Dozens upon dozens show up to hear Sarah Palin give a speech in a pitch that only dogs and porpoises can hear.

Photos courtesy of Slates' Dave Weigel:

Fox News reported that she "drew hundreds of supporters to Monday afternoon's rally."

However according to Wiegel (Who is such an objective reporter that I believe he wears his patented Sarah Palin Underoos when he covers her events), said that the "crowd" dispersed after Palin finished scaring away the pigeons and deafening small children for a three mile radius.

If that is true then how do we explain this video apparently taken in between Palin's speech and the appearance of Sharon Angle and Buddy Roehmer?

Just how fast did that crowd "disperse?" Was there a fire?
Perhaps the Teabaggers are just not that into the Palin political prick tease anymore?  Here is more from that Fox News report:

A New Hampshire tea party leader couldn't hold back his frustration Sunday night at another rally hosted by the Tea Party Express.

"Once again it is time to determine-- are you here to sell books or are you here to run for president of the United States?" asked Corey Lewandowski, state director for Americans for Prosperity, a tea party ally. "The people of New Hampshire deserve to know, are you serious? And if you are serious, then welcome to the race. And if you're not serious, get out of the way because we're going to elect a new president."

Aside from Monday's visit -- her second in New Hampshire over the last three months -- local operatives say Palin has not moved to hire staff or organize a ground game here in the state that will host the nation's first presidential primary in roughly five months.

"At this late stage, there's been so little infrastructure work for a potential candidacy, I think this is simply Sarah Palin wanting to be part of the process and to help shape the debate for the presidential campaign," said Michael Dennehy, who led Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign four years ago, but is uncommitted this year. "At some point immediately -- meaning the next week or two -- she's going to hurt herself badly if she does not announce that she's not going to run for president."

The head of prominent Granite State conservative think, also a tea party ally, says there is a growing sense of indifference among local conservatives.

"If she had done it right she could be popular here," said Kevin Smith, executive director of Cornerstone. "But I don't feel a lot of energy or enthusiasm here about a Palin run. Voters here in this state, who frankly have been taking this primary seriously since the beginning of the year, are indifferent."

Some have been asking WHY Palin might have faked participating in that Iowa half marathon on Sunday.  This is why.

Just like like writing fake letters of support to the local newspapers, wearing glasses that she does not need to hide her lazy eye, or faking a pregnancy to garner support from the pro-life people, THIS is the purely cosmetic approach that Sarah Palin uses to drum up support, or portray herself as healthy, or convince people she is still the gung-ho politician that she was during her campaign for governor.

If you know ANYTHING about Sarah Palin you have to know that her doing something like that is not only feasible, it is predictable.

I think your last comment says it all. You just know she is going to do something so outrageous that no one could possibly believe what she says and does is not true.
Quite frankly, I think she is getting more emboldened with each new thing she pulls off. Look at all of the "stuff" she has gotten away with over the years. What has come of it as yet? Lots of people now know about it, but she has not been stopped yet. So - on she goes to the next crazy stage.
By the way - I checked in with Oz early today and after your post to read it, I went back and reread it. I do not think the person in the first picture looks like Palin. The hair, stature, etc. are much like her - but something about the face is not.

Crowds are always inflated. I have personally seen a 250 person crowd for McCain somehow morph into thousands on the news. I was there, and know how much space the little plaza can hold. I also witnessed a very orderly pro GLB rally years ago in San Francisco with perhaps 50 people in attendance (not counting us on lookers. On the evening news it had become "hundreds or angry protestors. It wasn't angry or Hundreds. I don't believe anything any more.

Wolf Blitzer wrote on his blog yesterday that "she gives a good stump speech, and she doesn't need a Teleprompter, either!" I responded that it's because she says the same old crap each time. I also questioned why CNN was treating Palin as a real contender, and that until she actually declared and got on the stage to debate other GOP candidates she was just a "troublemaker" like COD. Most of the comments on his blog--the great majority I read--were extremely anti-Palin.

