You Tube viral video of the day: Gay Dads Learn They Are About To Be Grandparents.

I worried about posting this because of attracting some homophobic comments, but their joy is just SO infectious that I decided to take the risk.

Besides my daughter insisted that I put it up. So you know how that goes.

By the way let me point out to all of the homophobes out there who seem to believe that "teh gay" is contagious, and spread from one homosexual to a heterosexual like the common cold.

Clearly these two gay gentleman raised their child with love, acceptance, and a constant exposure to their alternative lifestyle. Yet despite all of that they still grew up to be a "breeder."

Clearly this whole "gay agenda" thing has a few bugs yet to be worked out.

I'm going to stop crying because I can't see my keyboard.

Don't you wish EVERY child had this welcome into the world?

May their beautiful family be blessed by the fates.

I can't for the life of me see why anyone finds issue with anyone's sexual preference. We are all people, we all express joy, happiness, pain and desire. Being a person who has been with both men and women I tend to think that we all have a "little bit of both" inside of us.

This video was beautiful and thanks for sharing. I love to see any couple express joy in looking forward to welcoming a new generation of their family.

A little OT but I'm watching 20/20 and they are at the White House. The interview is awesome but the Christmas Trees! OMG, there are Christmas trees everywhere you look. Sara? Are you reading this? You might want to check out the Christmas trees at the White House - you know that Christian hating Muslim's place? And you might take some decorating tips from them too - there are far more than one lonely ornament on a plastic tree like at your place. So who is dumping on Christmas again?

Doesn't this say it all.....such love is in that family, just think how great this world would be if all parents were like that. I know my girls are blind to all the bullshit out there and having faith that most of the knuckle draggers will be dying off soon. Our children are the hope, I have to believe that.

    Thanks for post...

So did you catch bigot Hannity and his "HOLIDAY SPECIAL" last night? How could he join the war on Christmas? I thought, like Congress, Fox employees signed an oath to never say the word holiday, only Christmas. Sheesh.
My husband was watching Discovery yesterday, and they were inverstigating the birth of Jesus. Imagine...as far as they can tell, he was born in April, and the date was moved to December, not by God, but by a theologian who was trying to co-opt a pagan solstice festival. I'm sure Sarah would have names for the researchers as well.

Except for the dropping of the "F" bomb, lol, which I think has more to do with our generation (Gen X) than this grandpa-to-be's gender preference.

My gay friends, whether they are men or women, seem to exhibit a larger capacity for compassion, nurturing, and love than many other people. (I know that saying even positive things in a general manner can be a bit of a stereotype, but this really has been my personal observation over the years.)

And it's not just people that my gay friends are extraordinarly caring towards. In the animal rights movement I was part of in a different state than I live in now, two of the most active - and effective - people in it, were two gay men (a couple). They also fostered children from at-risk homes.

Gryphen, I'm so glad you posted this!!!! I saw it last week and my first thought (besides, OMG will they adopt a chubby black girl from Texas?!!?) was I just know Gryphen is going to post this!

I'm so thrilled to learn they have a healthy grandson!

I believe that one is born gay. I'm not one of those that believe you can be sucked into it.

    Gryph,
It's safe to say that there was no jumping for joy by Sarah Palin when any of her kids announced a pregnancy. She saw then as killing her personna and a liability to her politically. She still is in that mode today. Hey, Sarah, when was the last time you took Tripp to McDonalds just the two of you and spent quality time with him?

*wipes brow* Good thing I read the comments before watching the video. I am at work and since I am a weeping willow, I would not want my colleagues to think I have gone mad. Will definitely watch it when I get home. Thank you Gryphen, Happy holidays you you and your wonderful daughter.

  34. The great thing, the really great thing about this video, is the fact that the young couple clearly knew their dads' reaction was going to be worth recording!

  37. How very sweet.

And to any homophobes out there...

    Read my lips,

people are BORN gay, other people are BORN hetero...

There. IS. NO. CHOICE. in. the. matter. PERIOD.

No one CHOOSES to be hetero, no one chooses to be gay.

There is NOTHING WRONG with loving someone of the same gender. NOTHING.

What is so wrong with love? Nothing. What is wrong with hate? Everything.

    Happy holidays everyone.

I have the same reaction no matter what sex the grandparents are, to me, it's only love, and there's nothing abnormal about it.

I hope, sometime in the future, your daughter films your reaction- and makes you post it here!

She's lucky to have a Dad like you in her life, who has her back and understands what unconditional love means. (If she marrys a Republican, this clause can be rescinded- just kidding)

    Namaste and Happy Holidays!

I was raised by conservative, churchgoing, abusive cold fish.

These two gay guys showed more love for their family in that one video than I got in 50 years.

    God bless them.
