You can read the whole thing for yourself over at the Alaska Dispatch, but here is the part that I found the most interesting:
The truth is I never heard of this rumor until the governor was picked by McCain for the ticket. Try to find one person who says otherwise, that they told me about it. You can’t. (Bill seems to have left off the "so nanny-nanny-boo-boo" part here.)
And then, yes, she denied it, and as I was by then working for her, I denied it on her behalf. I certainly had no reason to believe it was true, so there was no crisis of conscience involved.
Ah, but the harlot (Oh, boy that never gets old.) asks, what about the photos taken on the second floor of the Capitol on April 13, the final day of the regular legislative session. Well, what about them? The KTUU and KTVA news crews interviewed Gov. Palin about her thoughts on the close of the session. What’s unusual about that? The camera was not mine, but I agreed to pose in one of the shots, which shows a seemingly very pregnant governor. How did they get on the web later? I have no idea. I was never in possession of the photos or the camera they were taken on. KTVA reporter Andrea Gusty later did a news story on the conspiracy theory involving the photos. She is a better person to address this than me. (Yeah but didn't he notice that Palin went from this to this in less than a month? I mean he's just a crappy reporter, he's not blind for God's sakes!)
What does the associate professor think I should have done? Asked for permission to feel the governor’s stomach? (Yes, yes, yes! Why didn't ANYBODY ask to do this? Just imagine how much good that simple little request could have done for the whole country!) Question her aggressively about the progression of her pregnancy and the timing? Why? What reason existed on April 13, 2008, to do anything of the sort? I was reporting on politics, not gynecology. (Okay that is a pretty good line.)
Unfortunately, Palin’s polarizing national persona has created an incredibly toxic environment in which it is not considered enough to attack her. It is also necessary, at any cost, to destroy anyone who ever said a nice word about her. (Okay that is actually backwards, and I think McAllister knows it. But I do agree with that polarizing part.)
After going on three years of this horrendous behavior by supposedly reputable people, it is fair to say my patience has long past worn out. I am not paid to speak for Sarah Palin anymore, and I don’t feel I have to be the one to defend her against the dozens of bogus allegations that have been leveled. But at the same time, I am not going to let it be said in my obituary -- however soon that might be written (Seriously?) -- that I allowed unsavory, unethical political opponents of hers to shred a reputation I have built up over decades, winning numerous state, regional and national journalism awards in the process.
Believe whatever you want. But keep me out of your fantasy. Or there will be a response. (Yeah Mr. "Rhymes-with-harlot" I will say words at you if you don't stop mentioning me!)
Here is what I find interesting about McAllister's incredibly defensive response to this research paper. Essentially Professor Scharlott calls out the ENTIRE American media, yet only McAllister feels the need to throw a baby-ass tantrum.
Is that because he absorbed the Palin victimization complex while he was working for Bible Spice Barbie, or is there, despite his protests to the contrary, some OTHER reason?
Methinks he doth protest too much! Gryphon there IS another reason he is melting down. Actually the way he s responding should raise even more suspicions, that too and too even too as Paylin would say.
ReplyDeleteHe reinforces Prof. Scharlott's point about the media wanting to leave this story alone initially:
ReplyDeleteWhat does the associate professor think I should have done? Asked for permission to feel the governor’s stomach? . . . I was reporting on politics, not gynecology.
And he suggests that now he isn't sure Trig was birthed by Sarah:
What reason existed on April 13, 2008, to do anything of the sort?
I hope Prof. Scharlott's paper gets some mileage out of this. Maybe Mr. McAllister does too?
Sarah seems to have a talent for surrounding herself with nasty, childish people. They all act like they are stuck in jr. high, having to respond to perceived criticisms with name calling and making themselves the victim.
ReplyDeleteBill would be smarter if he had chosen to stay totally out of this. Better to keep quiet and let people think you are a fool than open your mouth and prove it.
