Sarah Palin ignored Jeremy Morlock's plea to be brought home from overseas under a "compassionate reassignment." Update!

Here is the e-mail that Morlock sent to his Governor, and family friend, on August 23, 2007:

Web mail from: Mr. Jeremy Morlock
address: 2 bn 1st inf reg bct Ft. Lewis WA 98433

MESSAGE:

Mrs. Sarah Palin rnrnSarah I wish I knew of a better way of getting in contact with you and I know your busy having a whole state to run but, I was writing because I had a question to ask. I guess I'll start off by letting you know where im at with things, being in the Army as an lower enslisted man its hard to get things done, I've been looking in to a regulation we have called a 'compassionate reassignment (AR 614-100).' It stipulates under certian circumstances a soldier can request to move duty stations to help care for family in need . I know you have known my family for some time and I think of you all as friends and you know my mother is now taking care of all the girls by herself while trying to keep a job. I'm not asking for pity for my family or myself, I'm just asking if there is anything you could do to help me with my process of getting home to Alaska to help. My direct chain of comand (team, squad leader) have been trying there best to help with out causeing! problems for them selves but, the fact is that my Unit is not really supporting me and trying to coax me to stay. I appreciate your time in reading this and any help you can offer.rnrn sincerely,rnPFC Morlock, Jeremyrn2/1 INF 5 SBCT

This was the response Track's good friend, and son of Todd's schoolmate received from the Governor's office.

Subject : RE: Military_and_Veterans_Affairs
Thank you for writing to Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. The concerns, opinions, and/or information you have sent are important and valuable to the Governor. Although she is unable to respond to each and every email herself, your message has been received and is being reviewed by the appropriate staff person in this office who can best address your need, suggestion, or comment.

We all know what happened to Jeremy Morlock after that brush off from Palin's office.

Just imagine how his life might have been changed if only the mother of his sister's best friends would have taken the time to listen to his plea. And you know she really could have helped him, after all she had little trouble keeping her son Track out of harm's way during HIS time in the military.

Update: Nobody is making excuses for what Jeremy Morlock did, he has to take responsibility for his own actions. But this young man entered the military to impress his father who then died in a boating accident in July of 2007.  A month later, while still grieving that loss, and after hearing from his mother how difficult things were for the family, he reached  out to his best friend's mother, who happened to be the Governor of his state, and asked for help getting back home to help them.

And for those efforts he did not even receive a personal response from the woman who he believed was a personal friend to his family

Somebody suggested that the Morlocks and Palins are still friends, but that is not true.  Yes the girls are still friends with Bristol and Willow, but the mother has absolutely no use for Sarah and Todd.

After all it was THEIR house that Willow broke into back in December 2009, and after the Palins refused to pay for the damages, and then arranged for their daughter and her friends to get off while throwing the rest of the kids to the wolves, that pretty much severed any ties between the parents.

In fact Jeremy's mother, Audrey Morlock, has been doing every thing she can to hold her family together with absolutely NO help from her "friends" the Palins.

NOW do you understand how disgusting it was that Palin did nothing to respond to this young man's pleas for help?

Uh oh. Not good. Not good at all. sarah was probably pissed at Jeremy because he forgot to address her as ¨Governor Palin.¨

This says everything we need to know about how sarah really feels about the troops.

First, he should have sent letter to the home of his family friend. Second, he should have not happily killed a human being and enjoyed the experience so much.

Thanks for posting this. I believe that it was Ripley in CT who first found this and posted the find at Palingates last night.

Sarah Palin could twist and turn the screws to position all her high school pals into jobs for which they were ill-qualified. Tracks girlfriend found many jobs in the administration. That she did nothing for this boy who spent time in her kitchen, who she likely drove to and from hockey practice --- isn't that what hockey moms do after all ---is just heart breaking.

Just so sad. Imagine being all those miles away and receiving a "form email" from someone you trusted.

  6. Anonymous11:06 AM

This email too is a must read.

The story is truly sad but IMO reflects the 'true Palin' for the neglect (can't think of better word as this infurriates me). It's an email like this that should be front and center to show her uncaring and neglect of her duties. She cared for no one but herself. To ignore the numerous reports of abuse of children in foster care.

I think that's why Palin, Parnell et al OCS emails exist in 'vague' form -- they were in total damage control of the lawsuit. Two young boys suing for neglect, abuse and worse, the mention of a young child dying from the same. A Court Appointed Special Advocate, a volunteer position, was terminated after writing to Palin. Documents inaccurate/falsely documented, etc.

    January 13/08: Email:
Complaints came in; abuse went on

Email references an ADN article by Lisa Demers - Jan 12, 2008 (no longer available on ADN site) - Complaints came in; abuse went on
STATE CUSTODY: Witness lists string of reports of harm.

