Wow! It looks like she had her chin done, and her nose and maybe her teeth too? This is a very sad commentary on both Bristol's lack of self esteem and also our society as a whole. I always thought Bristol was, physically, a beautiful girl. I think she looked MUCH better BEFORE her surgeries. Having said that, the results could be worse. STOP NOW BRISTOL! ReplyDeleteIt is pertinent when a person does not exercise discipline over their body (diet and exercise) and choses numerous plastic surgery procedures especially at a young age when already attractive.
Maybe she has aspirations as an actress so chose to ratchet up her looks electing for facial reconstruction of oval adding chin to lengthen face, cheek implants, lipo, lip augmentation.
Hmmmm, maybe Bristol is getting ready for the pageant circuit just like her momma griz did so that she can earn her way through college.

ReplyDeleteShe started her life feeling the pressure to look like a starlet and is on that treadmill of always having to "look" right. Once they start, it becomes an obsession, and there's no end to finessing their features every year.

Seeing this, I think her psyche must have been very fragile after being thrust upon the national stage as a pregnant teen, and then on Dancing, where she was clearly uncomfortable, especially at first. It also seems obvious that she apparently had little guidance about self-worth growing up, to want to undergo so much cosmetic surgery at such a young age.

Looks like she is getting botox in the forehead, had her hair line raised to make her forehead bigger, certainly a new chin, and something with her cheeks have been done. Her teeth look different too. Yes, she should hit the gym, but that will be next--Lipo to such it all away instead of good old fashion work. What a mess. If this does not scream mental illness, I don't know what does. Yes, Bristol, you are still ugly on the inside, and your outside looks weird. Scara, look what you have done to your kid. Bristol is now a celeb and celebs do anything to maintain themselves. Why do you think all of them yoyo so greatly? Its the instability that adds, subtracts weight. Bristol was literally working in an office thru last july. Then she started working for to pre for dwts. Then with added stress and a routine change, her weight started piling on again.
Honestly, if one has the money, there's nothing wrong with the easy route. Esp for someone who had had teenage weight issues as well.
My rthoughts are that because bristol has a mother known for sex appeal, she grew up feeling inadeqate. That's pretty common in the teenage world.

And the bottom line is: avoid Bristol's surgeon like the plague! Why oh why would she want to resemble her venomous mother who is NOT aging well and, aside from her lovely (though cross) eyes, is nothing to write home about. Bristol's primary goals in life should be: get an education, think hard before you have more children and stay as far out of Sarah's orbit as possible. If she ever enrolls in ASU, I will be shocked. Plastic surgery does not always "age" well and I imagine that having it done so early in life and the fact that it is already hideous, that this is definitely not going to get better.

ReplyDeleteI don't want to criticize her because I think it's tragic. To suggest Bristol dramatically (and surgically) changed her face because of public scrutiny is ridiculous. She has issues with her mother. That's why she got pregnant probably twice. Her mom was a very image-concerned politician, known for her Christian values (hah), and with big eyes that stretched beyond Alaska and Bristol basically gives her the finger by dating Levi and getting pregnant. Classic passive aggression for a girl who didn't get what she needed from her mother.

ReplyDeleteThe first thing I noticed was the dress or skirt/blouse thing. For her figure, it was much too short and tight.
ReplyDeleteThe vivid short-sleeve blouse brings attention to large upper arms and bosom. Better to wear a longer-sleeved, V-neck top that doesn't cut your off just under the bosom with a long necklace to lengthen the neck and create the illusion of height.
That would accentuate the curves without making them overpowering.
With large thighs and shorter legs, Bristol needs a slightly longer hemline and a slightly fuller skirt (perhaps an A-line). With matching tights and shoes, her legs would appear longer and more graceful.
I am assuming a proper evening V-neck would be too immodest for such a saintly girl, right?
Sigh.
I think Bristol, if she learned (uh-oh, the forbidden word) basic design principles and felt better about herself, would be very attractive. She has potential, always has had, but I think mommy-dearest might not have been willing to encourage her to develop good taste and dress well because such daughters tend to make mothers look their age.
Honestly, Sarah and Bristol both need to pay attention to the guidelines the GOP stylists gave them during the '08 campaign.
I hope Bristol's memoir is not as mean-spirited as some of FB writings or DWTS comments because, really, that's one of the main reasons people are picking on her appearance. There's nothing much else there.
If Bristol would invest in her inner beauty by getting an education and therapy, she'd blossom and show up her mother once and for all.