When people die in Alaska, do they really put nasty things in their obituaries? Poor Bill..instead of being remembered for all of those misdeeds, will instead, forever by remembered for "I should slap you". Every time I read that, I have to laugh.
Apart from his infantile name calling, his wording is extremely careful. I think even he is wondering about the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd we still didn't get to find out who took the photographs!
ReplyDeleteHe's freaking, Gryphen! Absolute meltdown. Gee, could trouble be just around the bend for this guy?
ReplyDeleteWorking awfully hard to establish "plausible" deniability, ain't he?
Not very convincing. But his over-reaction speaks volumes.
Wow, for the small mention of him in the Scharlott paper his response is way over the top. Frankly, he is barely mentioned, and in passing, yet he feels compelled to spew this vitriol. My advice is that whenever you feel the need to write something with such emotion behind it, put it in a drawer for a few days and then see how you feel about it.
ReplyDeleteI think this is just how he rolls. I remember that he had a fit when PETA put up a game where visitors could pelt Palin with snowballs and he had a similar crybaby titmouse response that caused the whole issue to go viral. I sent an emai to him suggesting that if he had just ignored the whole thing, it would have quietly gone away. He fired back with all the irrational class of a rabid squirrel. You would have thought that I had used the New York Times front page to cast aspersions on his mother's good name.
ReplyDeleteOh, the over-reaction, the outrage, the guilt. He needn't have said a public word and he would have been just a mention in the piece. But just as his beloved Sarah does, he must get the bullhorn out and deny, deny, deny which only brings on more attention.
ReplyDeleteWhy is he SO defensive? Maybe looking back he now sees the truth, and feels duped? Anyone associated with Palin always seems to end up with their reputations in tatters, yet she goes on lying and making snide remarks about the President. I sent a copy of the professor's article to Chris Matthews, and asked if he ever looks back to the time (long ago) when he was a REAL reporter? I told him it was disgusting that he actually asks his panel of supposedly experts if Palin will run for office of president? Anyone with half a brain knows she is not capable. Why does a college professor have to be the one to do the job the media has been neglecting for all these years? No wonder the country is going down the tubes.
ReplyDeletethe ONLY reason he would be SO defensive is he KNEW. He KNEW and he helped with the conspiracy. He saw her swell up that day and go down the next day. He knew she wasn't big the previous days.
ReplyDeleteTherefore, he is either part of the conspiracy (I have no doubt) OR he is one blind dumbf**K that is too stupid to hold onto his job.
Bill, really, we know you didn't ask because you didn't CARE. You wanted a job with La Palin. You certainly weren't going to ask any difficult questions or make any inconvenient observations.
ReplyDeleteIt's always possible you didn't notice. People do tend to be sucked into La Palin's world and her reality becomes their reality.
What I don't get is how you think this hissy fit is going to recoup an cred you've lost. But maybe your goal is only to bring your name to the forefront. Got a book or a TV show idea you're pimping around? That would explain the sudden need for this kind of publicity, the kind that doesn't really reflect well on you, but manages to remind people you exist.
Oh, yeah, definitely something else going on here. McAlister told us himself in his last hissy fit: his job was a reward for keeping quiet.
ReplyDeleteAnd don't you find it interesting that he talks about posing for that picture but doesn't tell us who took it, or why? Personally, I think the photo of Sarah and the two men was taken by Gusty, while the photo of Gusty interviewing Sarah was taken by McAlister himself. And he knows the whole thing was a staged photo op with an empathy belly, and that's why he keeps going on and on. Methinks thou dost protest too much, Sir William.
Isn't Gusty from Dillingham? Any relation to The Toad?
He obviously has his doubts. He's a tool. Sarah used him. He's just now realizing it.
ReplyDeleteTrying to decide on who is the nastiest spokesperson for Sarah..
ReplyDeleteIs it Stapleton or RAM or McAllister?
This race may be a dead heat.
