National Enquirer claims Bristol Palin finally wants to do something important with her life. Nah, just kidding, she wants to cut hair for a living. Update!

"My dream is to use my cosmetology skills make EVERYBODY just as gorgeous as I am!"
Interesting information courtesy of Celebdirtylaundry:

The National Enquirer print edition reports: “Bristol wants to go to cosmetology school. She plans to find a school near her home in Arizona so she can get away from the Alaskan winter. After graduating next year, she wants to look for jobs in the movie industry. Bristol’s realizing her bout of fame and big-money offers in Hollywood is dwindling since mother isn’t in the spotlight as much, so she needs a backup plan.”

Is it just me, or is anybody else hearing Frankie Avalon's "Beauty School Drop Out" playing in their heads right now?

Beauty school dropout,
No graduation day for you.
Beauty school dropout,
Missed your midterms and flunked shampoo!
Well at least you could have taken time, to wash and clean your clothes up,
After spending all that dough to have the doctor fix your nose up!

Baby get moving (Baby get movin),
Why keep your feeble hopes alive?
What are you proving (What are you provin)?
You've got the dream but not the drive.

If you go for your diploma, you could join a steno pool.
Turn in your teasin comb and go back to high school!

Beauty school dropout (Beauty school dropout),
Hanging around the corner store.
Beauty school dropout (Beauty school dropout),
It's about time you knew the score.

Well they couldn't teach you anything,
You think you're such a looker,
But no customer would go to you unless she was a hooker!

Baby don't sweat it (Don't sweat it),
You're not cut out to hold a job.
Better forget it (Forget it),
Who wants their hair done by a slob?

So if this is true, and I don't have any independent confirmation yet, then that must mean that Bristol's reality show is dead in the water. Color me surprised.

Well I guess if Bristol cannot BE one of the rich and famous, she can at least wash the hair of the rich and famous. You know, if they came up to Wasilla, Alaska that is.

Hey, I wonder if this means she will start working at the Beehive Beauty Shop? Then she could wax people's taint, AND get to be on television!

That is of course if the rumors of Big Hair Alaska's demise turn out to be false don'tcha know.

You know the problem with hitching your future to the meteoric rise of a crazy person, which half of the planet already despises, is that when they fizzle out and slam back into the earth, they leave nothing but devastation and a giant crater to remember them by.  And everything that was sucked along in their wake is now so damaged that it is virtually unrecognizable.

Sadly for Bristol, and of course little Tripp, she is exhibit "A."

Update: Here is the actual NE article. It looks like Bristol might be a little more ambitious than we previously believed:

BRISTOL PALIN’s Hollywood dreams are fading but she’s determined to make it big on the other side of the camera — as a Hollywood hairdresser.

Sources say the 21-year-old former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant plans to attend cosmetology school so she can do hair and makeup on movie sets!

And as for her reality show with the Massey's?

Bristol recently filmed a reality show with former Disney stars KYLE and CHRISTOPHER MASSEY for the BIO channel, but sources say it may be scrapped. She realized quickly she needed to explore other options.

“Her biggest priority is getting a job that is flexible, where she can make plenty of money but not be too tied down since she’s a single mother,” added the source. “Cosmetology work is perfect because she’ll have some control over her schedule.”

There is a fledgling film industry sprouting up here, but it is having some serious growing pains right now (My daughter is currently unemployed after months of back to back work available.). But even if it takes off one has to wonder if ANY reputable movie company would hire Bristol Palin to do hair and makeup on their performers?

Unless of course she is planning to move to Hollywood full time, but then that second question still applies.

This skank will never cut hair for a living..

It is way too much hard work for Brisdull to ever consider. Gasp! Standing all day to make $50 or $100.

She will probably do porno movies ... about the only thing she is qualified to do.

  2. Are we getting a report on The Unattended that you, I presume, attended last night? I probably speak for all of us in saying that we're dying to hear about it!

Only half of the planet despises the Palins? Only half? I think you're being mighty generous there Gryphen.

And btw, Bristol will never make it through beauty school. It takes commitment and motivation - neither of which she seems to have acquired yet.

Perhaps she can work with Jessica at the Bee Hive. Didn't Jessica score a reality show segment or two?

With Bristol they could make it three.

