Are they seriously asking for $100 for this lousy "documentary?"
Look I am a HUGE movie fan, and I am perfectly willing to fork over $24.00 for a Blue-Ray disc, chock full of razor sharp images, amazing special effects, behind the scenes footage, and an alternative "Director's Cut" ending, but unless this DVD cleans my house, makes me dinner, and gives me a massage with a "special ending" there is NO WAY would I pay a hundred dollars to own it!
All this DVD offers is a highly sanitized version of the career of a woman who is so incredibly disliked in her home state, one of the reddest states in the country by the way, that Alaskans would choose Barack Obama over her for President if she ran against him.
It is almost like she is trying to drive the last of her supporters away by hitting them up for money every chance she gets until they are either too poor to give, or too disgusted to care.
Palin's defenders have been suggesting that the people who are trying to destroy Sarah Palin MUST be working for President Obama.
So Sarah? Is that true? Do YOU work for President Obama?
Because NOBODY has done more to damage Sarah Palin, than Sarah Palin herself!
(Now Palin-bots don't bother trying to get me to reveal the name of my spy, I'll never tell! Why I can only imagine what terrible things might happen to poor Becky if yo....uh oh!)

ReplyDeleteDidn't someone say that the bots had been tricked into sending money early for the dvd as It turns out that SarahPac can't give them the dvd until the fall because the movie needs to run in theaters before ANY dvd is released? Isn't that basic in contracts so movie theaters don't get screwed?
Let's face it, if the flying monkeys get the movie they will burn a million copies. Then they'll try to flog it onto the internet for their queen for all of us to laugh at for free.

This is one of the huge differences between President Obama and Sarah Palin. I got an email from his campaign asking for five or ten dollars. Sarah asks for a hundred dollars.
ReplyDeleteEven though her campaign will send a propaganda DVD to ease the sting of paying so much for so little, it is more like rubbing salt in an open and festering wound.
She has no sense of how much a hundred dollars can impact the budgets of her fans. President Obama seems to understand that most folks right now don't have a lot to spare - better a little from many than a lot from a few.
Sarah just never thinks of anyone other than herself. If she did, she'd keep this crappy movie to herself. Even giving it away would punish the few who follow her.
Of course, as the years grind on, perhaps the DVD will gain some status as an odd, though awful, piece of political memorabilia. Or perhaps it will win one of those awards for the worse piece of crap to ever be filmed.

Bannon knows these DVDs, like Palin's last book, will sell to no one. SARAHPAC must be losing steam as well, so they are doing anything they can to keep the spigots open. Meanwhile, Sarah will be shilling HER book in MN because 'dear sweet Bristol' can't draw a crowd with her own whining tome about sex (and if you can't sell a book about sex to the GOP, you are really out of favor!)

ReplyDeleteSarah is not a player in politics any more. But she is going to ride out speculation that she is as long as people keep sending her money. She is driven by attention, greed, a stubbornness to prove her critics wrong, and an attempt to regain the esteem she held the day she was presented as John McCain's running-mate, most likely at the expense of those close to her and her relationships with them.

It's summertime. Most families have to save all year to make a nice little family vacation plan with kids or friends; they need their cash. I'm curious as to how financially-secure the palin-bots are, as they can always dish out money to SarahPAC or donate to the drives her teams conjure up.

Once upon a time, when Sarah quit her low paying governor job, someone slapped together a book and a bus tour for her and five hundred people waited in line to buy a copy and get a peek at Sarah.
ReplyDeleteAt the same time, she gave $100,000. speeches in venues that held several thousand people. As Sarah's new celebrity cash-in tour continued, it became harder and harder to fill the seats, sometimes selling (or giving away) 2,000 seats of a 4,000 seat venue. Now, she's down to 300 in a small Iowa town.
This is a sign of several things. Her staff is barely able to arrange a one week family vacation designed to teach us all American History on the fly. When was Sarah's last $100,000. speech? Did she sell thousands of tickets, or was it more like hundreds? The Iowa straw poll shows Romney and Bachmann in the lead, and Sarah doesn't register in the list.
It really was all about the money.