"The young men are now suing for 10 million dollars, their lives are permanently damaged, and I hope that finances ease their burdens and futures into adulthood life. I was a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) and I was terminated from my volunteer position, after I wrote a letter to inform the Governor, and explain to her, the abuse
I witnessed of a tiny-toddler in OCS foster care, and the lack of action"

GRYPHEN or someone: Anything happen as to this case? Was the State or Palin or someone found neglegent??? Did it quietly settle???

    http://palinemail.msnbc.msn.com/palin2011/pdf/11129.pdf

    It is # 11129.pdf

I cried reading this email. These boys will be haunted for the rest of their lives while she sat in office exchanging more emails about flippin' coffee than doing anything to address these kinds of massive problems. Fire a volunteer 'Court appointed' special advocate appears to have been her solution as she 'complained' direct to Palin.

Even so, the choices he made were still his choices while in that situation. If only he could have been helped to a different situation.

Now, mom still has a houseful of kids to raise, and a son in prison.

Wow Gryph, what amazing unbiased reporting. I suppose Sarah is responsible for everything Jeremy did. He is so innocent , that when he was plotting to kill a haji , he must have had the voices in his head from Sarah .

Bottomline - Man up to your mistakes. And not everyone gets everything they want in life , so if he didnt get reassigned , is his only next step to kill.

As always , your fantastic reporting is.....

PS :- arent you tired of the truth being told to you by me that you never ever accept my comments.. you are fair and balanced .. just like a tv channel I equally have disdain for ...

This makes me so sick and I can only imagine how this young man must have felt to be so pushed aside. What a shameful thing that his pleas were ignored. I absolutely find this to be the most hateful thing I have ever seen come from Palin. And, indeed, her son received such special handling and she still lied about the extent of his service. What a hateful soul. I hope she one day comes to understand how her actions have affected the people around her.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Anonymous11:25 AM

Yes, when Ripley posted it I mused on the timeline. I guess you have cleared that up, Gryphen.

A lot of what ifs and tragic outcomes here.

So awful when you realize it's just a form letter response, too.

It's possible she never even saw it, though I don't want to let her off the hook on anything at all.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Anonymous11:31 AM

The "response" provided was simply an automated one that everyone who sent in the email form on the AK gov website received.

Just because no followup email has been found from Palin to Morlock, doesn't mean it doesn't exist in redacted form, or that Palin didn't just pick up the phone and *call* somebody (to no avail) to try to get special treatment for Morlock.

As much as I loathe Sarah Palin, and say go after her for everything you can, I don't see how you can go after her for Jeremy Morlock's own criminal and vile actions - they are on him and him alone.

Thank you anon @ 11:03. I also came here and posted the link, I believe, once the server was running smoothly enough to let me in...unless it got lost in the fray of the intertubes.

    We're all in this together.

I also tweeted this e-mail, wondering what would have happened if Mrs. Palin had paid any attention to his plea. Surely, someone read it, as they seem to read all of the ones that congratulated her on the birth of her son. Also, his subject heading surely garnered some attention, doncha think?

I sent this to Bill Dedman of msnbc.com, as well. I hope it goes viral.

  14. The problem with the alternative that you write about Palin helping get Morlock home would be seen as "special privileges". And she would have been blasted for that. We've had way too many "senators' sons" getting special exemptions.

That said, she should have answered personally, or at least had someone answer his "begging". Are we sure Palin even saw this?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Anonymous11:45 AM

Sarah needed to keep Brita, Track's girl friend, now wife, close to prevent her from saying anything about Track. And, Track had plenty of baggage that needed to be kept in the store room, out of sight. Sarah couldn't afford even the most innocent slip of the tongue.

I think that is why she always kept Piper close to her because Piper could have blurted out something unplanned, too. We have seen that Piper can't contain her emotions when it came to her mother giving interview instead of paying attention to Piper on the "family vacation."

I don't think that Sarah had that much power with telling the military what to do, or with whom. Otherwise, we would have seen Track assigned to guarding an embassy somewhere in France or Italy instead of being stuck in Iraq for a year.

Morlock's letter is sad because he can barely string enough words together to write a letter. His wasn't a case of great need; other soldiers were faced with the prospect of their wives having to take care of kids and find a job. Everyone would deserve a compassionate post. Morlock took out his frustrations on the wrong people, and he will spend a long time paying for it. It's a sad story.

There's an element of hypocrisy in there, considering that Willow was involved in vandalizing an empty Morlock house.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Great find, though very sad. Did you discover this yourself, Gryph?

