working with a high-risk pregnant client, observing basic precautions and contraindications for bodywork in pregnancy is crucial. Restrictions and considerations for pregnant clients may include:

    · Positioning for a Massage Session - the side lying position is often advised for pregnant women.

    · Modifications for Bodywork on the Lower Extremities - Because blood clots are more likely to develop during pregnancy, deep pressure or friction should be avoided on the legs. In addition, all leg techniques should go in the direction of the heart since hormonal changes in pregnancy weaken the vein's valves.

    · Abdominal Massage - Since 80 percent of miscarriages occur in the first trimester, abdominal massage should be completely avoided during that time span. In addition, therapists are advised to minimize abdominal massage to high-risk pregnancy clients even in their second and third trimesters.

    · Acupressure Points - With high-risk clients, it is even more crucial to avoid the acupressure points contraindicated in pregnancy.

    · Heart Condition - In general, massage therapy techniques that encourage circulation should be avoided in the third trimester for clients with a heart condition.

Oh and by the way, to all of you that say abdominal massage is out of the question: I have had very good success with clients who need abdominal massage. There is a technique, which maintains the boundaries and properly drapes the important bits. It is very effective for digestive issues, problems with the obliques, and is an extremely energetically charged area of the body. It's uncommon, but definitely part of a massage if the client asks for it or if I decide it would help the issue at hand.

If your therapist is skilled at abdominal massage, you should ask for one. It's very therapeutic.

Palin did not have a pregnancy massage.

Hell, just about every speech she makes and every appearance on Fox news shows her saying nasty, malicious things.

The definition of malicious is deliberately harmful and spiteful. I'd say that suits our Sarah to a tee, even before she burst onto the national scene and had to "defend" herself against her "haters."

Most massage tables do not have this feature, and there's no way, even if hiding it, can you lay on your tummy -- it hurts! No way to relax, that's for sure. Addressing facts about massage (since I am a trained massage therapist) - YES massage therapist do massage the entire abdoman area - of course a massage therapist would always ask the client first before the massage began if it was ok - not every massage therapist does of course but every single one I know has been trained how and includes it when the client says yes. Just because a few here haven't had the stomach area included in their massage doesn't mean it never happens.

Every massage therapist would ask every female client if they were pregnant before the massage began - certain techniques could cause a miscarriage (none would cause down's syndrome).

It may be impossible to get any one working at the spa to say anything - after all they have to be continue to work there and trust is going to a big issue with clients. Hopefully someone who doesn't work there any more will be able to provide the facts needed.

They have been used before on numerous occasions. No need to speculate, just collect the evidence and analyze. To use the John Edwards approach on Palin would require looking at at least a few of the previous Palin gates.
Troopergate is the one that NE has been sure to analyze.

This is an excellent move by the NE if they want to up the pressure on those who might participate in covering up what the NE is investigating. There are at least two or three with the info on at least one of the gates who are now wondering what to do.

Otherwise, why trot Bristol out at every opportunity? If your daughter is an unmarried and pregnant teen, you don't do that to her. If it was a matter of demonstrating that there was no shame, all they would have had to do is admit it to the Media and ask for privacy on behalf of their daughter. Rinse and repeat. NE has already read your post here and the comments. Whether or not they knew what you posted before you posted, they do now.

While most people might agree that Letterman's joke was not funny, and many people might agree that it was in poor taste, only the Palins equate that with pedophilia. THAT is malicious.

As for Joe McGinniss, while I admit that it was a little weird for him to move into the house right next door to the Palins, only someone truly sick and evil would think that he did so in order to peer into a child's bedroom.

Interesting twist in the concerned troll comments today. Rather than continuing to claim that Sarah gave birth to Trig, they're now saying, "Leave this alone, a child is involved, he is loved, yadayada."

Hmmm. So whoever Sarah pays to comment on this site are acknowledging that Sarah faked her fifth pregnancy. The line now is, "leave it alone." Here, my friends, is the beginnings of how Sarah will deal with the NE's coming revelation.

The thing is, when this child is being used by a ruthless, unethical politician as a platform to outlaw abortion and take our country back to the dark ages, then the facts about that child's birth become everyone's business. Sarah made it so.

  165. Anonymous11:52 AM

7:37, never, in the history of campaigns, will you ever find a candidate of any party who, yes, trotted her children out like the great little campaign props they were and are. Palin invokes her children at every opportunity. She uses them to create her myth and to deflect criticism, real or imagined. As a parent, it is repulsive to watch.

Some of you who have had massages state emphatically that there was no massaging of the stomach area.

    I appreciate that point....

However, that argument does nothing to explain how a woman in her 5th month of pregnancy can lie flat on her belly for a massage.

Presumably, all of you have had your back area massaged and you had to lie on your belly so that it could be done.

    Good get Gryphen.

There are so many inconsistencies about her TriG pregnancy I doubt many people who have considered it believe that she was pregnant.

