Bristol Palin seemed to have a lot on her mind today as she walked to a cafe in West Hollywood with her adorable son.
But then the 20-year-old must be preoccupied at the moment, considering reports that her parents' marriage is breaking down at the same time as her ex Levi Johnston, 21, promotes a book about his time with the family.
Luckily, the single mother has her adorable two-year-old Tripp to divert her mind from family scandals.
I have to imagine that the texts going back and forth between Sarah and Bristol are profanity filled rants, essentially calling Joe and Levi every name in the book and wishing them a long painful death.
Of course from my perspective it's all sunshine and rainbows.
For crying out loud, the pacifier, STILL??? What, is she afraid Tripp will start talking to the lamestream media?

It's a shame that this young woman is so unhappy looking. First, she didn't ask to have to bring up her siblings, or to have to endure being the daughter of a narcissistic selfish mother and father.
ReplyDeleteShe had no role models. Maybe her aunts, but they were saddled with their own families. If we are to believe the stories, Bristol was farmed out to friends and relatives while her mom and dad were scheming their grifting career. She had little nurturing, mothering, then was responsible for her younger siblings. When I see that sad look on her face, I really feel for her.
No matter how I disagree with her mom's agenda and behavior, I have total sympathy for those children. And especially for Bristol. I'd like to give her a big hug and tell her that Jesus does indeed love her. I don't care how she's behaved, what does one expect with her background. I wish the best for Bristol and hope she finds that true love that endures and that she sees the light and gets away from the dysfunction of her parents.
If I had thick calves like that I sure wouldn't wear the Daisy Dukes with the camel toe. Ugh. Who taught these two how to dress like tramps? :)

I didn't read either of Sarah's books or Bristol's book but I read enough reviews and excerpts from them to know that they were poorly written and botched together lies especially about Levi. Levi's book was a good read. I'm sure he didn't reveal a lot of things he could have said about the Sarah or Todd. But he kept it classy. I wasn't 10 pages into it before I thought "Levi's writing this for Tripp".

ReplyDeleteA child of almost three usually still has thick legs and moves like a toddler (arms mirroring legs for balance.) From the pictures, it looks like Tripp is far beyond his stated age. Someone who is an expert in child development could offer a better assessment. The pacifier is definitely wrong, wrong, wrong. He could develop a nasty situation like "nursing bottle mouth" if he is still on the bottle, which the pacifier may indicate. Saw it myself when I was a nanny to kids whose mother was as negligent as Sarah Palin.

Based on child development, let's give Tripp a break on the pacifier. #1 - Young children are known to regress in their behaviors when a new sibling joins the family. Whether it's a God brother or a brother, someone new has apparently arrived in Tripp's little world.

Given the God son and the moves from Alaska to AZ to Alaska to LA, it would seem that predictability isn't something that Tripp would have much experience with. If the pacifier provides him comfort in the world he lives in, it seems to be a reasonable, short time coping solution. He really doesn't have many other fallback options.
Who's going to pay for the orthodontist that will certainly be needed because of the inability of this kid's Mom to give up the pacifier?

ReplyDeleteAs a mom of four kids who grew up in AK, who are grown-up with families now, who have traveled and lived in other places (SF, Hawaii, NC, NM and more), they have settled back in AK. They go to Seattle, Chicago etc. for concerts and fun. HOWEVER, they love Alaska the best. One of the many sad things that SP did to her children, is deprived them of being able to live a decent, carefree life in their home state. I wouldn't doubt that Bristol is homesick for the state.

Bristol, it is not to late to make some changes and get yourself some real peace of mind. Take your kids and your sister out of the public spotlight, get some therapy for yourself and find your own path. You will find real beauty, health, love and happiness.

I REALLY want to hear what Kathy Griffin has to say about all this. It sounded like Levi spilled a bunch of truth out to her when they connected for that awards show appearance, etc.