  17. This email means the media can't continue to downplay the relationship between Jeremy Morlock and the Palins.
I suppose there could be other emails on this subject that were on the executive privilege list or were completely excluded from the search because they only involved yahoo addresses. Mrs. Palin has some explainin' to do.

Great find, Gryphen, and thanks for giving this it's own post.

Unfortunately he may have been ignored because Sarah did not check her official governor@alaska.gov email address. That was left to her administrative assistant Janice, who forwarded e-mails that she thought were important. If she didn't recognize the name or thought the email sounded from someone unstable, etc., she may have not forwarded it.

  20. I've looked at the email Nov. 9th, at 5:49 pm from Parnell to Sarah with the title OCS-infant. Parnell says he had had a call from Karleen Johnson about an extremely important issue and asks that Sarah call him asap in a quiet spot where she can think.

The response via email was at 7:14 the next morning from Sarah saying she had some time that morning that she could call and asked what the issue was. Parnell replies that there was no need to call until Sarah had time and that Karleen had gotten more info after talking with him and others.

Does anyone believe that two blackberry Sarah would not have followed up on that email immediately. I think she did and it was personal to her family. I think someone realized that although Sarah’s emails might escape public scrutiny, Parnells would be public and so they engineered a “downgrade/cover up email” the next morning.

My notes show that that week was later identified by Sarah as when she found out that Trig had Down Syndrome although I realize she has given a couple of dates when she found that out.

To add to the intrigue, there is a draft of a letter Sarah was to send to the Supt of Anchorage schools at 7:47 pm on Nov. 10th that was completely redacted. Why would that be?

Wow. What a callous and cold response to what appears to be a son's genuine concern for his mother.

I know Jeremy Morlock did horrible things later on but Palin turned her selfish back on a young man that she could have easily helped. With friends like Palin, the Morlocks' didn't need enemies.

And THESE are the emails that made it through the scrubbing process? How much worse are the emails that were too bad to be released?

The point is that throughout history, people have contacted their Senators, Representatives and/or Governors to help cut through red tape when there is a genuine need for a hardship release or reassignment. Everyone knows of cases like that. Palin could have tried to help - she did nothing.

Morlock later went on to do horrendous things but Palin wasn't able to predict what he would do in the future.

Palin's response or lack of response was cold-hearted to say the least. She was a cruel, selfish and unconcerned governor. She was and is a failure at everything that she does.

I disagree that this would be considered "special privileges" in SP's case. LOL!! THAT is all she DID for all of her high school buddies, members from her church, her husband, parents, kids!!! They ALL had SUPER SPECIAL privileges! Why not Jeremy Morlock?

It's never been reported that this kid was a family friend of the Palin's. Looks like a good time to point out that connection :)

  32. Accente, it's the fact that he received a form email from her and no real help. How callous. It's also her hypocrisy always mentioning the troops. When a family friend who recently lost a parent and fellow Alaskan asks her for help she gives him a form letter. I tempted to say something really nasty about her character and possibly yours for trying to defend the likes of Sarah Palin but I'm past that. Sadly there is just no help for you folks.

one seen as the male responsible for the family if there is no other 'breadwinner' to do this.
..which of course triG would not be
    leaving track for the spot.

if morlock was 'sole surviving' breadwinner in the family it makes sense he would try for this. which by dates he did in 2007 vs when the killings went down between jan-may 2010.

tho im now sure that SP used morlocks empathy cry to get her own son out.

He didn't mention in the letter that he was going through any emotional or psychological upheaval....just that he was worried about his mom. I think most soldiers are worried about their parents and families that are left behind...just as the family worries about the soldier. So even if the detestable SP got involved, I doubt she would have any influence over the military. I hope that she did send a personal letter to the kid...but who knows.

The worst thing you can have in Combat is a loose cannon. What is sad is her lack of response. I am a military rape baby. if I were to write a memoir about this, I would disappear, guarantee it.

It's sad. Jeremy definitely was not alone in being away from family members. I'd imagine most enlistees have sad stories. He also came home before his last tour. Was there soul searching? At least he still has his AK friends, including the Palins.

Am just pointing out you guys are so sure of being right and have the righteousness feeling to say anything about her is wrong. Just like fox news is sure that they are gods chosen one. Both of you are wrong. That's all. You can see hypocrisy everywhere you want to find it. Sarah maybe the worst person in the world but all of you reading this and commenting blame Sarah fir another persons actions. If everyone wrote to her for a favor and she obliged , you would cut her down for that too. Actually wish she obliged everyone to come back from war Coz am a pacifist. That's why gryph is great at reporting but not the truth as his blog headline says but Coz he has his own agenda and point of view.

Jeanette123 I think you are absolutely correct that there was a manipulation of email accounts, to give certain impressions or obviously to cover things up when necessary.

