Levi Johnston's book. Deer in the Headlights, or Boy Trapped Under Sarah Palin's Bus Tire? Part Two.

Bristol's odd, and very politically convenient, pregnancy with Tripp Johnston.

Taking up where we left of in the first part of my review of Levi's book, Trig has just arrived, and (pg. 53) Levi finally confirms what Sadie and her mother have been saying all along, that Bristol WANTED to get pregnant:

"I'm the one," Bristol said, "who should be having a baby. Not Sarah."

"Bristol looked at me. "Let's get pregnant."

So for all of those haters out there who called Sadie names and ridiculed her for "spreading false stories about poor Bristol," this one's for you!

On pg. 54 Levi says:

As Sarah slipped into her old routine, back and forth to Anchorage, with an occasional trip to Juneau, the furor about Trig--was Bristol the real mommy?--continued.  We pretty much ignored it; it was too crazy for words.

"Too crazy for words?" Remember this phrase when we get to the last post on this book, it will prove interesting.

On pg. 55 Levi asks Bristol the following:

Are you pregnant? I asked her over the phone.

No.

Are you lying?

No. She shot back. I'm not fucking lying.

Fine I told her. But I knew.

He then goes on to say that having a baby was all she had talked about since Trig had arrived TWO WEEKS BEFORE!

This would have been less than eight months before Tripp was born on December 27, and it was announced that his due date was supposed to be about ten days earlier than that by the Palin family. So if Levi is correct that means that the Palin's absolutely moved the pregnancy up in order to make it inconceivable that Bristol could be Trig's mother AND also be ready to give birth in mid December.

It is only one page later that Levi says Bristol confirmed her pregnancy by showing him, you guessed it, "one of these Clearblue plastic pregnancy tests." (Is that the only brand they sell in Wasilla?)

However Bristol apparently has NO plans to tell her mother, claiming; "My mom didn't tell me she was pregnant, did she? Why should I tell her?"

However one page later the situation is taken out of their hands when Willow, who apparently finds pregnancy tests with the accuracy of a hog rooting out truffles, finds the test strip in Bristol's purse.

So Levi, Bristol, and the famous supportive friend, who Levi now reveals to be Sammy Becker, head on over to the Palin house to break the news.

Levi claims that this very uncomfortable conversation came the day after his birthday.

So essentially it was the day AFTER this picture was taken.

There is really nothing new revealed in Levi's version of this exchange except he claims that later Bristol admitted that she had not been taking her birth control pills, which essentially makes it sound as if our little "abstinence only" spokesperson tricked her boyfriend into knocking her up.

I wonder how much somebody gets paid for giving a speech about THAT to a room full of Christian women?

Okay now for the most bizarre part of Levi's version of Bristol's pregnancy story.

On pg. 60 Levi says that he and Bristol were in Rebirth Tattoo parlor, and while Levi was getting Bristol's name tattooed on his finger (So he would have something to regret in a few months), Bristol's phone rings. Levi reports the following exchange:

"No, Sarah," she said. "That won't be happening."

"No, Levi and I want this baby. We are not giving it to you. Never."

I could hear her mother's voice. She was saying that she and Todd would be adopting our baby to avoid a scandal.

"No, No, No." Bristol's forehead was a series of crinkly lines. "No. nope. I don't care. No."

"I'm worried," Sarah said to Bristol, "about you."

She'd already told her attorney, Thomas Van Flein, to draw up papers.

Okay now according to Levi this conversation happened only a week after Sammy Becker broke the news that Bristol was pregnant.  In other words only about three weeks after Trig arrived. [Correction. It appears from Levi's Vanity Fair article that this conversation happened in August. As I mentioned before Levi's book is poorly written, and this passage was not at all clear. Apparently the "week later" it references, was a week after Sadie, Sherry, and Sarah went to the Winona Judd concert, NOT a week after they broke the pregnancy news to Sarah.]

Now riddle me this Batman.  How does adopting Tripp protect Bristol from scandalous talk? Especially if many people were still pretty sure that she was the real mother of Trig?

Sarah might be able to trick people into believing that she gave birth to ONE baby but certainly not TWO! And what about the VP nomination that Sarah was angling for at that same time?

No, nothing about the timeline of this conversation makes sense.

Even if Sarah were offering to adopt Tripp, but NOT fake another pregnancy, it would do NOTHING to keep people from believing it was Bristol's child. Of course, as we all know, Sarah was soon to throw Bristol under the bus to keep people from asking to see Trig's birth certificate anyhow.

As it turned out Bristol's pregnancy was the very thing that Sarah needed to get the press off her back, and to give the public something new and shiny to distract them, a teen pregnancy!

But the crazy thing about Bristol's pregnancy is that it is almost as odd as her mother's.

For instance THIS is how Bristol looked in July of 2008. (Photo courtesy of Dennis Zaki.)

According to Levi's timeline this should only be Bristol's second month of pregnancy, so she looks about right. However less than seven weeks later, at the RNC on September 3rd, Bristol looked like THIS:

You know as a middle aged man I feel very uncomfortable staring at a young woman's chest, but seriously, WTF?

I think it is fairly clear that Bristol had some help in making her pregnancy look further along than it actually was.

(Here is what Audrey had to say about this back in August 2009)

Which makes sense, because essentially Sarah was using her daughter as a living breathing subsitute for Trig's birth certificate. Apparently padding up her daughter to look like the Michelin Man in front of millions of Americans was less humiliating than having to produce a child's birth certificate.

Of course the real reason to go this route was because IT was possible, and the other was NOT!

After the election the Palins came home to Wasilla and suddenly Levi is trapped in a house of anger and hostility.

Sarah is in a constant rage toward Obama, who she believes stole the election.

From pg. 82:

She said Obama cheated to win. She talked as it they were the only two running. Not Biden, not McCain. Sarah and Barack, in hand-to-hand combat.

Levi had also once asked what Sarah thought a Vice President does exactly:

Take over--she had smiled--when the president dies. (Are the hairs on the back of YOUR neck standing up? Yeah, me too!)

Fortunately for ALL Americans Palin never got THAT close to the White House, and after the political campaign was over, and Sarah no longer needed to fake a happy little family for the knuckledraggers, she decided that Bristol would be better off as a single teen mother, and started trying to pry the teens apart.

