And the affection and closeness shared by this family is one of them.
In my personal opinion that speaks volumes about this President's character.
Let's do a little comparison shall we?
The Perry's |
The Bachmann's |
The Paul family |
This was literally the best picture of the Santoum family that I could find. And yeah, I would cry if I was Rick Santorum's daughter too. |
The |
The Huntsman family |
Okay so what do you think? Believe it or not, I did NOT pick the worst pictures of these political families. And in fact I think that many of them, like Romney's, Huntsman's, and Ron Paul's look very happy and close knit.
But no matter WHAT you think of them, you have to admit that they all look far more well adjusted than THIS family ever did.
(With the possible exception of the Bachmann family of course.)
Where the hell is Todd? Taking the picture?
ReplyDeleteI have lived in Texas for 12 years....I have never seen a picture of Rick the Dicks kids. Just saying...
ReplyDeleteAnd poor Anita never smiles....
Where's the birth certificate Sarah?
ReplyDeleteDang that insufferable bitch couldn't even hold trig for one hillbilly pic.
ReplyDeleteI would prefer to be a kind and positive person whenever possible, but (HOLY SHIT) those bacmann people look scary as hell ... A lot like that evil chucky doll, or some psycho clown serial killer in a bad B movie.
ReplyDeleteToo bad for them that the eyes really are the window to the soul. Yikes!
Malia is drop-dead gorgeous. And so tall for such a young girl. But you can tell that she has incredible poise and doesn't mind being tall.
ReplyDeleteSasha is adorable.
Poor Track
ReplyDeleteWow....THERE'S a special needs "mom." One has to wonder if she wiped her hand on her pants after touching Trig.
ReplyDeleteCheck out the body language on ALL of 'em. That's one "happy" family, all right!
Family picture? Where's Todd?
ReplyDeleteTrack does not look happy. Marcus looks, well, like a not funny Cameron (plus where are the other 23 kids?) the picture of the Santorums kills me every time.
ReplyDeleteNot ashamed to admit...Huntsmans family is ... um .... very good looking.
I want to add that, in my opinion, the Obama family is the most beautiful first family ever; both inside and out.
ReplyDeleteFirst Photo: Gorgeous Happy Family
ReplyDeleteMiddle photos: Looks about right!
Last photo:
"American Horror Story"...
I feel for those two baby boys! She is truly 'Scarah' in that photo. Bristle is getting that same look: Super Creepy!
OK, I'm going to say it. I think on the face of it all of these family photos look great. Even the Palins. If I didn't know anything about any of the Palin family members, I would think the photo is of just another nice-looking family. The Obamas do appear to be an extremely well-adjusted, loving, happy family. I love having them in the White House and hope they remain there for another five years. But I think it's going a little too far to start comparing family photos of all of the prospective candidates. Maybe stick to comparing the issues, behaviors and values that the prospective candidates themselves represent.
ReplyDeleteSarah, say "flabbergasted" on Fox. We dare you.
ReplyDeleteHahahaha = Willer is showin' of the booty. A chip off the ol' "pimpin' it" Palin block.
ReplyDeleteMy BEAUTIFUL First Family! Compare them with the last.
ReplyDeletePerry's wife looks scared to death...look at her body posture!
ReplyDeleteAnd I could go on and on with all photos....where's TODD in the Palin "family" photo? A picture speaks a thousand words, as they say.
Scary in some instances. Except the Obama family photo. (as ALL photos of them reveal...a REAL family, with love & nurturing front & center)
And some people say that Bachman's husband is NOT gay? hahahahahahahahahaha
ReplyDeletehahahahahahahahahaha
hahahahahahahahahaha
hahahahahahaha! HA!
ALL of my friends and relatives who are gay just crack up whenever he gets any press. Just come out of the pantry please Mr. Bachman.....it's ok!
@800pm
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Troll: Not too bright are you?
"A picture is worth a thousand words"...
BTW you have terrible sentence structure; kinda reminds me of Scarah's writing.
Doesn't Todd know how to work the self timer mechanism so he can be in the picture? He can take the TV pictures for Sarah to appear on Fox. Or does he? Couldn't they just photoshop him in the background and pretend that he is still part of the family?
ReplyDeleteI think that the photo of Marcus pretty much settles that question, too, also.

