In another indication that Sarah Palin's ship is sinking, John McCain is rowing as fast as he can away from it.

Please don't let me be blamed for her.
From The State Column:

Arizona U.S. Senator John McCain says he will not be backing any of the potential Republican presidential candidates as they look to defeat President Barack Obama in the 2012 election.

“I think I’m staying out of this for the first time in many years,” Mr. McCain told Politico on Thursday.

I have been hearing for months that the Republicans are desperate to get Palin away from their party before 2012, and may in fact be the ones behind certain information leaking to the media and bloggers.

Obviously from John McCain's reaction he does not want to be anywhere close when Palin's political Titanic finally takes on too much water and gets sucked down into the inky blackness.

The question that all of you keep asking me is about the "iceberg," so let me clear that up.

The original iceberg from back in the summer of 2009 concerns an investigation, the status of which I am not privy to.  The people behind this investigation are very secretive and do not discuss an ongoing investigation with anybody. The only reason we knew anything in the beginning is because some of us were asked questions and were able to glean what it was about.  (Also one of the investigators kind of slipped and confirmed what it was about.  That will not happen again.) Since that initial contact we know as little about its progress as any of you.

However there are numerous bombshells coming down the pike, and in my opinion taken individually they would be very damaging, but cumulatively they are devastating.

And though the dates and ties they are to be revealed remains fluid, I am certain that most, if not all, will be revealed in 2011.

I am, of course, also working on my own even as we speak.  If things go well, that should be coming out shortly.

Palin's Peyton Place offered some good photo-forensics, proving that there were two, if not three babies involved in this hoax . . .

Of course people involved with the McCain campaign know more than we do at this point and are able to tell fellow insiders working on '12 campaigns. Palin is a problem for the GOP and, for them, the best thing is for her not to be part of the equation at all.

Sarah Palin and her toxic record as governor of Alaska

Alaska has the highest incidence of birth defects in the whole country and a responsible governor would look at the statistics and try to find solutions for the problem. That's common sense.

Let's have look at some of her policies and what impact they had, how they helped alleviate such a serious problem affecting the people in her beautiful state of Alaska. Sarah Palin's record speaks for itself.

    http://palingates.blogspot.com/2011/02/sarah-palin-and-her-toxic-record-as.html

It appears that the Governor's record on environmental issues actually contribute to the higher than average incidence of birth defects and abnormal development of children in Alaska. Let me see if I have understood it correctly: Sarah Palin's actions help create a problem then she champions the cause of the people affected by that problem?

So happy about this. Palin has been very bad for this country. I am grateful for what you've done to reveal her for who she really is. Hopefully we will learn from her, and be a better, stronger nation in that we won't let greedy liars divert us bettering ourselves in truly meaningful ways.

So, this is why the release date of Geoffrey Dunn's book: "The Lies of Sarah Palin" has moved up (again) to June!? :-)

Although, we all blame McCain for unleashing a monster, remember his advisors are the ones who suggested Palin. He wanted Lieberman. I wonder what the TX Republicans will think after their delight of having SP be the VP candidate?

Dennis Simon, co-author of Breaking the Political Glass Ceiling: Women and Congressional Elections said that McCain "has reached beyond traditional Republican and Washington insiders, and identified a first-term female governor with an intriguing personal narrative."

"This will be an interesting experiment, and Palin may just attract disgruntled Hillary supporters," said Simon, an associate professor of political science at Southern Methodist University.

I agree that the violent rhetoric hasn't helped, but it hasn't worsened anything. The feds haven't even addresses it. Where's the leadership we deserve?

I will say that if not for Sarah's voice on things like death panels, I fear that people wouldn't know the true about that atrocious bill and other horrible and distracting bills would have been passed earlier.

Again, we must ask ourselves. Why would a president, after taking control of a country with uncontrollable debt and horrid unemployment numbers even CONSIDER passing ridiculously expensive legislation that doesn't even better the country's citizens?

Instead of pitting one politician against another (that will always be done no matter who's involved) ask yourself "why?" more often. It will open your eyes to the reasons SOOOO many people quickly turn in the current president

Unless Palin declares that she is running for POTUS none, NONE, of this information will be released! The powers that be will meet with her and convince her to "spend more time with her family", and we will be denied the great pleasure to see her shamed by all of the revelations that we are aware of. Shamed, is that even a word that Sarah has ever met? The common person would be too embarassed to show his/her face after all of the lying crap this woman has fed the American people.

When you have a sinister, slippery, well-funded, victim-playing, vindictive creature like Sarah Heath Palin, it is critical to get ALL, each and every one, of your 'ducks in a row'.

This takes time. Time to develop relationships and trust, connections and facts, images and testimonials.

Every single lead has to be checked and rechecked to make sure who can be trusted, if the source is accurate, legitimate, willing to come forward. Every quote, article, photograph, tweet, facebook, book must be investigated, analyzed and then it all has to happen again...it must be IRONCLAD for there to be no room to slip out of the grip. This takes TIME and Gryphen has been putting in a substantial amount of it.

So this I say to anyone who is coming to this blog and complaining about how long it's taken and crying about their frustration or disappointment that Gryphen can't just magically snap his fingers to satisfy all your Sarah cravings.

STOP. Stop and consider that you have NO IDEA of what is going on with who behind the scenes to finally crack this one wide open for the world to view the utter depravity that fuels this dark creature.