It sounds about her level of competance intellectually. I am not putting down hairdressing or hairdressers though I never go to beauty shops.

I'm sure she thinks she won't do ordinary hairdressing , she assumes she would start at the top.

Considering her own mess of hair, I think she has no taste or talents even in dressing hair.

  5. Being a hairdresser is hard work. Standing on your feet all day, working with chemicals. Assuming the Bristle can even make it through the program, she will suck at it because she's too self-centered. And not to put down hairdressing as a living, but if they had the choice between college and hairdressing, many of them would choose college. Bristle can get an education without being saddled with student loans, but she chooses to do something that she THINKS sounds glamorous, and she knows how much the McCain hairdresser was paid. Apparently she still thinks that her "connections" will get her in the door. Does she not realize how stiff the competition is for "glamorous" hairdressing jobs? Maybe Cindy McCain will hire her.

There's no way she'll get the chance to work on 'stars'!! There is no one -- I say no one -- who would let her near their hair. They've seen the evidence of her own grooming!!

She's probably going to try to get on the reality shows Jerseylicious or Glam Fairy - although Glam Fairy would involve working with gay guys. However, she already knows how to do bumpits, so she'll have a leg up on the other students.

And to Anon @ 6:10 am, yes, perhaps her first movie will be "Beach Blanket Bingo - the Adult Version". Although Bri$dull is most certainly NOT Annette Funicello, not by a long shot.

What's sad is apparently no one told Bristol that as you age your face becomes longer. She made her already pretty-enough face really loooong with unneeded plastic surgery, so by the time she's 40 she'll probably look like a horse.

  11. I stand by my statement that half of the planet despises Palin. Remember, believe it or not, there are still large segments of the population who have never even HEARD of Sarah Palin.

But for those that know of her, then yes more than likely they DO despise her.

And for those who are awaiting a report from the premiere of "The Unattended" I am sorry to report that it will not come from me, as I was unable to make the work accommodations I would need to get the free time.

I still hope others might make it out there tonight. Any "boots on the ground" in Wasilla?

  13. That song ran through my mind when I read that Bristol was thinking about becoming a hairdresser. And then, my mind wandered to a scenario of Bristol working in a hair salon and Tabatha of Tabatha's Salon Takeover pays a visit. Delicious possibilities. Like others have said, hair dressing/cosmetology is not easy work. A good hair stylist takes continuing courses and works hard to update skills and keep customers. In Hollywood, I would imagine the competition is pretty stiff.

Well, at least it would seem that Bristol is facing reality. Finally.

Yes, and she'll graduate from the "ahem, cosmetology school" with honors, while attending UAA full time, filming her reality show & remembering to visit her children once a month. Oh, and she'll also do her radio show in her spare time. What a talented "gurl" she is.

Brisket's real problem is her own: that nasty streak, combined with her lack of work ethic and sense of entitlement. All those times she was haughty and demanding as a "star" - that's the opposite of what a anyone who wants to provide services to real stars will need. Can't imagine the kind of small talk she could make with someone in the chair. Ugh.

  17. jcinco7:10 AM

This is good perhaps this will convince one of her siblings to consider the fact that an education is important or you might spend the next 30 years on your feet dying old ladies' hair blue. Too late for willow I fear but maybe piper could be the first palin kid to further her education.
If my 19-20 year-old daughter came home with her face as mishappened as bristle's in that picture the first thing I would do after screaming hysterically "what have you done to your face? " is call my family lawyer. I can't believe a person under the age of 21 is allowed to give permission to someone to butcher their face like that...

I get that she's been quite the mini-grifter to this point. And it absolutely KILLS me to say this; but maybe, just maybe, she's making a smart move here. She's young and recognizes she has no marketable skill set, and so she's doing something about it.

Now, whether or not she'll make it in Hollywood is another story altogether. But I am hoping against hope that maybe she has seen the true nature of her mother's core, and doesn't want that for herself. Just maybe. Redemption is possible, right?

The Flying Monkeys are all excited that their Queen's movie will be shown in Wasilla. But some are bummed out and can't watch it anymore, since she isn't gonna be 'whoopin' Obama's ass' like they first thought.

'I think you're very spot on about how all this is only going to work more in our favor as time moves forward.

And I think the movie will possibly have a significant positive impact even on the left.

