Just in case you thought OWS were simply fair weather protestors. Think again.
Something that pisses me off is how often I see people on the internet asking the question, "So, what do all these unemployed dirty hippies have against the banks?"
(Gee, can you just TELL they recently switched off Fox and Friends?)
How about THIS: the banks told the government that if they didn't cough up many BILLIONS of taxpayer dollars to bail them out of the position they got themselves into, thanks to some really really bad decisions, that the whole economy would fall apart.
They were given the money on the promise that they'd LOAN IT OUT, easily, to help businesses get going and hire more people.
Instead, they made getting a loan even HARDER, and doled out the money to their executives, as a "bonus" for screwing up so badly.
That sounds like a pretty good reason for getting very angry, to ME...along with millions of others who are regular bathers, have jobs, yet are really pissed off, for good reason.