STOP. Stop and consider that you are coming to someone's blog who is committed to Truth and getting information out in a form that is straightforward, truthful, intelligent, thoughtful, and generous of heart...and often laced with delicious humor, snark, intimacy and soul.

STOP. Stop whining like little school children that are waiting for recess or their snack, squirming and squealing their discomforts.

STOP. Stop and think about the HUGE mission and the glorious people who have been relentlessly working for YEARS to expose the lying, grifting, narcissistic, pathological personality that calls itself Sarah Heath Palin.

Gryphen is to only to be commended for what he does for us, for this country and for those of us out here that feel helpless to stop this woman. He's the one who has boots on the ground and round the clock awareness of the next piece to fall into place. You just open his blog.

STOP and thank him for all he does, if you haven't. YOU don't do it...he does. And you get to enjoy the cathartic satisfaction when the whole enchilada is laid out in the bright light of sunshine.

So, STOP BITCHING and COMPLAINING, get some patience and gratitude and then STFU.

*Unless of course you are a troll, then all of this must be scaring the holy hell out of you, or you wouldn't be here.

ps. There are a lot of people who make it a regular thing to acknowledge Gryphen and his work, so I'm not talking to you guys. You guys are always kind and thoughtful and let Gryphen know of the value he brings.

I am waiting for a McCain quote something like this as soon as the Palin Babygate hoax is exposed (but not before): "Oh my goodness gracious, I just learned about the hoax. How really distressing. Of course I had heard rumors, but who would believe such a thing? Had I known earlier, I surely would have told you immediately, my dear electorate. I guess I'm just too principled and trusting. I am shocked, just really so very shocked. Boo hoo, we have all been so deceived."

So Sarah is speaking at RR 100 event today, and I'm wondering, do the event organizers "help" write or pre-approve the speech to avoid any embarrassments? It just doesn't seem possible that they would take a chance with what she comes up with "on her own". Will this be an elite or poor-person teleprompter address? She probably would rather go with the hand-thing, but will be forced to use the one they supply!

I, too, believe the GOP leadership is behind the trickle of info and will not hesitate to open the flood gates if she does not announce she will NOT be running for office - perhaps as soon as this weekend - with some line about "it is not her time" (leaving the door open for 2016 or 2020)

The GOP is in dire staights - financially ($23M), politically the party of NO (immigration, equal rights, DADT, job stimulation,) and they really do not have a viable candidate to win against Obama with the American Crossroads & T-Party hurting the fundraising.

The Death Panels Sarah Palin Doesn’t Want You To Know About

This is the real story of Sarah Palin’s death panels; the death panels she doesn’t want anyone to know about because these death panels are real, they did kill people, and she was in charge of them as the executive of her state – in fact, these death panels did exactly what she accused Obama’s healthcare reform of doing. They killed disabled and elderly people who were waiting to be determined worthy of care.

Conservatives’ healthcare repeal efforts were predictably shut down by the Senate yesterday, so James Taranto wasted his column in the Murdoch owned Wall Street Journal yesterday defending Palin’s Death Panel lie. He claims she was speaking figuratively but of course, this makes her lie no less of a lie. But his anxious defense of Palin’s lie reminded me of a story that no one told in 2009, just weeks before Palin announced she “wouldn’t be running again” (aka, “quitting two years early”).

Oh, irony, thy name is Sarah Palin.

Let’s go back in time to 2009, when Palin unveiled her Death Panels lie. She said, “To me, while reading that section of the bill, it became so evident that there would be a panel of bureaucrats who would decide on levels of health care, decide on those who are worthy or not worthy of receiving some government-controlled coverage. Since health care would have to be rationed if it were promised to everyone, it would therefore lead to harm for many individuals not able to receive the government care. That leads, of course, to death.”

    It sure did in Alaska.

But you know what? This running away from her now makes me respect you even less, oddly. She did manage to save your hide in the 2010 elections - and you can't return the favor? You really are a worm. Not that I give a damn for Sarah Palin's sake.

And as far as McCain goes; as someone else pointed out, McCain did not pick her...the operatives did and that was pretty clear from the beginning. But her name will always be linked to his and tarnish the legacy regardless of who actually placed her name on the ticket. @8:58 I read an unauthorized biography of George W. Bush which described his wild life of too much alcohol and drugs. He was involved in an auto accident in Texas, and in the course of investigating the accident, drugs were found in the car (cocaine). George may or may not have been under the influence. George was sentenced to 6 months of community service in a poor section of town.

Later, when GWB wanted to run for governor, his good lawyer, Alberto Gonzalez had to erase that auto accident. The book mentioned that Bush senior once headed the CIA, so it shouldn't shock anyone what followed.

Bush was told to let his Texas drivers license lapse and expire. Then, after a short period of time when the number would vanish, George was to apply for a new license (never mentioning the previous one). In the course of background checks and investigations in the governors race, the record of the incriminating auto accident with drugs wouldn't appear, since the only connection to it, the drivers license number, had vanished.

And, given the influence and connections of both Bush's father and grandfather, they have probably been connected with much much more. Sarah is small potatoes compared with these guys.

Someone on the McCain campaign (might have been Schmidt or in the book Game Changers) said that not long after her introductory period, McCain never even spoke to Sarah and that on the campaign planes they never sat together; he was with his people discussing strategy and she was several seats back and that he didn't even acknowledge her.

I wondered then if he knew about babygate and some other details of her past but it was too late and he was stuck with her. But why the hostility? Hmmm.