From pg. 83:

Things went from bad to worse. Bristol started saying that her mom wanted her to dump me. To my face, Sarah acted all nice.

Todd told Bristol that if she left me, he would buy her a brand new car. Bristol thought Sarah was making him say that.

Now even with all of that negativity Levi tried to stick it out, and did manage to keep it together and hang in there until December.

Now let me take you back a little to what was happening around this time on my blog, Regina's blog, Bree's blog, and Audrey's blog, and a few others as well.

We were constantly posing the question of,  "Where was Bristol's child?"  As we got past mid-December we started to point out that as we moved further from the announced due date and closer to January that Bristol being pregnant was losing it effectiveness as a reason why SHE could not be Trig's birth mother.

Now what is very interesting about Levi's story is that he claims Todd, who you will remember is offering Bristol a car to dump him, suddenly asks him to come along on a snowmachine trip up to the family's cabin. Levi feels comfortable doing so because, as Levi "writes" on pg 88:

Bristol wasn't due for another three weeks.

That's right! According to Levi, Bristol was supposed to give birth toward the end of January, NOT mid-December!

Now three weeks before the baby is due, but two weeks after the world expected the baby to arrive, Todd suggest that he and Levi take a little snowmachine trip. Not only that, but they also take Willow and Piper up there as well, leaving Bristol and Sarah behind.

Alone.

Together.

So now you have the entire Palin family, including Levi far away from Wasilla, leaving Bristol and her now panicky mother alone in the house.

Gee what could possibly go wrong?

At ten o'clock that night, the night of December 26th, Levi receives a call saying that Bristol is about to give birth, three weeks early, and just in time to keep those rumors about babygate off limits to the mainstream media.

He races back in plenty of time to witness the birth.  The very convenient, and perfectly timed birth.

The day that Tripp arrived Sadie was only allowed to visit her newborn nephew at the hospital (and yes it WAS Mat-Su Regional) for about a minute. And then she was summarily kicked out.

Sherry, who had to get permission from her parole officer to leave the house, had to wait until the next day to see the baby. She was ALSO only allowed to visit with little Tripp for a few minutes.

But the Palins did not really care about the feelings of the Johnston family, after all they had outlived their usefulness. Essentially Tripp's arrival signaled the beginning of Levi's departure. And in just over a week Bristol kicked him to the curb.

A few months later after trying unsuccessfully to spend time with his son, Levi was forced to go on national television in an effort to convince the Palins to let him see Tripp.

Oooh, I love this next part!  This is where I come into the picture, and things REALLY start to get interesting!

Team Levi, or the gang that could not (or would not) shoot straight!

Almost peed my pants again. It’s like loosing one of your senses, such as sight and developing a keen sense of hearing, lack of schooling has forced her to develop skills in the environment she finds herself in.

    Bristol calls her mother Sarah?

How much money did they pay Sammy Becker to dummy him up?

Bristol's phone rings. Levi reports the following exchange:

"No, Sarah," she said. "That won't be happening."

This dysfunctional exchange reveals that Bristol did not respect or look at Mama Grizzly Sarah as her mom! Most girls would of said "No mom".

  6. Thank you for the post. So, do you think Sarah had Bristol's membranes stripped? Or maybe she found some way of talking an MD into inducing three weeks early? That's pretty dangerous.

How do we know B didn't already have the baby already by September? Remember baby at Feb. GVS interview looked much larger than a two month old. Newborn pics of Tripp look like he was teeny tiny and couldn't have blossomed into such a bruiser in two months.

    Awaiting next post!

Damn! That last sentence pretty much slams the door in Sarah Palin's face at any chances that Sarah had of being on anybodies short list to become the 2012 Vice POTUS.

I don’t think anybody would be that insane to throw another HELL SARAH pass to try to get the trailer park votes knowing that in Sarah's sick mentally disturbed little mind she realizes that her only path to the presidency is through the death of the POTUS.

Isn't it at age 17 that a boy can go to jail for statutory rape on someone younger, even if it is consenual? If that's true, since Bristol was only 16 that may be the key to the whole family's silence.

So the lies uncovered so far:

Bristol was actually due in mid to late January, not December 18.

Bristol planned an early induction conveniently while Levi and the rest of the family was away.

Bristol was not 5+ months pregnant at the RNC.

    Bristols pregnancy wasn't an accident

What part I'd the most revealing about the massive fucked up dysfunction in the Bristol-Sarah relationship was the line about Bristol 's reaction to the Trig pregnancy. What 17 year old girl reacts that way to her mothers (alleged) pregnancy? Resentment about being tasked with taking care of said baby, yes, but WANTING to be pregnant herself? No way no how would I have ever even entertained the thought when I was seventeen! I was looking at colleges, repairing for the SAT, so I could get the hell out of mynparents house. What alternate universe does Bristol live in? Who thinks that way except for ill bred white trash? There is so much fucked-upness in that family it is unreal.

OK RANT OVER. Waiting for the paid fairy tale trolls, Bristroll, and Sarahtroll to wake up this morning.

Within months after John McCain announced that he had picked Sarah Palin to be his his vp pick, people were laughing and joking that McCain needs to get a food taster if he became POTUS because Sarah was putting out vibes that she was power hungry and could not be trusted....

So Johnny McCain, is this still funny to you and do you still endorse Sarah Palin to be POTUS or on anybodies VP short list?

Shouldn't Levi be wearing protective clothing to carry Trig, since he was a preemie?

Is that a NICU? That looks like a regular hospital room and it doesn't look like it's prepared to medically care for a preemie.

I'm guessing Trig, or whoever was the baby in the picture was not a preemie, at least not when the picture was taken.

  22. I have always been troubled with the idea that Bristol would have a baby with Downs Syndrome and then immediately get pregnant again...especially if she was going to have regular access to the baby and her parents were going to assume financial responsibility for raising the child.

I don't know a teen alive that wouldn't be scared to death of having another child with a disability.

But imagine if Bristol had given birth to a perfectly healthy baby and was forced to give it up for adoption.

Then imagine how angry she would be if mere weeks or months later her mother staged a pregnancy and brought in a special needs baby that the whole family would have to help care for...simply to further her political career.

