At least ONE of Kyla Grace Palin's grandmothers loves her.

The good grandmother, Elizabeth Hanson, is the one on the left.
Courtesy of Radar Online:

In an exclusive interview with RadarOnline.com, Britta Hanson’s mother Elizabeth expressed her delight over her first grandchild.

“Kyla Grace is great. She’s beautiful,” the proud first-time grandmother said. “I’m very happy,” she gushed about the new baby.

Her daughter Britta, 21, gave birth to Kyla Grace on Saturday, August 6 just three months after marrying Track Palin, 22, Sarah and Todd Palin’s oldest child.

“I love my daughter and my son-in-law very much,” Hanson told RadarOnline.com about the overjoyed new parents.

Elizabeth Hanson spoke briefly about her family’s relationship with the Palins. “They’re their own people; we’ve known each other for a long time.”

Well I am glad that at least SOMEBODY in this screwed up family knows how to honestly share their feelings about this precious child.  Good for you Mrs. Hanson!

It looks like Kyra will have access to at least some sane family members. You know Tripp could have had that too if Bristol and Sarah weren't such...well you know.

So are we going to have another magazine cover with the three (and counting) proud mamas exclaiming, "We're glad we chose life!"

How's that abstinence-thingy workin' out for ya, Sarah?

Remember when your mama told you, "If you can't say something nice about someone, then don't say anything at all?" Well as adults, we may try to do that, but the part of us that knows the truth about the other person, just can't live with "nothing" being interpreted as "OK." So we phrase it in such a way that...we haven't SAID they horrid people, or that we don't associate with them, but, it could certainly be interpreted as "those Palins are batshit crazy - they're their own people, not one of us normal folks, nor are they the kind of people we'd ever choose to hang around with if it weren't for our daughter's bad choice in baby daddies.

Nice job Mrs. Hanson, and I'd believe you a bit more if you hadn't smiled quite so broadly in that fake wedding photo - and you a preacher's wife.

@8:59 Don't be ridiculous. She didn't give us a triple AAA rating, the price of oil did.

What she did was take millions of dollars of that money and hand it out like candy to everyone--another socialist act in a socialist state. That was her idea of an "energy rebate." Her other brilliant idea was to take cookies to villagers who were forced to decide between food and fuel.

You're not from around these parts, are you?

in fairness, this is track's and his wife's child. out of wedlock or not they are both young adults- not high school teenagers, and young couples have children all the time out of wedlock.

track has never seemed to search out the spotlight, or bask in his mothers goofy glory. in fact just the opposite seems true. it is possible that track has told his mother to stay out of his business and not use him or his family for her goals. and it is possible she has respected such.

let track and his wife be, ie pls think about just leaving them out of the sarah palin saga and blog posts... so far they just seem to be nice people who dont want the attention good or bad. and yes i know about track's past, we were all teenagers once, some got into more trouble than others.

Nice try, but no, we are not missing Palin, not here in Wasilla and not anywhere else in the State. We've known that Sean Parnell (Captain Zero) was a loser since before he even got into politics; back when he was just a lawyer selling out Alaska to the oil companies. And Lisa M, well, she's a not-too-bright career politician that was able to win her write-in campaign because the alternative was so absolutely horrific.

We still have our AAA rating, without Palin, thank you very much. We have over $40 billion in the Permanent Fund and this year was a record year for that investment fund, gaining nearly 21%. I'd say we're doing okay without Palin. It looks like others may actually begin getting serious about a gas pipeline as well, instead of merely lying about it.

Sarah Palin hadn't a thing to do with the AAA rating. She did more all-around damage as governor than good and struggles to take credit for things she could not possibly have accomplished. I am an Alaskan ... I don't know a soul from either party who would wish Sarah Palin back in a role of power in this state. Her replacement Governor Sean is a joke. Senators Lisa and Mark make a great team for us in Washington. They are both incredibly hard-working and smart, and each is a moderate in his and her party, something we really need today. I am a Democrat who would support Republican Lisa again, and certainly Democrat Mark. And if Anchorage Mayor Dan and Governor Sean think they are going to make a dash for Senator Mark's seat they have a bigger job ahead of them than they can imagine.

The daughter or sister or whichever family member who keeps trying to convince us, in long paragraph format, that we should respect and leave alone the Palin family is hitting her head against a brick wall here. Get the message: Sarah is a dishonest, foolish, narcissistic woman who doesn't walk her talk ... there is absolutely nothing to admire about her. She tells lies and has from the start, and she is mean, childish, and vindictive. You can cuddle little Trig all you like ... big deal. Sarah Palin is a joke and she has, unfortunately, made a joke of her entire family. A real parent would never use her children as she has. i don't even know how many children most Alaskan politicians have, let alone what their names are or what they look like. True public servants work hard for their constituents and leave family out of it.

I know a 40-something year old woman who wouldn't let anyone know about her 4 grandchildren, because she didn't want people to think she was old enough to have grandchildren, and wanted to project the image of a sexy young thing. She got boudoir photos taken and hung them up in her cubicle at work! I doubt Palin's silence about the birth has anything to do with love of this baby. It has to do with Palin's self image and another baby conceived out of wedlock on the heels of family abstinence poster family.

Seven hundred and forty million. $740,000,000 is what it cost Sarah to purchase her 80% approval rating when she added $1200 to our annual Permanent Fund Dividend. This is a State that has no income tax or sales tax.

Where did she get this money? Why, this financial windfall came about from her taxing the snot out of the only job creators (other than her Administration for all her HS BFF's and donors) in the State - oil producers.

She tripled Oil Company taxes; told citizens that we knew what to do with this money better than the State; therefore she bought half the state's flat screen tv's, snowmobiles and trips to Hawaii that year.

In 2007, Governor Palin used line-item veto powers to cut $231 million in capital projects from the Legislature's spending bills (this is where Todd and Sarah, drunk on their inexplicable rise to power, sat down with a crayon and read through the line item budget proposal that included projects in the works for as long as a decade, and arbitrarily cut projects out with their three-seconds worth of executive education on what constituted a "State Responsibility") and that Spring, she rejected proposals totaling $250 million while allowing a substantial increase in the state's operating budget -- up 33% since the 2004 fiscal year.

Don't ever take Sarah's dare, which she's throwing down against Romney and Perry today, to look at her 21 month fiscal record as Governor, because it exposes her for being the most wasteful, socialist and government-growing "CEO" around.

Wait....I have to get my mind around the comment at 5:30....Britta is a Menard granddaughter???!!!! Does that mean her mother was a Menard? If that is true..it is really really sick and I thought illegal in all states. If not, that is a vicious thing to say. I know there is a troll who keeps telling us that he is not Menard's son, but if you go to the Serpent's Heart blog today and look at the picture, it removed all doubt about his parentage to me.

I think Track has tried to stay out of the Palin limelight as much as he can. I remember when his unit came back and Sarah was there to welcome them..and he chose to not attend. There she was, passing out flowers and her own son passed on the big photo op.

I didn't watch SPAK, but I have read that he did appear in it, but from the sound of things, he was clearly not there willingly or happily. I wonder if he didn't do it for the money. Since he doesn't seem to have a job, that would be a good incentive.

I really don't care when or if they are married. That is not an issue any more..except when you wear a big assed cross around your neck and act like a religious zealot.

I truly wish this young couple all the best but think it is going to be a very hard road for them...with that name Palin, they aren't going to be able to hide.

Mrs Hanson's comment about the Palins makes me like her a lot. "They are their own people" is like saying "They're beneath our standards, but we'll be the better people and just tolerate them". Real Class!
