Courtesy of the Candies Foundation:
For ten years, The Candie's Foundation has been working to prevent teen pregnancy by producing and funding celebrity-driven print, television, radio and online public service announcements. Ms. Palin was compensated for her work with the foundation, which included appearing in video and print PSAs, two town hall meetings, and numerous media interviews.
The message of the foundation about teen pregnancy prevention has generated more than ONE BILLION media impressions – tremendous reach for any teen pregnancy prevention campaign. We know that Ms. Palin's work has had a positive effect on teens. In a recent independent national survey of 1,000 teens that compared a Bristol Palin PSA with those of nother national teen pregnancy organization that use non-famous teens, more than twice as many teens (57% vs. 27%) said Bristol's PSA "got my attention", three times as many (41% vs. 11%) said it was "powerful", and more than twice as many (38% vs. 16%) said it was "memorable".
Bristol Palin is one of dozens of celebrities who has worked with the foundation. She has been a courageous and powerful partner to the foundation as we attempt to discourage teen pregnancy.
Seriously? Look just because some teens said Bristol's ad "got my attention," or was "powerful," or even "memorable," does NOT mean it had any effect on reducing teen pregnancy.
As a matter of fact, as I reported in December, teen pregnancy is on the rise as young women, under the influence of celebrity teen moms like Bristol, now see getting pregnant as the fast track to fame and fortune. A fantasy that learning Bristol made a quarter of a million dollars in 2009, cannot help but reaffirm.
The reason that Candies, and their tragically unconvincing spokesperson, are under fire by rational people is because their illogical, bumbling approach to this problem has actually made it even worse.
And the fact that. after paying Bristol such an obscene amount of money, they then donated a piddly $35,000 to programs that truly work to curtail teen pregnancy, is all you need to know about the seriousness of the Candies foundation. As well as their commitment to educating teenagers on how to avoid making a choice that will dramatically disrupt their lives, and lead to fewer opportunities, NOT better opportunities.
Update: A reader over at Andrew Sullivan's new home has an interesting observation:
The important thing to note is that it only takes a little research (by reading the Candie's Foundation Form 990 tax filing) that among all the many celebrity spokespersons for Candie's Foundation, Bristol is the only one that received compensation. The filing lists payments to non-employee contractors that relate to programs as being $262,500 total, which is precisely equal to the amount given to Bristol Palin.
That means two things: (i) Bristol is the only "celebrity" who insisted on compensation (and a huge amount at that); and (ii) The Situation, who did that god-awful PSA with her, did not seek compensation. I'm not sure which of these facts is more surprising, but taken together, they represent a major indictment of Palin.
Now you know why the bots are fighting so hard to discredit this story. Both Candies and Bristol look like lying opportunistic hypocrites, who are faking compassion and a desire to do the right thing, while simply lining their own pockets.
Sarah certainly taught her daughter well.
Update 2: The AP has some more information that doesn't exactly do Bristol any favors:
In her 2009 debut with The Candies Foundation, the unwed mother and daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was paid $262,500 for 15 to 20 days of work, and another $70,000 for a less amount of work last year.
Palin is no longer on the payroll, but she remains a friend of the organization, (Foundation founder Neil) Cole said.
You all might need to help me here, but I am not aware of Bristol doing a whole hell of a lot for Candies in 2010. In fact the only thing I can think of is this one PSA:
Is it possible she received $70,000 for THAT?
The fact is that the Candies Foundation was simply the way that Candies got everybody off their back for their disgusting ads aimed at teens. And it hasn't really worked, obviously, so maybe they should just stop. Whatever happened to NICE commercials for teen perfume. Remember Love products? Why do we need sex to sell products? I go out of my way NOT to buy products that sell primarily through sexy ads. I consider them offensive (I am most certainly NOT a prude), irrelevant, and condescending. How about selling your product on its own merits? And please, just give UP the crappy teen preggers gig.
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of how the Palins can use nonprofit, charitable groups (not that the Candies Foundation is anything but a front to promote their other products), charge exhorbitant fees, and then turn around and use those speeches as examples of their own charitable work. If you are getting paid anything above expenses, ladies, it is not charity, nor is it a sign that you support the work of these groups. mama Grifter has just announced a speech in May in Birmingham for a group that supports families with special kids. The tables are going for $10,000, so you know Sarah is charging her usual $100,000, plus expenses. They have to sell 10 tables just to pay for Sarah's awesome presence. The lesson I learn is: if you have name recognition, it does not matter what you say or how you live....people will pay you. Sad.