She was criticized for wearing conservative skirts and blouses on her "family vacation" bus tour instead of casual clothes because it made it appear she was on the campaign trail, so she shows up at the movie premiere in jeans, a tacky belt and a rumpled, unbuttoned shirt. It's almost as if she (and I count her handlers in the "she") tries the next time to do the opposite of whatever she's been most recently criticized for. How predictable is that?
ReplyDeleteAbout the DVD -- I remember receiving in my mailbox a conservative propaganda DVD before the last election -- I don't recall from whom, but it was free, and unsolicited, and probably cost a million dollars to produce and distribute. So the Rogue takes the cue and asks $100 for her piece, which will go only to those who WANT it, not possibly to undecideds. How smart is that?
I agree with those who say she's bringing herself down better and faster than anyone else could. BTW, Bristol, I can recall lots of female politicians past and present, Republican and Democratic, wearing red jackets. When they start wearing thigh-high pencil skirts and 4-inch red heels, I'd say you're on to some copying of your mom.

“I can’t see her sitting this one out,” he said. “The stakes are too high. It goes back to 1940. Can you see Churchill sitting it out? It’s unthinkable. Can you see George Washington in 1776 sitting it out? Unthinkable. He wanted to be back on his farm but they said we need you to be president of the republic.”
Mr Singleton, 56, tall and urbane, is a man of considerable mystery. He represents the national Organize4Palin group and has been ubiquitous in Republicans circles building up a network for the former Alaska governor, whose presidential intentions have kept Americans guessing for months.
Although he was standing about 20 yards away from Mrs Palin as he talked to me, Mr Singleton insisted he had never met or spoken to her.
This stance, which he has maintained assiduously since he began working on organising a Palin 2012 campaign in Iowa last November following a scouting trip four months earlier, is something that some senior Iowa Republicans do not take at face value.
It was Mr Singleton who telephoned Beth Hill, director of the Pella Opera House, last Thursday to ask her whether “The Undefeated”, a full-throated defence of Mrs Palin and her career, could be shown there. He then visited to look at the auditorium and put Stephen Bannon, the film’s director on the phone to speak to her.
“Peter came here and he found our town reflected Sarah Palin’s small town, conservative values,” she said. Mr Singleton was also instrumental in distributing the 332 tickets for the film as well as inviting 1,000 Iowans, including many key Republican leaders in the state, for a barbecue afterwards.
When I asked about his involvement, Mr Singleton said that he was an old friend of Mr Bannon and he had been just one of ” a bunch of people” who had helped set up the screening.

How about this: we start an email campaign to the MSM/LSM/what-have-you to ask them to charge for covering $P's adventures in lala land.
ReplyDeleteWe start with Larry O'D, getting him to promote it. Since she is not a politician, and she is a celebrity, she needs PR of any kind. To properly provide said PR, the networks should ask SarahPAC about $5,000 up front to cover an event for her, as well as any and all expenses of course. Newspapers should also charge, perhaps a nice even $1,000? They are all missing out on very important revenue here, and since everyone else has to pay for advertising, so should she.
She wants our attention, she should pay for it, and dearly.
If only the 'bots would take that $100 Palin wants deposited in her "trust fund" and donate to it a worthy charity...the USA would be a better place. Or send the DVD out at cost and have SarahPac donate the remaining PROFIT to a charity for Down Syndrome Children?

I doubt many will buy the DVD, because that is a lot of money for nothing. Some of her fans might like a copy but spending $100 is not a good use of their hard earned money.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are retired but we sell antiques at a local mall where we rent several booths. June has not been a great month for sales and we know of many others at other antique malls where business is way down too.
Sarah and her partners in crime are grifting for dollars and for $100 you only get one lousy DVD that you will only watch one time if you can even manage to get thru it the first time. People want something for their money and this whole thing is such a ripoff.
Why anyone who even likes her would waste their money on this piece of junk is beyond me. If she is going to run a campaign, then run a campaign and ask for donations then.
People are getting informed about Sarah and know she is just asking for money for SarahPac to live the rich lifestyle. She can use the money for her mortage or whatever.
If she decides to run, she can't use the money in SarahPac because the way it is set up. Sarah is a grifter, that's the facts.

ReplyDeleteI admire the Palinbots for getting involved in politics. However, use some critical thinking skills for Christ Sake. Remember what Reagan said, Trust but Verify. If you want someone with an actual servant's heart and real verifiable background, find that someone.
The Palinbots are already living in a fantasy world. Sarah Palin has spent the last three years training her supporters to remain ignorant and loyal. She created a fictitious enemy called the "lame stream media" They told lies about Sarah and her family. And that was really the biggest lie of all. Palin couldn't handle criticism so she started working for the real "lame stream media" Fox News. She's been lying every time she opens her mouth, the fictional death panels...ahhh fuck it. The Palinbots are way too invested in their fictional world to accept the truth. They deserve to have their world come crashing down just as much as Sarah deserves to be humiliated when she falls from grace. She's already ruined her chances for a comeback story so I can't wait to see her go!