The reason I say this is because they're a herd on the verge of stampeding, and when some of them see the film they're going to start a chain reaction. And even in that faithless world, God's law is written on even their hearts. Once some of those folks see the movie and have to face the hideousness of the way Sarah's been savaged, many of those hearts will be irresistably convicted, even if they won't admit it in some cases.

I can also envision a good number of the left voting against obama out of spite if he does the kind of pandering we expect him to running up to the election.

Throw in the growing suffering and difficulties that appear to loom on the horizon and it adds up to the potential for an unprecedented and perhaps at this time unthinkable outcome.

And, of course, underpinning it all is the unfailing promise of Romans 8:28. And we know without a doubt who Sarah is and by Whom she is called.

Mow is the time for us to be in a II Timothy 1:7 mode, as Sarah has encouraged us to do.

"For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but if power, and of love, and of a sound mind."

People wonder how she does it...there's the answer. And as far as I can tell, she and Todd are the embodiments of that verse.

Let's melt and flip us some iceberg!'

  21. As obnoxious as Bristol Palin has become, let's not forget that it is due to her mother Sarah Palin. I really feel sorry for her kids who's lives she has corrupted in her quest for political fame. Sarah Pali deserves a bout of public humiliation for all the "good" she has wrought.

  23. I don't know, Gryphen, why criticize her for looking for work she likes and that can earn her a living? Sure, she had a rotten start, rotten up-bringing, thrown onto the national stage, her role framed by her mean-spirited, superficial, celebrity-seeking mom, a dysfunctional family life, so she's young, and out of all that it's not surprising she's made immature choices, fallen for the glamour thing.

But now if she wants an independent life, and fixing hair appeals to her, why not? It beats feeding off mama's trough (and being in her suck-the-life-out-of-you sphere). Lots of nice people make their living in beauty salons; beauty's big business in the good ol' U.S. It's honest work. Shouldn't be disrespected, imo.

Kathi in NJ...sorry, but we've heard this all before. Remember when she left the nest to live with her baby in Anchorage. She was supposedly going to college AND working full time in a medical office. And it was so tough on the poor girl that she skipped out to live in LA and pretend to dance for 2 months. Then she was going to be in a TV show with the brothers Massey...still awaiting that premiere. Now she wants to go to beauty school? As someone else said, we'll believe it when we see her diploma and her attempt to get a job on her own merits.
Meanwhile, who's watching the kids? And since when has she LIVED in Arizona?

I was about to say, No way could Bristol pull off a job at a hair salon or be a set make-up artist - as the hours and work as way too long and hard - but I see others have beat me to it.

Dang Bristol, must be discouraging to read these comments about you. So, are you going to prove everyone wrong and actually develop a work ethic and a conscience? I'd give you a standing ovation if you ever did.

Now I'll have that song in my head all day.

In all that time since August 2008, Bristol could be enjoying her 3rd or 4th year of university now, ready for graduation, or if she had decided a community college, she'd be well under way working at a "rill" american job.

Her life has been disrupted by the lure of fame and it'll be very hard to go back to just normal. I think that anyone who chooses the entertainment industry as career choice would be successful as long as they had a good solid childhood with parents who taught them to love themselves, not take themselves too seriously. But a lot of people want in that industry because they feel it will replace the love and acceptance they didn't get from home.

If this is the case with Bristol, she'll be running from one thing to the next, always seeking and not finding unless she realizes that she must deal with the past.

In ""Hollywood" (which no one in L.A. refers to as a mythical fantasy place but as a real neighborhood that used to house most film studios), Bristol Palin will fail. She should try to set up a beauty shop in Maricopa or Wasilla. In L.A., no one will trust their hair and make-up to her, because she can't do her own. It's that simple. Do you go to a dermatologist who has bad skin? Not in L.A. Would you go to an uneducated, unattractive girl who has bad hair and a strange face for "cosmetic" treatment? Not on your life.

The reason that Bristol wants to cut hair and do makeup for The Stars is because she saw how much money a stylist made while making up Sarah for the 2008 campaign-- $$$$$!!!

