Two more operatives have jumped off Sarah Palin's ship of fools.

From New York Magazine:

According to sources with knowledge of Palinland, Palin parted ways with longtime aides Jason Recher and Doug McMarlin just before the midterm elections. Until recently, Recher was a key player in Palin's operation. The shuffling of mid-level staffers would seem like a minor, inside development, but the move carries much larger significance: Palin's staffing issues remain one of her biggest political weak spots when compared to her talents as a speaker, fund-raiser, and media personality.

Recher, a 31-year-old GOP operative, was perhaps Palin's most trusted supporter in the trenches of the '08 run (he famously encouraged her to go to Michigan against the wishes of McCain headquarters). Known on the '08 campaign for his well-honed impressions of President Bush, Recher bonded with Palin, and following the campaign, Recher and McMarlin formed a consulting company, NorthStar Strategies, which ran Palin's travel schedule and logistics. They organized Palin's national book tour for Going Rogue. According to the most recent financial filing, NorthStar billed SarahPAC, her political operation, $10,000 in November 2010.

But Recher came to take on more than a simple logistics role: He participated in the morning conference call with Palin's small coterie of advisers and often served as a de facto press secretary. But around the time the 2010 midterm elections rolled around, Recher mysteriously dropped out of Palinland. He was no longer on conference calls and went off to help organize the book tour for Bush's memoir, Decision Points. When the Decision Points book tour concluded, Recher didn't return to the Palin camp. Sources close to Palinland wouldn't say why Recher and Palin split. "We never hear about this stuff," one source explained, saying simply that Recher just was no longer in the picture. (Recher and McMarlin didn't respond to several phone messages and e-mails.)

So Team Palin gains a new Chief of Staff after losing two trusted aides. Not surprising in the least. Though kind of interesting that there are never any reasons given or any time for good-byes provided to those who have worked alongside these two gentlemen for such an extended period of time. (Hell in "Palin years" lasting for two years is almost like a decade in any other organization.)

This does not sound as if Palin is getting any easier to work with, and is probably still burning through aides and advisers like cigarettes at an AA meeting.

Now there are two more potential sources of information for the various authors, bloggers, and magazine writers to interview.  I wonder who will be the first to get an exclusive?

At this point watching the rotting of the Palin political corpse is becoming a little hard to stomach.

I doubt either of them will talk unless of of these icebergs actually hits her.

I find this very interesting, though. I wonder how many others have left or been booted. Is this the reason behind the lack of Facebookin' and tweetin'? What is up?

Ya forgot to mention, Sarah Palin lost her most trusted supporter….. Tawd Palin.

The SS Sarah Palin hit multiple icebergs and started springing leaks all over the place and Tawd decided to abandon ship into the comforting warm arms of first mate Ms. Tripp and they both set sail for a two year cruise to calmer oceans.

There are too many reasons to count why Palin will never truly get competent advisors that will want to stay--no matter how much money she pays them.

Her major problem is she will never listen to them and she is a teeming sociopath.

The only people that stay with her are family, a few friends she hasn't dismissed, people that owe her politically and the delusion angry types. I watch nervously for a Selena repeat with RAM. And as Palin trusts no one she has no allegiance to anything except for herself and money. Of course when her "supposed" trusted minions find out really ugly things about her even they need to go heave and leave the compound. Or they find out too much and the queen cuts off their head. . . .

Some of these people never really go away they just
can't stay. She can still ring their bell—you know like Staplemouth. She bucks up for Palin when need be. Recher was supposed to be a true believer though. Maybe he still is—just doing a little Bush spying for the Tundra Tart. Although the Bushs are not Palin lovers.

We'll never know. Those privacy agreements everyone signs are pretty iron clad I'll bet. Sarah probably takes better care of her lawyer than she does of her red suit, just to make sure. But wouldn't you love to be a fly on the wall if all the exs ever started a group traumatized by Sarah?

Mood stabilizers and hugs for everybody . . . .

She's over, and since she's such a pain in the ass, these guys, who were along for the ride and who have lives and careers in front of them, are getting out before all the dirt they're hiding turns into messy mudpiles.. We've seen this play before, but Palin is too stupid to know about the "night of the long knives." Besides that, nuts and menopause are an impossible combo--they probably can see that coming right at 'em. Hope these enablers had to sign non-disclosure agreements so they can't profit in print. Freedom of speech, of course, can't be signed away--heh.

Standing up for your beliefs does not require yelling, name-calling, or intimidating. I think that it's an interesting coincidence that nationally there is an ongoing anti-bullying campaign as part of our schools' character ed. People don't like mean people and aren't tolerating them anymore.

Staplemouth (Meg Stapleton) just reared her head in Anchorage as a TV announcer for an auction for public television over the weekend.

I recall how horrible she was during her time w/Palin...she was one nasty woman and was old enough to know better.

Cannot imagine why anyone would even want to be part of that Palin group - although it really isn't that big a gathering. Thank God!

It's likely that her slimy lawyer Van Whatever has put them under an ironclad non-disclosure agreement and they won't be able to 'spill the beans' on her. I hope that isn't the case, but we all know how the rabid lawyer dog goes after people whenever he can. With all her shady dealings and secrecy, it seems unlikely that they didn't make sure to muzzle those in the know.