ReplyDeleteThis is sort of like the fairy tale about the goose that laid the golden eggs..
ReplyDeleteTeenage slut births golden babies..
Please tell me she isn't chewing gum in that photo? Even if she took some of that loot and went to the finest finishing school around, she'd still look out of place anywhere but Wasilla. snarl, snark, hisssssssssssssss
ReplyDeleteI am outraged that they spent more money on palin then on programs.
ReplyDeleteThat is not a scientific study, it is name recognition.
It did not ask," did you abstain from sex because of Bristol's add, OR, did you practice safe sex?"
On to better news. Check this out.
www.politicususa.com/en/historic-sarah-palin-hate
It appears to have been done before the Enquirer story.
I wonder if she will get some sympathy votes?
Remember Gryhen: Candies Foundation holds ONE town hall event per year that is not televised as they save it to post on their site 'months' later - big whoop. They appear on the morning shows to talk about the event, but no one really has any way to connect to the event. Therefore, the GMA & Today interviews accomplish what - nada. The only info from the event as it is ongoing with a '3 person celeb panel' are tweets - 24 useless tweets were put out the first year Bristol was annointed as their head idiot when she couldn't compose a sentence (like mother, like daughter). In fact many times when asked a question, she answered yes or no - an interviewer's nightmare. She would not discuss her 'babydaddy relationship', which is all part and parcel of the issue.
ReplyDeleteThey paid Bristol $262,500
Advertising (including the Situation vid) $165,000
GRANTS $35,000
So I ask - what exactly is Candies doing for this issue? IMO - FUCKING NOTHING but elevating the profile of a slut, lining her $$$ pockets & probably allowed 'Candies' a path for tax benefits.
Has Candies received any 'taxpayer money' under the abstinence fund program??
The FB page of Candies has minimal following. Their twitter page puts out minimal messages, mostly to watch TV shows. That's really being 'active' for the issue - watch the Preg Teen shows.
Time for Candies to lose their non-profit if they are as they are truly doing NOTHING a Gryphen said - teen preg is rising. Candies is in it to sell their slutwear.
Candies wants to sell shoes. End of story!
ReplyDeleteandrewsullivan.thedailybeast.com/2011/04/bristols-celebrity-money-ctd.html
ReplyDeleteApparently, Bristol is the only one of Candies' stars to receive compensation.
Read the above article.
Just amazing that the Foundation gave less than what they paid the little slut. No wonder they are out pounding their chest with justification. Look what sane people did to get rid of Glenda Beck. I say we all send a nice little note to Candies telling them how we feel about their poor decisions, maybe they will throw brisstal under the bus with enough pressure.
ReplyDeletefirst off, that photo is baaaddd.
ReplyDeletenext, I wonder how many teens might have been better served by Candies giving Bristol's compensation to a group like Planned Parenthood, which Rah-rah Palin disses all the time.
thirdly, $262,000.00!!! wow. just wow.
finally, i went looking for and found the Situation PSA with "BPalin". another disgusted wow.....
I tried a few different times to put this post up on my FB Page.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the bots' have complained too much about it.
I was unable to post it. FB had a box pop up saying it had "abusive content".
Why don't they ever do that with the anti-Obama posts? I've been seeing those AND nasty Fan Pages all over FB!!
At least I got the same information up on FB through a similar post from Care2Action.
The bots' are getting much worse!!
On Joe McGinniss' twitter page, I found a link to an interesting article Joe wrote in 2009 that I had not seen before about Palin and her screwing up AGIA.

Even Bristol's chin looks preggers.
ReplyDeleteThat is a brilliant costume Bristol is wearing. She looks exactly like a bowling pin.
ReplyDeleteIf Candies want to compenate Bristol for her work do what the boys in town do for her favors, buy Bristol a Big Mac and a bag of fries and she'll be happy to give you anything you want.