5:11 - why would you assume all the comments about Bristol are by liberals. There are conservatives with taste and who might be trying to help by telling Bristol to stop with the plastic surgery, bad clothes and superficial socializing.
ReplyDeleteConservatives should care that she isn't getting an education, learning work skills (reading dull speeches someone else wrote is not a work skill - if so, she's doing that badly), and creating a stable family life for her son.
Conservatives should care that the son is without a stable father figure and his mother is caught-up in a celebrity lifestyle.
Don't assume liberals are simply attacking her. Most of the comments here are trying to wake Bristol up to her potential, trying to tell her she is good enough and doesn't have to transform herself into something she isn't (though a better vocabulary and kinder personality would help).
She looks old and plastic in the new pics with her new face. My gosh, how much hate and self loathing is inside of this girl for her to do that to herself.

I guess maybe having two, three babies by the time you're twenty, though, might take a toll on one's body. Good Thing she got all that money for getting pregnant so she could get her double chin taken care of. Does she have any money leftover for lipo on her arms and tummy?
Is she going to GO TO COLLEGE so that she can expand her mind and learn about her world and so that she can be qualified to run for public office someday?? Or is she just going to "have polite conversations" with political strategists on world events and think that's good enough.

Bristol has literally done hundreds of media interviews, PSA commercial for Candies, paid tabloid photo spreads, paid speeches, and appeared on reality TV on DWTS, her mothers own show, and Secret Life on ABC family.

OK Bristol, you're not under anyone's control. All the money you got for getting pregnant was all justly earned, and had nothing to do with having a famous mother. You had one child, Tripp, and were never pregnant otherwise. You practised like mad for your DWTSs routines and it showed: you danced really really exceptionally well! You are a great public speaker. You were a wonderful office manager, super efficient, and able to walk and chew gum at the same time.

Bristol should never have had plastic surgery. She didn't need it and she's far too young to think that she needed it. If she talked to her mother beforehand, her mother should have hugged her and said, "you're a pretty girl, give yourself a chance," and discouraged her from concentrating on the superficial without not taking care of what really matters. But, then, her mother is Sarah Palin. How sad it all is.

Every time I see Bristol I think of her mother barging in on her interview with Greta. I see sarah and her bots trying to convince the world Bristol is a role model. I see them peddling her book here. And I like to think I see a decent human being trying to survive in an atmosphere of deception.

[I'm actually surprised someone her age with her money doesn't try to lose the weight, especially when they are in the public eye, she certainly can afford the right food and a trainer..I think she has a self esteem problem and facial surgery will not change that. Maybe having a slim face is all that matters..she needs a full length mirror and the dress has the cheap Walmart look. Will dieting and fitness takes work and we know thats a no-no in the Palin family.
It hurts me to know that Bristol is probably reading these comments. Bristol, I have had plastic surgery, more than once. Some great results, some not so great. I had bags removed from under my eyes-turned out great. I had my nose done-eh, not so great. I've had my teeth done-look okay I guess but I actually liked my old ones but they were ground down to stumps from grinding my teeth. And last but not least, I had a tummy tuck: THE BEST THING I EVER DID (also the most hideously painful). It took me a long, long, time to stop staring at my face (my nose) and get used to the "new me". Finally, the new nose became incorporated with the "old" inside me! I learned a very very very valuable lesson from having these things done. THE ENEMY OF GOOD IS PERFECT! THE ENEMY OF GOOD, IS PERFECT. STOP WHILE YOU ARE AHEAD. Our concern trolls are constantly castigating us for observing and remarking. Not only do they insist on what and what is not appropriate to say or discuss, they imply that is wrong for us to observe and analyze the world around us. In their world what is outwardly and superficial is sufficient, do not scratch the surface, do not seek understanding and meaning, and absolutely do not challenge. It's easy to see how easily these people are bamboozled and manipulated, controlled. And their tendency to practice willfull ignorance by refusing to expand their understanding and challenge their assumptions.
ReplyDeleteBristol looks attractive in a unnatural, "Hollywood approved" kind of way. Clearly she has had plastic surgery, and like some here, I think the results have been less than successful. It is not unreasonable to attempt to understand why she would choose to do this to herself. Which means you have to scratch the surface. She has self-esteem issues, I guaran-damn-tee it, nobody alters their appearance this drastically (at least I don't see these changes as subtle) without some serious issues compelling them to do so. The physical condition of her body sends a message...she is not practicing good maintenance, which suggests to me that she looks for solutions that are both expedient and outside of herself.
She looks for self definition outwardly, rather than from within. A broken model for self actualization.
Personally, after observing her Mother, I'ld venture a guess that every family member has a plate full of personal issues...if they deal with them their lives can and may be better. If not, I would expect the drama to not only be persistent, but constantly escalating.
Bristol is not an individual that I admire, nor do I feel she enriches our lives, or bring anything extraordinary to the public square. But to each his own....conservatives you can love her up all you want...but do not tell me I have to, or that there is something off in my thinking because I am attempting to understand her better, which requires scratching her now plasticized surface.
Frankly, I don't think she deserves to be in the same room as our President, a gracious and generous man. Bristol is tainted, IMO, by the despicable being that is her Mother.
Oh wow, this is very sad. Whatever she did, it caused her to have a somewhat maniacal and crazed look in the eye. Who is mentoring this girl? I have nothing against plastic surgery. But common sense would say save it for middle age. Cosmetic surgery needs maintenance. Thirty years from now if she had no maintenance the chin implant would migrate, things would become asymmetrical... She is already looking like a caricature of her former self. She will one day look at her pre pictures and regret what she's done.