I think Bristol would be furious and vengeful. She would be very motivated to have another baby ASAP.

I also think it's not important to prove that Bristol is Trig's mother. It is easier and more important to prove that Sarah is not.

Levi's book if filled with lies. He and Bristol didn't ever have a good relationship. In fact, they hardly knew each other and Bristol didn't even like him when she had sex with him over and over again. Before Levi came along and waved a magic wand to undermine Sarah's monumental parenting, Bristol was a Rhodes Scholar and donated her free time to caring for lepers. Bristol would never get pregnant on purpose because even though she loved babies, she didn't know exactly where they came from and anyway she was on birth control pills religiously, except when she forgot to take them for a month here and there. Levi is just using connection to Sarah Palin and being a teen parent to make money by appearing in magazines, being on tv, doing interviews, putting out a book, being on DWTS, doing a pro condom spot with The Situation, selling as many pictures of Tripp as possible, doing a reality tv show with her, I mean his, "friend" from DWTS. Um, and also, Bristol loved hanging out with friends in Juneau.

-beneath the photo of Sadie and Bristol, it reads shes 2 mos pregnant
-when the Palin family met Trig, Levi said Bristol, though not knowing at the time, was already carrying her own baby
-(btw Bristol IDd Sammy in her book)
-i don't understand this post and what's its supposed to do. It only adds to the general confusion

This is where his book gets weird. In earlier interviews, the Bristol tat happened in early Aug, as did that famous Frank Bailey "bristol is pregnant" phone call. It did not happen earlier.

Please explain why Bristol appears content with the world in Franks book (photo).

Sorry, I don't buy your post or Levis story.

Remember the photos Bristol posed for during the campaign? I'm guessing that was in Oct because she was pretty big. Remember the tarmac photos of her wearing a red shirt? Rounded belly.

The election night convenience store photo? Big.

Unless you're trying to say Bristol found out she was pregnant later that summer, I don't understand this post. But that would contradict reports of Bristol telling her friends she was pregnant in April.

(2) In the May tv interview the Benadryl-ed comatose Trigg on Bristol's lap looks way older than a few months. Ditto in the Greta interview -- was that a loaner baby?

Yes, if Levi's account is accurate (which it can't be, not 100%), SP let slip that one of her deep-background mentors had explained the plan to her: to off McCain ("natural causes," of course) at some point after the election so the Koch brothers would have their puppet in place and be POTUS.

But- he had to make himself look like a devoted dad and not a dumb teen who never thought hed be a father. That's the only interpretation of this for me.

Why does Levi sayy Sherry and Sadie saw Tripp at the same time? These little booboos give his fantasy tale away.

I will give you a slightly panicky Sarah as Bristol was her only way to prove Trig is a random adopted baby.

But imho Bristol looked as pregnant as they said and she grew normally. She was on trail a lot considering, and didn't feel ashamed. (Look not feel as I can't know how Bristol feels)

I do think it would have been better if they wouldn't have forced the two to marry then. That wasn't believable by any stretch. Levi looked like hed hardly seen Bristol before at many moments. That part of the RNC looked as staged as Piper and Sashas cutesu, votes winning smiles.

Oh Levi...teller of such lies...Is Levi ready then to admit he lied when he was interviewed in his driveway in October and told reporters his baby was due December 18th? Is Levi going to explain to his son how his mother and grandmother risked his life to cover for a lie? That's a pretty HUGE accusation there Levi. Levi is accusing MatSu Regional of possibly committing a crime. Forcing a woman to give birth 3 weeks early??? Well since apparently we missed the window of opportunity due to the statute of limitations on Sarah's MatSu lie -- there's still enuf time, if someone moves quickly enough to request an investigation into Tripp's delivery. And i'm sorry Gryph -- i know u think highly of sadie and sherry, but they aren't being truthful either. Have they ever even provided proof that Tripp was born on dec 27/28th? tell them to show u pics of Levi from nov 07-april 08 -- they wont, cuz they know they can't justify why levi looks so different, 2 weeks apart!!!

Also, I'm finding it hard to believe that in between the time that Trig was "born" (4/18/08) and the time they told Sarah/Todd (5/4/08) that Bristol was able to "get pregnant" and know that she was -- and Levi, why weren't you in school???? jesus god, what is wrong with all these people?!!

Exactly, and you know, if I thought Levi or his handlers were any smarter than your average rock, I'd think this was a very clever attempt to get around a gag order or threat by simply appearing to make revealing mistakes. As is, though, I think 6:11 is right; he just wasn't bright enough to tell consistent lies.

Too bad you immature h8trz spend your time commenting on a family you don't know. The Palins are happy, strong, and getting stronger with every post full of lies from Gryphen. No one who watched the TLC reality show, read Sarahs books, Saw Bristol on DWTS, and watched all their television interviews could possiblly make judgements. It's just immature, people, this I know.

Bristols BFF in Juneau was there when the happy family took Trig to Bounct Bears in Anchorafe for fun, love and cuddles. I don't know, but that ure sounds like they love their brother, I don't know.

  57. Anonymous7:05 AM

I still doubt Bristols ultimate decision to dump Levi was anyone's but her own. She wasn't exactly grieving post Tripp. Just the opposite actually.

Gryphen. Are you trying to prove Bristol didn't become pregnant until April or May? Because a jan due date puts conception in april. But Bristol was definitely telling friends she was pregnant in april hence those whs rumors sarah referenced in emails.

I think the oddities in the book can be chalked up to horrible memories on eveyones parts and bad writing and timelines. I mean, there was no excuse to get so many events wrong at any moment but these ghosts happened to do it at every turn.

I don't understand how this will help things. Bristol has her son. Sarah has her precious DS baby. Both the teens' stories have been told via them.

If people don't believe the nail in the coffin photo as proof of a faked prgnancy what makes you think a blogger writing out random, conflicting info will dent this? Fair and great question.

For levis story to work for him, he has to paint a picture of a disconnected family, something that really doesn't exist here. He forgets all the time Bristol spent away from him and with her family. These things are often "forgotten" in order to paint a desired picture.

Point: there are too many lies and huge conflicting sentences to put any stock in this. At least sanely and rationally.

  61. I did not say that Sherry and Sadie saw Tripp in the hospital on the same day. I say just the opposite.

Though I am interested in how an anonymous commenter knows that.