    Lack Of Irony Watch

"Like you, I’m not for sale," - Sarah Palin.

I was all convinced by John Fund's takedown of Palin's chances of running, because of her closeness to Perry. And then you read in her speech a diatribe against "crony corporate capitalism," which is Bachmann's line against Perry. And you wonder again. I'd go through the speech Palin made but it was so rambling, extreme and catch-all it's simply another example of her total detachment from reality and worth less scrutiny than your average Denny's menu.

But having now read Joe McGinniss's "The Rogue," I can safely say that reality is about to re-attach to her. Finally! Some actual, reported, unafraid journalism on this farce of a candidate. Pre-order now.

I like the "tea party aerobics" instructor, nice touch! Those are the people who need to get up and move!

Great Post, Gryphen, I imagine someone probably screamed something to the effect of "A person of color is approaching!" (like screaming "FIRE" in a crowded theater), and that's why the hundreds ran home. It's just a theory, mind you, but I checked and there haven't been reports of dolphins beaching themselves, but for some odd reason, lot's of dogs were heard howling in agony for miles.

Compare that to the Labor Day speech our President made!

The tea party can't admit it's fractured beyond repair, they hooked their wagon to an utter failure, and now have buyers remorse.

    Whining nincompoops, all of them!

She's only fooling herself. Running as a Tea Party candidate is her last hope to string this out. If they want her, and that's a big if, her campaign wouldn't last long as it would soon become obvious that "unconventional" would mean "not interested in putting in the effort" all the while burning through the party's cash on "campaign expenses". It could be that pretty soon she's going to have to pay all her own bills, except the ones she gets government $ for.

Sarah Palin has been running for president ever since the fall of 2008. Tina Fey nailed it when she turned to the camera, dressed as Palin, and began hawking those Palin 2012 T-shirts, warning people not to wear them until after the election. All of Sarah's anger that is directed towards Obama is because she thinks that she should have been in the White House instead of him.

Sarah wants to be The President without doing any of the actual hard work and study that's required to get there. I understand that her people failed to get the necessary permit for the rally in New Hampshire and it had to be arranged at the last minute. Her theatrics regarding Christine O'Donnell as a rival in Iowa showed how disorganized and unprofessional both she and her staff are. 71% of Republicans don't want Sarah to run. Karl Rove and Dick Cheney have been very vocal about her being a distraction, not a serious candidate. Yet, Sarah acts like the Glenn Close character in "Fatal Attraction," saying, "I will not be ignored!"

Sarah won't make a formal announcement until the end of the month. If there were signs of a serious candidacy, Fox would have had to let her go. She's not that big an attraction for them any more. Sarah is not going to collect a bigger following by dragging out the wait for announcement until the end of the month. Maybe she waiting to see what is in Joe's book. Maybe she is negotiating with her backers behind the scenes, hoping to convince them that this time she will stay on message and she won't go rouge. Maybe she is just waiting for God to push the door open for her. Maybe she is hoping that the separate Tea Party groups will all have a come-together-moment and pick Sarah as their Queen and Third Party candidate. Whatever she is waiting for, her act is getting tiresome, predicable and it is wearing thin. I don't think that she can keep up the tease for one more month.

It is a testament to how much of a turn off Sarah Palin is that, despite unprecedented media efforts to portray her as the most influential politician in the GOP, she cannot draw a crowd. This woman gets 24/7 coverage. We are talking hundreds of millions of dollars worth of free publicity at this point. And she still cannot draw a crowd.

was just perusing julian russell's photography blog, and even though $he's looked it for quite along time now, palin's a fukin' has been, even with the $kank hooker shoes and new multi colored toenails (talons ?)

....does look like though $he's chewed the shards of skanky dead flesh off her toes

I happened to be watching CNN when they cut away from a report about the Texas wildfires to run her speech in its entirety, which blew my mind. Some non-politician gives a speech to 600 people and you cut away from a story about a natural disaster to show the entire speech? WTF?