Is it standard practice for there to be so many accounts for gov't figures? I can see an official account and then a private one, and it sounds like ethically the two are supposed to be kept separate, but clearly folks are finding examples where there were referrals to Sarah's private account, even if it was State business.

In addition, if I am understanding things correctly, there were several other accounts for her as well?

The redactions, the held back emails, and the multiple accounts should be the story here. It's what's not there that is important, it's what's not.

I think any journalist worth their salt is going to look at this issue, this week. I am expecting this topic to be a large part of the discussion coming up.

  61. I agree with leah that we do not know if Palin even read this. Morlock's assumption, that if he wrote to the Governor she would read it, was not correct, even for a small state like Alaska. Palin would know his name, but if the staffer who read the email did not, it may never have been brought to her attention. On the other hand, maybe she DID see it and did nothing anyway - we just don't know, one way or the other.

I support our troops overseas. More specifically, I support our troops overseas BEING BROUGHT HOME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

  62. Might be interesting to note that nowhere in the released e-mails (at least the few thousand I read so far) does SarahP exhibit any compassion or sympathy for others.

She's full of vitriol and unflippenbelievables for many issues. She's paranoid and demanding. She's consumed with nonsensical and trivial issues. She's snarky and vicious in her name-calling (vajayjay anyone????).

But where is it shown that she has a heart? Any feelings of care beyond those she extends to the writers of her Op-eds, or the watchers of her children?

OK, agreed. But at minimum it should remind Palin how easy it is to find yourself "pallin'" around with the wrong people. If I ever hear that out of her way overutilized mouth again I will scream...and then remember that it's Palin we're talking about here, and with her, there is no learning or evolving or aha moment, just a constant frenzy of impulses--revenge, anger, jealousy, resentfulness, deceit, and crude provocation over and over again.

This kid was calling out for help, pleading to someone he knew has connections, and considered a "friend". This is war, and it's ugly what he did, but maybe a different response than a form letter may have helped give this guy some hope to get the help he so desperately needs.

If anyone believes, for one second, Track Palin didn't receive "special treatment" during his "volunteer enlistment", you're kidding yourself. He was in a corner of an office somewhere sealing envelopes, making coffee, using a staple remover, and whining about paper cuts.

This email casts Sarah, the supporter of the troops, in a very poor light. She could focus like a laser on Lyda Green's every breath without missing a beat, but she couldn't take the time for this kid?

Thanks Gryphen, and Ripley, we're in this together, getting this out is the main objective.

I'm actually not that disturbed by "Sarah's" response. It appears that Jeremy sent it through channels. If so, Sarah didn't read it and send it to some committee. RAther, a committee, or social secretary, or someone reviewed all her emails and triaged them. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt on this that whoever didn't forward it to her didn't know of her connection with Jeremy, or else that SP got so many such requests that it was difficult to say "yes" to any of them.

If Jeremy wanted to contact her as a family friend, he should have written to her at her home (surely he knows the address.)

It is tragic to realize in retrospect that if SP had been able to respond, a tragedy might have been avoided. I don't think that could have been predicted however, because as I read it, Jeremy didn't say he was going crazy and needed relief.

I might be convinced otherwise. I don't know the people or system for handling mail that well. I do prefer to expose Sarah's very real and numerous faults, and not lose credibility but trying to include everything possible.

There is someone on another blog claiming emails they sent to the Governor's office were scrubbed - not only completely removed from the email dump group, but from their personal email account!

Is that even possible? If it is, wouldn't it take the flippin' CIA to do it? Or the FBI?

Maybe I misunderstood, but if it's true THAT can be one of the takeaways.

Retire that Photo? It's war, it not pretty. Shrub tried his best to spoon feed us bullcrap, to overlook the fatigue our soldiers undergo after multiple calls to serve, the mental torture they endure, the high rates of domestic violence, mental problems, and suicide, etc. He wouldn't release a body count of those we lost, and we have no clue how many innocent lives were snuffed, maimed, and tortured becase photos like this were "retired".

We have to stop sanitizing war in this country. We're not even allowed to view the flag draped coffins and publicly mourn our heroes, except for a few holidays where people have a day off, put a flag on their lawn, and pig out on beer, hot dogs, and hamburgers and go on with their lives, while countless families feel unsupported and marginalized in their grief.

  84. As the wife of a retired career infantryman, I see nothing unusual in this. Compassionate reassignment is rare in the military, and I'm sure there were many men and women who needed/deserved it more than Morlock. Palin couldn't be expected to know what Morlock would become involved in.