ReplyDeleteIt's been proven and seen many times over, the lower the celeb, the worse they are to deal with. Producers, etc. cringe when having to deal with these lowlifers. They truly believe they are the 'entitled' ones - demanding things be available when they appear, the fees for charity work, etc.
ReplyDeleteThis fits the Palin Whitetrashers to a tee.
Look again at the photo. Look at the expression on Bristol's face.
ReplyDeleteThat girl is full on retarded.
"Ms. Palin was compensated for her work with the foundation?" - Candies
ReplyDeleteYou got to be kidding me. The only time Bristol ever worked or put up a sweat resulted in a pregnancy!
mary b, I posted this on my fb page no problem. I posted it as a link. Try again.
ReplyDeleteGryphen, just how early do you get up? I posted a comment here at just after 6am my time, and I'm a time zone ahead of you. You have already moderated comments and provided an update that came from the comments. Do you ever sleep? Just wondering, from one early bird to another.
ReplyDeleteCandies could save money by giving away packages of condoms with every purchase than paying this hypocritical idiot that much money.
ReplyDeleteAnd she received $70K in 2010, also, bumping up what compensation we know about.
Candies has always sold cheap looking clothes, too, including those see-through, backless plastic shoes you used to see some years ago all over Miami Beach on bleached blonde, heavily tanned women who didn't know how to dress, either. Haha, with plastic fish in the heels, etc.
is she pregnant?
ReplyDeleteTo add to Anon 4:58 post, Candies Foundation Town Hall info is only posted on their website usually one, maybe two days before the event as to when and where.
ReplyDeleteTherefore - the info for 'teens' to attend gets out to the public how. Sounds more like Candies arranges and picks the audience to make it look legit as it is not advertised to public.
Okay, one last comment. I was saving that ugly pic of Bristle for my collection of ugly Palin pics, and I noticed that the pic caption was Bristol Palin fat-face. lol. Thanks for yet another laugh. And another laugh for the commenter who said even Bristle's chin looks preggers. Good morning laugh.
ReplyDeleteBristol made $262,000 to talk about the one thing she enjoys doing more than eating cheese cakes?
ReplyDeleteIt makes Candies looks like a madam and Bristol is their high priced call girl.
Good lord, where to start with that photo! White trash, skanky, ignorant and slutty. Oh, and proud of it.
ReplyDeleteBrisket, girl, dang. Get some help, or do yourself a favor and stay home. Photos like this will be around forever.
True Blue Girl
She got paid for being a knocked up, unwed teen. Period. She made money off of her "status" as a teen mom. Telling other teens to NOT "do as I did" isn't very convincing when she makes a quarter mil for spreading her legs while telling others NOT to do it!
ReplyDeleteWillow was overheard saying that Bristol made $262,000 for getting pregnant?
ReplyDelete"I'm not even as fat as my sister Bristol, I should be able to make more than $262,000 if I start screwing now."
WOW! What a difference a name makes...
ReplyDeleteI wonder how much of the $262,500 went toward the purchase of the new chin? Judging by the size of that chin, probably the bulk of it.
ReplyDeleteThis shows you nothing is free in America.
ReplyDeleteBristol is like the neighborhood drug dealer. They first give you samples of their goods for free and then later on they charge you for their stuff. In Bristol's case her stuff got her $262,000.
Over at E! in the comments posted for the so-called rebuttal (exclusive to E!) is this comment, below, which appears to be from Sarah herself:
ReplyDelete8.
Sarah Palin Tue, Apr 5, 2011, 7:07 PM
I would just like to thank the mindless droves of liberals who constantly obsess over me for making me and my family famous, thank you all!"

Love the wad of bright blue gum in her mouth. Classeh.
ReplyDeleteMAN! I wish *I* could have a job where I only have to show up ONCE/year, and get paid $70,000!
ReplyDeleteLet's remember that at the time Bristol was paid this money by Candies, she was NOT a celebrity - had not been on DWTS, etc. She was just a teenaged dropout unwed mom from a tiny town in a remote state. Oh, and her mom was a failed quitter wannabe, well on her way to establishing herself as the laughingstock of American politics.
ReplyDeleteWTF? Candies paid Bristol $262K to discourage teens from having sex?