Here are some more career choices for Bristol:
    1. actress
    2. receptionist/manager - doctor's office
    3. radio commentator
    4. dancer
    5. real estate agent
    6. manager of some consulting company set up by SarahPAC

Oh, sorry, Bristol tried these jobs and they didn't work out so well. I can think of one job that requires hard work, long hours, dedication and has some rewards (and problems) along the way: Mother.

Maybe it's time for Bristol to stop chasing some kind of glamorous life style for which she lacks the talent and skill. She does have a child (children) to take care of, and they don't belong in Arizona for the winter. They belong a reasonable distance from the guy who thinks that he is the father so they can have him and his family in their lives, too. Being a good mother does take time and effort, but then, Bristol has no role model to follow, so it is much harder for her.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Anonymous7:45 AM

Does she think that slapping a Bumpit on her mother's head and clipping on the extensions, applying the curling iron and finishing with hairspray is a realistic preview of actually making a living dealing with what other people want their hair and makeup to look like?

For heaven's sake, this girl's only other experience is sitting in the chair receiving the services of professionals with years of experience, and no doubt some interest and skills in customer service.

Think about that for a moment. Wrap your head around Bristol busting her butt to please someone else in order to get paid.

Oh, and standing on her feet all day, schlepping her cases around, and remembering how al those chemicals interact. She'll have to put up with every kind of demanding customer just like she was.

And not only will she not have a shampoo assistant when she starts out - she'll BE the shampoo assistant to the more experienced stylists, and she'll be sweeping up too.

How long do you think THAT dose of living in the real world will last?

    ReplyDelete

Is there anyone out there who doesn't want a good paying job with flexibility? She sure seems to think she is better than every other single mother without a millionaire parent.

So she wants to go to cosmo school and then automatically get into the movie business. Boy, sure would be nice if everyone was that special, dontcha think.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Anonymous7:55 AM

It's all downhill from here. Even people with talent or connections have a hard time in the entertainment business. And she's also got that bad attitude and a history of being abusive to the very people who could give her a break in their fields.

Besides, she would have to go t school without dropping out, and actually learn skills and apply knowledge about chemicals.

    Yeah, right.

  38. I'm surprised Sarah didn't intervene as an executive producer and find a way to get the reality show aired. Its failure may be the crack that lets the light in, showing Bristol how she was duped by her own mother.

Anon. 7:18 - Thanks for the tip from C4P - Whoever commented about Tim. 1:7 - "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind". They've taken scripture and turned it around to make Sarah out to be above other men. That's pretty blasphemous. To that commenter from C4P who no doubt comes here to read:

I don't see a believer telling national tv viewers she'll bring a rope to hang people "LOVE". Only God's LOVE through us towards others can achieve a sound spiritual mind and comfort us from fear. A person who wants to bring a rope to hang someone, even in jest, has not accepted God's love yet, as they don't display a forgiving spirit.

You say, "as Sarah has encouraged us to do". Nice that Sarah encourages people to read that verse, but she made elderly people cry when she touted "death panels". And the thing of it is, these verses are from God for our spiritual growth, not for the governing arena.

"She and Todd are the embodiments of that verse". Jesus is the only "embodiment" from that verse because He gives power, love and a sound mind. He was the one who made the ultimate sacrifice, not us. Believers can't achieve that unless they allow Him to have authority over their lives. No man should glory in himself that he is the embodiment of such and such verse.

These people have made Sarah out to be some form of supernatural being, almost as important as Jesus Christ. They are overlapping that line where they have succumbed to making her out to be some sort of God. If she really is a christian, she would be smart to make a statement to these deluded souls that she's human, with frailties, like everyone else. And, give GOD the glory.

Well, she has damn good hair that's for sure. And she's beautiful and charismatic in an office setting. A salon environment is what's she's used to. What is it with alaskans and choosing cosmetology or dental hygiene?

But hey, many of these young people already have their own houses at 20 (not just bristol)

    ReplyDelete
  58. Look, obviously there are many people who are not cut out for college, it just so happens the Palin family has a disproportionate amount of them...so far, no one in that family can seem to get a bachelors degree.

I applaud Bristol for actually learning a trade other than media whore and baby maker, lord knows she needs one. However, if she is looking for something flexible that is the wrong field...you need to work weekends and evenings to do hair and makeup for weddings, proms, etc. And work around your clients' schedules, not your children's if you ever want to make any money. It takes a lot of time to build up a client base, and Bristol has no idea you can't just move to Hollywood and do makeup on movie sets. The delusion is strong with that one.

