Margaret Thatcher ally: "Lady Thatcher will not be seeing Sarah Palin. That would be belittling for Margaret. Sarah Palin is nuts."

Courtesy of the Guardian:

Sarah Palin wants to show to the Republican right that she is the true keeper of the Ronald Reagan flame by meeting the late president's closest ally on the world stage.

A meeting with Margaret Thatcher in the centenary year of Reagan's birth would be the perfect way of launching her bid for the Republican nomination for the 2012 US presidential election.

This is what Palin told Christina Lamb in the Sunday Times:

"I am going to Sudan in July and hope to stop in England on the way. I am just hoping Mrs Thatcher is well enough to see me as I so admire her."

It appears that the former prime minister has no intention of meeting the darling of the Tea Party movement. Andy McSmith reported in the Independent this morning that Palin is likely to be "thwarted" on the grounds that Thatcher, 86, rarely makes public appearances.

It would appear that the reasons go deeper than Thatcher's frail health. Her allies believe that Palin is a frivolous figure who is unworthy of an audience with the Iron Lady. This is what one ally tells me:

"Lady Thatcher will not be seeing Sarah Palin. That would be belittling for Margaret. Sarah Palin is nuts"

I was going to add a little snark to the end of this post, but there is really nothing I could say that is as perfect as that last quote.

Looks to me like camp Palin just outed themselves in another lie. I recall months ago that they claimed Mrs. Thatcher had "reached out" to Sarah for a meeting. Now it appears that they are reaching out to her for a meeting.

Kudos to Mrs. Thatchers people for seeing Sarah for what she really is. I wish more people here would do the same.

Can't help but wonder if they'd be ripping her for Paul Revere for starters, from there it just goes downhill, they love a good scandal, you know they'd be asking about the baby and they read our news so I'm sure there's more than one reporter out there dying to be the one who cracks this story into the MSM. Emboldened by Weinergate they will be out for blood with Sara. The reporter who cracks babygate can see a Pulitzer in their future. Hell, I'd nominate them for a Nobel Prize for the peace I'd get from her disappearing from our lives

IIRC, Thatcher's daughter said that Thatcher was suffering from dementia after a bunch of strokes... and that was more than a decade ago. Aha! Found it:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/7579352.stm

The revelation was more recent, but the onset was quite a bit ago.

If Dame Thatcher can't complete a sentence, she might be one of the few people on this planet to make Palin appear eloquent in conversation.

However, anybody who'd take that sort of advantage over a disabled old lady is lower than the leavings of a slime mold.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Another reason why I love Britain and the Brits! They pull no punches and neither does the UK press. They'd tear Palin a new one and then move on. Exactly what the press and journalists here should do. Call a nut a nut and then move on to more pressing issues. Very simple really and the country will thank them for it.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Anonymous2:25 PM

The temptation of blowing it, might be too great for Queen Esther, though. One of the proposed names for the new country of South Sudan is the Kush Republic, named after the Biblically noted entity known as Cush, which briefly ruled from the Southern Sudan all the way to Jerusalem, Tyre and what would now be Damascus, from around 727 BC to 653 BC.

Franklin Graham’s American political protégé is the candidate of choice of the Dominionists, and he knows it. Her political machine might be closer to farce than a force, but Graham’s organizations are quite astute. He will probably engineer a meeting and photo op between incoming South Sudanese President Salva Kiir Mayardit, who is Catholic, and Palin, who wants to scoop up Santorum’s potential acolytes.

Then onward to Sudan to co-opt that celebration.

It's interesting that she said 'I am going to Sudan in July..." rather than 'We are going'. Is she hoping the divorce rumor will gain steam and then she'll crush it with Todd trailing along behind her. Or is she diverting attention from a real divorce?

Well, here she goes now--trips to England and the Sudan--nothing like a trip to get away from the negative press from the major goat you-know-what of a bus tour (which was meant to distract everyone from the Dunn and Bailey books, and we saw how well that worked!) Then there was that major screw-up of history and her attemps to get away with the colossal blunder about Revere, great time to leave, and what luck--this planned trip! It just might help distance her from the bus tour from hell and the surrounding mishaps and chaos thereof (called distracting from the distraction) while making her look like she is on some foreign policy mission.

Of course, the president was recently in England, so to keep herself on the same level she believes she is with him, she needs to go as well. Sudan--another opportunity for photo ops, like Haiti, (and will there be a cycle available there for her to pose on?) and an attempt at trying to beef up on her foreign policy. Maybe someone will cough up some audience (from another planet) to listen to her babble on about it. And as usual, this is about her, as is everything. So far, most everything this dizzy broad attempts to do ends up like six monkeys trying to eff a football.