I thought Alaska was for Marlboro men types. Not these sissy ass, dough boy whiners. Palin seems to have hired a boat load of them. The reference to "I'm dying feel sorry for me" is in very poor taste. What a creep.
ReplyDeleteHere is what I find interesting about McAllister's incredibly defensive response to this research paper. Essentially Professor Scharlott calls out the ENTIRE American media, yet only McAllister feels the need to throw a baby-ass tantrum.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, this is all too true. The media (even the tabloids) have decided to give this story a pass. If Donald Trump issues an ignorant comment on President Obama's birth, it is picked up by every news outlet. Dr.Scharlott's point has been proven by this controversy, there is a conspiracy of silence. Is it fear? or is there an order from media CEOS to leave it alone? Why?
Ha. His response is about as well thought out as his decision to cover for Palin.
ReplyDeleteThese two pictures are so phony - Sarah has the same expression she had when she quit her job, like she is pulling the wool over everyone's eyes. Couple these with the picture of her getting up out of the chair on the April 8th video and you have a winner!
He does have another point. People not only attack her on everything, but they attack ANYONE who has anything pleasant to say about her, even people who know her or have actually met her.
ReplyDeleteI sincerely hope that if any of the commenters here meet her one on one, you have the decency to act mature and non judgmental.
WOW--No wonder she picked him--he is just like her. My goodness, there are some real assholes in this world. I cannot believe this man, who seems to believe he is about to die, would want to leave this behind to be remembered. There are SOOOOOO many other more distinguished ways to handle the situation. All he is doing is making it seem that he is hiding something. Here's a good theory to run with------Maybe he is part of the bigger scheme "take down scara" orchestrated by the republicants and getting paid to act like an asshole to get this story more attention?????? Let's see if The Chump wants to investigate that. I swear that Rupert Murdock is really a closeted Democrat and has been pulling the puppet strings (Glenda, Scara, Donald, Fake News, etc.) the last two years to take down the Right Wingers. He probably has his fingers in this too.
ReplyDeleteAnon @4.46
ReplyDeleteGood for you!!!!Sending Chris Matthews the letter. I am so fed up with these assholes that know as much as we do but continue the game. Spin, spin, spin. Thanks for sending the letter & taking the time. It feels a little like howling at the moon these days.
She and Todd owned a Polaris dealership, therefore she is an expert on small business. No evidence of that. No evidence of them worrying about paying employees or balancing the books without debt - as she often challenges the POTUS.
ReplyDeleteHere's a question, for such a middle-class family, how do they come to own so many properties and build a dream home on a lake without this sinful debt they dare other Americans not to incur?
She is the Mother of four children, many still school-age and she vies for jobs demanding of her time beyond the 9-5 circuit. Then she shifts the burden onto the government positions she holds - crying what, familyism? Sexism? Regionalism?
"I have unilaterally created a Chief Executive duty station out of my home because of my personal preferences - but the villagers need to get a North Slope job cause that's all my small world-view concept of economics offers?"
I have absolutely no imagination, ideas or solutions for off-the-grid industry in a State that is mostly made off-the-grid in an energy challenged yet oil producing State? But I can call the POTUS the $4 a gallon President while I was the $11 a gallon Governor?
I quit every job I lobby hard for because it turns out to be real work, can't I just sit in my Wal Mart pajama's eating Taco Bell Crunch Wrap Supremes and watching Reality Teevee so I can imagine myself on the small screen as a star?
I can acquire a special needs infant and claim expertise on the challenges of providing for and parenting such a high maintenance individual when I've no idea or body proof that I can handle it and handle it on my own since day one?
That's Sarah Palin all-over, she becomes an expert at the most loosely affiliated subject matter that trumps millions of working mothers and families that manage to provide for and protect their children, provide for and meet the needs of a differently-advantaged child, and keep the household and duties required for pay operational.