ReplyDeleteAll that did was encourage the neighborhood trailer park princess to get pregnant in hopes of they too can lay that golden money making egg.
If Candies want to promote a great message to discourage teen sex, they should hire Levi and just take one picture.
The scene would be Levi walking out of a Family Court House with his empty pants pockets pulled out and his empty wallet laying on the floor with a dumb founded look on his face asking for bus tokens to get home.
Anon 6:06
ReplyDeleteWillow start screwing -- She's been humping for some time now.
I've got it. Discredit and defend PP so Candies Foundation can take it's funding and the money can go to Bristol for providing a much needed service to young teens all over the country (GAG!), after Candies breaks a chunk off for themselves, of course. It's all part of the master plan.
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, based on the legislation GOP has put into law to help themselves, this wouldn't surprise me one bit. Far reaching? Yes. But it's not like a Palin has never benefited from something they put into law before.
The Candies Foundation: The Palin-approved sex education program. Look, but don't touch. But if you do...wrap it up, because my baby was the biggest mistake of my life!
Do they not know that when most people think of both Bristol AND The Situation, that promiscuous whores instantly comes to mind? Fuck Bristol and The Situation! Fuck Candies!
Looking at that picture Gryphen posted of Brisket in the black dress got me thinking.
ReplyDeleteI see two chins on her, did Brisket get the big chin implant in hopes of hiding her other sagging chin?
Or did she get a facelift that went bad? Their attempt to pull up her sagging second chin just forced all that fat into her front chin.
Paid for having sex - what's the word for that?

Excuse that was not a facelift that went bad. Why do you guys pick on Bristol?
Bristol handed out Comment Cards to the boys in town after having sex and the boys responded with "Bristol needs a bigger chin so they have a place to rest their scrotums".
Bristol looks AWFUL in that photo. Do ALL the Heath/Palin women have unusually large heads? Certainly not filled with brains, but maybe their EGO is overly developed? I wonder if Uncle Rupert paid any of these "fees" for all the hard work?
ReplyDeletePicture of Bristol is the scariest vampire picture I have ever seen, bar none!
ReplyDeleteBristol: follow your new career path!
I am reminded how the universe gives us blessings in unexpected ways, and we should be thankful for them.
ReplyDeleteSarah and Bristol, and all the others in their tribe of dysfunctional lying grifters (Chuck!), are busily showcasing their own trashy taste, con artist business acumen, and uneducated insights - they keep showing how they are, as if they are not only unaware of how bad it makes them look, but even as if they are proud of what they put on display for all to see.
Isn't it wonderful, really? Just think, with just a little bit more savvy these people could be fooling more of the public - but no, they just can't help themselves! As my son would say: they stink on ice!

Get your story straight! That big chin of Bristol's is not a serving tray. It was the result of foreign objects constantly slapping against her chin. I believe the EMT's report diagnosed it as "Blue Ball Trauma".
There are teens who are looking at Bristol Palin and seeing that she made out like a bandit, so why not them? What they might not consider is that she has piggy backed off her mother's "status."
ReplyDeleteThe fact that this young woman was paid such an exorbitant amount of money for preaching something she obviously has not practiced should permanently discredit the Candies Foundation. With teenage pregnancy rising, they have proven to be part of the problem, not the solution. Furthermore, Bristol Palin is no longer a teen mother but someone who became a mother as a teen. As time goes on, a mother's age when she gave birth matters less and less, while her ability to raise a child to healthy, productive adulthood matters more and more.
Brisdull is an example of all that is wrong in our country today. Fat, ignorant and pregnant before 18, she is the bloated icon of her generation. Oh, and don't forget to throw in an enormous sense of entitlement and you pretty much have it all. She gets paid to reproduce (like welfare) and is lauded for her ignorant commentary as well as achieving celebrity status for being a whore who says "Do as I say, not as I do." My 15 year old daughter thinks Brisdull is a joke but unfortunately the uber christian/tea bagger girls she goes to school with just love the Palins. Guess what? One of those Palin worshipping girls just got pregnant, at 15 years old!! Oh, but don't worry, Brisdull did it and look how good it turned out for her! Praise the lord.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is an ugly picture of Brisket.