If the shoe fits, Sarah, and from the looks of this, it's like Cinderella for the Sick and Twisted.

Malignant narcissism usually manifests at a very young age even though it never becomes an official diagnosis until adulthood because this is how the grand poo-bahs of psychology play the game of labeling.

There is a creature that exists in human form that has become distinctly different than those of us who do struggle against selfishness. In a very deliberate and conscious way these people have made a decision to not fight against their selfish impulses. They have embraced them. They have found ways to completely justify them. They are quite proud of their freedom to do anything they want to anyone they want. They may be quietly smug about it or openly boastful; nevertheless, they're proud of their ability to get their way.

They see themselves as set apart from mere humanity. They distance themselves from the human race by setting themselves apart from and above them. They do this by word and by action. They even usurp the very throne of God Himself as they position themselves as god over all they survey. They reserve to themselves the right to define reality to all in their domain. All this results in the train of woe that follows from the human embodiment of evil.

There are so many pics of Sarah Palin and her tongue thing. A nervous habit, meds,(?)something is weird about it, you would think if it were a habit, she would have tried breaking it. Not becoming. Thanks to Gryphen and other bloggers who post them. Good visual reminder that there is something messed up with Sarah.

It is easy to believe Steve Schmidt's accounts of Sarah as the difficult candidate during the 2008 campaign. Then, she wasn't in charge of hiring people. She had a top flight team handling her, and she couldn't follow their directions. And, she stood to win a really important job, and she couldn't do it. She helped to sink the John McCain campaign.

I also tend to believe Chuck Heath when he said some time ago that Sarah doesn't make her own decisions. Oh, she gets to approve them, but she's not in charge. I have to wonder if her silent, behind the scenes managers are the ones in charge of picking her soon-to-be campaign staff. We also have to consider what Sarah's role will be in the 2012 election.

She has little chance of winning. But, she is attractive to the base. She generates attention and donations. Her endorsements may help. With Sarah in the race, the race will get coverage. What else do those guys have in mind for her?

I think Palin has problems retaining staff members the same as Michelle Bachmann who also burns through staff members quicker than anyone on Capitol Hill. It could be that they're prima donnas who can't be bothered with dealing with those who aren't always inclined to tell them that they are right and don't constantly stroke their egos which appear to be job requirements if one seeks employment with either of these ignorant attention seekers.

Whatever happened to Meg Stapletong? I thought by now she would've secretly released some damaging information about Palin that others might not have known. She must've had to signed a pretty strong severence contract written by non other than Van Fleece, but she probably recieved a pretty hefty severence package in return that would explain why she is being so quite. I don't think Palin probably has any true friends that wouldn't turn against her for the right kind of money. Afterall, her friends have to know Palin has caused enough carnage already under her bus and she wouldn't give a second thought to do it to them dispite what she may have promised them.

So it's kind of curious why he isn't barking out about the articles on Tawd's indiscretions with the Ladies of the Night and also about the Wildy Impossible Trig Birth by Sarah?

To add to what angela (3:37 PM) said about reasons why Palin can't get competent advisors...

Top talent attracts top talent, and Palin is at the bottom of the talent pool. She'll never attract the best in the field because they'd rather go elsewhere and for serious causes, not support a fraudulent personality just to make a buck.

Simple answer to why Palin can't get or keep talented advisors or people. The answer is obvious when you know what the question is. The question is who would book a ticket for a cruise on the SS Titanic knowing the Titanic is on a collision course with several icebergs. You gotta be damn dumb to be talented and hitch a ride with Palin. Now, if you are not talented and can't get a job like Rebecca Mansour for example, then of course you would sign onto the Titanic and ride it until something better comes along or until it is time to abandon ship.

Tongue thingy is an indicative trait of the ancestral family Homos serpentineus, dating back to the Garden of Eden. The organ is spasmed from the buildup of poisonous toxins which must be purged by occasional spewing of venomous monologues.
It is genetically passed through progeny eg: father to daughter, mother to daughters.
Relief from symptoms can be found by removing the afflicted from artificial limelight, klieg lights, tele-prompters, and surroundings of dim bulbs.

I am also a fan of Anna's blog "Narcissists Suck". She is a survivor of an N mother, but many of her observations apply to Quitty.

As to why Jason Recher was suddenly dropped from her staff, I would guess it was because he was no longer available 24/7 to jump to her slightest whim. God forbid he had a new wife or another job assignment he had to devote time to.

I hope at some point (perhaps when Quitty is behind bars) all of her ex-staffers will network together and write a chapter each in a book titled "Working with that Crazy Woman from Wasilla".

There is an article on HP - A twist in Palin's Pick -

It is from the daily beast and written by Shushannah Walshe, a Palin lover.

One of the things she says is that - Jason Recher was sidelined by speech-writer & social-media guru Rebecca Mansour.

First time I have ever heard palinbot Bekkky referred to as a guru. Of course, this is written by Shushannah Walshe and she is loving her some palin.

She also writes about the money spent on clothes for Sarah and says it was because of this new chief of staff who worked back in 2008 for Palin.
