Ladies and gentlemen let me present Sarah Palin's brain, Rebecca Mansour. Updated.



The elusive RAM

In an organization that is opaque, if not secretive, Mansour's profile has remained especially low. News stories have described her as an "all-purpose advisor," Palin's "enforcer," her "secret asset." Vanity Fair said Mansour was "Palin's most unconventional hire."

Mansour declined half a dozen requests to meet for this story. Her reticence, said the Palin aide, "is a sign that she is loyal and that she is focused on doing her job and not on being in the public eye. That's one of her greatest strengths: her total lack of ambition to be the story itself."

"I cannot stress enough," Mansour said by phone, "I am the most boring individual."

This is only a taste of what is in the article, and the Times has done a fairly reasonable job of finally fleshing out just who has been putting words in Palin's mouth, and standing in for her on Facebook, and Twitter.

This is the first "good" photo I have ever seen of RAM, and all I can say is...well nothing nice actually.

So that is what a person who feeds solely on occasional attention from the Grizzled Mama, and spends all day baring her teeth and Twitter-scratching the eyes out of any potential Palin critics looks like.

Maybe it is just me, but is anybody else instantly reminded of the movie Batman Returns?

Update: If I may I would like to point out that I did not say that RAM was unattractive, I simply pointed out that this picture reminded me of a character in the Batman Returns movie, which it did almost immediately.  For all you know I could have been talking about Michelle Pfeiffer. (Okay I did not expect you to buy that one.)

However if you want me to worry about Becky's feelings getting hurt because some people are making comments about her looks, sorry I am usually quite chivalrous but not for somebody like RAM.

And seeing her in the flesh may very well help to expalin WHY she is so drawn to Snowdrift Snooki.

I would have to imagine that Mansour was probably not somebody who was invited to the cool parties, or was asked to hang out with the cheerleaders and football players.  So having attention paid to her by somebody who she clearly worships, the ultimate ex-beauty queen who EVERYBODY wanted to be with, had to have made her feel special.  And what would Becky be willing to do for somebody who finally made her feel part of the cool kids group?

Just about anything, would be my guess.

So yes, in this case RAM's outward appearance may help to solve part of the mystery as to why she is so completely infatuated with Palin. Therefore it should be noted and opened to discussion.

Now the question that I am curious about is whether the picture that was first identified as RAM, and sent to me as such, is in fact the same person pictured above. 

Any thoughts?

Update: The comments section had yet another picture of RAM. Oh my.

BTW if you concern trolls think the comments here are harsh you should all head on over the LA Times comment section and see what THEY are saying. Comparatively speaking things are rather mild over here.