Nice try....but so transparent. Either you posted this out of pure ignorance & wearing glasses that are either rose-colored or not your own prescription, or, you are a troll. Trying to sound like a REAL person. If you are NOT a troll and I have offended you, I apologize. But I must say then...LOOK AT THE PHOTOS AND THEIR BODY LANGUAGE!!! How can you miss it?
Michelle is getting prettier!
ReplyDeleteYet another thing for the Lake Lucille Lunatic to seethe over.
Good.
:)
Gryphen, I think it's pretty unkind to make a smartass remark about a special needs girl who doesn't have the chance of a normal life-span. Say what you will about Santorum, but leave their youngest daughter out of it.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, is Bachman sitting on her husband's lap???
ReplyDeleteThere was no picture of Newt. Couldn't decide what "family picture" to use?
Rick Perry's son looks like a very unhappy person.
The Obama family is so beautiful, it almost seems they shouldn't be compared to these others.
I have seen a few pictures of the Bachmann family, and Michelle always sits on Marcus' lap. Maybe it's just me, but that seems really really weird.
ReplyDeleteI have a great Idea for THE GRIFTER!
ReplyDeletePitch her reality show as the new "The Riches"
Remember they were Gypsy grifters that lied and stole and killed down to the littlest one...
instead of "The Riches" it could be "The Palins"
The Palins
Perfect! I bet that would sell!
Hey Sarah where's Toddy?
ReplyDeleteOops, sore subject. That may have been the day he was banging Shailey.
I guess we can check the date when Shailey gets her info recovered from her computer.

Um, excuse me but....WTH are you talking about? The daughter in the photo that is crying (photo of Santorum's resignation speech)is NOT his youngest daughter, who was born with Trisomy 18.

Dang Sarah what the hell you teaching your daughters?
ReplyDeleteWillow has her ass stuckout in the air like a dog in heat trying to attract a male dog with her ass scent.
Stay classy Willow.
How funny, that must be the first picture of Tripp not sucking on a pacifier.
ReplyDeleteMarcus looks so gay in that picture! No offense to gays.
ReplyDeleteThat pic of Huntsman's family reminds me of this one.

Gryphen, I think it's pretty unkind to make a smartass remark about a special needs girl who doesn't have the chance of a normal life-span.
ReplyDeleteWhat? Santorum's daughter who has Trisomy 18 and is not expected to live a normal lifespan is 3 years old. This is a different daughter, who is at least 10 in this photo.
Oh, and BTW, Santorum has 7 children. This photo only shows 3 of them, and not the 3 year old.
ReplyDeleteI'm 8:00. I have to laugh at you guys who think I'm a troll. If only you knew.
ReplyDeleteWhere is Track's baby?
ReplyDeleteOh, Track's girlfriend is only 1 month pregnant and is not in this picture. She is not considered family yet until Track and Britta jump the broom during this winter season.
Jumping the broom, oh that's hill billie shit for Britta aint allowed in the Palin house until Track and Britta get married by her daddy the pastor who thought his daughter Britta was a fat virgin who just likes to eat I guess. He didn't know Track raped Britta after giving Britta hilly billy foreplay refreshments.... ummmm wine coolers and is now pregnant with another Palin bast... I mean baby.
ok 8pm maybe you are just an eternal optimist but we here are used to the Palin Fairy Tale Trolls. I hope you are not surprised by the response.
ReplyDeleteBESIDES: The WHOLE GOP line-up is beyond embarrassing so why would we bother.."to comparing the issues, behaviors and values.." of ANY of these ass-hats? Besides, this isn't your blog. Where are your manners?