To think that Sarah Palin is exceptional for any reason other than she was a moderately attractive conservative woman holding some elected positions that required only marginal talent - and the one job that required more was too much for her, she quit it not even halfway through.
Tell me, is this not a woman that looks for any means necessary to boost her painfully thin resume, who miraculously 'accidentally' becomes pregnant with a special needs child and is irresponsible enough to withhold this information from her staff, legislature and constituents until the third trimester in a first term statewide office?
Why would she put herself on the speaking circuit so late into her high-risk pregnancy? Who would risk their access to their OB/GYN so close to term? It isn't so much that we should ask why she flew back half-way across the country with her water broke - what was she doing taking out-of-state gigs in her third trimester? And if she were pregnant (which none of of thinks she was) WHY would she endanger her high-risk fetus in such a spectacularly irresponsible manner just to birth an Alaskan Fish Picker?
As Sarah says herself, there are no coincidences.
5:13 said: "I sincerely hope that if any of the commenters here meet her one on one, you have the decency to act mature and non judgmental."
ReplyDeleteAnd I say: Are you kidding? You're asking people to "act mature and non judgemental" toward one of the most immature and JUDGEMENTAL people currently on the public stage?
Please. Sell stupid somewhere else, you delusional fool.
So is McAllister another attention whore who can't help himself or is he just an angry moron? He is challenging people to piss him off (which is extremely easy to do, apparently!), and promises that he will respond. Oh, I hope that more people piss him off! His responses are priceless!
ReplyDeleteOT - in case anyone would like more evidence of what's important to these schmucks in DC...
ReplyDeletehttp://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,2064039,00.html
5:13, anyone criticized (let's use the correct word, no need to be a drama queen like Bill) along with Palin has deserved it for one reason or another. Lying to enable Sarah is NOT a virtue.
ReplyDeleteI think men were so intimidated by anything to do with Sarah's body that they just averted their eyes.
ReplyDeleteAs a woman, if I were in the same room as her, I'd naturally want to talk about the joys and pains of pregnancy, but from what others said, she had none of it, turned really cold when broached. She was NOT with child.
She thought scarves would provide suitable cover? Is she that imaginative? Apparently so.
Then she "remembered" how far along she had to be and for lack of a better prop - had to stick a sofa pillow under her shirt for a highly visible interview. LOL.
You have to hand it to her, when Sarah lies, she goes big. Completely Over the Top. And it helped that she surrounded herself with people like Stapleton, McCallister, Bailey and Nicole Wallace:
“’I will never forget the first phone call I got from a real reporter, from a real newsroom, about the maternity of the infant,’ Nicolle Wallace said. ‘He started asking me about amniotic fluid, and whether or not it had leaked … I said, ‘Are you asking me to respond, on the record, to a charge that amniotic fluid came out of her [body]?’ He was so mortified, he hung up.’”
So yes, icky women things, newsmen and underlings of the Governor are going to be complicit, hapless or clueless when it came to a Governor pretending to be pregnant.
Cause who would ever imagine someone so ambitious despite their obvious failings? She had to play any card, even if it was one of her own making.
Trig. Poor Trig. Maybe Todd is the father, or maybe they are blood related in some way, I could see an ICWA adoption here - but I do feel for that family being bamboozled by the NPD woman of their household.
WakeUpAmerica @ 4:37 a.m.
ReplyDeleteLOL, bless your heart for trying to reign in such unprofessional behavior of a so-called celebrated journalist.
Always wondered why Sarah was poaching KTUU talent - she sure wanted to be a tiny, delicate, talented little Hollywood starlet.
Wow, he has got his panties in a wad; don't you just wonder why?
ReplyDeleteHe and Palin appear to be dumb and he even dumber.
"I remember that he had a fit when PETA put up a game where visitors could pelt Palin with snowballs and he had a similar crybaby titmouse response that caused the whole issue to go viral."