ReplyDeleteCandies Foundation says on their website:
ReplyDelete"Research conducted with Seventeen magazine found that teen girls who have been exposed to the foundation and its messages are more likely to view teen pregnancy and parenthood as stressful and something to avoid, and they are more likely to be skeptical of positive media portrayals of teen pregnancy and parenting."
http://candiesfoundation.org/statement.html
Sure! Bristol Palin is the perfect person to show that pregnancy and parenthood is stressful (as she can basically sit on her ass most of the time, except when she's getting paid to dance for a little while of deliver painful dialog with the Situation or pose for a magazine spread. And seeing Bristol all gussied up for DWTS or in her Vanity Fair spread and making a huge amount of money for doing nothing really makes teens skeptical about positive images of teenage mothers.
Candies managed to find the perfect hypocritical spokesperson for their hypocritical foundation.
Why is Bristol no longer employed by the Candies Foundation? Does that mean she was pregnant in 2010?
ReplyDeletehttp://sarahpalinhasaserpentsheart.blogspot.com/
Bristol is the only celebrity who seems to have been paid by Candies. The others, like the Situation, did it for free. A service to the public.
ReplyDeleteThat short video in 2010 probably took, what, four hours? So that is $17,500 an hour! Must be rough. I work part-time now because I want to be home more for the kids, so it would take me four years to make 70,000 working as a part-time working mom.
ReplyDeleteForget marriage and college, I guess I should have had a famous mother and gotten knocked up in high school, instead. What was I thinking? What a message.
She doesn't always promote how hard it is being a teen mom -- she glamorizes it. Remember that fancy dress making cookies in her brand new condo photo spread in a magazine she did, making teen motherhood look so glamorous.
Question: If Bristol hadn't have gotten knocked up and marketed by her evil mother, would people really even remember her?
Unfortunately, the aforementioned comment is in error. Having sent the following corrective missive to Mr. Sullivan, I hold out little hope for its publication and hope you won't mind if I share it here, instead, as I did at Palingates.
ReplyDelete____________________________________
While I agree with their assessment regarding the aesthetic offense inherent in the insufferable Public Service Announcement featuring Bristol and the Situation, it aggrieves me to report that the conclusion submitted by said reader regarding the foundation's compensatory mechanism is false.
The Candie's Foundation selects a new personality annually and compensates them
accordingly. If you look at their last three returns, you will note payments to William Morris and CAA that are comparable to the honorarium Palin received. Given the date the PSA at issue was likely filmed–mid-fall 2010 during Bristol's disastrous tenure on Dancing with the Stars–Mr. Sorrentino's remuneration will no doubt be reflected in next year's 990.
Celebrities routinely lend their identity capitol to various worthy causes without redress or personal benefit. That said, pro bono is fancy Latin talk. However could we expect a family that as yet to master their native tongue grasp such an exotic concept?
Bristol gave an interview to Greta on Fox saying that abstinence doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteThere are My Space screen captures of Bristol writing that her mother took away her phone because Sarah thought that Bristol was pregnant. The date was May, 2007.
Bristol is a dreadful public speaker, and has the personality of a rock. She is not a good spokesperson by any stretch of the imagination.
Living with a boy friend in her house in Arizona is not the role mode of abstinence.
There are enough Teen Moms getting cheap publicity. We don't need one more.
The chief of police of Philadelphia earns $250,000. a year. He does more hard work in a day that Bristol does all year.
6:41- NOT FUNNY
ReplyDelete@6:11 - someone needs to let phat Bristol know that it's not just "liberals" who don't like her family. Oh no. It's tons of conservatives, too, honey--and even some real "Christians."
ReplyDeleteAfter Dancing with the Stars, Bristol was more well known and popular, right? Why would Candies no longer use her as their Abstinence spokesperson? It would seem like she would be an even better known celebrity. Did they cut her loose for a reason....like she was no longer practicing abstinence? Or maybe she got pregnant again? Sure is interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe really horrible sad thing is that LITTLE GIRLS are the ones most impacted by this, and groomed for precocious overt sexuality.
ReplyDeleteHow?
Young mothers, and mothers of a particular demographic and lifestyle, are attracted to the Candies message and its products. It appeals to them and consistent with clothing/product marketing and television show marketing (Jersey Shore, other reality shows).