My husband's request for compassionate reassignment was denied when he was sent to Camp Edwards near the DMZ in Korea in the mid-70s on an unaccompanied hardship tour. I was five months pregnant with our fourth child, and had partial placenta previa. We briefly considered going along and living "on the economy." But the nearest village was Yong Tae Ri, with no potable water, and homes heated with charcoal under the floors so many people died of carbon monoxide poisoning, not to mention the lack of medical care. We even discussed his leaving the army, but he loved it and I decided the girls, my unborn baby, and I could tough it out at home.

At seven months, I almost lost the baby and the Red Cross brought him home stat on emergency leave until our son was born.

Rank doesn't matter much, with the possible exception of top brass. My husband was a Captain at the time.

As much contempt as I have for SP, I don't see this email exchange as significant.

The problem with the alternative that you write about Palin helping get Morlock home would be seen as "special privileges". And she would have been blasted for that. We've had way too many "senators' sons" getting special exemptions.
    11:41 AM

Even during WWII only sons were allowed to stay home to be head of house hold or for other reasons, like farm work. In families with more than one military age son usually one would be denied enlistment into the military so that every American family had at least one young fit male to support and reproduce that family.

What he was asking for was compassionate reassignment so he could help with the care of his mother and minors in the family.
It is not an unusual request.

I don't think Gryphen is excusing what Morlock did, else why the gruesome and familiar photo?

He does pose a what if question. What if Mz Super Christian actually practiced what she preaches. Or at least had one or more of her staff actually deal, hands on, with these kinds of requests.

Maybe one young man would still be alive and the other stationed in Alaska free to help his mom and his family and complete his military obligation.

While only sons have always been allowed a deferment , they were NOT denied they right to serve. My father was an only son and also a farmer during WWII (both cases during the "big" war to stay out), he could have stayed home but he did not.
As for Morlock, he entered the service willingly, as did my son who (including a 4 yr "backdoor draft") served honorably and served 8 tours placing him in harms way.
While Sarah could have pushed to get him out, it's probably the only decision I agree with her on.

The sad thing about this is Jeremy Morlock was reaching out in whatever way he could because things weren't right in his world. Maybe it was more than wanting to help his family, in some way he couldn't articulate he may have needed help for himself. As other posters have commented, this is the military and it's rather unforgiving in this way. Many families have hardship as evidenced by examples here.

It is also sad there evidently wasn't any personal acknowledgement from SP. At least some encouragement if nothing else. Of course Jeremy made his own decision later on that was horrendous and it can't be blamed on an unanswered email.

I wish the military had more safeguards in place to help the soldiers that end up heading down the wrong path for whatever reason.

    Exactly.

I think Jeremy was given the blame by Sarah for Track's wayward path. She could not have Morlock corrupting her son or her image so he got one of those special go to jail or join the Army deals.

Jeremy joined the service finding right quick the good old days of running wild in Wasilla were over. Being told what to do, when to do it must have been quite a shock. Having your every liberty, freedom of choice, ability to come and go as you please must have have rattled him horribly.

I do not believe Jeremy joined without threat. He did not want to be there, he did not have the frame of mind or attitude or maturity to be where he was.

This kid's stupid drunken weekend pranks he pulled in Alaska never came close to the real life situations going on within his own unit. He was scared. He wanted to go home. He begged Sarah for help and she ignored him. His mind must have relinquished to the reality Sarah was going to let him burn in Hell.

He had seen with his own eyes how she treated her own daughter and heard from his sister while he was away how Sarah had become an epic monster. I say the kid to survive went along with his troop in an environment that caused him to do tings a boy from Wasilla might never have done had he not been forced by that famewhoring crazy bitch's personal agenda.

Like I said back when she was governor, they just ignored anyone who had problems which the state needed to fix. They did this to anyone who SP felt did not have anything to offer her because everything is about her. Probably all she had to do was write a letter or make a phone call and the military would have checked into this situation. Of course she had the insight into the incidents that lead Morlock and her own son to join the military. Her psychology could lead her to blame Morlock for Track's problems.

    AINT LIFE A BITCH JEREMY?

Jeremy Morlock, an actual uniformed United States of America combat soldier from Alaska serving in Afghanistan wrote his state governor, Sarah Palin for assistance. This American soldier is not only from Alaska, he is from Sarah’s hometown of Wasilla and has spent time in her home playing with her kids.

Sarah Palin, who was Jeremy Morlock's team mom, did not even have the decency to personally write him back.

Sarah had a staff flunkie reply to his message.

Interesting, how Sarah toots her own horn proclaiming to worship our American uniformed soldiers and she did not feel it was necessary to personally respond to her children‘s friend‘s letter.

    BUTTTT….