ReplyDeleteDid he throw around 19th century style insults then, too?! He seems to fancy himself quite the dashing gentleman for someone who dresses like a used car salesman. He writes like a pissy bitch (albeit with a dash of queeny drama).
It is a beautiful spring day, the birds and frogs are thanking Mother Nature for the gentle rain that just came down and it is glorious. I am thankful. I am also thankful that Gryphen has taken so much time to expose the uglier side of humanity and allowed the rest of us to ponder the reality of the human condition. To know that people like him and the professor are doing good things even though they seem ugly gives the rest of us hope. In the end, truth is the only way to serenity. Thanks again for all you do.
ReplyDeleteAnon @ 5:13 a.m.
ReplyDeleteNice try. Though I was loathe to be in the same room with her, I was raised to be polite.
I met her, and she was busy playing with and Tweeting on her Blackberry during the whole funeral. . .the funeral attended by heads of State for the one, Ted Stevens.
You think she deserves courtesy at such demonstrated disrespect? She's as awful and worse than we think she is.
If Mr. M. wants to clear his image and convince people of his integrity, he's not doing a good job by going at the author (Scharlott) of the paper. This guy is doing his job, for the sake of an entire country, to make certain there's no doubt in anyone's mind that Sarah Palin isn't a huckster.
ReplyDeleteIf SP would put herself forward before her own children for the sake of a campaign and winning, and be willing to lie and smugly call media lamestream because they're trying to get at the truth, why would McAllister object?
Isn't that what an ethical journalist would do? Whose side is he on? Sounds like he has much more to say, but is afraid to and is protecting his hide.
Sarah was not pregnant with Trig, she had her tubes tied much earlier.
ReplyDeleteShe lied, it was all a big political hoax to get her elected.
Super fail, the Palins are trash. Enough said. Trash!!!
Just some thoughts. McAllister has publicly reported that he has been treated for a serious cancer. He has announced that he is leaving his position in state govt and returning to the MSM in an AK news role.
ReplyDeleteAssume his insurance is precious to him. His time with Palin didn't go well and end well for him. His credibility is at stake and perhaps his life as well if he screws up his main currency or brand. If he is not a credible news reporter, he is unemployed and without insurance.
He sure should have thought before he reacted to the draft paper in such a childish and dramatic fashion. He would have been better advised to either issue a no comment or work diligently with the Professor to improve the reporting on and writing of the story.
His word of the moment is "seemingly". Parse he did. Yes he sure did.
"I was reporting on politics, not gynecology."
ReplyDeleteFor 2.5 years I've wondered how a sitting Governor could have expected to pull off Babygate. Now I'm wondering if being in the public eye as Governor was the reason she could pull it off.
If he is not a credible news reporter, he is unemployed and without insurance.
ReplyDeleteoh well....
"He would have been better advised to either issue a no comment" - 5:49
ReplyDeleteDid anyone even request comment from him in any way, shape or form?
Gryphen: I had read this yesterday; some of his new reply, and I have not read all comments here today, but what strikes me after re-reading it is that he says "he agreed to pose in one of the pictures ...": this suggests that in fact the photo op was staged .. in other words, if an interview just happens to take place in the hallway of some offices where a meeting took place, Palin being the key person, McCallister being another player - why would he have to "agree" to be in a picture? The pictures would be more candid - am I making sense?
ReplyDeletei don't think he actually read the whole piece. his second tirade, i believe, he was criticizing structure and blahblahblah. the piece is written like an academic paper. the prof. stated in his paper, in plain english, that he was not out to prove either way if little trig was birthed by palin, just questioning why contradictory facts were not investigated. his(mcallister) very public meltdown over thoughtful questions versus accusations, leads me to believe that there might be something bigger that he's feeling guilty about and reacting to his conscience vs. reality.
