I think that Dana Milbank will feel VERY alone in the month of February.

Look I agree that the mainstream media does not need to respond to every drunken tweet by this idiot, but to completely ignore her is journalistic malpractice in my opinion.

    Your absolutely right Gryphen.

Sarah has used both positive and negative attention to keep her name in the media and around the country. And it has turned against her a little.

Right now is NOT the time to stop talking about Sarah. Because she knows this story is going to break open she is distracting people from it. Keep on her!

Sarah Palin needs to be exxposed for all her lies and violence she has caused so many people in her neighborhood, state and this country.

Sarah Palin needs to be behind bars like her email hacker that she had no mercy for. Sarah Palin needs to be brought down like the President of Egypt Mubarak.

From Conservative Home - The Republican
(ConservativeHome: Our goal is to cover the ongoing debate about the future of the Republican party and conservatism in America. And to help spur it along.

We are not affiliated with the GOP. But we exist to help it grow stronger and better. As conservatives, we hope to make conservatism in America stronger and better, too.)

It's Time To Move Beyond Palin

We call this group the Truth Tellers - it's hard to argue with their statements about Sarah Palin. See below for what they have said about her. Here's a summary of the main points:

Palin is unserious about ideas and doesn't seem to care much about providing clear, decisive leadership on the biggest issues facing America. It's hard to find much evidence to the contrary. Can her supporters provide compelling evidence to refute this? We have looked, and we can't find the evidence. Other than a smart QE2 statement that the Wall Street Journal applauded, there's not much there.

There is no obvious route for her to the White House. Have any of her supporters mapped out how she wins in a way that's half-way believable? We're not sure there is one. We take Roger Simon's point under advisement - that it is too soon to rule Sarah out - but so far, it's not clear how she wins. Someone needs to build a good case before we'll change our minds, because we sure don't see it.

Instead of replying to detractors with presidential aplomb or directing the public discussion away from criticism to a positive view of the future, she is alienating and even defensive. Some may think this a subjective assessment, but it's hard to argue with the charge that she spends far too much time dueling with the media or using the media to duel with others than to present any positive vision of the future. Whatever their flaws, Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich and Tim Pawlenty, Chris Christie, and Mitch Daniels have all carved out identities based on specific ideas, policy, and vision. What is Sarah Palin's vision? What are her ideas? Can anyone convincingly answer those questions?

So let's take a look at the Truth Tellers in their own words: http://conhomeusa.typepad.com/therepublican/

Until the woman actually engages with the LSM in the traditional manner, meaning, "varify" that she is the source of actual statements and can back it up, I was never supportive of the media publishing stories based on her FB or Twitter mandations.

She does not deserve print and coverage until it is known that she is the author and messenger of these policy slights.

I don't get it; Milbank starts his "month of sobriety" by going on tv to talk about why he's not talking about Palin. Why doesn't he just go about his business and not discuss her like he planned. He's giving her more credence than she deserves.

Sarah Palin is an emotional tranny.

Let's see if you let my assessment go through your filter this time. . .

    The Anatomy of Sarah Palin.

She is a both a pussy and a dick. Have we ever seen such insecurity masked with such snide bravado?

She has a thin skin and a glass jaw but sharp elbows.

She is blessed with above average attractive features but has no fashion sense, diction or intelligence.

She is a bully, a thug and disingenuous. She does not know what truth is because she does not live with truth. If she did, we all know she wouldn't like what she see's in her reflection.

    HELL YEAH!

This bears repeating again and again! You hit the proverbial nail on the head in your assessment. Wow. Just wow. The way you just laid that out made my eyes fly open and I jumped up and said "YES! YES! YES!" You are so spot on that it is chilling. So I will repost your post with this comment, because that is how important I believe that it is. :o)

...Given the estimated 10,000 conservative attendees expected in Washington for the annual get-
together, it might seem like the
perfect place for a conservative Republican to raise money.

But not entirely. Standing in the way of lawmakers eager to court wealthy donors is a plethora of evening events organized by CPAC during the conference. Dinners, award ceremonies and receptions threaten to keep conference-goers tethered to the Marriott Wardman Park, where the conference will take place, which could render some reluctant to schlep to Capitol Hill for a fundraiser.

According to the official CPAC schedule, the opening evening will feature a reception sponsored by former Alaska governor and Tea Party favorite Sarah Palin’s political action committee, SarahPAC, as well as a simultaneous VIP event featuring father-and-son legislators Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.).

    WTF???