Could we PLEASE stop muddying the water with pet theories that are contradicted by photographic evidence? I know some people are just convinced that Trig + Tripp = twins, or that Tripp was born a year earlier and was stashed away. But we SAW Tripp as an infant, in several magazines: recognizably himself (he is a cute critter), and not a year older than claimed. Whether the birth date was fudged by a month or so is a different matter. But now we have a good picture of Bristol + Tripp, from which their heights can be measured. I estimate Tripp's height as 0.567 of Bristol's height in the photograph. Several sources on the Web tell me that Bristol is 65" tall. That makes Tripp nearly 37" tall. 37" is almost bang dead on the 50% isle for a boy who is 2yrs 9 mos. If he were nearly 4 at this height he would be falling off the bottom of the height curve. The Web tells me that Levi is 5'10": the formula for estimating a boy's adult height is to add 5" to the mother's height and average that with the father's height...which in this case gives us 5'10" for Tripp's expected adult height, which is almost bang dead-on the average adult male height. So at 2yrs 9 mos we would expect him to be, guess what, about 37" tall.

He has be drug all over the country having lived in numerous homes with numerous "father" figures and a mother who is constantly changing her looks. It's also hard when a new baby comes into your life and takes the attention (even if it's only in private). Like the other He is to be pitied, as he really doesn't stand a chance, does he? Losers surround him.

No, it is NOT normal for a child that is almost 3 to carry and suck on a pacifier all the time. And no one has said anything bad about Tripp, except that BECAUSE of his mothers inability to parent , he still has a pacifier.
Granted, Brisket grew up in a home with no parenting, but by age 20 she can change that. There are free childcare and development groups in almost every community across the country, there are books that she can hire someone to READ to her about parenting. Or she could hire professional nannies, instead of uneducated ones, to help teach her while they are caring for the children she has bothered to keep.
At this point, the pacifier is doing damage, physical damage to his teeth and his palate.

Granted she has on a rather mismatched outfit - long sleeved top that don't match her shorts. But - honestly I think many of you are being unfair about her figure. I have seen her legs mentioned several times - I don't see anything wrong with them. She is not a slender girl that is for sure, but she does not look over weight.

Looking at that photo, if Bristol is 5"6 then comparing Tripp's height he is about 40 inches tall. Which is above the 95 percentile on the cdc growth charts for a 33 month old. So Tripp is taller than more than 95% of kids his age in America, surprising seeing as Bristol and Levi are only average height.

I realize that Sarah Palin has the tendency to bring out the worst in everyone, but people, please: let's try to be a little more resistant to that than her supporters are. I promise you, in the long run it will serve us well to show more restraint than Palin and her bots do when it comes to slinging mud.
I think in the whole scope of things, sucking on a pacifier is going to be the least of Trips problems. Some kids have a security object. Pacifier, blanket, or toy. It's a developmental thing. It makes him feel good, secure, comforted. Let him have it.

That tells me that people can skew polls to reflect a certain narrative by not only limiting the number of respondents but also by selectiveness as to whom they want the respondents to be. Some Palinbots are crowing over this poll, apparently not taking into account that if she actually ran, any advantage from not running would quickly evaporate. Palin herself would see to that The idea that anyone, anywhere, still regards Palin as presidential material is a sad commentary on the willful ignorance her fans share with her.

I wouldn't form any conclusions from the look on Bristol's face in two shots of her. They could have been selected by someone who wants to show her frowning.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I get from those pictures that could be of some significance is the plug in Tripp's face. I would be considering the age of the kid and wondering how long she's going to let him have it. I would also be considering the fact that well balanced children don't need it when they reach the age of Tripp. If a child needs it much longer, or a parent lets the child have it much longer then it becomes a problem that is noticable.
Otherwise, there are no conclusions to be drawn about the emotional wellbeing of either the child or the mother. Not yet anyway.
Palin uses her children and grandchildren as PR props. Bristol living with two black guys was supposed to soften the image of the Palin being a Tea Party racist. Well, that all changed with Joe’s book. The Glen Rice story and the ‘fetish for black men’ thing changes the optics of Bristol’s arraignment. She now comes off as being more white trash than ever. The weight gain, shorts and pacifier in the mouth of a kid that looks like he could be starting kindergarten next year doesn't help.

Most kids as they get older - like this! - only still need a comfort object like a pacifier when they are tired, sick or stressed. When they are out and about, seeing new surroundings, engaged with the mom or care-giver present, they have other, better, more interesting things to do. It's their job at this age. So is he tires? Stressed? Sick? Or just ignored, neglected, and dragged around?