ReplyDeleteon a side note, i'm really amused by his(mcal's) "You hear that, Elizabeth? I'm coming to join ya, honey!" statements. i'm a fan of redd foxx as well
I think there must be something biological about men, squeamishness, and other men's pregnant women. No man I know wants to talk about pregnancy (much less LOOK at a pregnant woman) unless it's his own, and even then, not so much. McAllister is angry because he knows he was duped. I always imagined the Gusty photos happened like this: "Hey, you guys, listen. Those pesky rumors about poor little Trig just won't go away. My darn abs were just too darn tight. All I need is just one photo of me looking really pregnant. Come on, it'll be fun! It's not like it's a crime or anything. And yah know, us Alaskans are so much smarter (rogu-ier!) than other Americans, that this'll be a piece of cake. [wink, wink] Are yah in?!!"
ReplyDeleteI feel strongly that most men would not pay any attention to the apparent stage or progression of a woman's pregnancy. Unless it was their own child. I don't think they would disregard red flags. They simply would never see any red flags because they would keep their eyes and thoughts averted from something that generally is of absolutely no concern to anyone except the parents.
ReplyDeleteSo like the other former male employee, it does not surprise me that these guys didn't pay attention to the progression of a pregnancy. It's just not on their radar.
"seemingly very pregnant"
ReplyDeleteYes. She did "seem" pregnant.
""I was reporting on politics, not gynecology. (Okay that is a pretty good line.)""
ReplyDeleteYup - it even shows how much more ignorant he is because the subject would be obstetrics, not gynecology.
No wonder $Palin thinks journalists are lamestream.
It's pretty clear why the two seemingly-similar stories were treated completely different: one involved a black man, and the other a white woman with a retard baby.
ReplyDeleteDaisydem: yes, good point.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of professional staff would a professional politician like $arah hire? Oh yeah, like we need to be reminded.
ReplyDelete@5:13- I'd be non judgemental, I'd maybe have some sympathy, I'd tell the WAAAHmbulance is on the way.
Silly ass dumbfuck. Attorneys and judges know what gets people in trouble and exposes what they've done. It's NEVER no comment. The ones whose loose lips sink ships are either really stupid or think they are smarter than anyone else.
Which one is it with Mr. Slappy and the squarepillow miracle pregnancy? Wait wait it wasn't about him anyway, that's a clue to the answer.
What shred of professionalism McAllister had left, he has shredded with these amateurish, bizarre rants. Definitely, something smells!
ReplyDeleteales at 6:40, I like the scenario you put forth!
ReplyDeleteSalon has a piece on this.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.salon.com/news/politics/war_room/2011/04/12/scharlott_palin_trig
It occurred to me today that what Scharlott describes is a modern day tale of the The Emperor's New Clothes.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, several bloggers were on to this before Scharlott. The bloggers were the child. Scharlott has described the entire scene/story. In this version Scharlott notices that the child yelling "the emperor is naked" isn't heard by the media and therefore not the masses, and therefore they don't see.
Now at Salon.
ReplyDeleteDrip Drip Drip.
Doesn't matter what Justin Elliot says. Paper and many links are posted.
"I am not going to let it be said in my obituary -- however soon that might be written -- that I allowed unsavory, unethical political opponents of hers to shred a reputation I have built up over decades, winning numerous state, regional and national journalism awards in the process."
ReplyDeleteLike covering Palin at the same he was applying for a job with her? Ya mean that kind of ethical?
Like covering up- with Lyin' Sharon Leighow and Linda Perez- Palin's illegal family travel, living at home and collecting lots of per diem dough? Ya mean that reputation?
Like helping the Palin tribe hound Walt Monegan out of office for not firing Palin's broyher in law- ya mean that kind of unsavoriness?
Bill McAllister: Sick and {athetic- just like his ex-boss.
(and why exactly did he get shunted off to the Department of Law?)
The media will not cover this story because it shows how bad they are at doing their jobs. The media will just let this sleeping dog lie! The MSM is lame.