Walmart, Fred Meyer and Target hawk trashy clothing and inappropriate shoes for toddler to pre-teen girls, targeting the moms who buy the crap. They dress little girls emulating this look.
You see it all over Anchorage, Matsu, Kenai. It's startling and offensive. Spaghetti strap camisole underwear tops, too short/too tight shorts, leggings and dresses worn bare legs, high-heeled sandals, etc. In Alaska winters.
You seem them every day at Costco, Dimond Center, grocery stores, clomping around through snowy parking lots and hanging off shopping carts yanking at their uncomfortable little tart outfits while their brothers are dressed in the same sweats, jeans, t-shirt and tennies that little boys have worn for 40 years.
Inappropriate for the weather, inappropriate for age, inappropriate to promote healthy active confident little girls.
The little girls are not making the clothing choices - their mommas are. Mommas who are not unwed teen parents. Mommas who are old enough to know better. Mommas who were not dressed this way themselves, 20 years ago.
This isn't about personal taste - this is about sexifying children.
Standing in check-out lines, I have watched 50 year-old men leering at little girls and trying hard not to look obvious. On multiple occasions in Anchorage, Alaska. It is so disturbing and pervy that it makes me want to call someone, like child protective services or the police.
I have made eye contact with these men and there is recognition that I busted them salivating at a 6 year old.
When this happens, I make comments in a very loud voice to my own teen daughter about what a good thing it is that she wore a Patagonia fleece and winter boots, how cute her scarf is, how when she was that age I dressed her in matching sweatsuits because there wasn't the variety of California styles like there is now.
One of my own family allowed her 12-year-old to attend graduation dressed in a pair of low-cut sweat pants with writing across her bottom, spandex shorty camisole with her belly button visible, and flip-flops. I couldn't believe it.
In the favorite Anchorage book store last Friday, a younger teenage girl following her mother around at 4 pm, texting on an IPhone. Capri tights, jeweled flip-flops, a strapless tube-top polyester tunic that looked like a baby-doll nightgown. She looked ridiculous. Not appropriate even in Florida, except at the beach or a party.
Come on, moms and dads. If your daughters are confident and strong, allowed to be little girls, raised as human beings of value and not sex objects, they won't be influenced by garbage like Candies/Bristol Palin's messages.
It's hypocritical for Sarah Palin and those of her ilk to preach "less" government in the affairs of it's citizens, yet in the same breath, find it OK for foundations like Candie's to hire young reps to stand in front of a camera and think telling their peers about abstinence isn't as invading and interfering? What difference does it make whether it's tax dollars or corporate dollars that pays the messenger?
ReplyDeleteWhere are the parents, Sarah? Isn't a PSA kind of like using surrogate parents to tell young girls how to behave, how to prevent pregnancy so as not to interfere with their plans? How could an 18, 19 year-old have any influence on young girls? Who are these young girls anyway? Why don't their parents teach their kids about sex education, teach their kids about their personal values, personal moral choices.
An intimate subject like "don't have sex" cause I say, from a celebrity face is NOT the way a christian (who Bristol calls herself) goes about sharing her faith on points of virtue, self-respect, and sexual self-control. Methinks Bristol doesn't really care about the bible and thinks she can play the double-minded man in all his ways angle. Either Bristol needs to settle down with a young single pastor and start a girl's safe house ministry for pregnant single girls or stop exploiting the subject for fame and money.
Bashing Bristol's hypocrisy as abstinence advocate is like aiming rocks at the side of a barn -- from inside the barn. What we should be asking is why anyone would pay an unwed mother, who is neither particularly attractive nor talented, $262,000 to advertise teen abstinence. Bristol has some name recognition and "celebrity" status as daughter of SP, but how can she be worth that kind of money in advertising value?
ReplyDeleteMaybe this wasn't a payment for advertising, but a slush fund for Sarah. A well-known method of paying graft is to employ a member of a politician's family to do a little work for a lot of money. Is there any way to find out who gives to the Candies Foundation?
13,000.00 a day If she worked 20 hours in 2009 if she worked 20 hours.
ReplyDeleteNice job if you can get it!
i worked as a nurse during my pregnancies and the most I made was 21,000.00/year. (many years ago!)