Bristol Palin to Replace Wheel of Fortune's Vanna White

In an unprecedented move that's shocked the television world, Wheel of Fortune has replaced its long standing hostess Vanna White and named Bristol Palin her temporary replacement. The
move comes after a series of contract disagreements between White and ABC over salary issues and bonuses. Vanna White has been Wheel of Fortune's official letter turner since 1982 but recent negotiations between White's agent and ABC collapsed late Friday, leaving the popular game show suddenly without anyone to reveal the letters to their puzzles.

The decision to replace Vanna White with Bristol Palin has not been welcomed among many of Wheel of Fortune die-hards.

    It's only ENTERTAINMENT -- satire!

Some now wonder if the young Palin is the best candidate to replace the ever popular Vanna White. The Wheel of Fortune job responsibility requires more than looks and charm. It also requires a familiarity with the English language, something Bristol's mother Sarah Palin hasn't always demonstrated. Show officials insist Bristol Palin is qualified for the role on Wheel of Fortune. "She knows all 26 letters of the English alphabet," said ABC President Ben Sherwood, "Not just the letters E.P.T."

While I think that she gets way more publicity than she deserves, her imbecilities need to be cited and brought to the foreground.

By having the media and blogs like yours continually pointing out her stupidity, her lack of gravitas, her spitefulness, and her narcissism, her unfavorable ratings continue to decline. This is a good thing.

Granted that she is probably not going to run for the GOP/TP nomination. However, her deluded/delusional followers think she will not only run but that she can win both the nomination and the general election. Reporting/blogging about her probably won't change their minds, but having no critique of her antics or ramblings for a month will just reinforce their delusions.

I'm assuming Dana Milbank is trying to upgrade journalism by not reporting on this dangerous clown. But all actions and non-actions have consequences. We can't afford to let the inmates take over the asylum.

US conservatives prepared to 'come out' as opponents of Sarah Palin

David Frum: “Imagine you’re at the circus. On the ground is a poodle performing a stunt. Above the clown’s head, dangling from a thin wire, is a piano. The piano is teetering, tottering, looking as if at any moment it might slip, crash to earth, and crush the dog. Impossible not to watch, right? And that’s the Palin show, only this time with the party of Lincoln as the little dog, and Sarah Palin as the piano.”

  20. I completely disagree.

There is genuine news breaking in the USA and around the world as I write this.

The Obama administration is looking for ways to steal the money in the Social Security Trust Fund to repay our $1 trillion dollar debt to China, the mandate part of Obamacare was determined to be unconstitutional by a Federal judge, and Egypt is in upheaval, impacting the entire Arab world and the US and EU.

What Mama Grifter says or doesn't say is really irrelevant. I get it though. For bloggers in Alaska, Mama Grifter's every word, what she's wearing, where she's going and her nutty family, provides fodder for the blogs, but seriously, after the Tucson massacre, Mama Grifter's brand took a hit that she will, in my view, never recover from.

The lamestream media is losing interest in her. Maybe it will take another 6 months for this process to bubble up to Alaska but, believe me, no one cares about Sarah Palin any more.

I don't think Dana Milbank is completely trustworthy anyway. I recall members of my family having email dialogue with him just before and after the start of the Iraq war. He didn't appear to be genuinely neutral, at all. Far from it. He wasn't alone in the MSM of course, but still.

I think he's one of those journalists who wants everyone to think he's more liberal than he actually is. It's a common phenomenon.

The points about self-promotion are probably the most accurate here.

...Then there is Michelle Obama, an elegant woman, an Ivy League educated First lady whose new agenda is to promote healthier diets among Americans. While obesity in America has been an epidemic for most of my life, diet, it seems is the perfect agenda for Mrs. Obama seeing how appearance and health are so intertwined with self-image, particularly among those in the media. A few weeks back, Sarah Palin dared criticized Michelle for having the audacity to tell Americans what to eat, as if this somehow suggested Michelle was using her political power as further government control.

In the case of these two women, it almost upsets me to compare them because as far as I'm concerned, Sarah Palin is a fame junkie with no genuine concern for America. Lets take a closer look at their marriages and family life. Though Republicans will shamelessly defend her, Sarah Palin's family has produced an unwed pregnant, overweight child and a marriage that begs the question, how dare the Palin's pretend they are the ideal American family? Sarah and her husband seem disinterested in one another. It goes without saying that all families have their share of problems but we don't go around pointing fingers of superiority as the Palins so notoriously do towards the Obamas.

The Obamas on the other hand, always give the impression of a couple in love with healthy, happy children, of healthy weight, with an attitude that is so appealing they come off as American Royalty similar to the Kennedys. Michelle Obama is the perfect First Lady, there is nothing anyone can say bad about her, unless you're a racist and secretly discredit her because she is black which I suspect is what's behind much of the commotion on those conservatives who openly despise the Obamas.
