Todd Palin's love child. Does the National Enquirer have it right?
Which means that, yes there are stories about Todd having fathered a child during his marriage to Sarah, that did NOT issue from her loins.
Is the gossip based on facts? Well when we get into that territory things get a little murkier.
I first heard about this story more than a year and half ago. It came from a trusted source, but I was cautioned against pursuing it as only a handful of people knew, and they were afraid it might get back to them.
However since then the story has been discussed openly by any number of interested parties, and honestly I have no idea exactly how many people are now in on the "secret." Whether or not anybody is willing to put this in a book, a documentary, or a movie is any one's guess at this point.
I was interviewed by the Enquirer for this article, but had virtually no new information to provide. They seemed to have heard almost everything that I knew, and then some.
One of the questions they asked was why none of the bloggers had ever posted this particular bit of gossip.
I answered quite honestly that personally I did not have enough facts, or had interviewed anybody close enough to the story, to feel comfortable I could write it with enough detail, and trustworthy sources, to protect myself from legal action.
Having said that, now we can see if this story has any validity or not.
After all if this story is a complete fabrication then it is in Palin's best interests to shut it down by legally going after the National Enquirer. Taking them to court, and winning, would be very beneficial in re-establishing her credibility. If she does not, that simply lends credence to this story, and Sister Sarah suffers yet another devastating blow to her family mythology.
In my opinion, from what I have been told in the past, Palin does not have a legal leg to stand on. But hey, I could be wrong!
The ball is in your court Sarah.