By the way Levi is not accusing anybody of inducing labor, it is MY observation that the timing and circumstances are suspect.

And yes I do realize that Levi has made contradictory statements about Bristol's pregnancy in the past. That is kind of the point of this post.

And believe me if you think things are confusing NOW, my next installments may very well cause you to lose sleep for weeks on end. It certainly did me.

There are so many lies that the birth stories and timelines would put top-rate detectives at a loss. I keep thinking that "The Mentalist" is needed here to sort out this mess.
I just have one question for moms out there: how soon after the birth of a baby does one go on birth control? It used to be that it was suggested that a woman wait six weeks after giving birth before engaging in sex. (Of course that wasn't always followed - hence "Irish Twins.") This whole birth control pill story does not add up to me. We have established that the Palins lie about everything, but how much of what Levi says is a lie - or an attempt to protect his son(s)?

I've come to realize that indeed God did answer Sarah's prayers and those of her "prayer warriors" all across the nation.

I truly believe in God and know he cares about everyone. He answered their prayers by allowing Sarah to be chosen as a failed VP nominee, to show foggy christians that HE, and only HE, decides. The door that was opened for Sarah, I believe, (if one is to believe what she's capable of doing) is for her and those like her to be used as examples of what the bible calls the the "wolves in sheep's clothing" in the last days.

Lying, cheating, using one's own flesh and blood to wickedly deceive and scheme is not privy to being "called".

This charade will help the nation in future elections to vet their candidates and not be bewitched by beauty, flirtation, and flattery.

And, this charade will teach foolish people who call themselves christian that they were really spellbound by this apostasy.

I'm not surprised they used levi for the election, as that's custom in politics. I'm shocked Bristol grew to somewhat liking Levi enough to marry him. Those two never had a great relationship and they know it.

Todd and sarahs opinion never changed. They tried to separate them in dec 07. And it worked for a spell. But come march, a baby lovin bristol needed a conttestant for babydaddy and levis the perfect, inferior male.

That is how I envision everything going down. And it makes sense.

Not sarah and levi. Not sadie and bristol. Its always been a problem between bristol and levi. They were in the dysfunctional relationship with no trust. I guess birth control as soon as you are back in action. Generally, nursing moms are less fertile than non-nursing moms while they are breastfeeding due to hormones.
Levi's story is all confused but I think he is just too stupid to stick to the script he has been paid to use. I don't think Tripp is his child at all, though he may have thought he was at first.
I can't wait to see what Gryphen's next installments (really, more than 1? You can't just spit it out?) say. I think a lot will be revealed. Sounds like more facts are coming to light as we speak, given his comment earlier on this thread.

So we know more about that NYC trip or Nov trip in 07?

There are many concrete events that contradict Levis words, including his own past words.

    According to the book:
-Bristol was 2 mos pregnant on sadies prom night
-bristol was pregnant on apr but didn't know it
-bristol couldn't stop talking abt a baby having trig arrived (anotice he didn't say she couldn't stop talking about getting pregnant)
-his dealing with the may 3rd meeting was off timeline wise.
    -that summers timeline was off
-he rewrite history by saying he dropped out of school after the pg announcement

But, even ignoring that, these 2 things stuck out:

Tripp wasn't due. For 2 weeks from dec 26
    And

The caption under the prom photo

    Both cannot be true.

Despite it all, I CAN believe bristol demanded to paparazzi to be at the hospital.

Nothing angered her more than when sadie sold triopps picture to Star or when Levi went public. That is what killed any hope of a normal relationship starting for levi. That I know.

Levi forgets that his excuse for not seeing tripp washe felt uncomfortable in their home. Yet bristol was the only person in wasilla in Jan, feb and march (minus the little bit of time she spent in juneau)

So that's where his story comes to a halt for me.

And saying "levi was forced to go public" is ridiculous. A matureperson would have sought legal advice. Rex was around (nevermind. Rex is useless).

Are we so sure that the "pregnancy test strips" (If I remember correctly, Willard found somewhere in the range of 9?) were not test strips for ovulation? That would just about insure a quick pregnancy in a young fertile girl who had just given birth.

And yes, not to belittle my Dad's Irish side of the family, we have a few pairs of "Irish twins" in my extended family. Irish twins is the term for siblings born under a year apart.
Date differences in my family for Irish twins are
9 months and 2 weeks apart
    10 months to the day
    10 months 10 days
    11 months to the day

Yep, Levi got tricked into being Brisket's 2nd baby daddy. And it sounds like Brisket was induced to make sure she had Tripp in Dec and not Jan.

    4:51 AM
    ----------------------------------
To answer your question simply, NO.
Age of consent for girls in most states is 15 or 16 --varies by state.....BUT the age of consent in most states for boys is 18, Brisket would have been the only one with that hanging over her head. Though in most states it would never be prosecuted when the 2 involved are that close in age.

I stopped watching soap operas when I realized that they recycled the same plot over and over. Some poor guy thought he was the father of a child. There was a terrible accident. They needed a blood donor, but his blood didn't match. Surprise. The story lines became predicable.

I think that the Palin family is starting to fall into the same rut. How many times are pregnancies revealed because some one found a pregnancy test hidden in the person's purse. The first time, it was Sarah's pee-stick. Now Bristol's, too, also. Doesn't anyone have any imagination?

Levi was given the job of saying over and over that Trig and Tripp are 8 months apart, there Sarah must have given birth. I can't imagine one teen aged boy who could remember anything, let alone the fact that he was in that same hospital corridor exactly 8 months earlier. Even his ghost writers should have been a little more creative in that writing.

I would like to suggest that Willow score some really high marks on her test in school because she has a career in medical diagnosis waiting for her when she graduates from medical school. (Yeah, stop laughing). She is also the one who diagnosed Trig as having DS because she heard about it in school. It's a pity that they already handed out the Nobel Prizes in medicine this morning. She deserves the honor.

As for Levi, the next time that he has custody of Tripp, I suggest that he and his lawyer head someplace for a paternity test. Or maybe it likes things just the way they are, trapped in the Palin family net of deception until Tripp turns 18 years old.

Which one is it really, because they can't keep the stories straight.

