Schaeffer Cox pictured in the middle. |
Five people in the Fairbanks area were arrested Thursday by state and federal law enforcement on charges connected with an alleged plot to kidnap or kill state troopers and a Fairbanks judge, according to the Alaska State Troopers.
"Schaeffer" Cox, Lonnie Vernon, Karen Vernon, Coleman Barney and Michael Anderson are accused of conspiring to commit murder, kidnapping, and arson, as well as weapons misconduct, hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence, according to trooper spokeswoman Megan Peters in a written statement late Thursday.
An investigation "revealed extensive plans to kidnap or kill Alaska state troopers and a Fairbanks judge," the statement said. The plans included "extensive surveillance" on the homes of two Fairbanks troopers, the statement said.
While Peter King is engaging in a massive display of religious intolerance by opening hearings to investigate American Muslims for possible terrorist ties, we have individuals right here in Alaska, professed Christians all, who are plotting to kill our local law enforcement officials.
And by the way this Schaeffer Cox is the same guy who named Joe Miller as a personal friend.
Schaeffer Cox offered but tepid support of Miller saying, “He's going to try to run things in a more conservative way, but he's still trying to run things -- so he has the same fundamental problem of all the other politicians.” He volunteered in the Salon interview, however, " that he personally knows and likes Miller."
You remember Joe Miller right? Palin's hand picked candidate to run against Lisa Murkowski? The guy with his own personal militia, which he used to harass local journalists?
So my question is why is Rep. Peter King wasting his time, and this nation's precious resources, going after Muslims instead of focusing his attention on the real "enemy within?" You know the friends and supporters of Sarah Palin, and her AIP associated group of thugs up here in Alaska?
Besides in my opinion the followers of Sarah Palin are far more unstable and potentially hazardous to this country than any Islamic terrorist sympathizer that Peter King could ever manage to ferret out during that ridiculous sideshow in Washington.
Update: Here are some other examples of non-Muslim home grown terrorism that might interest Peter King, if that is he is really serious about addressing the threat of terrorism in this country.
I thought that wife beating coward, Cox, was on the run from the law. I'm glad they picked him up before he could do more damage in our state.
ReplyDeleteWhy doesn’t this Peter T. King investigate the “Home Grown” radicalization of Irish Americans, who support the tradition wing of the IRA (Irish Republican Army), or Noraid (The Irish Northern Aid Committee), and being recruited by “Enemy Overseas” or worse “Enemy Overseas” the “Catholic Church ”, where their where they radicalize the priests into raping our young American boys, what about that you hypocrite scumbag.
ReplyDeletePeter King is a hypocrite, he supported the terrorist group IRA, who killed innocent British people, but hey I guess that was OK, right? Killing innocent people is OK, as long as they are not born is the United States, yup that sounds about right. I guess Jesus Christ would give all you extra points for that, NOT!
No, there are no dancing in the street when Catholics hear about a pedophile priest, but there has been a concerted effort to Deny, Deflect, Defend this “Enemy Overseas” the “Catholic Church ”, I don’t even think you could deny that fact. What would Jesus Christ, say about this so called Church, I have a few thoughts myself.
What a story! No wonder the people of Wasilla are so scared to speak up.
ReplyDeleteDo we know what judge and state troopers were being targeted? Wonder who they pissed off.
He needs to look no further than this list to find a slew of homegrown terrorists none of which are Muslim.

ReplyDeletePeople in Wasilla are not scared. That is crazy
ReplyDeleteDo you all think Wasillians think about the Palins constantly? That is beyond nuts. People have lives. Haters have agendas.
ReplyDeleteI just read all the comments from the last several posts and I gotta say, Sarah has soooo much power over all of you it's pretty freaking funny. You stalk her when she's out in public, you stalk her daughter's house, you speculate and conjure up rumors when she's enjoying private time at home...
ReplyDeleteAll of that constitutes not only creepiness but certifiable behavior only fit for the loony bin. Is your life that awful that you have to fabricate stories about other people?

ReplyDeleteI have no doubt that Todd and Sarah are friendly with many of these types...paranoid freaks. I wouldn't doubt if Todd isn't thick as thieves with them.
ReplyDeleteIt appears the judge may have been R. Beistline no info on the troopers.