What a contrast to Gryphen's daughter, who clearly has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and the brains and determination to pursue a creative career. Guess she had better role models.

ReplyDeleteLots of us did dumb things in our twenties. We just didn't advertise all of our mistakes in the media. We didn't use our mistakes to make money off of stupid people. As a teenager I wanted to go to Wellesley, but my father didn't believe in putting money away for his kids' higher education, and while my grades might have been barely good enough to get in, no way were they good enough for a tuition scholarship to a top college. Bristol can afford to go to college. She doesn't seem interested in higher education. Maybe somebody can tell her that she could actually learn to write her own books if she got a good education.

Her relevance as a 'celebrity' is rather minor, it'll be even less so in the future. Then where will she be besides bitter, nowhere, broke & uneducated?

To me she had work done that made her look more like her mother. Consciously, or unconsciously, I don't know.
ReplyDeleteIt's very sad, because as much as I do not like this young woman's personality, she was always very pretty. Truly.
What would drive someone young and pretty to these kinds of unnecessary - and ultimately damaging - procedures? Did her mother suggest them? Her mother had gotten some of them herself, no? The chin and cheek implants, for example?
These kids have absolutely no genuine self-esteem. It's sick, and tragic, as so many have already noted.
She'll never regain her natural looks again. You can't go back once you start all this Bride of Frankenstein stuff.
I guess older women on TV have a harder time resisting this pressure, but a young woman like Bristol? It makes no sense, unless she is suffering a body dismorphic disorder or something like that. That wouldn't be surprising, as these kids have been traumatized on many levels, imo.
Great points about Bristol not using her celebrity spokesperson money for a college education.

Bristle has not earned herself enough that she has a lifetime bank account yet she's plowing through it on surgeries, flights everywhere, the house -- won'd be long before a check bounces!!!
Someone had eye work done and the results are very poor - they are now lopsided and unevenly sized. Look at them - one tilted, other not, one opens wider, other does not, one eyebrow arches more than the other.

Hubristol doesn't need to spend any money on higher edgeucation. There's no way she'd even chance becoming one of those leets. Much better investment to stretch her face up and down. And if people don't like it, she can easily communicate her distain to them with her fingers.

I thought Bristol was a beauty with sweet good looks. Now she has an OK looking face, but not the beauty she was. Sort of reminds me of the bride of Wildenstein. Same chin and weird eyes. I am a mom. Bristol, if you read this. Get it reversed quickly. You were beautiful, now . . . you just look lumpy and unhealthy.

She is trying to erase all traces of the girl whose self esteem is SO low, she'll bed any man who looks her way. She's trying to erase that girl who lives a life of lies.

Well it appears that no one is supposed to remark about the fact that Bristol doesn't look anything like Bristol anymore. The Palins/Heaths/trolls just want one who doesn't even recognize Bristol anymore just to start talking to her and not mentioning the fact that she looks like someone else now. They apparently want you to gush and say things like beautiful, smart, educated, intelligent, lover of all dems & repubs, lover of gays, and pretend that you are talking about Bristol.