Will this be another "productive" tour like the one to the mid-east? Wonder what type of "bling" she will have hanging around her neck, and can't even venture a guess at the shoes--all of it aimed to catch that media attention and further market herself.

On and on it goes--the game of Palin the stumbling idiot vs politics and the press. She is so extremely toxic to this country, and it is so totally embarrasing to our nation that this prating prevaricating she-devil is on the loose.

And on her Sudan trip lets refresh:
During her 2008 vice presidential debate with Joe Biden, Sarah claimed that as Alaska governor she tried to fight atrocities in Sudan by having the state pension divest itself of investments there. Not so, as ABC News demonstrated. In fact, Alaska state representative, Les Gara, a co-sponsor of the divestment measure, said that Sarah’s administration “killed our bill.”

Despite Palin’s claim in the debate, her administration’s position on the bill was summarized by her deputy revenue commissioner, Brian Andrews. At a legislative hearing in February, 2008, he said, “Mixing moral and political agendas at the expense of our citizens’ financial security is not a good combination.”

In other words, forget the atrocities as long as we’re making money.

Nonetheless, in the debate, Palin said, in regard to the genocide in the Darfur section of Sudan:

“What I’ve done in my position to help, as the governor of a state that’s pretty rich in natural resources, we have a $40 billion investment fund, a savings fund called the Alaska Permanent Fund. When I and others in the legislature found out we had some millions of dollars in Sudan, we called for divestment through legislation of those dollars to make sure we weren’t doing anything that would be seen as condoning the activities there in Darfur.”

Which is exactly what she did not do when it mattered.

As the legislative session was ending, and there was no chance that the bill could even be brought up for vote, she had another aide say that she’d changed her mind and now supported the it. However, as the Washington Post reported, that was only after it was clear that time had run out.

Americans For Prosperity Places Fake Eviction Notices On Detroit Homeowners' Doors To Drum Up Support

    http://thinkprogress.org/justice/2011/06/07/238832/americans-for-prosperity-detroit/

"The Michigan chapter of the Koch-backed conservative activist group Americans For Prosperity (AFP) has been campaigning against a new bridge project called the New International Trade Crossing (NITC) that the state is considering. While there may be some merit to some of the arguments against the NITC project, the tactics AFP has just been found to be using in campaigning against it are revolting.

Yesterday, numerous residents in the Delray area of Detroit came back to their homes to find eviction notices. The problem was that these notices were not authorized by any sort of local government authorities. Rather, they were mocked up by AFP to look like actual eviction notices. The “notices” sensationally claimed to homeowners that their property may be seized if the NITC is constructed. Some residents, particularly elderly ones, were physically shaken by the tactic:"

I can't believe that this B*TCH is giving the women/people of the US such a bad name AGAIN (like it was under gwb (sic). ARRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!

Sarah's fan club is over at the ABC link defending her as usual and attacking the congressmen.

Don't her fans get how crazed they appear when they in numbers make such excuses for her.

They seem to think they are helping Sarah but they aren't. Not only that, she is hardly loyal to them. They are SO STUPID!!

If you get a chance go leave a word of support for the lone congressman who had the integrity to ask WHY when all these parks are closing, are we spending extra to help someone who isn't a public servant or an elected official. Of course her low IQ bots compare her to the President.

What is wrong with those bots ? Have they all had lobotomies? LOL

SP, Newt Gingrich and Paul Ryan are in the latter group. Ryan because he likes talkin' about cuttin' that there Medicare, but he really doesn't know anything about it.

Has anyone heard or seen RAM ??

Has she been tweeting or was she also thrown under the boss.

Dear RAM; I know you hate us and that is ok. But you know you should really spill the beans and make all you can now while the iron is hot. You know all kinds of secrets don't you?

Tammy Bruce started a twitter war of some kind between Bachman and Palin people. Tammy is a strange one - supporting a woman who would never in a million years support her life style. Tammy can dream on but Sarah still thinks she is gross.

Sarah is a USER - She is trying to use Thatcher and now she is going to use children and a culture that are starving for her own political gain. What is fascinating about Sarah is that she is clueless about how her pandering comes across. She really thinks she is just so clever and that we don't see what a sick user she is.

We see you Sarah! And it seems your family is starting to see you too. Pretty soon, you will be all alone in a huge mansion in 125 degree Phoenix.