With that said, in major cities you can do quite well for yourself if you are talented. Hell, my hairdresser I went to for 20 years in Georgetown charges $100 per cut, owns a townhouse in Dupomt Circle, travels 3-4 times a year, and only works 4 days a week. I doubt customers in Wasilla or Maricopa pay top dollar like the ladies of Washington, DC

    ReplyDelete
  76. Anonymous9:11 AM

Bristol, it's extraordinarily hard work to be a hair stylist or make-up artist for films in 'wood. Crack of dawn call times on locations that might be remote, and you have to get yourself there without any kind of entourage--there are no extraneous people in a make-up trailer. You're pressured to get the actors on set on time, then take care of their appearance while they do their scenes. You're there to the very end of the very end of the day's shoot. But the pay is good. You'll need it to pay for child care for Tripp, and that godson of yours(??). Make-up artists with kids have to have a flexible and on-call child care situation. They usually don't know their call time until the night before. If not a father or other close relative, you'd probably need a nanny, at least in busy times when you're spending 16 or more hours a day on set.

Someone has already mentioned the health risks from chemicals and the stress of standing long hours. In the trailer and on set, you never sit.

I applaud you if you pick any goal and achieve it through education and experience. But the goal you're thinking about...think harder before you go ahead with it.

The "job" that Bristol seemed to like the most was when she was on TV (or posing for magazine pictures). She is the one who wants to be fussed over and have her hair and makeup done. The gossip was that Bristol could be quite a diva in the makeup chair. I can't imagine her doing that for other divas when she is the one who wants to attention.

I also wonder who sent the story to NE. Oh, wait a minute. I get it now. This is Bristol's (and Sarah's) latest gimmick, a not so subtle pitch for Bristol's reality show: Single mother with a child (or children and god-children) to support, goes to cosmetology school, and then gets a chance to work as an "intern" at famous hair salons and movie studios. Hell, if Jessica could get two episodes, maybe the cameras will come back for Bristol's attempts at back-combing, perms and fluffing. She could work on Sarah. Now, that's a show!

    aahem)

IDN, all you people who I don't know are horrible haters for judging people you don't know.

Bristol is a landlord and that's a lot of hard work. It's a lot of hard work to hire a property manager to take care of problems with her house and deal with tenants.

Bristol is also a single mother. That's a lot of hard work, too, as I'm sure all you other single mothers know. Just ask anyone who's had to hire nannies and babysitters how hard it is. Sometimes you have to talk with the nanny and sometimes she's 5 minutes late in the morning and you can't get in the shower when you want. And you have to pay them with cash or checks, which is a lot harder than using a credit card, as other single mothers know. It's even harder if Bristol has a person who takes care of paying the nannies and baby sitters. She has to pay THAT person to pay the nannies and the baby sitters. Good thing Bristol is a hard ass worker.

And, as for Jessica Beehive. I love her. She's also a hard worker who loves and supports her best clients' children. Remember that time when Bristol was inconvenienced by having to go to court to figure out custody with Levi (whom she never really loved, just had a lot of sex with)? Remember how Jessica Beehive so helpfully suggested that people contact the judge in case so that he would have a lot of valuable input when he made his decision? Remember that? That was a lot of hard work for Jessica Beehive on top of doing hair. That's why I love her.

So, Bristol wanting to be a hair stylist like Jessica Beehive is something to be admired and proves what a hard ass worker she is.

As a hair stylist, Bristol will have to wash, cut, color, style, call out judges in custody cases and encourage people to contact them, pay people to manage her rental house, pay people to watch her children when she has to work or needs to hang out with friends or ride mechanical bulls or get minor reconstructive dental/facial surgery (Bristol doesn't need someone to watch Tripp when she gets manicures since he loves the smell of nail polish remover so much, she puts him on her lap so he can get a good sniff).

Bristol would never complain about how hard it is to be a single mother because she is a hard ass worker and because she's so humble. In fact, Bristol is so humble, she'd be the first person to tell you that she's the absolute most humble person on the entire planet.

Clue: make lots of money but not be "tied down" to a work schedule. WTF? I doubt seriously that a make-up artist hired for a movie has the luxury of a flexible schedule. She would not be able to just call in sick the day of the filming because Tripp has a cold!