ReplyDeleteYou lying troll. the palins look like hillbillies. yuckface looks extra manly.
Rick Perry's wife looks very uptight, and her body language is all protective and inward looking. Very sad.
ReplyDeleteThe Bachmann tribe to me look happy, but I know all too well the blind certainty that gives them their reason to smile
The Santorum picture is the saddest one of all. Mrs Rick looks like she's ready to get her teeth drilled, and the kids are just so unhappy. Reminds me of many "Quivering" families I've known of
http://www.nolongerquivering.com
The Palin kids are trying to present a brave front, but they all know the depth of anger and disfunction that surrounds their Mom and her behavior. I feel sad for those kids, having such awful examples set for them.
Todd, why aren't you even in the picture? Metaphor for something?
$arah, that's another word for your next rant.

I can NEVER see a photo of Marcus Bachmann without a certain catchy little tune popping into my head...
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BW0ubEORKy8&feature=related
Just sayin'...
But where is Toad--I mean Todd?
ReplyDeleteI feel like a silly ol' fool but I printed the Obama family photo and put it in a small frame and placed it among this year's incoming holiday cards. One more sparkle of joy.
ReplyDeleteThe Santorum family 'portrait' was very telling with two of the children looking on the verge of tears. Imagine 24/7 of that man as one's parent. shudder
Great work again G, very interesting.
I'm a native born Minnesotan who still lives in Minnesota. I'm also gay.
ReplyDeleteThough, ahem, Marcus is way more gay than out gay me.
Plus the Bachmanns are already in a gay marriage. Ha, so much for the tea ballot initiative re: marriage in Minnesota in 2012.
Yet I won't judge Marcus and Michele. If he's happily married to an alpha dominatrix, well, good for him, good for her, good for them.
Now if they would allow for gay marriages for the rest of us Minnesotans, it'd be great. Rather than them hogging it for just some people in the tea taliban.
OT but did I see Bristol "star" in a TV commercial tonight? It was for BluRay or similar, during the Letterman show, CBS, I think.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else see it?
Wait a minute, Piper looks pretty old in that picture, when was it taken ? If it was recent, the kid on Bristol's lap is NOT Tripp, at least not the Tripp she paraded arounded LA with a pacifier in his mouth.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's Tristan ? Her 3rd kid ? But then, if there are 3 young;uns in the family photo, then they would have to explain where the 3rd kid came from.
I guess tripp must have lost the 'coin toss' to be in the photo.
Adn that furniture looks like soemthing you'd see in a doctor's office; or a sports facility.
ReplyDeleteHmmm.......
Where's the person that photo-shopped her into the Iowa marathon picture ? He wasn't available to photo-shop Todd into the family Xmas picture ?
ReplyDeleteWonder how much she had to pay her kids in appearance fees to get them to show up for the photo ? I bet she cut some big checks.
And who is the kid on Bristol's lap looking at out of frame ?
Most of the families have color coordinated their clothes for the photoshoot; the Bachmanns in yellow, the Huntsmans in dark red for example, but the Palin's clothes are a mix of red, pink, orange and purple. Clashing colors to match their family's clashing personalities I guess.
ReplyDeleteDamn, there's no doubting that one Bachmann daughter on the right is Marcus' . Holy shit, that girl is Marcus with a wig, poor thing.
ReplyDeleteIs it me but do Santorum's kids look kind, of well,...inbred or something is really off. They remind me of the Duggar kids, much more than Romney's...his family is gorgeous. Hunstman's too.