While Grifter Granny was on her vacation/campaign bus tour to nowhere with political props in tow, the First Lady & First Daughters snucked out of DC for mother/daughters' private time.

First lady Michelle Obama, daughters made secret trip to Chicago

THE SCOOP: FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA and her two darling girls, 12-year-old Malia Ann and 9-year-old Natasha a k a Sasha Obama apparently eluded the press over the Memorial Day weekend.

The dynamo trio came in May 27 and left the city May 29. While in town they helped send the son of their best couple friends, Marty Nesbitt and his lovely wife, Dr. Anita Blanchard, off to his prom. Alex graduates from the University of Chicago Lab School this month and is heading to Harvard. Also, Malia attended a bar mitzvah of a close friend. Everything went very smoothly and they were in and out of the Windy City without the press getting wind of it. Dear ol’ dad was busy elsewhere running the country.

The bots over on ABC are hysterical. They do everything but answer the question. What the hell are we doing affording her special privileges. I think someone should let Brad and Angelina know they are being trashed for getting special treatment when they go to a national park or landmark. I'm sure they'd weigh in for us. Palin should pay up, hell, it's not her money and she's going to deduct all the expenses anyway. It costs us to guard her and then she gets a tax break on top of it. Nice gig if you can get it.

What happened you ask? It is embarrassing for Sarah Palin to go on a family vacation of the east coast and your children do not want to go with you as your props.

George Clooney does a lot of good work in Sudan. I saw him interviewed about two months ago and he had Malaria for the second time from going to Sudan. I hate that for George he really has a good heart and does not do good for attention. I usually do not wish harm to anyone, but Sarah is so evil I hope she finds out first hand what these poor people have to endure. If she contacts malaria it will make her think twice about going again for a photo op.

3:35 She's scooting AGAIN while the scooting is good. The emails will be released by the State of Alaska on Friday, the 10th. Gov Parnell (who she appointed when she quit and he has since been elected - Alaskans are absolute idiots!), after near three years, is releasing all of them except about 3,000 that he has deemed to be too personal and government business releated. Parnell is on record for continuing to protect Palin! He would not do a public release of the emails for the world to see. The national press requested them years ago and MSNBC indicated yesterday that once they received them they would put them on line so that ALL could download and review them. Neat!!!!

I suspect Palin to be 'getting out of Dodge' to coincide w/the release of the emails which were ordered/requested by many. National media outlets asked for them longer ago than Palin actually served as governor, if you can believe that!

We in Alaska expect them to show Palin's husband, Toad, as being the one that actually did the work as gov and it is on record she 'hated the job' and found the work to be 'too hard'!

Our State Legislature could never find her (they actually had pins made that they wore showing her photo with the quote 'Where's Sarah?"!!!

Remember that folks! Be sure and vet the emails (via MSNBC) as well as purchase the books that have already been published as well as the ones that are forthcoming about Palin. She IS NOT who she projects herself to be! And, neither is her family.

Hi folks, Hubby and I are on vacation, but I have been reading IM on my IPhone. I have an important thought to pass on from him:

My husband is a Scotsman who knows Ms. Palin (Heath?) blathers on so he generally ignores her and lets me keep him up to date on important matters. When I read him the quote Lady Thatcher's friend gave the Guardian, he was quick to tell me the Guardian is top notch serious newspaper with real journalists. If they said it, others will be taking them for their word.

So is Ms Palin (Heath?) going to throw the British press under the bus? Highly unlikely; if she tries, they will run her
    out of London.

Ms Palin (Heath?) you should learn the meaning of the British slang word "Wanker". You will probably hear it allot as you try to impress others on a World Stage; they are not buying what you are selling.

“I am going to Sudan in July and hope to stop in England on the way. I am just hoping Mrs. Thatcher is well enough to see me as I so admire her,” Palin told Christina Lamb in the Sunday Times.

Palin know Margaret Thatcher plans on being at the unveiling of Ronald Reagan's statue (statute according to Sarah Palin) on the 4th of July. What is that Palin bull shit “and hope to stop in England on the way… Oops it just happens I plan on being their on the 4th of July…. Oops it just happens I’ll be there to see Ronnie’s statue… Oops it just happens Margaret Thatcher will be there…. I hope she is well enough to see me as I so admire her,” ROFLOL

Next, Diva Piper Palin would run to the Anchorage Police Dept and get a restraining order!

Next, Sarah would find Trig Palin and would run to the Anchorage Police Dept and get a restraining order!