So Tripp is a failure at age 3 or 4 or 5 (whenever date he popped out). Given the unpleasant utterances his mother unleashes publicly ("big middle finger"), Tripp probably gets a regular tongue lashing from his greedy, lazy, ignorant mother.

Bristol's little ticket to fame and money was Tripp. And he bombed. The abstinence gig flat-lined. Dance and acting, both tried and flopped.

I've lived in Hollywood and when the cameras aren't flashing out glamour photos, the actors, musicians, scriptwriters, costume designers, makeup artists, etc., all are honing their craft, taking their work seriously. This ethos and hard work underlies the glitzy surface; anyone in it learns to set foolishness aside if they want to be taken seriously. A growing-up, if you will.

That, with the fact that homophobia and bigotry are deadly unacceptable in a community that is a community of successful and accomplished lesbians, gays, people of every race, ethnic and religious group imagineable. In fact, is Bristol gets involved there, she'll have new eye and mind opening experiences that hopefully will undo alot of mama's rigid hatreds that she simply parrots now. George Costanza: What about being a sports commentator? You know how I always make those witty comments during a game?
Jerry: You do make good comments.
    George Costanza: So?
Jerry: Well, they generally give those jobs to ex-ballplayers and people, you know, in broadcasting.
George Costanza: [pause] Well that's really not fair.
    Jerry: I know.

No, fuck YOU you judgmental asshole troll! (who keeps repeating the same word "judgemental" over and over, again.) I don't have a college degree, because I chose not to get one. I have good a job, and I am happy with it. I have NO regrets. And, yet I still think Bri$tol is a lazy bitch, who lacks work ethic. She's a quitter like her mother. Media Insider here crawling out from under her rock ---

The LAST thing Bristol did while she was in Hollyweird (especially on Dancing with the Stars) was make "friends" with anybody in makeup or wardrobe. They worked their asses off 24/7 to conceal her pregnancy with Tristan of whatever the newest kid's name is, and all she did was given them constant shit about it. The use of the gorilla suit that one week was their quiet little payback to the bitch.

I think this little PR plant to float the idea of her wanting to work behind the scenes is born, as usual, out of her jealousy and obsession. When somebody is successful at something and they don't like her (because of her completely toxic and insane personality) she likes to try to commandeer what they do and claim it for herself. As in, "I'll do what they do better than them and that will show them!"

Don't think so. Do you trust a woman with such piss poor judgement about her own many cosmetic procedures to do ANYTHING to your own face or hair?

And how on earth would anybody hire her? She doesn't show up to work, when she does she's text messaging all the time or yelling at her assistants about her kids, and she has the IQ and focus of a gnat. . . and that's insulting to a gnat! I highly doubt she could even master coloring hair -- that requires a certain amount of study and artistry, to match people's colors or cover their grays. This girl didn't even graduate from "real high school," just "mommy's phone call to the local Board of Education high school."

Face it, Bristey. You are the world's biggest loser. Set up a show around promoting THAT and you'd do fine, girlfriend! :)

The "all the kids in Alaska have houses at age 20" cracks me up. I don't know why these Lower 48 commenters think this is true. I do know a few kids with houses at 20 but that's usually because Mom and Dad purchase a new home and sell the old one to the child, on the cheap.

I don't know any 20-year old real estate moguls here in Wasilla and I process loans for a living. Not too many 20 year-olds with mortgages, at least that go across my desk.

What actress would allow that slutty little hillbilly to put on her make-up or to do her hair? Just look at examples of Brisket's work--- her mother's rat's nest for starters, plus Brisket's own homely hairdo. Brisket's makeup is straight out of 80's junior-high, which is the era her mother is stuck in for perpetuity. If Brisket doesn't have the moxy and the "stick-to-itiveness" to excel and graduate high school, then she'll never make it through cosmetology school. She's not willing to invest her time and hard work into something for a long-term payoff, and it shows through her actions of her wanting to get knocked up at 16. She is still a child emotionally and intellectually. She'd fit in with the 6 yr olds in first grade who want to be astronauts, firemen or cowboys. Look at Brisket---- she wants to be a makeup artist to the stars! LOL I can see one of those stars telling her "You better do my makeup a helluva lot better than yours, Miss Hicksville, because you look like a two-dollar whore, girl!"