Big Juicy for President: Run Broad Run.
ReplyDeleteToad the Pimp for Vice President: Hump Toad Hump.
Marcus Bachmann is the human equivalent of a Village People song... Seriously...Thou dost protest too much Marcus....
ReplyDeleteAnd the Palin pic... why doesn't Sarah hold Trigger? i wonder if Sarah keeps Piper close to the hip in order to control what Piper says. Little Piper has seen a lot that Sarah probably doesn't want her to talk about.
Huntsman's family looks nice..
Perry's family looks like they hate each other...
But the Palin clan is clearly the most twisted family...aside from Bachmann's gay husband...
toesinthesand,
ReplyDeleteYour link doesn't work, but you're right. Bella is only three. Still, I think it's pretty crummy to make fun of the children when they have no choice about being dragged along to these circuses. The portrait of the Obamas is lovely and initmate without involving the children of other candidates. It's an extreme ad hominem attack and adds nothing to the debate about the issues.
Loved the photo of the Palins on that stunning IKEA couch- so comfy-looking. Thought there was someone behind Sarah and then I realized it was more road kill on her head! It's a sad and telling portrait. And, uh, where's Todd?
ReplyDeleteHey Mrs. Todd Palin,
ReplyDeleteWhere are your Belmont boobs? You know, the ones you bring out when you want to look hot and influence old redneck geezers.
Have CRAZY day.
I always thought that Santorum family photo was a photoshopped! You mean that little girl is actually his daughter? Weird.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing I will say is that I don't see anything to quibble about with the Romney family photograph. They look relaxed and happy, nothing, at least in the photograph, that would scare young children. Which mostly fits my overall perception is that ol' Mitt is the best of a very sorry lot this year, and that his real problem is not being crazy enough for the core Peerublican demographic, let alone the Teabagger kooks.
ReplyDeletePS. I am not a troll either.
Shouldn't Willow be toting a kiddo by now?
ReplyDeleteWhere is the happy family photo of the Cains?
ReplyDeleteAre either of Bachmann's sons gay? Is Perry's son gay? Is Santorum's son gay? Normally not an issue, but when you compare the anti-gay venom coming out of their parents mouths to the photos of their sons, may gaydar goes up and it leaves me asking lots of questions. What if their parents' screeds are merely a projection of what they are unable to control within their own families??
And yes, that is the best Obama family photo ever. There is no way to fake the degree of peace and contentment on each of their faces. It is not exterior smiles, it is the interior happiness that glows outward, something that can not be staged.
Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Santorum, by contrast, exude the stress and internal unhappiness that each presumably feels. Each person in both photos (Perry and Santorum) seems to be saying, through body language, 'I am stuck in this relationship'.
5:15 am. I don't agree that Romney is the best of the bunch of GOP candidates thus far. He's just like the rest of them. Right now he's trying to equate his missionary stint in France in 1967-68 with what US soldiers experienced in Vietnam, which says a lot, and it's all negative, about Romney to me. He "served his church" while US soldiers served their country. France was not a third world country drowning in a dreadful war in that time period. (See "theobamadiary" today.) I spent the same two years in Paris as an exchange student - wonderful experience and certainly adequate plumbing!
ReplyDeleteHere is a pic of the entire Santorum family:

