I have to take Tucker's side on this. I never really could figure out what Greta was complaining about other than Tucker quoting Tyson. Tucker is a worm but he can argue like hell.

Greta picked up a few pointers from the quitter queen, I see:
--Take your stupid and ill-informed opinions and "shove em down his throat."
--Never, ever admit you are wrong.
--Claim sexism, constantly.
--Pretend to be offended by something (i.e., MILF, which, face it, is now part of our vernacular like WTF?) that secretly gives you a huge narcissistic high.
--Self modulate this.
He sounded completely sane and she sounded like a delusion fool.

ReplyDeleteNot that I'm a fan of either of them or fux news, but Tucker has my back in this fight. He wasn't advocating violence against women, he was merely quoting what Tyson said to showcase what horrible things Tyson was saying. I don't know how Greta misinterpreted that.
greta's blog commenters seem to think that tucker was right. i went back and read her April interview with tyson - tucker's point is valid - she asked only softball questions and now she is suddenly horrified by mike tyson? she should read her interview with him again, maybe the pigeon talk will calm her down a little. also, too, she looks like she knows she's wrong.....

ReplyDeleteI just watched Joe's interview with Chris Matthews. It was short but very good and Matthews did not interrupt him. At the end of the interview Matthews said that it DID matter what the real Sarah was like. Matthews thinks she will put her support behind Perry and influence politics through him. That is why she matters.

O/T: The Chris Matthews interview with Joe went great! (Big sigh of relief.) Chris actually allowed McGinniss to respond to the questions and focussed, not on the "lurid" tidbits in the book, but on the very ugly nature of Sarah herself and the hatred she stirs up in her followers towards any detractors. ReplyDeleteYou know, years ago I had a lot of respect for Greta. I was even very unhappy at other people who were so critical of her massive reconstructive face surgery. However, I hope she was able to sue that surgery as he majorly fucked up her face. She looks like the victim of a horrible accident and this was the best they could do piecing her back together. Makes you wonder what demon inside her made her do this to herself.
I don't ever watch fixed news, so haven't seen her for a while, other than when someone posts one of her increasingly pandering interviews with Sarah. She never asks questions with any validity. I have read that her husband is very enamored by Sarah, a real "panty sniffer". That has to be hard for Greta too.
Sad to see a once respected news person reduced to such a mockery of her former self.

ReplyDeleteHe did a great job of painting Sarah as the small-minded, religiously delusional, unqualified Fraud That Should Have Never Been Foisted on the US Populace.
I think the most chilling part of the book was the Zombie Rat description. Sarah's relationships really do define her character almost as much as what she does.
The Babygate Chapter was far more definitive than I expected.
After a day of reading I eagerly went online to see what news outlets had picked it up. After all, it's bigger than Rice, bigger than snorting coke off an oil drum.
I was afraid I'd not find any mention and my fears were confirmed. I do not think this will be discussed now, not even in light of the author's credentials and power in the publishing world. The media will turn a blind eye to it, because in order to highlight this chapter it would mean answering the question that - while ever present in the book - screams loudest in that one chapter: Where Was The Media Scrutiny?
Palin looks bad in this book. She comes across as an incompetent poser unwilling to do her job. The media comes out looking the same way.

Me thinks Greta was taking Carlson to the woodshed because his article would generate negative publicity for $aint $arah. He violated the 11th commandment. If Carlson's true intent was to discredit Tyson all he accomplished was to shine a big,bad spotlight on the Heath-Rice affair. Greta's confrontation just gave the affair more exposure whereas if both of them just didn't say anything, then the Faux lemmings wouldn't be any wiser. Oh how rich!

ReplyDeleteAs a woman, I wasn't offended by what Tyson said, crude as it was. Actually I was impressed at how effectively he turned Palin into a joke for two demographic groups who previously may have not paid much attention to her: sports lovers and the black community.

I kind of feel sorry for Greta. Sarah would never have let a younger, prettier, smarter, more outgoing woman share the spotlight with her. Greta the Sour Puss, was the perfect interviewer. Mentioning this previous failure of Greta to attack Tyson exposes her general 'interviewing' style with her 'friends'. Last time Tyson was on he was a 'friend'. Greta is a fame whore pimpin the Palins every chance she and her hubby get. So now Mike Tyson is on her d list. I doubt he cares. She should have Mike Tyson on to tell him off if she is so offended by what he said about Palin. That would be another fun clip to watch.

ReplyDeleteShe was actually quite pretty, in a girl next door kind of way. She was the legal commentator for the OJ trial, and had a sweet, refreshing look about her. It is sad. But I also thought she was a kind, gentle person. Either the botox got to her brain too, or Fox corrupted her, or she was always like that and the mild mannered, sweet and smart thing was just an act.
Sad to see someone butcher their face like that and completely lose what they had.
