The website "Sarah Palin for President in 2012" closes down in order to endorse Ron Paul instead. Ouch, that's gotta hurt!

Well THAT can't be a good sign for the Grizzled Mama now can it?

Here is a message of explanation from its creator:

We originally grabbed the www.palin4pres2012.com a few minutes into Sarah Palin’s excellent speech in 2008 at the GOP national convention. She obviously believes in limited government, is unquestionably the best GOP speaker since Ronald Reagan and the Republican establishment hates her guts. This was reason enough for us to create the website pending other likely candidates for the GOP nomination in 2012 including Ron Paul.

My name is Ron Holland, I’m a conservative/libertarian political and financial writer and I have owned and run the Sarah Palin for President in 2012 website. We have decided to close the website and endorse Congressman Ron Paul for President in 2012 because of his unique support for a balanced foreign policy, sound money and limiting the power of the Federal Reserve.
It is clear looking at Washington’s ongoing neocon foreign policy failures in the Middle East that America can’t afford more of the same after 2012. Paul is best qualified to campaign and educate the US electorate about a balanced alternative to the past 30 years of neocon mistakes.

Frankly during the last two years, we have become increasingly concerned about Sarah Palin’s continued dependence on neocon foreign policy advisors and their failing missions of costly military invasions and occupations especially in the Middle East. The long-term strategy of President Clinton, Bush and Obama of empire building and meddling in the affairs of other nations has turned much of the world against the United States. Now we are seeing oil resources and threatened in the Mideast in reaction to our invasions, drone attacks and support of foreign authoritarian regimes. We fear Egypt is just the first of many empire dominos to fall in the region.

Freedom and a return to a limited government republic at home can no more survive the financial costs and actions of the Washington Empire abroad than could the old empires of Rome and Great Britain. Palin’s neocon foreign policy views abroad and lack of understanding of Austrian and free-market economic solutions at home are needed today when a global run on the dollar and our treasury obligations threatens. We must endorse a potential candidate who understands the threat to our future prosperity by the Federal Reserve, Wall Street bailouts and will stand up against the political establishments of both political parties

Gee you can hardly blame Ron.  After all Palin was ONLY able to garner 3% of the vote at CPAC, while Ron Paul won for the second year running.

Hmm, I am trying to imagine how the Palin-bots can spin this so it is NOT a huge embarrassment for their Queen.  Anybody?

P.S. In case you think this is just  made up can visit the website for yourself by clicking here.

I had a horrible day today, until now. I am very happy for her loss.
I wonder how much of a revenue loss that is for her?

It is interesting how much more coherant everyone sounds when not under her spell.

Yes, Sarah, the truth is out. Your farts do stink. And, everyone hates you. Your husband went back to the Tribe because he knows you and your family are simple white trash. Yes, your unemployed, loud-mouth skeleton creating, bully of a dad is white trash. Do I need to say anything about Bristol's chin? What kind of a MOther were you that your child would have such a low opinion of herself?

I have to question this group's standards when they set up the site minutes into when this unknown was given a bullhorn at the 2008 GOP Convention.

Even I have to admit, if you weren't interested in fact-checking and being intimate with her casual relationship with the truth and her outrageous embellishments to her record and accomplishments, she knocked that speech out of the park.

    Everything was downhill from there.

But for folks, even bots, to say shit like this:

"is unquestionably the best GOP speaker since Ronald Reagan. . ."

is dumbfounding. Honestly. This woman can't speak, write, scribble or tweet a coherent thought and they keep saying she's a communicator in league with someone like a trained actor like President Reagan?

    I'm embarrassed for them.

I am thoroughly fed up with these jackazzez that pretend to only have awakened since January 20, 2009. Every one of them has an opinion, but none of them have any solutions to any problems, and if they were so adamant about the Federal Reserve, the deficit, the two wars, and neocon foreign policy efforts, surely they would have been marching on Washington, D.C. repeatedly. And, pray tell, just what was President Obama to do about Afghanistan and Iraq, just walk away, causing more instability in the region? And, furthermore, what is this fixation on Middle Eastern oil resources over a focus on the rights of the people living in the region? Some way to show how much you love freedom! These folks may think Ron Paul is the answer to their prayers, but I've seen too many presidents run on platforms they can't live up to once they take office, and the same thing would happen to Ron Paul. If his supporters think he can magically fulfill all of their dreams and desires, they need to schedule an appointment with a mental health professional ASAP.

I'd like to jump up and down and score this one as a big political loss for Sarah except for one detail. Who is this guy? He doesn't make too much sense. If he thought that she was the greatest speaker since Reagan, OMG, and he ran out and bought a Palin domain name, I am not so sure about his judgment. Especially that stuff about Austrian and free market solutions. I'd be much happier when the Koch brothers or Rupert announce their support for some other candidate than Sarah. I'd be happy if the Tea Party distances themselves from Sarah, claiming that she is just too violent and controversial, even for them. I'd even be happy if Rebecca Mansour announced that she just landed a big movie deal and would have to leave the best job she ever had. But, this guy? OK, it's one less person supporting Sarah. It's a start.