ReplyDeleteCan't wait for your post of why they wanted to do all this stuff. Well, didn't you tell us months ago that the feds were sniffing around up there?
Gryphen, have a great week-end and have some fun.
Here is some more informaton on the ties between Joe Miller and the accused plotters in Alaska. It has to do with Joe Miller's church. Joe Miller is on the Board (unless he has recently quit) of Friends Community Church Fairbanks, Alaska. This is the church that according to the Fairbanks NewsMiner Feb 20, 2009 where-
ReplyDeleteA growing group of Fairbanks gun rights activists will show their support for the Second Amendment today by openly carrying guns.
“We’re going to have an open carry day,” Schaeffer Cox, unofficial leader of the Second Amendment Task Force, said Thursday.
Members of the task force, which he called a “movement” more than a group or organization, will be displaying their firearms openly across Alaska’s second largest city on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the next two weeks, Cox said.
“There’s a social stigma that only cops and robbers have guns,” Cox said. “The truth is everybody is packing but nobody knows it because we keep it concealed.”
Cox said he expects about 500 gun owners in and around Fairbanks to participate. The idea sprouted at the group’s last meeting on Monday at Friends Community Church. The gathering attracted a crowd of more than 600 supporters, Cox said.
This was not the only meeting of the "Second Amendment Task Force" held at the church where Joe Miller sits on the Board of Directors. That was on Miller's campaign literature.
What 'law and order /militia types' other than Bill Fulton and Schaffer Cox attended the 2008 Alaska GOP Convention? Never mind.
The Fairbanks Daily NewsMiner ran a picture of Coleman Barney, one of the alleged plotters arrested.
The caption starts with-
Coleman Barney stands with an AK-47 as he listens to the speaker during the Second Amendment March on Monday, April 19, 2010, in Veterans Memorial Park. Barney, a member of the local Second Amendment Task Force, dressed in a colonial costume to remind people of the significance of the date.

Holy Cow. No wonder your number one priority is protecting the anonymity of your sources. So these nutjobs think that violence and brutality will advance their cause. Idiots.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't they investigage Sarah and Todd Palin too......
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be something seeing them in jail w/these guys?
Aren't they affiliated w/the group that Toad Palin is a member (AIP) -that Palin tried to deny and the McCain group caught her lying!
Sovereign Citizen movement? That's the group that teaches the grammar police dogma, i.e. the not-so-crazy-after-all (at least not individually crazy for that reason alone) ramblings of Jared Loughner.

ReplyDeleteIf these do not exemplify domestic terrorism, what does? Is it just coincidence that they are all white xtian boys?
Anybody else reliving their Orwell phase?
ReplyDeleteWhy is there no news coverage of the arrest of a white supremacist/rightwing nutcase for setting that bomb in Spokane during their MLK parade? If it hadn't been accidently discovered, the death toll would have been horrific. If this "terrorist" were a Moslem, we would never hear the end of it. Instead, no one has even heard of it.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that Coleman Barney (one of the accused plotters) to Schaeffer Cox's right in the picture?
ReplyDeleteIt is your blog and you are entitled to do with it what you want. Why do you not allow certain comments to be posted?

Thanks Gryph.
ReplyDeleteOh you sad little palin pups. No one is stalking your attention seeking fame whore. She inserts herself into every public discussion, mostly by attacking good people in a pathetic and transparently desperate way. Look at me, she begs, look at meeeeeeeeeee!!! Hey, come to think about it, sarah is the stalker. And so are you dopes on her rope, coming over here to whine. Last time I checked, it was still legal to laugh at a freak show. We're just here having a laugh.

Quote from Frank Bailey's Book:
ReplyDelete"When an Anchorage TV news station, KTUU, ran an online poll in May asking Alaskans if they agreed with her decision to reject federal stimulus dollars for energy, Bailey writes that Palin's small inner-circle "invested time, energy, and emotion into linking our computers and utilizing our software into generating votes in favor."
Refreshing the results to run up the votes, they emailed one another.
When an aide said Palin was initially leading in the unscientific survey, the governor responded: "Oh thank God!"
We now know where rabid palinbots come from, Saral and company of course!
haha gryphen the trolls are pissy. they don't like to see "their own" getting in trouble for things that they accuse the "others" of doing. in their hearts they believe that white christians are the good guys, you know, just like the crusaders!
ReplyDeleteWhere is loser Joe Miller in all this? Keeping his head low, I suspect. Why else would he be tweeting his displeasure with Murkowski over her support of head start and pell grants. Hey, not all of us can get a cushy sorta-show-up job with the borough and run a political party from its offices. Joe, you still owe Alaskans, and especially North Star Borough tax payers, a heart-felt apology for your behavior. I don't give no rip what the court said or the deal you worked out. You boodler.
ReplyDeleteHere is a picture that the News Miner ran.