    Grit, Tenacity and Fortitude
    by Steve Bannon
    11/21/2011

I repeatedly get asked: “Why would you make a movie about Sarah Palin–what could we possibly not already know about her?”

The answer is quite simply, “everything that’s important.”

Sarah Palin is what I describe as a “McLuhanesque” figure—one of the most media-saturated people in the world, relentlessly covered by the 24/7 news cycle, yet her real story is there hiding in plain sight, never having been told.

When The Undefeated starts in the late 80s, Sarah Palin is working on a small commercial fishing vessel she co-owns with her husband Todd, who is a blue-collar union member, working on the North Slope. The daughter of a school teacher, she is not part of the social, political, or cultural elite in the remote Mat-Su Valley, 40 miles northeast of Anchorage. In fact, Alaska at that time, was still a wilderness with the rough-hewen culture of a frontier state.

She is essentially out of the loop in a state that is out of the loop.

Sarah Palin is the little guy in “Walmart Nation:” just as obscure, just as powerless, just as insignificant. And that is precisely why she is a role model for young men and women. She didn’t have a rich daddy, she didn’t marry a wealthy or connected husband, she doesn’t have an Ivy League union card. What she did have was the grit, tenacity and fortitude to accomplish great things against almost insurmountable odds.

First she wanted to go into nursing, then business, then journalism, the reality acting, now cosmetology.

Somewhere in there she was going to study to be a realtor.

She needs a skill SarahPAC can pay for. Doing Mom's hair and makeup would count. And SarahPAC would pay for her to travel with Mom, to be on hand to do her hair and makeup. The hair shouldn't be too hard. She can style the wigs when convenient and then just attach them later. And often Sarah's style is achieved by dropping the wig on the floor or holding it in front of a fan. Fun.

Bristol, surely you know that there are no fast passes to be able to do hair, nails or make-up? You HAVE to complete schooling, and you HAVE to pass state board exams both written and witnessed practical application (with emphasis in hygiene, but also technique and knowledge). You just can't take a few classes, get your mom to buy you a degree, and then use a connection to land you a job working on "the stars".

Like others have said, an actor's bread and butter is their face and hair. There is a reason they pay huge money for cosmetic upkeep: they want THE VERY BEST in the business. NOT the privileged daughter of the most annoying woman on the face of the planet. No.

It also involves a surprising amount of chemistry as well as health/licensing laws.

Since the potential for permanent burning people's skin or inadvertently blinding them, passing along cooties or worse, is part of the territory, there are quite a few of the types of government regulations involved in being a beautician or make up specialist that TeePeeers hate.

Sarah Palin's daughter would not be allowed to work under these types of socialist Big Brother conditions.

Things must be different in Hollywood.

Here in Chicago, new stylists compete for positions as assistants/servants in the high end salons. If they have the right look and personality and they are highly recommended by the school they get an apprenticeship. For 1 year they serve coffee, gopher for lunch or what ever is needed, sweep up hair, hang up clients clothes, straighten up magazines, and all the other sh*t work that the stylists and clients demand of them. They graduate to working at the reception desk and restocking products.

Then the next year they wash hair, stand next to stylists while they cut hair, and maybe after months of that, they will be allowed to blow dry someone's hair. This is all for menial salary and a very very rare tip. Then, if there is a chair, they may become a part-time stylist.

And they must not cause any trouble. Personality counts for a lot and does work ethic and ability to learn.

Not sure what the colorists go through, but they have all had specialized training and are very experienced.

Have a good friend whose daughter is going through this and I also saw it as a customer in a salon I frequented for 10+ years. It just fascinated me, the dynamics of it all and the desire to get a chair at a high end salon. It was all about the goal to build up a solid book of business.

Can't imagine that salons that cater to Hollywood celebs would hire new beauty school grads. Nor would the movie/TV industry.

O/T slightly, but another Paylin f*ckup, Roger Ailes is furious at Granny Grifter yet once again.

What for you ask? Paylin made her pathetic, chickenshit excuses for not running for President on Mark Levin's show.

And Ailes was really pissed, and called her on the carpet.