ReplyDeleteAnon@ 5:13 AM
ReplyDeleteIf Palin knocked on my front door, and I saw her standing there, I wouldn't bother opening the door. I have no desire to see her anywhere, any time, for any reason. I avoid liars like I would avoid the bubonic plague. There is no way that I'd be willing to allow her "personality" to persuade me that there isn't a whole lot of ugliness behind her public facade. In the New Testament Jesus states that what is in a person's heart comes out of his/her mouth, so one doesn't have to guess what lurks in Palin's heart.
McAllister is freaking out. He is going through the classic "denial" and "anger" stages.
ReplyDeleteI see his wording allows him to excuse himself from her scam. On some level, he knows she is a very practiced liar.
After Scara lands in prison, I hope a "Recovery" group can form in Alaska for all the people she used and abused.
Frank Bailey was the first to publicly recognize she had manipulated him. I'm sure many others will reach the same conclusion.
The scarf-less reveal on April 13 was probably Sarah's doing alone. She has her peeps contact KTUU and get them slathering over an exclusive interview, only them, no other station. She has them set up at an hour and location that will let them be undisturbed. She preps the empathy belly, makes sure she has a coat that bulks her up, and drops her scarf in her purse. All goes as planned--interview, photos, smiles. Gusty's starstruck and hasn't seen SP's belly up close before, so the size is no surprise to her. McAllister? Not a clue. I believe he fielded questions about the hoax rumor many times before that day, but on that day, like all the others, he never allowed himself to observe and wonder. I don't know how good a reporter he really is, but when it came to flakking for Sarah, he was committed to believing in her, to the point of suspending all skepticism. I think he was completely blind to the state of her belly. His reactions to the Scharlott work seem to be coming from pain--maybe both psychological and physical. Maybe the veil is falling away and he's bitter that he was duped and that he denied his reporter's instincts. He probably deeply regrets his time with Palin. Also could be medicated or too much alcohol or not sleeping. Anyway, his judgment is way off now, as it was then. I feel sorry for the guy. Melly
ReplyDeleteConsidering the tiny tiny reference that is made of McAllister in the paper, his reaction is completely over the top. Clearly he knows much more than he wants to admit and fears it will all come out and reflect badly on him.
ReplyDeleteSeems to me that possible actions in Aril 2008 aren't the problem, but actions AFTER $carah's selection by McCain are.
ReplyDeleteGo over to Salon, sign up and comment on the article!
ReplyDeleteHis defensive response gives him away, big time. I wouldn't be surprised if he were the "erik" who put the photos out there mysteriously on the day she was tapped to be the Veep nominee. Covering for the quitter? You betcha!
ReplyDeleteI printed the Alaska Dispatch McAllister oped just after 3:00 pm AKST on April 10.
ReplyDeleteJust now I printed it to see what changed. I don't see anything different except that the AK Dispatch comment that McAllister will update his commentary is now gone.
So what changed and when? Did it change before I printed on April 10?
This might be fun tonight. Maybe the ADN can update their Where's D.Z. Bill? story.

It's obstetrics NOT gynecology!
ReplyDeleteYa'll Alaskans could use a basic sex education class.
Bill McAllister’s lame ass swipe at Scharlott should be embarrassing to any adult. He comes off like a snotty 5th grader.
ReplyDeleteWouldn’t a wittier approach be to use anagrams and surmise what these reflect about McAllister’s character? Say, like the following anagrams of Bill McAllister:
Ball Crime Still - he’s a gonad pirate
Ball Mice Trills - he’s kinky
Ball Slicer Milt - he’s mean and kinky
Bill Miller Scat - he’s a pile of shit
Bra Mill Cellist - again with the kinky
Cab Smell I Trill - he’s weird
Lamb Lice Trills - he’s really weird
Lamb Slice Trill - he’s fucking mean and weird
Mescal Lib Trill - he’s trippin’
Racism Bill Tell - he’s a racist
Ram Cellist Bill - again, kinky with a cellist
Rectal Slim Bill - he’s a nasty, nasty boy
My assessment is just as meaningless as his, but at least it’s more imaginative and it’s humor at his expense.