ReplyDeletehttp://redoubtreporter.wordpress.com/2010/03/17/%E2%80%98something-horrible-going-on%E2%80%99-%E2%80%94-rally-takes-government-to-task/
“Authority comes from being congruent from natural law, God’s law. Power comes from the barrel of a gun,” he said......
There are several types of force, Cox said — monetary force and social force, as well as “violent, deadly force.”
“My greatest fear is that they’re not going to hear us until we speak to them in their language, which is force,” Cox said. “… We would be doing a wrong, bad thing if we skipped over all those other forms of force and we jumped right to bloody force, but right now, America is headed to bloody force. If we sit on our hands until it hits the fan and it’s go time, we won’t be able to exercise that warlike force with a clear conscience. So we need to be very faithful with what’s at hand right now.
“I am not opposed to violent, bloody force. I know that is hard to say to a big group of people. It sounds kind of bad but that is something that we’ve got to reckon with. That is a duty that we have as an individual, as people who have families and friends.”
Cox’s force as a presenter resonated with the nearly 150 attendees of the rally. He never resorted to shouting, and didn’t need to in order to generate applause and shouts of support.
There is a lot more and a picture at the link. There are state legislators working with these people in Alaska.
Dang! Those colonial soldiers had AK-47s? No wonder they won the revolution!
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think that our own home grown terroists such as these guys are a greater threat to the security of this nation then a Muslim. Anyone remember the Oklahoma City bombing? Those guys were American grown Milita.
ReplyDeleteMr. King is grand-standing to continue the fear of "brown people"...be afraid, be very very afraid. Why? Because the SOME GROUP needs to rid the country of brown people to make room the new class of WHITE slaves created by eliminating collective bargaining and destroying public education....if the populace doen't know they have any rights, they will never rise up against the Master.
Here's a find! Video of Rep. Don Young, pallin' around with a terrorist (Cox).

WoW! This post really hit a nerve! The militia is on a roll....what do they have to hide?
ReplyDeleteOT - What happened to Shailey Tripp's blog? Is that story still ongoing?
ReplyDeleteHi, 12:31, are you wearing your road-kill wig?
ReplyDeletePeople here would like nothing more than to be able to forget about the miserable Sarah Palin, but she has to keep injecting herself into almost every news cycle.
That's okay because Michelle Bachmann will soon take over Sarah's place and we can all concentrate on exposing how nuts she is - which is much easier because she doesn't seem to lie like Sarah, she is just nuts.
Puhleeze, 6:09. Bachmann is as big a liar as Palin. Just because you're nuts doesn't mean you can't be a deliberate liar as well (as Palin amply demonstrates) and Bachmann has many deliberate lies on her record. I don't think Palin is in any danger of being topped by Bachmann. Does Bachmann have any fan worship sites the likes of C4P?
ReplyDeleteIjust can't believe that Todd's relationship with these kinds of groups has been investigated. Just imagine if Obama had any ties to one. I want hearings on this. The democrates never go for the jugglar like the right wingers and they can just say any thing that pops in their head and the stupids believe, things like Obama and Michell are CIA groomed for the presidency for years.
ReplyDeleteIf Rep. King really wanted to know about home-grown terrorists, he'd go talk to the Southern Poverty Law Center. They track all the hate groups in America.
ReplyDeleteWoW! This post really hit a nerve! The militia is on a roll....what do they have to hide?
ReplyDeleteAll the Alaskan and lower 48 politicians they are involved with.
Yon Dung is only the first to be outed.
Cox said in an interview a couple years ago that he knew Sarah well and before she was in politics. He said she was a nice person, but is too sucseptible to bad advice. ha whatever that means. I watched the interview on U-tube, but can't remember who it was that interviewed him. I googled his nlame and came across it.
ReplyDeletehey Chenagrrl, what's a boodler?
ReplyDeleteElizabeth, great shout out for SPLC. Morris Dees knows upclose about homegrown terrorists.
Gryphen, hope you forward your information to NY Congressman Pete King, since he's on the lookout for terrorists in the US.
ReplyDeleteOh wait, these "Sovereign Citizens" are white Christians and have previous ties with Todd and Sarah Palin. Would King still be interested?
Well, go ahead and give King a heads-up anyway.
One amusing point about political witch hunts. Is that they often find the play-like witches but not the real ones who are smart enough to hide their witchiness.
ReplyDeleteThe McCarthy hearings did actually have one,and maybe only one, real fully fledged communist testify in their hearings. He denied he was a communist, and because they had no evidence that he was, he was in the artist crowd nad thereforensuspect, he walked away, packed his bags and moved to East Berlin. That was the playwright Berthold Brecht, a for real communist.
It's the ones who don't flaunt it that are the real danger.
That is not to say the white supremacist aren't dangerous but they are not going to overthrow the government.