They look happier than the Perrys, whom I could find NO family pics of other the one Gryphen posted (and that one was from 2000!)

ReplyDelete"And it is our dear Sarah and her beautiful and exemplary family, a family that has been viciously and mercilessly attacked by corrupt members of the establishment from both Parties, it is Sarah and her family who are a model and an exemplar of the redeeming remedy that may yet heal this land of ours."
"Dear Lord, grant us in 2012 a true leader, who is neither a Democrat nor (primarily) a Republican, but rather is an American, a Constitutional-Conservative American!"
"Dear Lord, please make the Palins the next First Family of America!!"
"Dear Lord, in thy great and gentle mercy please grant us SARAH in 2012!!!"
Now that is funny shit.
ROFL OMG...Marcus, give up the fight and just come out, buddy.

Please! Are you dense or something? Where have you gotten the impression that the Obama family has clashing personalities? Do you know why the majority of people who frequent this blog have the opinions they have of Sarah Palin and her family? Because she has given them reason to! I've never heard Sasha or Malia call each other inappropriate nicknames (Piper Diaper, for example) or shove each other's faces in a birthday cake on national tv. Have there been stories about infidelity within the Obama marriage? Because I have yet to hear one. And since President Obama has just come out saying that neither of his daughters will be getting a Facebook account, you can count on them not having a homophobic outburst in public like Willow. I could keep going on, if you'd like, but that wouldn't look too well for you or your girl Sarah Palin. So sad that Sarah Palin doesn't know what the purpose of a family is, to support each other and lift each other up, not berate them and forsaken them in their time of need, as she repeatedly does with her children. She has no family values!
Where is Todd?
ReplyDeleteWhere are Trig's shoes (Again....or STILL?
Where is Track's wife and child.
What an incomplete, hillbilly photo.
Meet the Palins....LOL.
Such an opposite of the Obama's...they have class.
Haha. I love Track "Get me outta here" Palin. He's my favorite of all the Republicans. Bristle has that Scientology brainwashed look.
ReplyDeleteI am pained for Santorum. I feel sorry for him! He's a jerk, none of his ideas are his own and he doesn't know how to think with originality anyway, and he doesn't know how to earn his own money.
The Bachmans make me laugh. Could Marcus look more gay? I like their picture, but it's one that everyone points to about the gay grampa. "G" for glitter!
Huntman-- cute pic, but too much leg on that one chick. It annoys me when Christans do that. She looks fine, but a little more modesty and she can still bs very pretty.
The Mittens look disorganized.
Our first family? They look great as always!
Family. Dysfunctional family poses for family photo, without Todd. He must be camera guy. Apparently no thought or preparation was given before clicking the shutter.
ReplyDeleteWould it have been too much effort to comb Trig's hair or put shoes on the little tykes? What a messy, thoughtless photo. Any way you look at this "family", including Todd, exudes the epitome of uneducated white trash. Yee haw!
To be honest, with the exception of the Bachmanns & Santorums, the GOP candidates families look pretty good. The Perry kids clearly are closer to their Dad than their Mom who looks uncomfortable in her own family photo and doesn't know what to do with her hands so she's just weirdly wrapping them around each other. The Huntsmans were my favourite because it was the one that looked the most genuine out of the GOP pack. The way Jon Huntsman and his wife are leaning towards each other as they hold hands is great body language. Plus the diversity in their family is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThe Palins? Well....where's Todd? Who takes a family photo without the Father? Especially for a reality show? None of the kids are leaning in or touching Palin except Trig who had to sit in her lap. Track looks like he's 3 seconds from leaving the room and can't wait any longer.
Santorum.....I wouldn't want him as our President. Read this...
ReplyDeleteIn 1996, a son, Gabriel, was born prematurely and lived for only two hours.
The couple brought the deceased infant home from the hospital and introduced the dead child to their living children as "your brother Gabriel" and slept with the body overnight before returning it to the hospital.
Wow.
6:44AM...I think you might of jumped the gun. The comment you are referring to was talking about the PALIN's...not President Obama.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should re-read the comment.
To be fair, it can be very tough to get a group picture where everyone looks good, especially when there are young kids involved. That being said, don't Marcus and Michelle look alot alike in that picture? If you put a dark wig on him and slimmed his face a bit, I think that they would look very similar. Weird.