Gee whiz Granny Grifter, you f*cked up again, and pissed off Roger.
We all know he thinks you are the world's lamest idiot, and we are also notice you won't go on O'Reilly because he might actually ask you a real question.

You and Bristol are such losers, just sit down and shut the hell up.

hey you IDIOT at 7:18, you actually think that some of the indies, left, libs, progressives, and thinking conservatives would somehow watch the crappy DEFEATED movie?

And if we did watch it, we'd have a sudden pang of sadness for cutting Paylin to ribbons in the media?

You actually think we give any credence to your ancient book called the bible, and it's somehow supposed to "convict" us that we are wrong? What kool-aid are you drinking? Laced with LSD or peyote bud?

You can continue to believe that Granny Grifter the Queen Idiot is anointed by a sky fairy to be some important thing, but I'd say she's about ready for Wasilla dog catcher, or maybe a garbage route.

I would love to sit down and have a coffee with you and disabuse you of your monumental delusions.

There isn't ONE thinking intelligent lib, progressive, or independent who thinks $ister $arah is anything but a feckless, ignorant, bloviating idiot with delusions of narcissistic grandeur

And why in hell would you waste your time on this blog?

After what she did to her own face, I don't think I'd trust Bristol's judgement in making me look good. She keeps this up and she'll end up looking like the cat woman.

Ahh the stench of troll! Bristol has lost her mind. She's been an actress, absitnance advocate, model in Vogue Magazine, accomplished Author, ownder of a consulting firm, dancing with the stars thrird place loser, reality show star, and tent revivalist.

So cutting hair should be a piece of cake, right? There are five things that will not bode well for this career choice.

1 It's extremely hard work, requiring a skill set, self discipline, social skills, knowing your limits and the customer's expectations. She doesn't have any of these qualities

    2) The hours involved are not conducive to making one's own schedule. If the place is high quality, you're working at least ten hours a day, and even more on weekends.

    3) The industry is known to cater to artistic types who happen to be predominately homosexual, huge minus for Bristol, she's known to pick fights on facebook and in bars, using foul derogitory language. Bristol has no artistic talent and doesn't tolerate nor play well with people she's jealous of.

    4) It takes a lot of class time, hands on learning on all types of models, with different types of hair that require knowledge and special skill sets. Lerning isn't Bristol's forte'

    5) It's a job, requiring things like, work, which Bristol has a track record of quitting or not even trying.

And who's going to watch the kids? She can't take them to work with all the chemicals.

I think she should just keep having more babies, she's really good at it!

I vaguely remember back when Bristol moved to Arizona the first time, she told some gossip rag that she was going to attend college there. Never happened. Not that I was surprised--anyone looking at her transcripts would see that her diploma was handed to her, not earned. So it was all BS--as, no doubt, is this tale

But it's a laughably weird story to put out. First of all, these kinds of jobs are given to people who are good at what they do, not dipshits with a fading name. Secondly, the hours are most definitely NOT flexible. Erratic, yes; flexible, no.

Please note that I'm not a bot. I love this site and appreciate very much Gryphen's time and energy doing the media's job of exposing the full extent of the misddeds of Sarah Palin, an incompetent, intolerant, petty, mentally deficient liar .

But, I wish you wouldn't post articles about Bristol. Your ridiculing her fuels the notion that the problem with the Palins is that everyone picks on them. It's also mean-spirited.

  189. She thinks she can graduate from beauty school and right off the bat, with no experience whatsoever go straight into doing movie make-up and hair?

Do I really need to make any additional comments?

Bristol won't even make it through cosmetology school. I haven't read all the comments yet, so I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out or not. In cosmetology school, you also have to study the anatomy of the face, structure of hair, and other such things. It's not just a matter of learning how to give shampoos or haircuts. As an example, you also have to know the correct way to massage facial muscles, so you don't damage them. And then once you have gone to school for the requisite number of hours, you have to take your state board exams to get your license. This includes a written test that is at least several hours long, plus the practical exam, which shows you do know how to shampoo, cut hair, etc.

Can you really see Bristol lasting through approximately a year of this?

Could this cosmetology business Brisket wants to set up be a front for Todd Palin's prostitution ring?

Todd almost got away with his massage prostitution ring and maybe trying to set up shop again.

He is a sex addict up there in Alaska and likes to sample the goods for free.
