From my heart to yours, thank you.

I felt that my first post of the say should be hearty THANK YOU for all of you who donated money to my Pay Pal account yesterday.

As you know it was not my idea that Tuesday be a day to make donations to this blog, nor could I imagine ever asking.  But that does not mean it was not greatly appreciated.

Your generosity, and kind messages attached to the payments, were VERY kind, and it made me feel more than a little humble.

I would like you to know that I will not be spending the extra cash on loose women and fast cars. I will instead be spending the money on loose cars and fast women.

Obviously I am joking, mostly because my daughter can smell money for a thousand miles away and will undoubtedly come up with some emergency that can only be solved by emptying my bank account.

I know what you are thinking, "Can't you say no?'

Nope I cannot.

It turns out I love that little pain in the ass, who shoots me her mother's look when I am correcting her, and can NEVER SEEM TO GET HER DIRTY DISHES INTO THE DISHWASHER, too much to ever deny her anything.

Perhaps you would like to know that your generosity, and the money earned from Google ads, in the past have helped to:
  • Purchase her a new transmission when her old one fell out of her motor-home on the way up here from Georgia.
  • Purchase a ratty old couch that she could plop in the middle of my living room.
  • Buy a truck for $500 that I thought would only last the summer, but which she is still driving a year later.
  • Buy her a new Apple computer when her old one went belly up.
  • Pay for her wisdom teeth to be pulled when she was in too much pain to even get out of bed.
  • Purchase a Queen size bed because "I'm a grown woman Dad, I can't sleep in a twin bed anymore!"
  • Buy her a new I-Pad for "her work."
  • And pay for her gas when she was in between movie and TV gigs.
And believe me, even though I might complain all the time occasionally, I could not have thought of a better way to have spent any of that money. (Though I might have at least enjoyed SHOPPING for fast women.)

Anyhow I greatly appreciate that your generosity has allowed me to be the hero in my daughter's life when she desperately needed one. I don't think I could have managed it on just my salary.

Merry Christmas Angel!
So thank you again, and I hope I continue to provide entertainment, humor, and important factual information for many years to some.

Namaste my friends.

Love you Gryphen! Thank you for all you do.

For a long time now, yours is the first site I visit in the morning and the last at night. You replaced HuffPo long ago. You never disappoint, and I'm often laughing out loud or exclaiming in agreement at what you've written. You truly are very talented, and a joy.

Thanks. And as they say here in the South, (and in my opinion open to your own interpretation) Have a blessed day.

When I think of all the time I spend on this website, sending you a little somethin seems only right. Thank you to the poster who came up with the idea, and thank you, Jesse, for enlightening me, makin me laugh, and sometimes making a little tear slip through too. You da man!

  5. Gryphen, I'm gratified to know that there are so many who appreciate the MOUNTAINS of time you spend on this blog, keeping us informed and providing what seems, most times, the only link to sanity. If our national Press isn't up to the job, then we are lucky to have citizen journalists like you. Day in, day out, you keep the pressure on and I know it's making a difference.

How does one eat an elephant? One bite at a time!

Taking care of family is important: it feeds our soul in ways that a spending money on ourselves does not. If you didn't spend all your free time on this blog, you'd probably be working another job anyway to help your daughter out. This way is a win-win for all of us!

    Thank YOU!

Gryph, what a sweetly touching post..as they all are when Daddy's Baby Girl is mentioned!

Thank you for allowing me to do my little fundraising project. I really hope you felt the love that so many wanted to express with "the perfect gift"..you know, the one that's the right color and always fits ;o)

Thank you again to everyone who donated. If you felt like donating $2 a week or $5 a month or some type of recurring small donation, I'm sure that would be welcome and appreciated too.

But for now, I'm done with "Two For Tuesday". Although I do think around the holidays a "five for Friday" wouldn't necessarily be completely out of place.. ;o)

As the G man says, namaste friends. I may not meet Gryphen until we're both begging St. Peter to PLEASE!! Let us IN!!!!, but I sure appreciate him and kind acts on his behalf.

Thank you for all you do. We're glad the contributions helped though it may never be equal in worth to the service you provide.

We also hope your daughter realizes how good a father you are, and treat with the respect and consideration you deserve.

  9. It is us that thank you Gryphen. I have always enjoyed your heart warming anecdotes. It brings me back to a serene state of mind. There is nothing more gratfying to me than to hear a father bonding with their daughter (children). I am a father of three girls myself.

After saying that, I believe you will have your loyal readers with you for sometime longer. We have Mrs Palin suggesting a "nonconventional" run for the presidency. So, now she has until November to declare, per her Hannity appearance. And thus, we will still suffer your lovable trolls as well.

Glad to see that people kicked in Gryphen.

You spread your 'wealth' with the whole world, in time, effort, persistence and balls.

Keep on keeping on. The polish on that fantastical turd Sarah Palin (et. al.,) is finally starting to wear.

I cannot even begin to say how much angst I would feel on a daily basis without this blog to keep me from being sick to my stomach about the way our media and our politics have changed.

Thank goodness you got your daughter out of Georgia ! The state of my Maternal heritage has become the despot of the southeast, Admittedly I still lease land there for a deer/turkey/hog hunting club, But would never allow myself or my two daughters 28 & 23 to live there, My poor departed loved ones must be rolling in their graves !