Gov Sarah had the time to make sure Britta Hanson, her son’s girlfriend, has a letter of recommendation for college from the governor. http://palinemail.msnbc.msn.com/palinAll/pdf/11683.pdf

Gov Sarah had the time to make sure Britta Hanson, her son’s girlfriend, was picked to be on a board.as a governor-appointed commissioner for Serve Alaska

Gov Sarah had the time to make sure Britta Hanson, her son’s girlfriend, was a page/intern for the State of Alaska in Juneau.

Gov Sarah had the time to personally insure Britta Hanson, her son’s girlfriend, has a job with the State of Alaska. The governor herself wrote emails to get Britta a job, but how sad she was unable to respond to Jeremy’s email.
    http://palinemail.msnbc.msn.com/palinAll/pdf/13999.pdf

Sarah had time to call in favors to get Bristol across that graduation stage at the last minute.

Sarah had time to call in favors to get Track off of his school bus vandalism charges.

Sarah had time to call in favors to get Track out of combat duty in Iraq and got him a cush job driving officers around while Jeremy risked his life day after day in actual combat.

Sarah had time to call in favors to get Willow off of her breaking and entering / vandalism charges.

Sarah had time to call in favors to get the Anchorage Police Dept to write an official untrue statement to a news rag magazine stating Todd was not involved with pimping or prostitution.

Sarah had time to call in favors to get Piper out of school to go with mummy on a book signing tour.

Sarah had time to call in favors to get Piper promoted to the next grade after missing so much school during mummy’s book signing and campaigning tours.

Sarah had time to call in favors to get herself off of her ethic charges.

Jeremy, because of Gov Sarah Palin, you get to wear another uniform in your young life… you get an orange jump suit.

Finally, Gov Sarah Palin applauds our American soldiers, without them we would not have our freedom!
In Jeremy Morlock’s case, an American soldier lost his freedom because his governor was too busy being vindictive, hiring high school friends for jobs they are not qualified to do, too busy worrying about polls against her, worrying how to quit her job so she can make more money.

Jeremy, Lifes A Bitch When You Have To Rely On Your Governor And You Don’t Have $100,000 to Get Her Attention.

A damn good comparison of Sarah ignoring Jeremy INTENTIONALLY because he had nothing to offer Track is Sarah giving preference to Britta's Email.

Britta Emailed Sarah from Spain asking for a job. A teen personally Emailing the governor of the state of Alaska on a private government account for a job is ridiculous. The fact Britta was placed as the executive secretary is outrageous. But it goes to show when you are useful to Sarah's plot you get a reply and you get to come home.

When you are not useful you rot in a foreign country.

I don't understand why she'd allow her daughter to be homeschooled with Willow before the family moved out of AK. And no one who threw th eparty in 09 or were there were charged with anything.

Why would Sarah and Todd pay? Willow didn't throw it. She had nothing to do with the creation of the party. This I know for a fact. 3 guys threw it.

"Update: Nobody is making excuses for what Jeremy Morlock did, he has to take responsibility for his own actions. But this young man entered the military to impress his father who then died in a boating accident in July of 2007. A month later, while still grieving that loss, and after hearing from his mother how difficult things were for the family, he reached out to his best friend's mother, who happened to be the Governor of his state, and asked for help getting back home to help them."

Until now I'd dismissed JM as just a cold-blooded sociopath, but reading this & the letter he wrote to $P, wow, he was messed up & begging for help. What he did was wrong, but I think he is disturbed rather than just a cruel person. Way to go, Sarah! Making folks understand & feel sorry for this guy!

I had a friend whose parents mine didn't mesh at all with, due to controversial reasons. Said friend wasn't allowed over at my home and I wasn't allowed at hers, which I now sort of understand and am not angry about.

I would think if what you're describing it factual, the same would be true. Yet the Morlock girls were frequently and recently (relatively) over at the Palin home. Marissa even was homeschooled with Willow.

Though I will say you have facts of the Dec 09 breakin way wrong. Willow had nothing to do with any of it. The kids who threw it even laughed that she was called the ringleader. Some dude named Chris was one of the instigators.

Here's some non palin perspective. I grew up with Jeb Bush's family. I dated his son. We are still close today - to all of them. My brother entered the military on a dare. During basic, he suffered several personal tragedies and tried to do what it sounds like Jeremy did. Except if he were to go to Gov Jeb and plead with HIM to get him out or another role, do you know what he result would have been? It's crazy to think of a leader like that making "nepotistic" decisions.

If the world were perfect, Jeremy's commanders would have seen his emotional state, whatever it was. But this is the fucking military. THEY FUCKING LET THEIR WOMEN GET RAPED AND COVER THAT SHIT UP to protect their people. So fuck all of it.