He was at the North Slope when Sarah blew it and said he was working as apprentice -- then Dan Fagan "found out" he needed a h.s. diploma and published it on Jan 2, and so Levi had to resign on January 4 or 5th and planned on "flying home on Monday."

Tripp was born Dec 28? Before this he was on a several day trip with The family -- wouldn't he have been at work? Do they get the holiday week off? When did he fly back if he was on the Slope the week of Jan 2? He would have had to leave Bristol Sunday, the day after. Anyone see Levi around longer than that???

For those who have not read Levi's book and/or Bristol's, a few things, no particular order:

I've not seen anyone comment on Bristol saying in her "memoir" that one of the HARDEST things she had to do when her mom got the VP nod was call her grandmother Sally and tell her she was pregnant because the news was going to come out. Is Sally blind? Suffering dementia? Was she locked in a basement? Otherwise, how the hell didn't she.... oh, wait a minute, ...

Levi says in his book the kids call Sarah by her first name at times, and called her Mom other times. Remember how Todd refers to her as "Sarah Palin" instead of "my wife" when Todd was bullying the citizen at the airport? There's a weird dynamic.

From page 223 of DITH "...Sarah did make one meal that I can remember, for my eighteenth birthday. I was floored. She had sent one of the kids out for some fast food, and we ate that along with the moose tacos she was laying out. She had even invited my mom and Sadie. They and Bristol and I ate on the sofa; I balanced Trig on my knee while I forked in the grub. Todd was outside and Sarah disappeared into her room with a dish of food." Okay folks, there is no freaking way that itty bitty baby on Levi's chest in the picture above was balanced on Levi's knee minutes later while he messed with tacos and "forked in the grub." Beyond belief. So much more to say about that and about Trig's parents not even being in the room, but all of it's obvious.

More when I have time. Keep up the good work Gryphen.

I remember that padded photo from Audrey, and always thought there was something about the "shapeshifting" Bristol showed, even when using the borrowed dress from Meghan McCain story, it just looks too "convenient".

I still believe Sadie and Sherry, if they're getting paid to lie, then why aren't they living in a better house, driving better cars, etc. And I seriously doubt Sadie would have posed for Playboy just to get her story in print. They're good people who got caught in Sarahworld.

I recall there being other people in the tent, even though that happened waaaaay before the pig snorted out the pregnancy test truffle.
And if Levi's getting paid to cover up lies for Sarah, she's running one of the biggest ponzi schemes because it all comes back to her via brisdrool's child support payments.

And now you say there is a third post that will confuse people even more? Is this way of presenting this indo a good idea right now?? Please think about it. You say Freds website will be up soon. Do you want to muddy the waters like this Jesse? Wouldnt it be better to simply summarize the inconsistencies in these stories and then CLEARLY state what you know and think happened?

I mean if I'm confused and want to throw my hand up and walk away, what will be the reaction of media and others trying to investigate this? Please think about this ok?
I am someone who believes totally that Sarah faked Trigs pregnancy and did not give birth to him. But if I w
was someone not familiar with the whole story, or unconvinced, these posts would not help one bit.

Maybe I'm the only one having this reaction.
But I find that hard to believe. I am truly lost in terms of what you are trying to convey. Thanks and I hope it is just me because I'm so fucking sick of Sarah and her lies, I want this to be blown open already and I want every media person, Palinbot and Republican to be 100% convinced Sarah lied. I want the media people who ignored this and buried this story to admit they were wrong and to apologize to the us ( the tin foil hat wearers) and the country!

    ----------------

After we all wipe the tears from our faces laughing at your effort to buy into the narrative that they are strong and happy family with God on only their side, you can apply that sane and rational criticism of both Bristol and Sarah's lies and inconsistencies in their books, also too.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you PEE on those things to get results? The photo was taken on an airplane, Willow was making a face - cross eyes AND holding a baby. Appeared to be the baby that we all referred to as "Ruffles". THEN, Bristol testified in Kernal's trail that she "...was very upset that Kernal spread HER newborn baby's photo around the Internet". She didn't say her newborn baby brother's photo. She said HER newborn baby. Tripp wasn't even born at the time that that Kernal hit Palin's illegal email account. Remember...

Sorry for so many posts -- none of this makes sense about Levi and the North Slope job. His dad said he started the job around the first of November after hearing of layoffs from his Valdez job.

He was in town when he bought Bristol her truck on Nov 4th.

Levi was also in town when he found out his mom was arrested on Dec 18. So he wasn't working that week, either.

He was in town for the Christmas break for the trip with Todd and birth.

Did they lie and say he had a North Slope job and a job before that in Valdez because Sarah was embarrassed by the reports Bristol and Levi were drop-outs?

If not, why was Levi in town so much? How often do they go back and forth to the North Slope, and do they make enough as an apprentice for him to buy her that truck? Didn't he also have a brand new truck? Two truck payments?

Levi makes it sound like he was always around during that time.

So far, it sounds like the same stuff from the V. F. article.

Does he really say that he got the tattoo a week after telling Sarah Bristol was pregnant in his book? That would have been May 2008

Because in the Vanity Fair article he said it was in August 2008 that it was done.

"In early August, before I went hunting and Sarah was picked, Bristol and I were at a tattoo parlor in Wasilla—I was getting her name tattooed on my ring finger—when Sarah called with a plan. Bristol didn’t speak; she just handed the phone to me and said, “You’ve got to listen to what my mom just said.” Sarah told me she had a great idea: we would keep it a secret— nobody would know that Bristol was pregnant. She told me that once Bristol had the baby she and Todd would adopt him. That way, she said, Bristol and I didn’t have to worry about anything."

When premature labor develops and cannot be stopped, the health care team will prepare for a high-risk birth. The mother may be moved to a center that specifically cares for premature infants in, for example, a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

After birth, the baby is admitted to a high-risk nursery. The infant is placed under a warmer or in a clear, heated box called an incubator, which controls the air temperature. Monitoring machines track the baby's breathing, heart rate, and level of oxygen in the blood.