Once again, a post about your daughter has brought tears to my eyes. My daughter is 4 ("and a half" as she reminds everyone) and I can only hope to aspire to be as wonderful a parent as you seem to be. Thank you for sharing this part of your world (the other part gets so tedious and sometimes downright depressing...that would be the SP part).
    Namaste to you as well.

Sorry, I just read the comment from the poster about not reading HuffPo any longer. And I have to say DITTO!!! I used to have that as my go-to page for the 411 on SP, but haven't visited the site in approx 6 months. I am constantly refreshing your page hoping for a new post...yours is my go-to page now. Thanks!!

Great writing - informative, FUNNY, stimulates the intellect, and great links to other political sites to stay up-to-date. The only downside is you can easily become addicted to The Immoral Minority! Well worth donating to Gryphen for all the work he does and the BS he has to put up with in order to get the truth out! I hope to do more in the future, as I no longer rely on the MSM (TV, Cable, or print) for the news - I consider this a good investment.

You have a beautiful daughter, Gryphen, and I am so glad you were able to get her the great computer.

As a parent of three wonderful children.. I find myself kicking in for 2/3rds or so of the cost of their new computer and inheriting their old one myself.

She must be so very proud of yourself, of course..

    Happy days.. :)

Hi there. It's "me again", as I see I've been dubbed.

I just wanted to answer your question--no, I have not contacted Gryphen yet. I have an early lunch meeting with an attorney today because I just want to make sure I can't get in trouble for anything I'm planning to share with Gryphen should he choose to publish it. I am reasonably sure based upon my own research that I'm in the clear on MOST of it. But since we all know how vindictive Sarah can be, I just want to make SURE I stay within the bounds of absolute legal propriety.

Sarah is on the brink these days, if her spastic bam-bam-bam emails are an indication. She's barking orders and obviously has learned NOTHING...she's trying to get people to write fake bad reviews of Joe's book.

She thinks it's actually a victory that Brad's article was "only" published in an online magazine. She was worried it would be printed in a "real magazine". I think she is trying to make her little circle believe she's not too affected by it...but she is running scared. I know she has made more inquiries about getting a fake birth certificate and she has talked to Parnell about getting in front of the story--releasing the truth on her own terms and having her base perceive her as a martyr.

BUT...Parnell rightly says "it's those damn speeches" and Going Rogue--once you accept millions of dollars for telling a story that's nothing but fantastical lies...martyrdom is pretty much out of the picture.

Sarah is still under pressure to produce Trig for a photo op. Even her staunchest supporters are asking why Trig hasn't been seen in SO long...when he USED to be paraded about like he was sponsored by Macy's. I'm interested to see how she will respond to the mounting pressure. I wouldn't be surprised if she fakes or stages a photo op with a different child. Not just because Trig seems to loathe her and won't allow her to hold or hug him, but because he is getting very chubby (NOT the word Sarah used about her "gift from God") and she thinks people will say she must not feed him healthy food or say she's a bad mother. Ship, meet sailed.

I just wanted to provide that little update. Off to get ready for my meeting with legal eagle.

Let me add my thanks, Gryph (and I did it monetarily last night). IM has become my blog of choice. It's the first thing I look at in the morning and I have several tabs open in Safari where I keep refreshing the different threads that I'm following. I'm glad that all of us could do a little something for you.

Hi It'smeagain, Laura Novak had a wonderful blog post a few days back indicating that all this "wild ride" nonsense and passing trig off as her own has to do with insurance coverage and not some right to life political "cred". This is the most reasonable explanation that I've ever heard for all this so far, but sure puts her in line for an insurance fraud investigation. I'm wondering if you had read this and does this jibe with the what you know from your inside source? Or is she truly callous enough to actually try to gain political points by "buying" a DS baby?

Thanks, "It's me again." It's hard to find where you post, unless you are trying to hide it from Sarah. I think that it will unnerve her more if you post your comments on IM's most recent post.

With Levi out there promoting his book, he raises some interesting questions:
Are he and Bristol the parents of Trig?
Bristol said that she prayed that Levi wasn't the father of Tripp. How many other possibilities are there for "father of Tripp"?
Levi's descriptions of the birth of Tripp is too good to be true. For that matter, his claiming that he and Bristol wanted to get pregnant while they were both unmarried teens in high school is not very believable either. Most guys in high school do not want to get a girl pregnant, not the other way around. Any comments will be appreciated.
Do you want to comment on the rumors regarding Track and Curtis Menard? Has Todd ever asked Sarah for DNA tests?
I've got a million more. I appreciate anything that you want to share with us. Keep writing.

  43. Thanks for your latest comment, "me again."

You mention the birth certificate issue. Trig Palin is listed on the Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend rolls. From what I understand, participation in the fund requires the submission of a birth certificate.

Can you tell us how Trig Palin came to be added to the PFD if he doesn't have a valid birth certificate?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Anonymous5:54 AM

    @ Venefica Nigra,

Anon never said that there wasn't a valid BC, but rather, that the valid BC has the "wrong" birthdate and parents to fit SP's narrative.
