Its about time THIS generation got involved in protesting getting screwed like this.

The folks my age, managed to scream and shout our way to environmental protections, rights for women, blacks, and other minorities, ending a pointless war, and other issues which got our goats.

I wondered just how bad they'd let it GET, before they finally got up from their video games and hit the streets to demand something be done about the shameful inequalities that have taken the nation to the brink of disaster.

The question I keep asking: Why aren't these assholes that did this to us in jail? Or approaching the poorhouse like some of us?

O/T: Byron Dorgan made us proud here, until he sold us out and quit.

Anon 11:11 - It's not about 'THIS' generation, it's about ALL generations. As a senior citizen (first time I've ever typed that!) I'm ready to take to the streets again. The madness must stop.

That was excellent. It seems like such an easy fix...return to Glass-Steagall Act.

We need a million Warrens and D. C. Douglases...
Too old to do anything besides try to convince those around me to follow the Path of Altruism, but hope there will be some who will pass on the teachings...

This is what a REAL "grass roots" movement looks like! (not people bussed in on the dime of the Koch brothers)

Damn, I love Elizabeth Warren. I hope she wins her Senate Seat.

Wouldn't you like to see some of those bankers go in front of a congressional panel that was populated with Warren, Grayson, Franken, Sanders and Boxer? It would be a bloodbath. I'd have to tape it and watch it over and over.

I am hoping that there is some truth to the coming "Age of Aquarius" - the Mayan Y2K coming in 2012 and it is a world wide awakening of consciousnesses and we will actually get to see a fantasy such as I described about become reality all over the world.

I hear you Anony @ 11:11 - too many of the kids around us have their heads buried up their Xboxes or are headed into crime and despair because they don't think they can do anything about the "system". But there are also a few, such as my goddaughter, that are rockin' it! They are engaged, smart, and they are going to take their country back. And I'll be right there beside them the whole way.

    Thank You!

DC Douglas hit it out of the ballpark!

Thanks to the comment Anonymous 10:56 am. That clip should also go viral.

I wouldn't paint the youth of today with too broad a brush, for all the neglect, indifference, violence and hate we see, there are tons of young people who value their country, know and fight for their rights, and are socially and politically conscious.

The vast majority of the people we see in thses "occupy" marches across the country are proof of that.

I applaud and support them wholeheartedly. They fill a void that was neglected far too long. They want a chance at the American Dream, and the GD Corporations, wall street, and the wealthy already have more than their fair share of it.