OT: Did anyone else read the Bristol Palin Inc. article in the Feb. 21 issue of NEWSWEEK? I know, I know, I hate NEWSWEEK too but they just keep sending me the rag a month after I let my subscription run out. Anyway, the article says: "There's a long tradition of kids cashing in on a parent's name: Jenna Bush, Ron and Michael Reagan, the Roosevelts. But at least their dads were presidents, not one-term governors. Based on NEWSWEEK'S estimates of her revenue potential everywhere from publishing to consulting, Bristol's fueling a surprisingly sizable industry all her own." Yea, NEWSWEEK might want to check the facts on that "one-term governor" quote. With a failure like that it's no wonder NEWSWEEK is just a shell of its former self.
The article says that Bristol's estimated annual revenue is $6.2 million. There are six pictures of the media slut. There's the picture of Bristol looking like Miss Piggy with her leather-clad mom, there's Bristol in that blue '60s sock-hop outfit from DWTS trying to camouflage kid #3. There's the picture when she made her acting debut with the vest thingy, and there's the cover photo on US magazine of the wedding that never was. Well, I guess somebody in the Palin family's gotta' have a job since it's not looking so good for SP Inc. and Tawd's gone off of the reservation. Where is he anyway? Is he in the Iron Dog? Maybe everyone needs to wear the 'Where's Todd?' buttons or put his mug on a milk carton.
Keep up the good reporting Gryphen!

Mrs Todd Palin (I like to say that because after the Shaley Tripp rumors, it has to piss her off to have her name associated with Todd)is the best speaker in the Republican party? Screecher you mean? And she can't even do that unless she has a teleprompter. She cannot think on her feet, thus the aversion to being interviewed.

I think this is Ron's way of trying to let her down easy, but unfortunately, she doesn't go down easy. (unless some of the other rumors are true heh heh) Ron Holland will find he's now under the Palin bus with hundreds of others. But I have to respect a guy who can admit a mistake.

When even the batshit crazy conservatives are abandoning Palin, we can pretty much go ahead and fork the bitch. If these cousin humpin' goobers don't think she is worth backing, just who in the hell is going to vote for her?

Seriously, if she ever had a snowballs chance in hell of winning even a couple of primaries, it is surely gone now. The ONLY chance Palin ever had was to slam dunk a couple of early primaries and lock up the GOP nomination. But she would STILL face the insurmountable task of convincing a huge number of Democrats and Independents that she really isn't a moron. However, now any opportunity she ever had for engineering some kind of primary blitzkrieg is obviously gone.

If the knuckle dragging asshats at CPAC - these are the folks who openly embrace The John Birch Society - only give her 3% in their straw poll, she is truly done. It's all over but the shoutin'.

I say we fork her now.

Unlikw his son Rand. Ron is NOT CRAZY. If anyone wants to undo the mess that 8 years of Bush/Darth Cheney did to thisd country it is RON Paul. Ron may fail in some areas, but out of any republican, I would chose him. I went to a rally last presidential election cycle. The people at the rally were not crazy teabaggers. They were peope like me:educated, wanted the bogus wars stopped, want a new true investigation into the growing anomalies in the 9/11 official story, people who want the Fed Reserve audited or done away with....Also, Ron PAul is on of the only officials left still actively trying to get any remaining POWs from Vietnam...apparently there may still be some, which I never knew.
Sarah Palin is smart enough to clean Ron Pauls toilets, that's about it.
I wish people would try and separate Ron from the crazies and read his platform. I venture many who frequent these PAlin truth seeking blogs would like what they read.

Meant to add, I've read repeatedly on anti Palin blogs re Teabaggers: Where were these people when Bush/Cheney were decimating our constitution yada yada yada..The answer is We Were supporting Ron Paul for these reasons. We were very vocal . We have been hijacked . I am not kidding. The people at these rallies today are NOTHING like the people at the Constitution Center in Phila in 2008. I don't know where they all are now. But, I am here, supporting Obama and listening to Paul and working to expose the frauds of Palins, waiting to see how this all pans out.

Commenting on yesterday's post about Sarah's tanking poll numbers, it is worth noting that these polls were taken weeks ago, I can only imagine that current sentiments are even worse. This time-lag consideration is relevant for her staff stories too, by the time she got a chief in staff in place, it seems he isn't needed.

It couldn't possibly be about the same mini-Sarah who whimpers about how hard it is being a single mom.

    Anon @ 3:11,
Ron Paul is quite simply a stone cold racist. Paul has not fully or even truthfully dealt with the racist content in his newsletters that he sent out in the early '90s.

Here are some of what Ron Paul published in his newsletters:

    • "Boy, it sure burns me to have a national holiday for that pro-communist philanderer Martin Luther King. I voted against this outrage time and time again as a Congressmen [sic]. What an infamy that Ronald Reagan approved it! We can thank him for our annual Hate Whitey Day.”

    • “Opinion polls consistently show that only about 5 percent of blacks have sensible political opinions...”

    • “Given the inefficiencies of what D.C. laughingly calls the `criminal justice system,' I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal.”

    • “If you have ever been robbed by a black teen-aged male, you know how unbelievably fleet-footed they can be...”

    • "We are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers."

    http://www.nizkor.org/ftp.cgi/people/g/ftp.py?people/g/gannon.dan/1992/gannon.0793

    http://newsone.com/nation/casey-gane-mccalla/ron-pauls-racist-newsletters-revealed/

    http://www.frumforum.com/ron-pauls-racist-newsletters

Ron Paul is a racist fuck. Period. He denied authoring the above content, but he has never denied that it appeared in a newsletter with his name blazoned across the top. He is TOTALLY responsible for the content and has not ever credibly accounted for it appearing in his newsletter, one that I would note was sent out by a sitting U.S. Congressman.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you may not have been fully aware of Paul's racist past. You can no longer make that claim.