Found on C4P...Oh please Gryphen find a way to make this a headline. Her head would pop right off...lol

You know I really loved it when Sarah said "Polls are for strippers and cross country skiers"

Because you know without strong poles strippers and skiers would fall flat on their faces.

As much as she would like to pretend that her weak "poles" don't matter for the job at hand she is just denying the inevitable face plant. I hope it doesn't hurt too much.

And if you want an example of real crowd size and crowd diversity lets compare.
Palin Labor Day- the video is my favorite
    http://www.slate.com/blogs/wei...
Obama Labor Day- Now thats a crowd
    http://theobamadiary.com/2011/...

It might be fun to play find the black person on Palin's day.

And before you say but but Obamas polls are down too... yes it is true, but he still beats all the republican candidates and frankly wipes the floor with Palin. But she's right that her poll numbers don't matter because she's not running anyway, I think she knows when to get down from the pole.

What I find strange with the 'cult' meet-up on Friday night, the speech in Iowa on Saturday and the one on Monday in NH -- the lack of security around her.

Think back of the many speeches she gave for fees and the book tour stops.

On the book tour stops -- remember how people were wanded and on some stops wanded multiple times and what even sounded like patdowns. Bag, purses were searched and in some places kept in an area until you were leaving.

Palin did the polar opposite this past weekend from the speaking tour and book tours.

Friday night - her and toad in a room - they may have been cult followers, but they were still strangers - no different than a book tour.

The shoes. I'm waiting for her to fall and sprain an ankle.

She really believes that she is still a perky beauty queen.

You were asking why there were no pat downs, SWAT teams, no bomb sniffing dog at her last several speeches? Because the venue was not paying for it and damn sure Sarah is not paying for it so security falls back onto Tawd Palin, mall cop.

Sarah's 15 minutes are just about up and the grifting money is not coming in like it used to. In other words the money well and Sarah just about dried up.

Even her teabagging followers now realizes Sarah Palin is a money pit and it is time for the teabaggers to cut their loses and stop paying for Trig's 24/7 nanny, Willow's home school teacher / probation officer and Tawd's special night stress reliving friends.

Sarah's day of living like Ivanna Trump are over.

Great point about the minimal security. They must realize no one is giving a d#*# where she goes or what she does.

  79. BAM! It just hit me like a ton of bricks. I can be Soo dense.

If Payliar even went so far as to HIRE some people in Iowa to make it LOOK like she MIGHT be running, well, yeah, that MAY mean more donations, maybe not.

But if she can tease, tease, tease- WITHOUT having to HIRE a SINGLE person (who would have to be paid via HER personal SARAHPAC slush fund), well, Granny Grifter likes that a LOT MORE!

Fuck those losers! She knows the jig is TOTALLY up when she says she's not running. (Yes, there will always be Payliar-brown-nosers. But the Majority of $$ will dry up).

She is not going to spend a SINGLE, NICKEL on a race she has NO intention of running.

    That's it, pure and simple.

I really do believe she may be one of the cheapest people Ever!

Hahahaha the all-white, obese, senior-citizen men in that video look to be about to deliver a baby a la Sarah's Gusty picture. There is alot of self hate in that video. How many people weigh under 200 pounds in that video? This country is dying from obesity and ignorance.

Tawd looks a little pissed off.

I'm guessing he is worried that he is going to have to get a job again and that he burned his bridges on the North Slope when he passed on confidential information while he worked there.

What self-respecting runner would put on those disfiguring torture items that throw off your joints and hip angle. Sorry, When I work out HARD, there is no way I'm going to be putting clodhopper stilts like that on my rubbery legs the next day. Methinks this pints to a non-runner or at least a non-runner the day before

Sarah vs. Sarah, totally agree, and in fact, I've pointed out before that the fact those two people in Iowa are running around on her behalf unpaid ISN'T a testament to how wonderful she is. It shows how CHEAP she is to exploit these people.