Infants are usually unable to coordinate sucking and swallowing before 34 weeks gestation. Therefore, the baby may have a small, soft feeding tube placed through the nose or mouth into the stomach. In very premature or sick infants, nutrition may be given through a vein until the baby is stable enough to receive all nutrition in the stomach. (See: Neonatal weight gain and nutrition)

If the infant has breathing problems:

•A tube may be placed into the windpipe (trachea). A machine called a ventilator will help the baby breathe.
•Some babies whose breathing problems are less severe receive continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) with small tubes in the nose rather than the trachea. Or they may receive only extra oxygen.
•Oxygen may be given by ventilator, CPAP, nasal prongs, or an oxygen hood over the baby's head.
Nursery care is needed until the infant is able to breathe without extra support, feed by mouth, and maintain body temperature and a stable or increasing body weight. In very small infants, other problems may complicate treatment and a longer hospital stay may be needed.

I really don't understand why the Palin Fairy Tale Troll keeps telling us that Bristol and Levi weren't together very much, nor was their relationship ever deep, nor was it monogamous. Yet we have Bristol telling us she did the dirty with Levi for years. Do they not realize that for a girl to screw a guy she doesn't really care for, while she's hooking up with other guys in between, makes that girl look like a slut?

Also, Palin Troll, if Bristol and Levi were never really close, as you say, then we can only assume that the "wedding" Sarah kept telling us about during the campaign was all a charade to protect her "family values" cred.

You guys really need to pick a theme and stick with it. Either Levi was in love with Bristol while she was a ho who was leading Levi on and screwing all over the place, or Bristol was in love with Levi for years, faithful to him as one would expect of a good little Christian girl, and planned to marry him. Can't be both.

regardless of photos and theories and lies and distortions preemies need special care. the undisputed fact by everyone including the palins is that trig was a preemie.
read to understand what is involved when dealing with a premature birth-which is anything less than 37 weeks. the photos of everyone and anyone with trig at the hospital cannot be proof of his birth on that day as he would have been in an incubator and being monitored because he was at least "3-4 weeks" early!!!! the photos of chuck and sally with him at the hospital cannot be after trig was born. read below about preemies:

"When premature labor develops and cannot be stopped, the health care team will prepare for a high-risk birth. The mother may be moved to a center that specifically cares for premature infants in, for example, a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU).

  156. Although I don't believe $P gave birth to Trig, I still find it difficult to accept that he was the result of back-to-back pregnancies with Bristle. Wouldn't Inspector Willer have noticed that big sis was pregnant not just based on her discovery of yet another pee strip? Even the petulant Pipercub couldn't be fooled for too long as Bristle lacks the requisite 'tight-abs' to pull off a family secret full-term pregnancy. It's much easier to fake a pregnancy than to keep a full blown one under wraps.

My theory for some time is that Trig is related to 'one' of the Palins but none of the female gender. That would definitely be a pregnancy to hide rather than that of a rebellious teenage daughter. Society has changed and wouldn't have been aghast at the alleged first pregnancy much in the same way they weren't when pregnant Bristle was introduced to the public.

It would be so risky bringing all the kids in on this scam, one of them would likely weaken at some point and want to blackmail ma/pa for some perceived adolescent slight. So I say, Mr/Mrs had a big secret to hide and the secret remains with them. Might explain all the purse-carrying.

Okay, if Levi is trying to say that Bristol was 2 mos pregnant when the 4/25 prom pic was taken, that means she would have gotten pregnant in February, making her 5 mos pregnant in the pic posted of her by alaskareport, which would have made her nearly 7 mos at the RNC and due in November, not Dec 18th or mid-january, as he keeps trying to claim.

Levi, Levi, Levi...come on buddy. how could she be 2 mos pregnant, if you told us that she tried to get pregnant AFTER Trig was born in April. Without knowing what G. has coming next, the Palin/Heath camp blunders along, trolling, facebooking and twittering. Sarah found out about the Tripp pregnancy on May4th. She allegedly wanted to adopt him and asked Bristol in Aug. According to mudflats, Sarah emailed Todd in July (end I think?) That Levi and Bristol should marry on Aug 29th. Todd probably ignored this email because the idea of Levi marrying into his family just pissed him off. WHY, then, would she raise the adoption question. There were no signs of strife that whole summer within THAT family. The only strife was the alleged rift Bristol created between Sadie and Levi. YET, despite Bristol's hatred of Levi's family, Sarah invited Sherry and Sadie to the concert in late July??????????

    HUHHHHHHHHHHH?

    So, we have:

March 5th - Sarah announces her pregnancy with the perfect political baby probably not even secured yet from wherever he came from

Bristol, a mother at heart, felt jealous and tricked her pseudo boyfriend into having a baby

April 18th - the family meets Trig. According to Willow via barbara walters, they didn't know about the DS until that day.

Bristol, meanwhile, has been telling her friends around WHS that she's pregnant (April)

May 1 or 2 (unsure) - Bristol tells Levi about the pregnancy (there are two different ways she does this according to Levi's words)

    May 3rd - triggybear pics
May 4th 2am - Sadie writes to Levi's ex best bud and Bristol old crush that Levi's "still angry and goes hunting every night"
May 4th - baby shower that the family attends
May 4th - Sarah and Todd are told of the pregnancy. Sarah mentions marriage, Todd is furious (big surprise, not)

End of May - Bristol photographed in Gov's office
Beg of June - people mag photoshoot
End of June - was THIS when the Track in Fairbanks kids group shot was?

At some point Bristol alleged tells Levi to break communication with Levi.
Beg of July - Philly. Zoo pic taken. Bristol looks a little bigger
End of July - The whole family's in Juneau
Wynonna concert as well (I would guess the forbidding LEvi to see Sadie didn't last long since A. Levi had to have stayed at his house when the Palins were in Juneau B. the concert. Or it just didn't happen.

Beginning Aug - alleged adoption offer/tattoo
middle Aug - Sarah sobs to F Bailey
End August - Fair pic with blu sweatshirts

Sherry and Mercede are allowed just a few moments in the hospital to see Tripp. When Trig was born months earlier, they were invited to the Palin house for cake and "family love" photos.

Seems that Sherry and Mercede were given more time with Sarah's baby "son" than with their own grandchild and nephew.

  166. FWIW, my conclusions about Bristol's pregnancy with Tripp:

She was pregnant at the RNC but not 5 mos. along.

He was born in mid to late Jan.