I have tirelessly worked behind the scenes hundreds of hours ever since Palin came out yelling Obama pals around with terrorists and all her other outright lies. I'm really starting to feel discouraged in the effort to expose her for what she really is. Palin is right about the MSM being the LSM - they always play right into her hands - she IS smart as a lying fox there. SHE doesn't get the treatment a male politician might from the LSM who all apparently think with their dicks - THEY are cowards and Palin knows it - thus the LSM and I have to agree with her there now. After all, NUMBER ONE she's PRETTY, she's a MOTHER OF FIVE KIDS, she was brave and gave birth to a DISABLED CHILD. She's a VICTIM boo hoo - no one dares to stand up to her. She gets away with whatever she wants to - until the courts says she can't and so far she and her family have gotten around that too. I see no end to that.

There are a lot of little stories, books written, op-eds and blogs everywhere - still Sarah doesn't have to answer to ANYONE. Yes the flying monkeys are bragging that their queen is untouchable and outsmarted everyone. Yeah Palin is excellently good about that - her forte' is revenge - she could write the bible on revenge even without the help of a ghostwriter - yes she's that good!

She has a lot of help - all her friends who still have jobs in AK govn't under her boy Parnell. They are all still indebted to her for their salaries. It just appears to me that Palin is teflon - nothing sticks. So far.

Please someone tell me WHY I should NOT give up now on exposing Palin after almost 3 yrs. Will anything ever really pan out? Can anti-Palins ever match the consistency & fervor of pro-Palins? I hope I am wrong because I'm just about nearly ready to completely ignore and not click on anything Palin!

I don't even trust the heavily redacted "emails". Don't trust dates, names, etc. since it was found that Palin admin. only outed personal email info to "enemies" all just so the Palinbots can harass them.

All feedback & encouragement I need to keep on keeping on....

Imagine the disappointment, the hurt. You have been dismissed by perhaps the most recognizable woman of any import in recent history. Here you are, toast of the tea party movement and chum of Donald Trump, and you have been summarily dismissed. You so badly had wanted to cash in on photos of yourself with a smiling, beneficent Thatcher, Reagan's dearest pal on the tumultuous world stage, a woman who would stand her ground while lesser men quaked. Foreign policy creds? Pundits would have gushed: Hey, if Thatcher likes Palin, she must be the real deal.

Pictures like that would have been priceless, the kind that make folks sit up and take notice, that help you proclaim to the world, "Hey, this old geezer was somebody but now it's me, and the Constitution and freedom and our soldiers fighting for better mountains and highways and pastel water fountains."

Those hopes are in the dust bin of history unless somebody gets busy with PhotoShop. Now, if you're Palin, you're just somebody with a garishly painted bus, a knack for drawing cameras like flies and the political instincts of Attila the Hun.

There is an amazing article at The Daily Caller today by John Zeigler -
one of the most ardent and loyal Palin supporters.

    http://dailycaller.com/2011/06/12/the-sarah-palin-i-know/comment-page-1/#comments

Zeigler is done with the Palins.
And when John Zeigler says bye bye-
    there aren't many left
    to turn out the lights.
This is a big , big deal-like Frank Bailey's epiphany.
He details in the lengthy piece
all the reasons why , but,
he still oddly continues to make excuses for Palin.
Zeigler has publicly and passionately defended Palin for the last three years.
He made a documentary , using his own money about how " mean "
    the media was to her.
Part of his documentary will be seen in
    Un Duh Feeted.
He traveled the country appearing on tv and radio at his own expense , defending her.
I have heard him screaming on the air against anyone who said
    anything negative about Palin.
Bailey's book seems to have given him the spine to break away , something
he should have done years ago as he details how disloyal and unscrupulous Palin is and
    how she often
    treated him like dirt.
He thinks Palin will run ,
as Todd approached him in May about helping out with her campaign.
Which Zeigler believes will be a disaster and he's told her so often.
Zeigler is now getting roasted by the bots as a nobody , who cares ,
    he's a jerk , etc.
He's probably getting the hate mail as we speak.
    Zeigler should write a book...

More importantly, I have read at least 2 email streams that were related to the deaths of AK soldiers. One message stated that there were 8 deaths from one AK unit. In these streams, LT Gov Parnell reported that he would be attending the memorial services to represent the state government.

Britta Emailed Sarah from Spain asking for a job. A teen personally Emailing the governor of the state of Alaska on a private government account for a job is ridiculous. It is tragic that Sarah Palin did not respond to this troubled young man, a friend of her family. Clearly this was an urgent plea for help and deserved a response. An intervention very well might have prevented the subsequent murders.

Many US soldiers are returning home with severe psychological problems--suicide rates among veterans and soldiers are extremely high. The wars the US is fighting now have no clearly defined enemy but the amorphous label "terrorist." Many civilians have died and are still being killed and many of our soldiers are being broken psychologically, in part because they are being turned into executioners not soldiers. And some are witnesses to the torture of prisoners currently approved by the US.