...............I think it is a creepy photo. The boy sitting on dad's shoulders is too big for that, and the daughter looks like she is set up to take the wife's place and the blouse makes the daughter look pregnant. Then the wife is making another kid sit on the shoulders of another son.
I guess at least the family doesn't make the extra kids sit on top of the car on family vacations.
@ 8:00 am
ReplyDeleteOops, my bad...with all these trolls lately I guess I had a Palinesque knee-jerk reaction. Sorry :)
The Palin photo was used for an article in Parade magazine on Mother's Day weekend. The article reported Palin saying she did all the housework, laundry, playdates, cares for Trig and Tripp, makes their bottles. SOS..she hunts their food, cooks it, no babysitters either per Palin. She did this in front of the reporter juggling two blackberries. Palin's mythological self.
ReplyDeleteThis pic was by a pro, no Todd and appears to promote they are regular folk... Just finishing laundry....yard work not like them elites who would dress up, put thought into a cohesive coordinated family photo for major publication. Ma Sarah took a breather from changing diapers. If I were Todd I'd be pissed, or the nannys, or relatives who help when she is gone.
Gryphen, I think it's pretty unkind to make a smartass remark about a special needs girl who doesn't have the chance of a normal life-span. Say what you will about Santorum, but leave their youngest daughter out of it.
ReplyDelete-----------------------------------
@8:49 PM:
I just read something about Rick Santorum's sick, and youngest daughter the other day. In the article, it said she was two years old. Either the girl who is crying in the picture is a different daughter, or that's a really big two-year old.
7:06-- I don't think it's weird. Keeping the dead infant for more than over night is weird. Grief after the loss of a baby is hard. The kids saw Mom pregnant, and then no baby? I think they were hurting, brought him home so the kids could settle into acceptance, "he was born and died," and they wouldn't be expecting him to show up. No doubt Mrs. S. was having issues hormonally. I doubt that she slept that night.
ReplyDeleteI've met Huntsman's wife and she is really a bimbo. She was a keynote speaker at a women's conference, where the majority of women in attendance were single mothers.
ReplyDeleteMary Kate was saying how she didn't know anything about running a household when she first got married, and how Jon assigned the responsibility to her to manage their checkbook - and how that was overwhelming to her.
Then she talked about how she met a single mother once (seriously she met ONE single mother)and how she thought they might not have anything in common since Mary Kate has values such as getting married and raising children with a male role model and a female role model and how could anyone manage without the other role model? Mary Kate said she was pleasantly surprise to learn that the single mother had a lot in common with her (no horns or pitchfork in her hands) and how she admired how well the mother was doing it all on her own, and that she thought the single mother was a "good" person and she wishes that the woman will be able to find a suitable husband so she could focus on the female part of her role.
Also, Mary Kate mentioned that it was her husband's decision to adopt the two foreign children. That sounded odd to me. It didn't seem that she had maternal attachment to the girls, and emphasized how the adopted children were bonded to the older daughter (an adult)and saw (who would be her sister) as a surrogate mother figure.
That makes me wonder if Huntsman adopted for his political image rather than a decision made between he and his wife.
Palin and her family lack decorum. Carl Rove nailed it she lacks gravitas. Whether at home, work, faux family vacation, traveling abroad the Palins exhibit a void of both.
ReplyDeleteWorse they ridicule people who have what they do not posess. White trash people...
Michelle sitting on Marcus' lap - it is as if he was a ventrioloqous and she was his wooden dummy.

When was that Palin picture taken? Tripp/Trig look like it might have been one from last year - or even a year before that! (OTOH, Piper sure seems BIG...)
ReplyDeleteAlso, too, isn't it before Bri$tol got her new mask on?
Track looks menacing back there.
Where is Toad?
Huntsman's family looks like fun but I dont think anyof them wll ever beat the strength and closeness of the Palins.
ReplyDeleteWhat's funny is, the Palins are probably the strongest of all of them. I'd be interested to know if the others see all their family members every single day.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you feel sorry for Trig and Tripp? They couldn't be part of a more loving family. At least his family doesn't make jokes at special needs kids (olympics)
ReplyDeleteThat was from the mothers day article in parade. It was Sarah-centric. Todd was in another picture in the article.
ReplyDeleteSo sad that Sarah Palin doesn't know what the purpose of a family is, to support each other and lift each other up, not berate them and forsaken them in their time of need, as she repeatedly does with her children. She has no family values!
ReplyDelete----
Who has been berated or forsaken? What are you talking about? There aren't more supportive family members then her children. They defend one another against hateful remarks. They are a family. All families are unique. How often do you think all those other public figures see their families - extended and immediate? Because the Palins see each other DAILY.
And yes, there have been tabloid stories about Obamas cheating. Larry Sinclair (Ithink that his name) was trying to get a gay rumor between himself and O off the ground (obviously he has issues) and MIchelle's infamou outings and bodyguard stories.
Personal lives do not matter. Professional record does. Get over your hateful selves.

We often had children come to see the baby or to hold the baby in their arms for a short period - shortly after birth (or at death), but the baby is taken to the morgue very quickly afterwards- rigormortis starts to set in, the body leaks fluids. In my experiences, nobody has ever removed a dead baby from the hospital to take home for the siblings to see. However, the children would be encouraged to come to the hospital.

No one expects everyone to be on the same page as everyone else on a blog. But even folks who style themselves as "regulars" here can sometimes make trollish remarks. I'm sure I have from time to time.
You might not get "troll" flack if you signed your name to your comment (don't bother giving the "I was too lazy to log in" excuse, that's sooooo lame).
Dang, with the exception of the first photo, I do believe you've gotten half the population of alabamastan!