On the night she took the stage at the RNC, she wore one of Megan McCain's gray dresses and wore Sarah's empathy device with bra and belly to look more pregnant than she was.

The McCain handlers saw Bristol standing in the dress looking OK, as she did on stage. They did not see her sitting in the dress to see how she looked ridiculous, as if she had a sofa bolster on her chest.

Assuming Sherry and Sadie are telling the truth, Bristol posed for them at MatSu with a rent-a-baby on Dec.27, after which Sadie was not allowed to see her "nefu."

I can't figure out what Levi knew and when, and what is true or false. High hopes Gryphen can.

If not, and I doubt they would, how would a kid Willow's age at the time even know what it was? The story smells more than a used pregnancy stick. I think someone was makin' stuff up.

Sort of makes one wonder why Levi wrote (had the book written for him) the book doesn't it? Is the only reason just to lie about Sarah having a baby? It seems to be the only purpose it will serve.

In truth, Levi wrote his book to make some money off this bullshit. He has a reason to continue to cover up Sarah's big lie. This has got to be because he is indebted to Sarah and Todd but also that he would be found complicit in the lie too. Insurance fraud? Forget it, it will never happen. Political alliances ya know.

When Sarah is completely finished, and that shouldn't be long from now, I wouldn't be a bit surprised to hear of Levi and Bristol and all their babies getting back together as one big happy hillbilly family.

DZ...I have often thought Trig could be Todd's bio child from another woman. Maybe a late summer Dillingham fling, who knows, we just know that he didn't emerge from Sarahs Queen Victoria in the wee hours of April 18, 2008.

We know Sarah faked the pregnancy, and I have always maintained that she did so because the truth of his origin was far more tragic and scandalous than the ridiculousness of a sitting governor faking a pregnancy. See, I'm not one of those buying into the theory of Sarah wrangling up a random DS baby for right wing street cred. Sarah's motive was purely selfish...as with everything she does.

Anyway, with Levi bungling the Sarah/Bristol established timeline in his book, it looks more and more likely that his story actually supports the Bristol + Levi= Trig + Tripp

Levi says on pg 226 that he dropped out of school in his Junior year two months before it ended, to go to work. "So I still had a year and a half to go." At this part in the book, he and Bristol are re-engaged, it's 2010, and he's looking back at what happened. School in Alaska gets out in mid-May, so he dropped out in mid-March, 2008. He didn't know Bristol was pregnant until May, right? Perhaps not.

Levi might have forgotten that on page 89 he already told us about dropping out of school to go to work. This is in an earlier chapter when he is talking about breaking the news about the pregnancy and how parents took it. "I don't support this, my father told me, when I announced I was dropping out of school. I want you to get your diploma; stay in school. Mom and I can help you work this out. His words echoed the expression I'd seen on my mother's face, if only for a second, when we told her Bristol was pregnant.

I respected my father's opinion but I needed to earn money, not take from them. Todd had made that clear, though I'd already figured it out for myself."

Okay, so that means Bristol told him she was pregnant no later than mid-March. And it fits with other things he's said. The caption under the mid-late April picture of Bristol and Sadie (in prom gear) is supported by these other references. She was two months pregnant.

Which also helps explain how these long-time enemies (see Playboy and Not Afraid of Life) could have smiled for the camera and put their arms around each other. A baby changes everything. Didn't Sadie caption it "Oooooo I love her so!"

Joe McGinniss destroys Sarah Palin in The Rogue, albeit unconventionally

...Given the circus-like atmosphere surrounding The Rogue, it would be easy to write it off as tawdry entertainment before moving on to Dunn’s more authoritative tome. But that would be a mistake. Because within this book are scores of devastating anecdotes from people who speak on the record, as well as documented revelations about the extent of Palin’s religious extremism.

McGinness has decided to give the public insight into Palin the person—and not just Palin the politician. She comes across as lazy, self-obsessed, shallow, vindictive (though not quite as vengeful as her husband), utterly narcissistic, and relentlessly ambitious. She collects dependent acolytes and dumps people when they’re no longer useful.

By the end of The Rogue, McGinniss even has readers questioning if she truly gave birth to her son Trig. He’s the famous kid with Down’s syndrome, who cemented her standing as a maternal hero with the Christian right because she chose not to abort him. In this aspect of the Palin myth, McGinniss builds on the work of conservative blogger Andrew Sullivan.

If you want to know why such a detestable politician ever got selected as John McCain’s running mate on the Republican ticket, you’ll have to consult Dunn’s recent book. He provides all the sordid details about how poorly she was vetted by the McCain camp. Dunn also does a far better job describing Palin’s policies as governor, including her abysmal treatment of starving aboriginal people in Alaska. But if you want to get a feel for how Palin’s neighbours despise her or for what a religious hypocrite she is, McGinness provides a more complete picture.

He also takes a couple of whacks at Malcolm, his old nemesis, for writing an astonishingly gullible account in the New York Review of Books about Palin’s reality show. The depth of research in this section alone proves that McGinniss is, at the age of 68, still a great journalist.

A few paragraphs after eviscerating Malcom, McGinniss writes: “I have no reservations about saying that in the history of American politics, no candidate for national office has ever displayed less gravitas (that is, high seriousness, substance, a dignified demeanor) than Sarah Palin.”

At the back of The Rogue, there’s a surprising acknowledgement to Dunn. “Such generosity of spirit from the author of a contemporaneous book about the same subject is something I’ve never encountered before,” McGinniss writes.

Dunn’s The Lies of Sarah Palin appeals to the pointy-heads, including serious reviewers of nonfiction political reporting who demand documentation; McGinniss’s more populist approach speaks to the masses who enjoy the National Enquirer and People magazine.

In tandem, the two authors have portrayed a politician who is not a joke, but a genuine threat to the future of the United States. By conveying this essential point to the media, Republican politicians, and the broader electorate, they have probably helped prevent Palin from ever becoming president and leading America further down a path toward fascism.

Brad Scharlott has noted that the circumstances of Tripp's birth are odd. He says in an interview with Laura Novak, "One of the things I found fascinating when researching my spiral of silence paper was that there is no compelling evidence that Tripp was born to Bristol and Levi in late December of 2008, as reported," and then proceeds to explain the problems with the narrative that everyone assumes about the birth of Tripp and why the narrative is as it exists.