McAllister you are nothing but a dumbass punk.
Sure sounds like he has stuff to hide. Best defense is a good offense and all that. Nobody is attacking his whole record. All this is about that little inference in Professor Sharlott's paper that his behavior as a reporter and possibly his inside knowledge possiblty got him his job in the governor's office. The coincidence is a totally fair thing to point out and why does he equate this with impugning his entire career. I've had cancer and I didn't go around throwing it in people's faces like he does. sheesh.
ReplyDeleteI sincerely hope that if any of the commenters here meet her one on one, you have the decency to act mature and non judgmental.
ReplyDeleteI met her...she's even stupider in person. She thinks NH is the great northWEST. She and Bachmann are two of a kind, except Bachmann isn't stupid enough to fake a pregnancy.
BM is just in touch with his feminine side.....at about the 7th grade bully girl level.
ReplyDeleteSo he thinks just because he has been sick that it will give him a pass?
ReplyDeleteHe is playing the victim just as he has learned from Sarah, the lying not-pregnant queen.
One other thing about the two photos that may already have been mentioned.
ReplyDeleteSarah has the same scrawny neck and razor edged jaw line in both photos.
Mother and fetus always try to pork up in the last six weeks or so,and for good reason.
The fetus doesn't need stored energy until shortly before birth, it has free room and board, and utilities. But it will after birth. Virtually all the fetus weight gain is in the final weeks of pregnancy.
The mother also needs to store up a bunch of energy during the preganacy becasue in the first 8 or so months, if she breast feeds, she will contribute about 80K calories to the child.
So Sarah like all women late in the pregnancy should look pudgy everywhere. It would be the expected, genetically programed, and healthy thing to have happen.
But it didn't
I agree with 7:40--the media is complicit at this point to such an incredible extent. It makes me so mad. Everybody looking after number one and no one looking after their fellow man or this country we supposedly love. Where is courage, integrity. ICK.
ReplyDeleteMcAllister's plea of his dying seems wrong.
ReplyDeleteI have worked in a large oncology clinic and like most, still not yet dead, middle aged people have known a goodly number of family, friends, coworkers, etc, who have had cancer and some of have died or are truly now dying of cancer.
They may have had moments of rage and self pity early on, but there is a single characteristic of them all, they are very outwardly calm about their fate.
They know that the numbering of their days is upon them, whether its in years or weeks, and they have learned to accept it.
Also too, they have better things to do with their remain days than to tilt with windmills or get into a petty bitching match.
Anonymous @ 5:13, If I were to ever have the displeasure of being in the same room as Palin, I'd treat her with the same disrespectful manner in which she treated a teacher who was using her right to free speech. You might remember her? The one Palin and her daughter mocked, Bristol called her an ass and yet neither parent said a thing about it nor asked her to apologize. In my view, that means they think it's OK for their children to speak to adults who disagree with them in any manner they choose. Palin treats our President with disrespect despite the fact that he has ignored her rantings and lunacy. Palin treats the FLOTUS with disrespect whenever she finds something to complain about despite the fact that it is blatant hypocrisy on her part.
ReplyDeleteI also recall a reporter being fired from KTUU, not certain of the call letters, for allegedly treated an "elected official", meaning Palin, with the respect due them. Do you not see the hypocrisy? Palin can say whatever she wants about our President who as far as I know has never said anything remotely nasty about her and yet she has someone fired because they didn't kiss her ass!
I hope everyone appreciates the work McAllister has done for the cause. It's a good thing he isn't on Palin's payroll anymore. If he was they would have told him to sit down and shut up. Unless I've missed something RAM's silence is getting to be screechingly deafening.