Is that picture of Brisket with her mouth full of chewing gum?
ReplyDeleteIt's a horrible picture, however it is.
What a sow. Nice chewing gum, "Bristle," anyone ever teach you chew with your mouth closed?
ReplyDeleteI thought not.
"The Harsh Truth: Teen Moms Tell All"
ReplyDeleteSo sad, apparently Candies Foundation didn't pay that OTHER unwed pregnant teen Palin girl for her appearance. Too bad, she actually deserved a little financial help. She lives the life that Bristol represents - a college student, lives alone in an apartment, takes care of her own kid. She's the niece that sold the Naughty Monkey shoes for tuition money.
She didn't get Vogue or People magazine spreads either.
And that is proof that Bristol's media blitz and appeal is nothing more than an extension of her mother. If Bristol was a stand-alone story on its own merit, the other Palin girl would have been primarily featured.

Read this over at CNN yesterday, and everyone is furious that she gets paid for having sex and lying about it.
ReplyDeleteShe might as well forget the fake ghost written book, no one gives a rat's ass about this lying sex lover.
I seem to remember that Bristol was on TRL (the MTV music show with an on-stage teen audience) when Sarah first was chosen as the VP candidate.
ReplyDeleteIt's clear she is desperate for fame, as many of her generation are...witness the ongoing crop of reality "stars" who are only famous for drinking and acting stupid.
She isn't very smart, isn't academically driven, isn't more than vaguely pretty, doesn't have a great body, isn't a great athlete, doesn't have an ounce of stage presence. So how could she possibly become famous?
Getting pregnant and milking it for every possible ounce of fame and fortune. That's how.
it's easy to stay abstinent when you're only 19 and have a body like Bristol's and one bastard son under your belt...
ReplyDeleteSo is fat Bristol the Pistol still the face of porn for Candies?
ReplyDeleteWhat did she do with that last baby? Is Willow still staying with another family cause she can't be out in public?
How does someone go from having a man on top of you and dancing in a cage to giving Christian speeches? All the photos from Bristol in Haiti certain appear as though she is pregnant. The more "recent" photos all appear to be older (before her teeth were capped for DWS).
ReplyDeleteTwo words--- MONEY LAUNDERING
ReplyDeleteHard ass worker my ass, while taking a break from lumbering around the ABC dance floor, Gristle uses the DWTS set and a co-competitor to film a lame commercial about "safe sex" not abstinence.
ReplyDeleteShe was collecting huge sums of money for sub-par performances (heavy-set competitor Kirstie Alley has more finesse and jump in her dance than this sack of potatos 20 years her junior) on this show while phoning in a PSA for Candies?
LameStreamMedia has a new face. The Palin gift of grifting and lucrative enablers are astounding.
9:13 - Kirstie Alley is actually 40 years older than Bristol, not 20.
ReplyDeleteKirstie is 60 - which makes her performance amazing considering her self-admitted "I am out of shape right now."
I don't even want to think about what Bristol will look like or how badly she will dance when she is 60. Yikes!
9:13 - 20 years her junior? Try 40 years her junior! Brisket is 20, Kirstie is 60!
ReplyDeleteOh, Gryphen, can you lighten up the picture so that we can see how big the belly is?
ReplyDeleteANd if you want to take it a step farther - at Bristol's age, Kirstie Alley was hot!!!!
ReplyDeleteThinkback to Cheers and when she was with Parker Stevenson. And she is a talented actress.
And Bristol's talent is... uhm...oral metal finish removal one (or two) small sphere(s) at a time?
As I see it, Candies hired a nympho slut as a spokesperson for teen abstinence. Their ads are essentially pornographic and their spokesperson is an overpaid whore, n'est-ce pas?
ReplyDeleteIf the Candies Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, they need to be investigated for fraud. This whole thing just seems like a brazenly cynical scam to provide money to one of the Palin spawn because she is too fucking stupid and lazy to do anything other that to get her brains banged out while getting paid to pretend to be virtuous. Candies is paying less than 10% of it's money to do what it was ostensibly set up to do. On top of that, their spokesperson is doing the exact OPPOSITE of what she is paid to promote all while taking about the other 90% of the money. The entire thing sounds like a scam to me. Could Candies withstand the scrutiny of a forensic accountant?