A Non-MSM Review Of "The Rogue"

Sometimes you have to get out of the cocoon to see what reporting actually is. Here's Stephen Amidon on McGinniss's book, from an email forwarded by Joe to me:

'I knew that I would react differently to it from the way Maslin et al would have had me, but I wasn't prepared for just how different that reaction would be. First of all, as a writer, I admire the book immensely for its craft. The prose is pitched exactly right. I love your tone, the sense that you don't for a minute take this clown seriously but are willing to be serious about getting to the heart of the phenomenon. It can be very funny. The passages all feel right and add up to an overwhelmingly convincing portrait. People who call it 'gossipy' are dolts. To write ponderously about this person would be dishonest and foolish. Instead, you write intelligently, incisively, playfully.

That's important. I think inserting yourself into the narrative was not only a good authorial choice, but essential from an epistemological point of view. Unlike Tallyrand, Kissinger or JFK, Palin relies on the perceiver to exist. She has no weight in the world of ideas or policy, but rather serves only as a presence in the imagination. To write about her 'objectively' is to miss the point. Her reaction to your presence next door was also so hysterical, so bizarrely over the top that it spoke volumes about how she would handle pressure. And it is not a pretty picture.

This leads to my other big difference with the Maslin Crew - the idea that you focus on 'personal' or 'private' stuff to the detriment of .... what, exactly?

There is no 'there' there. It's impossible to think that one could write about Palin without the lion's share of your focus being on matters like her lack of loyalty to supporters, her vindictiveness, her narcissism, her utter lack of truthfulness. That's the bloody story! Again, to write a book about Palin's political philosophy or policy goals would be profoundly wrong-headed, even deceitful. She is all about developing, masking, packaging and projecting her self. And you have, quite brilliantly, exposed that self for the fabricated, noxious thing it is.'

I do not understand why the Village cannot handle or absorb this.

What a dysfunctional family!!! Bristol talks to her mom and calls her "Sarah"?? WTF??

I think the weird names for the kids are in reference to where Sarah concieved and did the nasty.

Track - on a track and field
Bristol - in a boat on Bristol Bay
Willow - under a Willow tree
Piper - in the small airplane
Trig - didn't have/want this one so she named him after the syndrome

I hear that Todd is also a product of an unplanned pregnancy and was aptly named when his mom missed several periods and remarked "Hmmm... that's odd.."

Keith Johnston could be the father of Trig. That would explain Sadie's "little brother" caption. What happened to Keith anyway? He sort of disappeared. I've said it before and I'll say it again: Ruffles is/was an FAS baby.
He/she wasn't going to make it as an attractive pro-life candidate. But a Down syndrome cutie would make a perfect symbol for SP's street cred.

Some time ago, Levi was interviewed by Tyra Banks. "Do you use protection, Levi?"
    He mumbled, "Yes."
    "Everytime, Levi?"
    "Yeah."
    "Come on, Levi, EVERY TIME?"
"Well, I might have messed up once."

That doesn't sound like the latest excuse of Bristol going off the pill. It depends on what kind of birth control Bristol claimed to have been taking, but it's hard to imagine that the moment she stopped taking the pills, bingo, she ovulated, and they conceived.

There is a really good reason why it is called a monthly cycle (28 days, really). Even if Bristol took one look at Trig, and decided that she wanted to have a baby right then and there, it takes a while for the body to get rid of anything that had been built up. Then it takes 14 days for ovulation to take place.

If we accept the version that Bristol wanted to get pregnant after Trig was born, Tripp would have been due towards the end of January. The only reason that Bristol's numbers were so cleverly calculated is that she was supposed to prove that Sarah gave birth to Trig. Bristol's being pregnant only proves that Bristol had sex.

Why would Sarah humiliate her daughter and force her to go out there in that get-up? We know why, but it shows how far SP would go to cover her lies. She'd make her daughter feel so ugly and morphed into this disproportionate form on national tv.

That is sick. It feels very disturbing to know that a mother like her could play such games with her own child. It's psychological torture.

    A reader writes:

You wrote "I do not understand why the Village cannot handle or absorb this."

The Village cannot handle this because they have been participants in the scam that is Sarah Palin. Whether giving her a pass, lowering the bar for the little con artist, reporting her lies as gospel or flat out lying for her they have been active participants in the con game that is Sarah Palin. What they can't handle or absorb is just how far they went and how low they've sunk. They can't handle themselves. Someday, and it will take awhile for dust to settle and perspective to clear, someone is going to write another book about Palin. Only it won't be about her and the hoax she is. It will be about the hoax that the press turned themselves into on her behalf. It's going to be a really ugly and unforgiving book. And no doubt the press will savage it.

I think that's largely true - proven almost definitively by the Journo-List leaks, where liberal journalists debated the political efficacy of finding out the truth. I remember asking one colleague about Palin's weird pregnancy story when it first emerged. Probably untrue, he said, but not worth looking into because it would hurt "your reputation." Others insisted the actual life of Palin was irrelevant, because her public record was so awful, it was all you needed to focus on. Another writes:

"The Village cannot handle or absorb" the total moral vacuum that is Sarah Palin for one simple reason: they don't care about it. They are no longer journalists but participants in the entertainment business. As individuals, I'm sure they don't take Palin any more seriously than you do. But they all recognize the media phenomenon she is (or was). Their goal is to increase the number of eyeballs watching them and Palin serves that purpose. They know damn well she'll never be president and that her long-extended fifteen minutes of fame will eventually end. But in the meantime, a Palin story may mean their ratings go up a notch and that is truly all they care about.

Just remember that the NYT ran a completely credulous piece on Palin's stories about her pregnancy. You think a NYT staffer, Janet Maslin, would implicitly rebuke her own newspaper for never digging deeper? Or would it be more in her interest to grandstand about "old news" and alleged misogyny?

Sigh. As another leading DC reporter said to me at the time: "Why ask questions she won't answer?" Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the legacy media. Oh, and about that "unattributed crap" cited by so many, including Maslin. When will she dismiss the "Niggerhead" story in the Washington Post? Money quote:

Most of those interviewed requested anonymity because they fear being ostracized or other repercussions in their small community.

So the story is baseless, right?