However she is a liar with POTUS aspirations and a holier than thou attitude towards others and needs to be shown up as a big time liar.

  170. Telling your young child's classmates (via TLC reality show) that the child is called "Piper DIAPER" is malicious.

    10:02 AM

I agree, but Piper is now "home schooled." In a small town like Wasilla, I'd bet that there are a number of cruel things being said to Piper, which is inexcusable. However, all this would never have happened if Sarah hadn't used her family (and possibly someone else's family) to further her ambitions. A true, caring mother would have flatly turned down the invitation to be on the Republican ticket considering the challenges her family faced. Instead, she orchestrated events and manipulated innocent children to achieve her goal. And she will not stop until she is president or has achieved Oprah Status. Meanwhile, a young child with special needs is ignored until he can be used for political gain and a young, unwed teenage mother has been transformed into a monster. And there are a few more in the wings ready to enter the stage of Sarah's Medea-like tragedy.

Still the same word-salad Sarah, alphabet soup with recycled talking points, hungry markets, clean fuel, blah, blah. Explanations long on duplicate phrases, short on factual details.

Notice the voice/accent not quite so over the top as it is now.

Funny, Sarah couldn't have remembered that particular Supreme Court Case. It landed her some face time on CSPAN. A memorable event, one would think.

    How about this:

Scarah knew Shailey was having an affair with Tawdrey, but Shailey knew Scarah was preggers!

So, one could speculate that they made a deal. If Shailey kept her mouth shut about Scarah not being preggers, Scarah would not punish Shaily, as we all know Scarah has the power to destroy people.

Far out theory, I know, but somehow I get a hunch that perhaps there is some sort of stalemate scenario going on between Scarah and Shaily.

10:29a, no not EVERYBODY thinks Letterman and Joe McGuinnis are creepy, just the creepy fans in Palinland.

I've heard Letterman's remarks as being in bad taste, but no one really thought they were about Willow. Palin made them about Willow.

As for Joe McGuinnis, he would not be the first biographer to try to get up close and personal with his subject. I'll bet that but for Palin's peodophile smears, NO ONE would have even gone there..

What I think is CREEPY is that Sarah Palin invokes sexual predator accusations at every turn. Something is very wrong with that woman.

Personally, I don't care which ice berg hits & sinks the Palin(s) from the political life permanantly.

Affairs by either party, Trig, Bristol the Pistol, Willow, Track, ethics, taxes, etc., it doesn't matter as long as her public credibility is destroyed.

She has encouraged hatred, bigotry and divisivness across this country and uses her MOB Mentality Groupies to do her dirty work. She has made NO effort to educate herself or deliver a well thought out solution to a problem facing the American people. Just critize those who are trying.

She is a coward! Refusing to enter the arena of well respected political debate forums (Meet the Press / Face the Nation...) while cheering from the sidelines for blood (yet complains when she gets smeared).

The importance of Trig- as much as I hate to say -his birth story is a tool. For her to have pro-life creds, tough pioneer woman who can fly cross country in labor, to "walk the walk", to shield her from critism.

For me - Trig's birth is the weak(est) link in the chain holding back all the secrets & deceptions behind her. Break one link.... the rest will spill out and no one will pay attention to her shrilly voice.

Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't it the NE who wanted to rent the house next door to Palins? The owner refused and instead rented it to Joe McGinnis?

If so, the NE has been looking at the Palins for a while now.

And yes, the concern trolls are out in force....even they are acknowledging that some sort of deception has occurred. This isn't a harmless deception. Palin has USED Trig and spoken about her choice not to have an abortion. She has made money from him, while waving him around half-naked in the middle of winter to promote her book.

And no, I have never heard anyone suggest that she should have aborted Trig. She made that up as well.

So all you Palin apologists - get real. The entire world is laughing at this lunatic and her supporters. Even Palin is laughing...you idiots are throwing away your money and she is living the high life while you eat rice.

This is the kind of wild speculation that makes us look stupid. We have no evidence, so they must have taken it(?).
    ---

THAT is what makes us look stupid? That was actually not a bad scenario in comparison with some of the things that others have written here. All we have in "evidence" in the Tripp/Todd story is

    1. a pal claims theyve had sex multiple times
    2. apparently building neighbors have heard sex
    3. apparently Sarah received a massage from Shailey after he fucked Todd
    4. crap was conviscated.
    5. the law firm is highly suspect of shady activity but nothing conclusive

I still don't see how people outside her place of employment could hear sex noises when the receptionist who asked Shailey to massage Sarah at the last minute probably didn't know Todd and Shailey had sex. Or else she had a bone to pick with Shailey and wanted to make her uncomfortable.

    Weird

I get a full body massage at least once a month, fully nude.

The massage therapist will not be able to tell you anything about whether s/he noticed anything about Palin's belly. The problems are:

    1. The full body massage never includes the belly/chest area.

    2. With the draping that they do, the therapist never, ever, gets to peek anywhere in the belly/chest area

Sorry to burst your bubble on this one.