Maybe Candies can start an anti drug abuse campaign and hire Charlie Sheen as their spokesman. They could even buy him his coke. Given their record, that sounds about right.
Candies products are cheap sleaze. Brisket's advertising for them is cheap sleaze. And that is EXACTLY what she is doing - advertising. Teens know about the products, and those videos remind them to buy from Candies. I wouldn't put it past them to use subliminals.
ReplyDeleteThe Situation was probably not compensated because he was ADVERTISING his despicable show.
the Candie’s Foundation, spent more on advertising $165,000.
ReplyDeleteWTF

Jimmy Kimmel Live: Bristol Palin Makes Quarter Million

The advertisements that Candies has run (shown on this blog, in fact) are sexual and totally counter their supposed message that teenagers not be sexually active. They pictures PROMOTE SEX.
ReplyDeleteBristol's being involved was a huge farce and I suspect sister Sarah was behind getting her hired and paid that ungodly amount of money FOR NOTHING. Great example of mothering ONCE AGAIN, Sarah!
I would never have sent my granddaughter to hear Bristol speak...never in a million years. She is a not a good example as an unwed mother w/a nanny, sexually active teen and young woman.
The Candies Foundation: The Palin-approved sex education program.
ReplyDeleteOn your knees baby....
The picture sums up everything about Bristle.
ReplyDeletemore than twice as many teens (57% vs. 27%) said Bristol's PSA "got my attention FOR ITS HYPOCRACY", three times as many (41% vs. 11%) said it was "powerfulLY BAD", and more than twice as many (38% vs. 16%) said it was "A memorable FAILURE".
ReplyDeleteThere, all fixed!
Candies has came up with a sure fire way to stop teen pregnancy!
ReplyDeleteShow teen boys a photo of the Brisket and tell them if they get someone like her pregnant they might have to wake up next to her for the rest of their lives.
End of teen pregnancy problem.
Kevin@7:50 AM has a good point.
ReplyDeleteI told my daughter if she was looking for a great paying career she might consider dropping out of grad school and getting knocked up! The Palins took the country in a downward spiral once they arrived on the national stage.
ReplyDeleteThat sure is a strange picture of Bristol, her eyes are real weird.
ReplyDeleteShe looks so much older than 20, maybe around 35 or so.
Is she stoned?
Just to let you know, when I tried to Share this on Facebook, I was informed I couldn't as it had been termed -spammy, or flagged', soooo I copied the link and posted it anyway.
ReplyDeleteThat picture of Bristol is horrible - chins and heavy!!! It is obvious today that she has had facial surgery...much longer chin than back then. 20 years old and has already had facial work...the kid is a mess - but, what examples did she have to follow?
ReplyDeleteConsidering all that is going on in the USA and the EARTH....I can't even imagine why anyone has any interest in the Palin Family in any way shape or form. These people are and always have been irrelevant and unimportant.
ReplyDeleteI admit that I relish and support all effort to disclose the f-n lies of this "Sarah Palin" person and the entire adgenda of the Republican party. BUT give me an F-nn break! This is nothing more then a Soap Opera - and that is all that it is - to distract the American public from the real issues....the enslavement of women.
While these people are promoting SEX = teenage SEX - they are at the same time demanding that women are stripped of all rights.
Such a pretty girl -- with her mouth closed.
ReplyDeleteSpit out the gum, or is that a blue grill.
Take a look at the entire Candies Foundation 990. Look at what their top officials make.
ReplyDeleteThis is 100% fraud, and should be stopped.
Well, I could have put the url to the 990, couldn't I?

What a photo of Bristles!! Even Charlie Sheen wouldn't want THAT.
ReplyDeleteBrisket must love that picture of herself in the black dress. That's when she used to be skinny.
ReplyDeletethe video embedded here an endorsement for Bachmann! Yikes! I gotta throw up now.
ReplyDelete:hi:
Denise (Michigan)
She was either pregnant during DWTS or NOT a hard-worker. I thought that family was supposed to be all athletic, just car-pooling from one sporting activity to another.
ReplyDeleteYou know, this really makes her nothing more than a high priced hooker. She spread her legs and got paid for doing it.