When soldiers break down and act in a war zone as Morlock and his companions did it indicates a severe problem in military discipline from the top down--a rotting that is structural, as in Viet Nam where there could be no "honor" since the whole country was a de facto a "kill zone." When the demarcation between murder and justifiable killing is so completely blurred the psychological damage to all is devastating and incalculable,

Sarah Palin is part of the problem in another larger way a she cheerleads and supports wholeheartedly the militarism and the lies that brought about the illegal and unethical war in Iraq, where millions of Iraqis have died in addition to many thousands of our youth-mostly the poor who have little chance of good employment or job prospects outside the military.

Her "friends" the Neocons are responsible for the extension of the American empire and its war and bullying under the guise of fighting "terrorism," while facts show that current US wars and aggressions are actually creating more terrorists as we continue to bomb civilians and destroy countries whose populations have never done any harm to ours.

With a flag pin in her suit lapel a la George Bush, Palin spouts a few lines of rhetoric about patriotism and our troops, while in fact our young are turned into cannon fodder in the most reckless and immoral ways. And when they return home they are untreated or under treated for severe psychological injuries and other traumas incurred in senseless wars that are really serving the Halliburtons and Cheneys et al.--the MI complex.

No words can describe the moral bankruptcy and blindness of people like Sarah Palin and the warmongers she really serves.

But I knew what case it referred to and was only vaguely aware of it's mystery at the time, so I just googled up more about the story. It is VERY deep and convoluted and remains completely unsolved. TWO cabins a couple miles apart on Dead Indian Rd. (outside Ashland, Oregon) burned down within an hour and no clues have been found. The one victim (whose body was so incinerated that it took 6 months to positively identify) was the brother of Linda Lewis Miller; the Alaskan woman in the email link posted at 11:06. Dave Lewis, was beloved by many.

Yeah, it's surely a long-shot, but .....really ironic. Google the names and you'll see there's still plenty of interest in this tragic mystery.

ok, this is just a little weird.

I commented earlier about the cabin fires in my local area in Sept '08, and I was just reading further on it.

The victim of the fire is the brother of Linda Lewis of Palmer, Alaska (the woman whose complaints about child abuse in Alaska seemed to be going unheard).

In reading the following article in another local paper, they quote her talking a bit about her brother. It seemed so out of place in this article that she would state:

"He loved politics and almost certainly would have tuned in on television to watch Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin accept the historic nomination as the Republican's first female vice presidential candidate", his sister said.

Huh? I'm sure it's just one of those hinky coincidences of the universe, but that case remains totally perplexing to friends, family and law enforcement.

We have no way of knowing if she didn't contact him in some other way or not. I really can't damn the woman on this incomplete evidence.

However, I did not know that the young man's father had died. I will definitely damn Willow even more for trashing the Morlock's home, when she must have been very aware that they had been devastated by the loss of their father and husband, perhaps that was why it was being sold. What a creepy child, but then the apple usually doesn't fall too far from the tree.

You suggest that blogging should be outlawed because the facts are not respected, giving life to half truths and lies. Palin is the most notorious liar I can think of, despite all the lovely, familial attributes you insist on attaching to her and her family.
Would you hold her accountable to the same standards? I didn't think so....hard to recognize what you refuse to look at it.

Also, ring leader or not, any kid that participated in the party and vandalism of the Morlock property has some serious behaviorial and attitude problems. Willow gets no pass. Your double standards and excuses for the bad behavior and flagrant lying that surrounds the Palin clan is stunning and hypocritical. Brainwashed?

Why do you Palinbots waste your time here? You are spitting into the wind.

is Jeremy Morlock Todd's love child? If so, SP wouldn't lift a finger for him.

To add to the intrigue, there is a draft of a letter Sarah was to send to the Supt of Anchorage schools at 7:47 pm on Nov. 10th that was completely redacted. Why would that be?

    ***

a letter explaining why your kid is being withdrawn from school because of advanced pregnancy sounds plausible.

Anon@ 6:13, it depends on what you can live with. If your goal is to expose everything that is fake and terrible about Sarah Palin, we may never succeed in doing that.

If your primary purpose is to see that she is never elected to public office again, and is never allowed to be a political player to any significant extent again, then I think we are getting there.

This woman may always be in our face, on TV, spouting off about something. That is a distinct possibility. Many failed politicians reinvent themselves, whether we like it or not.

America is a strange place. They love giving folks second chances. We are a celebrity crazed society. She fits the bill in many ways, as disgusted as I am with that reality.

Regardless, keep on keepin' on because our country needs you to do that. It's worth the effort. If everyone gave up she would get perilously close to power again, I fear.