At the risk of ticking off some longtime members, I'd like to add my own thoughts to the "I feel sorry for Bristol" camp. If what we've known all along, that Sarah can't/won't take care of her children and that Bristol was the "mother figure," then the allegation that she (Bristol) got seriously p/o'd when she found out her mother was pregnant again --it does make sense. Regardless of whether her mother *was* actually pregnant.
ReplyDeleteHere is a teen who has been basically mother figure to Piper and to a lesser extent, Willow, for years-- I can absolutely see her fearing that she would be "mothering that duck" for the next untold number of years. She sees pregnancy as her exit strategy. With her own baby to take care of, Sarah would be forced to mother her two youngest children, herself. I think she (Bristol) stopped taking bc when she heard the "news" not after Trig "arrived."
Speaking from a similar experience (as I'll explain later), maybe having Willow living with Bristol, away from the Palin nightmare, could very well be a way of healing for those girls.
Bristol should insist that Willow finish her high school education someway or another. I did so with my younger sister. It was a struggle but we made it. My mother refused to grant me temporary custody because she was claiming my sis on her taxes. So we (myself, my infant and my younger sister) struggled financially. I couldn't even get temporary food stamps for her because I had no custodial rights.
Enrolling her (my sister) in school wasn't a problem, but when I had to write an excuse for her to miss school, all hell broke loose. I was 18 and she was 15, I had no proof of custody and was told point blank that we didn't even look like sisters. We finally got that worked out and she finished school a year behind her classmates. My sister has gone on and made something of herself. We are very close. So close that she sends *me* cards on Mother's day ;-)
I say, give those girls a few years away from their dysfunctional environment. Let them find their way. Right now they're in survival mode. Education may not be important to them at this point, but it may become so in the future. You never know.

ReplyDeleteAnd for those wondering about the inconsistencies in Levi's book and his accounts on TV, have you never considered that he may have a stake in Sarah's deception, especially if he is the father of Trig? He knows he can't monetarily take care of Trig -- he can barely take care of Tripp! And if anon 'me again' is right, there has been no formal adoption. Which means that legally he is responsible for Trig's care. If Sarah is paying for it, he has every incentive to keep his mouth shut, and to support her lies.

Palin and his partner Eric Quam have already signed up to race in the 2012 Iron Dog Race. The 2,000-mile race, starting in Big Lake with a halfway stop in Nome and finishing in Fairbanks, is the world's longest snowmachine race and requires a substantial amount of training.
The race starts this year on Feb. 19. That would mean Palin would probably begin training in December, and unless there's some sort of frigid, vast hinterland sans fences in the Lower 48 where he and his partner can run their Arctic Cats, it means that he's likely stuck in Alaska for a good part of the winter.
This could provide another clue as to whether or not Sarah Palin is planning to run for president. If she does, she'll be without her chief helpmate during the heat of the presidential primary. Four states have Republican primaries and caucuses in February.
To the several people (trolls?) who say the posts here are horrible. I suggest you go and read on any pro palin site. They are full of the most egregious comments about President Obama and they are frightening. I will not even repeat any of them but I will tell you that what we say here is nothing in comparison. If anyone remembers the movie "Deliverance", those are the kind of comments you see. Those are the kind of people who are her base.

Bristol and Willow aren't really all that fat yet. But they have two possible strikes against them that they are going to have to deal with. One possible is that they have never been raised to eat healthy foods and probably don't have the slightest idea on how to steam vegetables or eat lean meats. It's most likely always been junk like hot dogs and hamburgers and lots of dinners at McD's. Then the other strike that could work against them is the fact that being half indian brings with it genes that are prone to being overweight.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck girls but I see you both as slovenly porkers within a few years. Especially Bristol who obviously is emotionally burdened to go along with it. As we were so lucky to see as she went through the DWTS weight fiasco.

Holyyyyy SHIT. sorry if this is old news, but I have never seen this before. I was searching for recent pics of Trig on Flickr and I came across this. How could we (I at least) have missed that Bristol wore the "Gusty" belly at the RNC! I always had just thought they stuffed her with towels or whatever was handy. But this completely a hundred % convinces me and now that I see it, it looks so obvious
